Paulaner Braustüberl in Limburg a.d.Lahn

We were a large tour group. We ordered rump steak with fries and salad. The meat was past its best. My wife's piece smelled off around the edges. Dessert was served incorrectly, and the ordered cup of coffee never arrived. What bothered us most was that after they had taken the orders of over 50 people and already served us, they said they could only pay in cash. The restaurant's guest list worked without a hitch, though! We'll stop somewhere else next time.

So, 2 stars overall is really generous. 1 star for the restaurant, and the 2 star is only for the waiter. He's great. But when the waiter doesn't ask after the meal whether you enjoyed it, but rather whether you're full, that says it all. You can come here for a drink. If you want to enjoy the food, don't bother. Nothing tastes good at all.

We were able to reserve a last table for two people. The service was excellent; they were both very busy, and all the tables were occupied, but they still looked after the guests attentively. The food and drinks were very good. It doesn't have the typical atmosphere of a brewery. Our clothes smelled strongly of frying oil afterward. We would go there again. That's the main thing.

Very good, home-style cooking at fair prices. The atmosphere is very friendly, and I always enjoy coming back to this restaurant with my friends, whether in spring, summer, fall, or winter. We prefer the lunch specials, which are always offered with an additional dish depending on the season. One or more visits are highly recommended!

There's a minimum amount for card payments. Even though it was busy, our food arrived quickly. The staff were very friendly. The schnitzel was really good.

We were at Paulaner around lunchtime, and I actually wanted to order a pork knuckle. (I had specifically researched the menu, and the website said to allow a 35-minute wait.) The waiter then told me it would take at least an hour because they had to fire up the oven first, because it couldn't run all day due to the costs...??? Aside from the fact that I, as a guest, don't care, the knuckle should be removed from the menu. After all, when else would a knuckle be ordered other than at lunchtime and dinner? I had no choice but to order a schnitzel, which was good. But we probably won't be coming back as guests. I was very disappointed.

Very cozy, and still lots of people coming so late at night. But unfortunately, there were lots of wasps, and the schnitzels were very dry.

Where the customer is definitely not king. Even though the terrace was still full, we could only have one more drink...the seat covers were already being taken away...and when we paid by card, there was a dance...that we had to pay in cash. That was the first and last time here.

We've been there several times for dinner. Last time, we tried the lunch special: goulash with dumplings and red cabbage. After all the restaurants have raised their prices, it's a really tasty alternative. We'll be back. For lunch and the regular menu, too.

Ich habe mit Freunden meinen Geburtstag dort gefeiert. Wie vorher angemeldet, war sowohl ein Tisch draußen wie auch drinnen reserviert. Als Begrüßung und Willkommensgeschenk erhielt ich eine große Schachtel "Belgische Pralinen" überreicht! Ein sehr netter Zug wie ich empfand. Ich wohne in Limburg und kehre im Braustuberl gerne mit Freunden ein. Der Grund ist sehr einfach: Die Speisekarte deckt von Steak, Schnitzel, Haxe bis hin zu vegetarischem Essen, Salaten und Kleinigkeiten alles ab! Wer hier nichts findet ist selber schuld. Ich bin dort noch nie Qualitätsmäßig enttschäuscht worden! Man sagt, je grösser die Karte, desto mehr Abstriche muss man machen. Hier ist die Speisekarte reichhaltig, aber dennoch übersichtlich, weil es von einem Gericht viele kleine Variationen gibt, so dass es keiner riesigen Bevorratung bedarf! Das Essen war immer frisch zubereitet und wichtig, warm serviert! Unsere beiden Wirte, Hermann und Sahne sind echte Urgesteine, so wie ich es aus meiner Heimatstadt Bonn/Köln gewohnt bin. Immer für einen Scherz zu haben und können bei Bedarf auch das Publikum spontan begeistern! Einen recht herzlichen Dank Euch beiden!! The worst schnitzel in a long time. There were two of us eating here, we both ordered a Jägerschnitzel, what we got was more like a Jägerbriquette, one side, of course the bottom, was charcoal black, both schnitzels. Maybe that explains the waiting time of almost 45 minutes in an almost traditional restaurant. The fried potatoes were more like oil potatoes, without spices and hardly any roasted aromas, the few onions that were present were the same color as the schnitzel and the bacon could only be guessed at. The sauce didn't taste bad, but the mushrooms in it didn't seem particularly fresh... When you pay almost 24 euros for a schnitzel, you can certainly expect more. In terms of craftsmanship, it was a smooth 6. The meat itself was of good quality, but the only thing we knew about the meat hammer was through hearsay. How you can give out such food for such a price is incomprehensible to me. At least the salad and soup beforehand were quite good. As an apology there was always a beer on the house from the waitress, who was visibly embarrassed by the situation, but that was the first and last visit here.

Ich kann hier leider nur 3 von 5 geben, da es einfach kein sehr gutes Restaurant ist. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und das Bier ist süffig. Die Karte hat, neben einigen bayrischen Gerichten, auch verschiedene Schweineschnitzelvariationen. Es ist nichts außergewöhnliches aber sehr solide und uns hat es geschmeckt.

Incredibly expensive, food average to poor, the Paulaner Schnitzel is nothing special yet oily and hard to digest, and costs €22,90, 5 euros more than any decent German restaurant for that dish. Beer more expensive than in any other Biergarten, and they charged the beauty of €2,50 (without previous warning from the waiter) as additional charge for paying with credit card! Never seen in Germany. Walk away from this forgettable experience, there is plenty of good options around.

We ended up here by chance and got a nice place without a reservation. We were greeted and served in a very courteous and friendly manner; the menu contains typical brewery cuisine. We were informed that there would be a longer wait for the Haxe, and we passed the time with delicious Oktoberfest beer. This was rewarded with the best knuckle (sorry, your beloved Bavarians! But in Hesse they also have hamses!) that ever came to my plate. Torsten and Hermann eloquently and calmly provided the full house with food and drink and were not at a loss for a humorous quick remark. We really felt completely at home and will be happy to come back! Thumbs up!

Except for the ambience, it's okay

We arrived with three wheels after a heavy rain. Chairs were already folded up. No problem, the bikes were allowed to park in the beer garden and the chairs were put back in their normal position. The staff, like in Bavaria. Quaint, friendly, nice. Always my pleasure.

First the positive: the beer was good! :-) However, we (6 people) were very disappointed with the food. The schnitzels are too salty, the pretzels, which cost 1.40 euros, are tiny and hard. Following a tip, the schnitzel was remade, unfortunately with the same result. Weisswurst and pretzel were not charged. Unfortunately, before the - really friendly worded - complaint, the staff had already missed the workshop “With friendliness to satisfied guests”, they were later told “We're just not in Munich, here the pretzels are like that”. It was an experience with no risk of repeating it, Limburg has a lot more to offer in terms of good gastronomy with great service! The same applies here: the name alone will not finance a restaurant forever

Very tasty jaeger schnitzel. You get a very large piece of meat and more than enough potatoes here. The service was friendly and everything was clean. Sanitary facilities are also neatly maintained. Only downside. The cola and Fanta taste like a syrup with water instead of real. But otherwise really good.

I had dinner at the Paulaner Braustübel again and it was fantastic! This time I tried the asparagus with schnitzel and it was simply delicious. The food was freshly prepared and of excellent quality. As always, the service was very friendly and attentive. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. I'll be back on May 1st, 2024 and can't wait! Highly recommended

Welcomed here in a very friendly and interested manner. There were 9 of us, we had a good seat and very nice, friendly service. I'm not a schnitzel fan at all but I would order it again. And the delicious beer with it.......

Braustüberl| das einem nicht vom Hocker hebt.Essen mässig eher normal als was besonderes. Besonders aufgefallen ist mir nur,daß man seine Rechnung mit dem Bestellten vergleichen sollte.

Essen war sehr gut... Toiletten ließen zum wünschen übrig...

Der Gast wird zu Servicekraft und soll den Teller reichen. „Teller bitte“ Das Essen hingegen ist Top, zartes Schnitzel, leckerer Beilagensalat. Allerdings leider nicht der Service, wie ich Ihn mir vorstelle.

For a great authentic German experience on food, drink and service this one is a must. Traditional high quality, well proportioned serves from a very varied menu will meet everyone’s needs. Friendly German service seems to stand as a priority impressing both my brother and myself during our recent visit. We both had the best entrees we have had for a long time with the Camembert w cranberry and toast with so much more added. The main schnitzels were divine. Often they are served from left over bits of meat pushed together to create something like a schnitzel. Since we are in germany AND, at this amazing place I did not expect anything less than we received. A great pice of pork encased in fresh crumbed casings. The sauces were Devine. My brother had the “Jager” and I had the “Zigeuner” accompaniments. Fantastic!! The service continued friendly and happily. Food, German beer, and service all well received at great value. Sehr guter Service, bestes bayrisches Essen, leckeres Bier

Kann ehrlich gesagt nicht verstehen, wie die guten Bewertungen zustande kommen. Das Essen schwimmt im Fett. Die „Röstis“ kommen aus der TK. Sind innen noch gefroren und außen ebenfalls pures Frittierfett. Bedienung ist sehr nett. Das preis Leistung Verhältnis passt leider gar nicht.

Hier gibt es gutes, deftiges Essen. Man hat keine langen Wartezeiten. Das Preis Leistungs Verhältnis stimmt. Außerdem wird man hier sehr nett bedient.

Gutes Essen , leckeres Bier. Personal leider zu defensiv. Könnten mehr Umsatz machen , wenn man bei einem leeren Glas mal aktiv nachfragen würde. Deshalb keine volle Punktzahl.

Nichts besonderes, das Schnitzel kann man in jedem Imbiss so bekommen. Bier war sehr gut. Beim Ambiente fehlt mir das Bayrische.
