Very tasty wienerschnitzel. Friendly helpful staff. A bit loud and would be great with some sound adjusting cieling. But overall we love the food and a great variety of beers. I recommend this place.

Fantastic spot and definitely worth a visit. If you enjoy Paulaner, you’ll love the beer selection, but the food is just as impressive—the Bavarian Trio was delicious. The staff are friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is excellent. I liked it so much I came two days in a row before leaving Berlin. They even sell branded merchandise—I picked up a set of glasses as souvenirs

I give them credit, as they saved themselves from a bad review. They made the first weiner schnitzel I ordered poorly. The waitress was very apologetic (not her fault at all) and offered for them to remake it. The second one came out beautifully, no longer covered in burnt specks and oily, but a lovely golden all around. The manager came and explained the reasons, and I'll take his explanation at face value. I understand the establishment has a reputation to maintain. The chicken schnitzel was fantastic, with buttery, crispy, and creamy potatoes. Service was fantastic.

Yes, your shop is very nice, but your Bavarian counterparts (or originals) are far more cozy in terms of ambiance... but for Berlin, it's definitely worth a visit. No question... What makes your shop so great... your staff... too. I, Ibrahim... polite, funny, and very attentive. And the second gem in your service team: "Stam," a young Greek woman who hasn't been in Berlin very long, but understands the meaning of service. What it means to welcome customers/guests, to address them, and (unlike Berliners) speaks the language of hospitality. Despite a full house, being attentive in a restaurant isn't easy, and Ibrahim was also a true host. Thank you for the experience with you. I had the cheese spaetzle, which wasn't particularly good. The fried onions were old and tough. The spaetzle weren't seasoned either. No garnish...lacking. My colleagues' salad was from a bag and wilted. It had apparently been sitting in the kitchen for a long time. Probably okay for Asian tourists... otherwise, nothing special. I wouldn't go back.

Delicious beer - also many non-alcoholic versions, not very common in Germany! Quick serving, all perfect :) Highly recommended!

Food and beer was good but when I was about to pay, the waiter insisted that the bill was without tips. I gave him some as usual, but he was very angry and didn't even thank it. He did the same with American tourists. We are not cash cows. Be happy with what we gave !

We were very well looked after. The atmosphere was pleasant with good food and drinks.

Friendly is different..... We wanted a relaxed dinner in the evening. Only after we said we wanted food were we given a menu for two people. It was strange. The food was okay. And the price was okay, too. .

Overpriced place with food which resembles a fast food restaurant which makes the value for money ratio even worse. A place full of tourists like us, personally would not repeat and just the place we were trying to avoid. The stars on google were misleading.

I really don't like ripping restaurants, but this is absolutely unacceptable! The knuckle of pork was okay, but for that price, it was a no-go! The half chicken with fries was absolute rubbish. Any grill could do better. €18 for a dead sparrow that was barely cooked, the skin was completely soggy and had no seasoning at all! The ketchup was much cheaper! No thanks, never again Paulaner!

Τhis place is indifferent and full of tourists. The staff is slow and brought us the wrong order. It took them 45 minutes to bring us the correct dish. The prices are expensive for the low quality of the food. The snitchel tasted pre-heated from a microwave oven. The atmoshere is noisy and hectic. I wouldn't recomment it to anyone. You can find better eateries and true German pubs a few blocks down the road.

The server was very rude from the start. We were going to join friends and he was dismissive when we entered and said so. Our friends said he was very rude to them as well. Not sure if it’s because we were not German but possibly the reason. He was a little nicer to me when I spoke German but not by much. When we ordered, he was brash and made insincere responses when asked. The food was great and the beer was as well but the service ruined the experience.

The Paulaner Wirtshaus isn't really any different from the others in terms of ambiance. Unfortunately, the cheese spaetzle was a complete disgrace. I know you order something different in Berlin, but for €18, a lukewarm plate of ready-made spaetzle topped with cheese is a bit cheeky. The server was attentive and friendly.

We enjoyed the pork knuckle (1300g) and the chicken schnitzel, accompanied by a few Paulaner beers. The photo shows the final result. Highly recommended.

Where do I start? Drinks were completely missed, food arrived…. We had pork schnitzel with fries and I had a side of cheese spatzle. My partner had wings. The schnitzel was dry as a bone and tasteless. The dish came with a side salad that included wilted greens and the fries were just tasteless as well. The wings were wet. Not crispy and had some sort of weird rub on them. The spatzle was microwaved to melt the cheese. It arrived warm, dry and old……like yesterday old. I don’t recommend.

If there were negative points, I'd give it 3. We waited 20 minutes at our table and had to get the menu ourselves. We asked three times if someone would come and take our order. None of them were responsible.

We went there for the first time today. We were thrilled. The service was very friendly. Chris and Kimi were especially nice and accommodating when we asked what was open until after midnight on Sunday evening. The food was also very delicious. We highly recommend it.

Very good place for authentic German/Bavarian food.

Unfortunately, the portions of the vegetarian dishes were very small. The women's restroom was dirty, and unfortunately, we weren't allowed to sit outside. It was very dirty under our table; there was a cup, a piece of sausage, and a lot of dust and dirt.

The food was okay, but not wow, beer selection was great. Service was nice but a bit sparse. Very family friendly place.

Unfortunately, we were ignored for about 10 minutes. Some service staff were busy with themselves. We then decided to go to Lindenbeäu in the Sony Center. We had better luck there. What a pity...

A good place with a convenient location, the food is quite good, typical German. However, the prices are a bit high given the location. And it's a good place to have a good beer.

Classic Paulaner restaurant like those already present in Bavaria. Spacious and bright environment, fast service. Food quality promoted.

Think modern beer hall with long communal tables, bustling crowd, people talking over each other, large beer selection, etc. The food was surprisingly good. Service left much to be desired which is to be expected considering how busy it was.. Also, late at night so everybody is out. If you’re looking for a quiet intimate dinner with personal attention from the waitstaff, this is not it. But I think it is a great introduction to Germany, and anyone craving a hearty meal in a friendly, lively environment.

I went to the big 4 (Augustiner, Erdinger, Hofbrau and Paulaner) and this one was the worst by a long margin. Service was BAD, our waiter was clearly having a bad day and wanted to project this on us. No smiles, no care, he was ignoring us blatently, not to mention being sassy when I didn't pay tips. Food was average at best. Beer was the warmest by far. Try the other 3 before trying this one.

Our visit to Paulaner was deeply disappointing. First of all, the environment felt completely disorganized. We were seated at a table hidden behind a large plant, which not only isolated us from the rest of the restaurant but also made it very difficult for the staff to notice us. The waiter assigned to our table was inattentive and rude. He wouldn’t wait for us to finish asking our questions and, on multiple occasions, outright ignored our attempts to get his attention. The service was truly awful. As for the food, the Currywurst was extremely underwhelming – it honestly tasted like something straight out of a supermarket. Given the reputation and location of this restaurant, we expected a much higher standard. The dish came with a mountain of fries but barely any sauce, which made it dry and unappetizing. To make matters worse, the beer was served very warm – completely unacceptable for a place that brands itself as a traditional German brewery. When compared to other iconic beer halls like Hofbräuhaus, Augustiner, and Erdinger, Paulaner falls far behind in quality but somehow manages to be the most expensive of them all. Do yourself a favor: skip this location entirely and opt for any of the three mentioned above. I will definitely not be returning.

Took our three adult sons for dinner. Large restaurant. Lots of outdoor seating. No wait. The food exceeded our expectations! Loved the traditional options. It wasn’t too busy. A reminder to Americans the outdoor patio is where everyone smokes so keep that in mind when requesting seating.

A true Berlin experience 🤣...But the dark wheat beer and the trio (pork knuckle, two grilled Nuremberg bratwursts, and a golden-fried chicken schnitzel) were simply delicious. And you can sit outside, even with a view of the greenery.

Came in tired, were met by the waiter and seated instantly. Service was helpful and friendly. Ordered sausages and local beer. Food arrived fast and was delicious. 4.5 out of 5. Great place to have lunch at Potsdamer platz!

Good food and nice atmosphere, recommended

The waitress was rude and ignored our attempts to call her over. However, other tables she went to when they called her over. It was very odd considering our table was full of people with people of color and the other tables were full of white people. The service was incredibly slow because the waitress ignored us the whole time. The food was alright but did not make up for the issues with the service.

The beers and atmosphere are very good. The food is also pretty good.

Food was sublime. It arrived lukewarm to cold. It didn't taste good either. Staff was ok. No recommendation.

Staff very friendly, but the rest is underground! Since nothing is freshly prepared, the food comes very quickly. It looks delicious at first, but it's all cold. And for these exorbitant prices you expect freshly cooked food. A meal was brought incorrectly - anything can happen, and it was taken back immediately. But then the same plate came back with only the meat replaced. Everything was cold and the side dishes didn't correspond to the menu at all. And to top it off, the full €30 was charged. The facility has nothing of Bavarian cosiness and the fact that one of the employees is wearing lederhosen is a bit confusing. No, we didn't feel comfortable, will never eat there again and don't recommend it. But the staff is very friendly!!!

The service seemed super listless and disinterested. Unfortunately, the food (3 different dishes) hardly tasted like anything and when we asked if there was any more asparagus, the waiter told us that he didn't recommend the asparagus because the inn doesn't prepare the asparagus well. The four of us were pretty speechless. All in all, both the food and the service can be improved.

Terrific place if you want good German food. They also had a delightful selection of N/A craft beers, which was very exciting for someone who doesn’t drink alcohol, but enjoys the craft of brewing. Excuse my half eaten meal photo, but I was so hungry I forgot the camera eats first.

Sensational! Went to Paulaner for lunch with a group of 48 people on May 6, 2025. Pork knuckle with cabbage and bread dumplings and a Paulaner Salvator were eaten and drunk, the day was saved. Delicious. The service was quick, friendly and helpful. Great team, my wife and I were in good hands and felt very comfortable. Thank you very much. Highly recommended. My wife couldn't manage the knuckle because it was very big and the skin was super crispy. Help came immediately, a container and a bag to take away were handed out. Let's eat cold together this evening. This Paulaner can be highly recommended. Delicious!!! With a friendly SERVUS, Helga & Leopold from Hamm remain.

The restaurant is ok, but the food is totally overpriced and the portions are tiny The taste is so-so... e.g. sausage salad in a compote bowl (small) €11 never again!!!

Me and my boyfriend went for lunch and some beers at this place today. It was really warm outside (28 degrees) but the guys did not lose their cool. Even though it was really busy on the terrace, we good our beers in a couple minutes and our food in maximum 10. One waiter specifically stood out, he was running for two hours straight. A lot of customers were kinda rude to him, but he remained calm and polite. We ate the pork knuckle and the half chicken. The food was really good, but the portions were quite big. We both could not finish our dishes. Overall a good experience. I would definitely recommend.

Actually, one star is still too many. The service is very nice and the beer is also okay. But the food is a disaster! The asparagus was cooked for a long time, poorly peeled and the knives were blunt?! Everything was served in enamel bowls that had a lot of the enamel chipped off. I'll never eat here again! P.S. If there is already little seasoning, salt and pepper shakers should be available.

Great Italian food and a great vibe.

The food was ok. However, it is served in a sheet pan. At these prices I can actually expect to be able to eat from a decent plate. In my opinion, the Kaiserschmarren at €12.50 is completely overpriced. It was served in a pan where not even the bottom was covered with Kaiserschmarren. As a portion size for a dessert, it's completely sufficient, but the price should be closer to €8.50, then it'll be fine. In my opinion everything is a bit too expensive.

Although at the time we visited it was full of people, a table was quickly found and in a very good location. The schnitzel perfectly cooked (only Germans and Austrians know how...), the salad just as good, as well as the meat balls. The main dishes with potatoes. And what can one say about the beer? Reasonable prices. All this for around 60 euros. The area is perfect. If you find yourself in Berlin, don't ignore it

Good Bavarian food with generous potions, and quick service. A good selection of beer. Not a lot of atmoshere, however a good place to grab a meal close to other tourist sites.

Good beer, meh food, but why is it that whenever waiters hear English they shout loudly and proudly at the end of your meal "The tip isn't included"? I go to the same restaurant with friends speaking German or Italian or Franch, get the same waiter and they don't try to take advantage of us assuming we're American. Shame on you.
