Unfortunately it was so loud inside that conversation was hardly possible. But the food and service were very good.

Cozy atmosphere and very nice staff

Yesterday we were there for the first time with our dog, we had reserved and they gave us a very good place where our four-legged friend felt very comfortable and even got a treat on the house. We'll definitely be back soon, especially because of the good food.

TOURISTS BEWARE I ordered the full pork knuckle and they gave me a half, an obvious half. I pointed out to the waitress that I ordered a full, and she said that it was a full and that I was mistaken. I told her to return to the kitchen and ask the cooks to give me a full knuckle, and that it wasn't the first time I had eaten there. After more 20 minutes of waiting she reluctantly brought me a full knuckle and it was almost twice the size of what they had originally brought me. The waitress was not new, they were just trying to screw over a tourist. I didn't even get an apology.

If you love beer, definitely go.

Franzi's Bratenpfanderl has always been delicious, but it should be served hot rather than lukewarm. Otherwise it's a shame for the good ingredients. Unfortunately, the only hot thing was the dumplings.

Nice restaurant, cozy and delicious food

After a visit to the stadium, we came to the restaurant around 9 p.m. with 15 people to eat and drink. The service staff could tell that they had had a busy day (it was a free market) and yet we were treated very friendly and polite and served promptly.

The restaurant has a nice, rustic atmosphere. Our food (veal schnitzel and knuckle) was really good! We particularly liked the hospitality from the waitress Raphaela, who was super warm. You'll be happy to come back!

Ordered food, specified my deathly allergies and ended up getting food with the specific thing I’m allergic to. Waiter was laughing and thought it was a joke, racist slander was made. Highly inappropriate. Be careful because management doesn’t car.

We have been enjoying going to Paulaners an der Schlachte for almost 10 years. Food is always consistently high, service is well trained and very reliable even when it is busy. Prices are absolutely appropriate for the service.

The schnitzel could be bigger, but it was perfectly cooked. The staff could be more cordial. I understand that dealing with some drunk customers is not easy, but not everyone is going there with the same intentions.

I was here with some colleagues. Ordering was complicated and the waitresses were not very friendly. Paying the bill was an unprecedented complication. Even speaking English. Rude and nervous staff.

Paulaner's is a piece of Bavaria in Bremen, the food is excellent, the beer is great, as usual for Paulaner.

Very cool place. I ordered sausage, but no sauerkraut. The attendant was not satisfied and brought it, on her own, I ate it and liked it.

Rustically furnished Bavarian restaurant. We were kindly assigned a table. The waitress quickly took our order. Waiting time for drinks was less than 5 minutes. Food came after 15 minutes. The pork knuckle on offer was very well prepared. However, the skin might be a little crispy.

I can only praise the service. The atmosphere is also very pleasant. The food is typical Paulaner. The prices are reasonable and not too high.

What we personally disliked when making the reservation is that you can only book a time slot of two hours. So you feel a little under pressure. The service was a little slow but friendly. The food was delicious, although I found the composition of the side vegetables a bit strange. I also found it cheeky that there are no regular side dishes with the actual dish and you have to order everything for a fee. I liked the children's card, which also serves as a coloring sheet, and there were also pens.

I have a knuckle with sauerkraut and dumplings, unfortunately the knuckle wasn't crispy. I know the comparison because I've eaten a knuckle there before. Unfortunately, the toilets were also very protective that evening.

Found it by chance on a Saturday evening and thought it was good. Paulaner Spezi 0.5 L was a must. Top 👍. Nice hospitality and it tasted like Bavaria. Once again, potato salad without mayo, just “Schmaggofatz”. The knuckle, roast roulades and especially the beer 🍺 sauce are a dream

Food could be better, I have eaten better schnitzels, the atmosphere is informal but certainly cozy.

Beautiful, original restaurant with Bavarian-style home cooking. Good beer paired with traditional cuisine in an attractive ambience. Reservation was not necessary for two people per week. Everything great. Keep it up.

The food was very good and the portions were plentiful. The food could only have been a little hotter. But otherwise everything was top. Nice service and quick too.

The two of us got free seats on a Friday evening at a table where a single person was sitting. Perfectly fine for us - we hadn't made a reservation and were therefore happy that they were able to offer us two more chairs. The atmosphere is quite loud, narrow and very busy. You have to be able to tolerate loud screams from people who have “one too many beers”. But everything was cultivated. Schnitzel and salad were perfectly fine, only the fried potatoes were special for me. The amount of potatoes to onions felt like 1 to 1 and unfortunately the potatoes weren't really crispy either. I would generally come here again, but reserve a table first.

I'm in Bremen on business and had dinner here yesterday and today. Excellent brewery cuisine! And a team full of professionals! Congratulations! I'll come back when I'm in Bremen again!

Food corresponds to average brewery standards. Bavarian cozy atmosphere. Beer gardens with traditional seating do not necessarily invite you to linger for a long time. Service quick and friendly.

Absurd prices The knuckle, mind you without any side dish, now costs 21.00 euros. As a side dish (3.90) there aren't even dumplings, as it should be. Prices are slowly going towards Switzerland, but people there earn three times as much. A bottomless impudence, but there are always ignorant people who support it.

Rustic but good food in beautiful surroundings close to the water. A nice place to end the day in summer.

Where do I start... The good thing first: All in all, the service was quite nice. When I was paying, one of the gentlemen sent me back to my seat very directly and in a condescending tone, where I was allowed to wait 10 minutes. The ambience is chic, nothing special, but quite ok for what the Paulaner wants to be. The goulash I ordered is an absolute disaster. It is served with pork and beef, which was very dry and sometimes tough. I was expecting the pork, but I was particularly disappointed with the beef. The sauce is very tasteless and tastes a lot like ready-made sauce, very tasteless and much too thick. The goulash menu says champions, but the whole thing was served to me as a mix with chanterelles. I left the dish as a whole, inedible. I was also served fried potatoes and salad. All in all, despite the simple preparations, it was really a big disappointment. The fried potatoes were an overly fatty disappointment, tasteless and dry in the mouth, so I can assume that the potatoes are old. I didn't really get any stewed or "melted" onions; they were thrown into the pan shortly before they were ready and served very lightly fried, so it was actually a raw onion. I waited more than 5 minutes for the still water I ordered in a restaurant that was 1/4 full. I needed the water to somehow get the fried potatoes down. The salad that was given to me was unwashed and I hardly tasted any of the dressing, so I saved a lot of money. For the almost 25 euros for the dish you can eat much better in other restaurants. Final conclusion: I have never been as disappointed by a restaurant as I was at Paulaners. I like to eat out often, but that was a visit that I would like to erase from my mind.

We spontaneously got 2 seats on a Friday evening during a friendly phone call. Ordering was quick and easy. We were also informed that the dish was already sold out. The kind-hearted and caring waitress, Liesbeth, deserves special praise. She took the order wonderfully, checked with us several times to see if we needed anything and whether everything was OK, and also independently brought extra cutlery. All this despite a typical busy day. The food was also just great! Pork knuckle and rump steak were excellently prepared. Steak was medium rare and the surface was fried so nicely. The coleslaw and extra salad (Caesar) were also good. The beer, great! Gladly again.

There were five of us there with two large dogs. The staff tried very hard to find a suitable place for us. The service staff was very friendly and helpful. We were very happy with the food, good quality, large portions at a fair price. I can recommend the restaurant without reservations.

Ordered a schnitzel...received a mini salad with a small portion of fries...schnitzel was not tasty at all, the fat was floating on it...bah bah...I left it behind and just ate mini lettuce and fries

Well, what can I say - I just wasn't served. When I entered the restaurant, I asked the waitress scurrying past where I could sit down as a single guest. She assigned me a free table for two. Then I waited... After a few minutes I turned on my stopwatch. After five minutes I got up and left. The restaurant was about two thirds full. As I was leaving, I saw my waitress at the counter talking to a colleague. It certainly wasn't bad intentions on her part, but I was hungry and just wanted to eat and drink something. Too bad. I can recommend Feldmanns a few meters away. Friendly service, food is okay.

Food delicious, very little on the plate for the price, staff very nice and accommodating, next time I visit Bremen I wouldn't come here again for the simple reason that the price-performance ratio isn't right.

Wonderful location overlooking the river Great waiting staff. Food excellent but pricey as you have to pay for extras mashed potatoes etc 3.5 euros. Great beer definitely worth a visit

Service 1a! Food Well! To be honest: we have never had such a bad meal in a German restaurant. Potatoes weren't fresh. Veal schnitzel tough like rubber. Cocktails were good. Too bad! Never eat again! One star each for service and drinks. Way too expensive for the portions.

The location is very nice. The food is delicious. But the price is high for 2 people. I think they overcharged. One shinitzel, one meat dish and 2 drinks 66€. We also tipped 4.5€. When calculated according to the prices on the menu, the overcharge was charged.
