Achim's Beck'shaus in Bremen

Super disappointing, more cafeteria than pub. Admittedly, it was a Saturday but the dining room was initially moderately busy late in the afternoon. Without prior arrangement, our table was reserved for someone else 45 minutes later (when we were already sitting at the table), so not everyone had the opportunity to order food. Especially since there were at least 5 different drink menus and not all of them made it to the menu. Furthermore, there were incorrect drinks, only some cutlery and an incorrect bill to the detriment of the guest. Inn!!! Economic thinking is very important here. Understandable, but the core remains by the wayside. In other words, you felt more like the cow with husbandry level 5 that needs to be milked.

We were told we had to wait an hour for our food. It turned out to be 1.5 hour. We asked for a moscow mule for 6.66. It was not brought. Then after asking again it was brought to our table for 8.88. On the receipt both moscow mules were put on. So we had to pay extra for something we didn't get. (Us not checking good enough is our fault). Also the food for one person was burned. Will not be returning. Only the servers were nice. Also the mojitos were paid FULL price even though they were paid at happy hour. 11 instead of 6.66. Very dissapointed.

Unfortunately we couldn't get to our table early because it only became available at exactly 7 p.m. Although it is often customary to be able to be seated about 30 minutes in advance, I am not deducting a star for this as our reservation was actually confirmed for 7 p.m. and we were able to be seated on time. However, what was very disappointing was the long wait for our food. Due to the size of our group, we had to place our food orders in advance a week before our visit so that the kitchen could prepare and serve the food on time. Unfortunately, this didn't work out as planned: we had to wait almost 90 minutes for our food, even though we were previously assured that it would be served as soon as we arrived. Some members of our group left early because they still had a two-hour drive home ahead of them - that's why prompt service was particularly important to us. However, the restaurant apologized as it had a staff shortage due to sick leave. The food itself tasted very good, but the portions weren't exactly large. Overall, the visit was a bit disappointing and unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant for larger groups. However, recommended for a smaller group.

We were there with about 50 people on Friday lunchtime (St. Nicholas) with the Bremer Currywurst Society. A great experience and the restaurant is on the list “We can easily go there again!”. Thank you very much !!!

Unfortunately, we weren't thrilled there, very rude service, which certainly doesn't apply to everyone. Food was also bad. I had bruschetta, which tasted very musty. Ruckula was also no longer fresh, the currywurst with fries wasn't plump, very shriveled sausage than it was older Hot cocoa was water with a little milk, we let it go back then got a new one. Had to pay more as I calculated from the card then got a rude statement that the prices from the internet apply and not the one from the card that is on the table, why do you put expired cards there? Or you could have just let them know that the prices have changed, that they just don't have any new cards yet or something like that. Well, that's my opinion on that I probably won't really go there again, at least not to eat. I remember it very differently there, it's a shame

Hygienic “brilliant performance”... not! * Likewise, a chair that was taken away rudely and without comment (and without any need: the chair was simply shoved into a corner - it could be that it was a nuisance, but what's the problem, let's just ask?) * We were harshly interrupted in the middle of the conversation. * A colleague who had behaved correctly towards us was severely insulted in front of us by another service worker. * An order that had been returned simply came back slightly "pimped up". * When paying, we were told that some prices on the cards on display were no longer correct and that the online price was correct. Sorry, but there was no mention of that anywhere. This is fraud! * If a dish was not eaten, the person was teased for not eating it. When only one person was sitting at the table to wait for the other table neighbors who were just around the corner, two service staff lined up in front of the table in those few minutes because they obviously wanted to clear the table. Firstly, they could have already removed it and secondly, the restaurant was half empty at the time. What is something like that? *Paying guests were also expected to pay in the toilet. ... the list can be expanded as desired. It was just completely Kafkaesque! Unfortunately the food was not edible. * The arugula that was around the bruschetta was completely shriveled up. The bruschetta itself tasted musty (was tried by 3 people at the table). * The Kaiserschmarrn seemed to have been made on a powder basis. The applesauce was also very cheap. * The currywurst was shriveled up, was only briefly dipped in spiced ketchup before it ended up on the plate and the fries (without mayo or ketchup) were soggy and tasted like old fat! Was also tested by several people at the table. Unanimous opinion. * We let the cocoa go back because it tasted like hot water with powdered milk and an absolute minimum of cocoa. Because of what I ate, I had stomach problems half the night (another indication of the ready-made powder). This shop seems to function purely on the basis of its touristic location. We went to watch football in the Beckshaus. Ate schnitzel and drank beer and cocktails. Price-performance ratio is top. We had half a portion of the schnitzel and the quantity was absolutely sufficient. The service is quick and very friendly. Basically you can watch football on the many TVs from almost every place. You can also watch the games on the outdoor terrace. The only drawback that evening was that our TV blacked out for a few seconds every few minutes. You should check the technology at short notice. We'll see each other again at the next Werder away game.

The schnitzel portion was good but for €22 the quality wasn't right. We also ordered an XL cheeseburger for €19. Unfortunately, the wrong burger was brought first, so one person had almost eaten when the right burger arrived. We felt ripped off. The bun was mini, the meat was sticking out and the cheese looked like it belonged somewhere else. Super dry, zero taste and a disgrace for the price. The fries were good. While one person was still eating, it was already being cleared away. We definitely won't go there again.

After you have filled out everything, you will receive an email saying that you will receive the voucher within the next 24 hours. Today we were there a little earlier, unfortunately the voucher hadn't come by email yet when we showed the cellar the confirmation that the voucher should come by email within 24 hours, they just said there was nothing we could do, we still had to wait, so of course we didn't receive the promised 20%. We were traveling in Bremen and were looking for a place where we could have dinner in the evening. The place was packed, which is actually a good sign. Unfortunately one of the meals we had chosen was out, no problem, we quickly ordered a burger. It should be 2 burgers, one schnitzel with egg and fried potatoes and for the little one nuggets with fries. When we ordered, we were quickly told that the kitchen couldn't keep up and we had to wait a little longer. However, after ordering, it took over an hour for us to receive our food. Mind you, the neighboring tables ordered after us, but got their food after 15-20 minutes, we were still waiting with 2 hungry children by now. At some point it came. The chicken burger without breaded chicken, unlike what was stated on the menu, the BBQ burger tasted strongly of Maggi ketchup sauce instead of BBQ. There were 2x French fries and one wedge. Dry, neither ketchup, nor mayo, nor sour cream. Rather unknown for our tastes, but good. We then asked for ketchup and mayo. There was then 1 sachet of mayo and 2 sachets of ketchup. Very very little for our taste. The fries were almost salt-free. When it came time to pay, we waited another half hour because only one waiter seemed to have the authority to collect. €78 for the meal plus one drink each is anything but cheap. The waiter who served us tried hard and was very friendly, but due to the high number of visitors it was difficult to keep up with everything. I would like to give him 4 stars, unfortunately he was the only one of the service staff who looked after us who was really involved and cared.

Nevertheless, the team was extremely friendly and quick. The waiter came to our table and wanted to tell us that our meal might take longer, when at exactly that moment his colleague came with the eye candy. As I said, quick and super friendly. From the time we ordered to the time we got our drink, 15 minutes passed, then we got a bill for something we hadn't ordered, and after another 10 minutes we got our drink, but it took a full hour before we got our food, if only it had been as good as many reviews, we could have lived with it! We ate, paid and went our way never to visit this place again..... that's how it is! PS. There was far from a full house of guests!

Beckshausschnitzel with pepper sauce. I am passionate about eating schnitzels and have eaten many in different places. Unfortunately I didn't like it here. The schnitzel was totally acidic with lemon or vinegar or whatever. The fried potatoes are not crispy but soft and flaky, some of them raw on the inside. The pepper sauce was a little too watery. Unfortunately, no one came and asked the obligatory question whether everything was okay.

Im Vorfeld dieser Bewertung habe ich über das Kontaktformular der Homepage versucht, Kontakt mit dem Betriebsleiter aufzunehmen. Eine Antwort blieb allerdings aus. Ich hatte ein Schnitzel a la Meyer bestellt und musste feststellen, dass di Qualität des Fleisches gut war; die Qualität der Bratkartoffeln jedoch absolut nicht. Die Kartoffelscheiben waren nicht kross, sondern labbrig und vollgesogen mit Fett. Der Fettgeschmack war zudem unangenehm. Ich hatte das Gefühl, dass die Bratkartoffeln nicht gebraten worden sind, sondern in einer Fritteuse erwärmt wurden. Bei einem recht stolzen Preis von 22 Euro entsprach das Gericht absolut nicht meinen Erwartungen. Der Service hingegen war klasse. Die Getränke waren auch gut. Trotz meines Wunsches nach Aufklärung ließ sich an dem Abend kein Verantwortlicher aus der Küche an meinem Tisch blicken. Fazit: Ich als Bremer finde zum Essengehen bessere Alternativen. Ein Kunde weniger.

Il punto è contestualizzare il locale perché non si può avere una scala di punteggio unica che unisce i ristoranti stellati ed i fast food. In questo caso stiamo parlando di un “casual restaurant” nel centro di Brema. Io l’ho trovato un’ottima soluzione per un pasto ed un ristoro durante la visita della città. Il personale ci ha accolto in modo piacevole. Il menù offre parecchi piatti che difficilmente faranno guadagnare stelle Michelin al ristorante ma quello che ho mangiato io era onesto e gustoso. Prezzi assolutamente ragionevoli. Insomma se cercate un ristorante in città per un pranzo veloce lo consiglio

It was thinly formed meat, the breading was very limp and greasy. The chicken schnitzel didn't come breaded in cornflakes like it said on the menu. Unfortunately, the fried potatoes were just greasy and soggy. The hollandaise sauce came from a tetra pack. The portions were not large and poorly prepared. Absolutely not worth the money and we are very disappointed. In the end we were charged for changing the side dish from fries to fried potatoes, even though this was initially served incorrectly, the correct side dish then came too late and was just greasy and soggy. Unfortunately there was no satisfactory explanation from the waiter. Unfortunately we have to say that from the moment we sat down at the table until we paid, we were only disappointed. Service, quality of food and price were really very poor and unreasonable. There is a lot of work to be done by the management to improve this restaurant and provide customers with a better restaurant experience. We are very sad about the money we spent there.
