We visited the location on the recommendation of our hotelier. It's a nice place to sit in an alley in the old town. The selection of dishes is very down-to-earth and clear. The food was very tasty for us and the service was friendly. The evening can end comfortably here.

Shortly before 9 p.m. we were looking for a place that was still serving food. The castle cellar was the exception in the service desert. We were warmly welcomed and served. My wife suffers from allergies and cannot tolerate carrots. When the hand cheese came, there were carrots on it. We forgot to mention it. A new portion came immediately without any problems, with a smile! Gladly again at any time.

The atmosphere in the castle cellar is excellent and you feel like you have been transported 300 years into the past. The waitress was very friendly and we got our food quite quickly. The taste was fantastic and the quantity was just right. Clear recommendation!

We arrived in Limburg today for a short vacation and noticed the castle cellar while walking through the city center. Quaint half-timbered house, very friendly staff and delicious food, what more could you want! The beetroot carpaccio with buffalo mozzarella was very tasty and highly recommended! The dark cellar beer is also great. We had a lovely evening here, thank you!

You should at least try to get the drinks a little quicker, because then we wouldn't have endured the long waiting time as much. The great food made up for us a bit ☺️

This was answered in the affirmative. After we sat down outside, after 10 minutes (time is irrelevant in this case) the menus were thrown onto the table without a greeting or any comment. The service simply leaves...without saying anything. With all the love and all the staff shortages... But I can personally choose where I go out to eat. But if someone wants to make money...you should work on your attitude. Of course, at that moment we decided against the restaurant and left. An absolute no go!!!

Dessert was ordered and completely forgotten. Then came upon request. Underbaked chocolate cake with a liquid center. Everything was fluid. Not to mention the extremely well-fed mouse on the way to the toilet. The door was open to the outside, where the cooks go to smoke. I pushed the mouse out with my foot several times and closed the door. But she was determined to “go home” again. The low prices and the beautiful, old ambience didn't change anything. I don't have to have it again, sorry.
