Pat-A-Tat in Berlin

On March 10, 2025 around 6 p.m. my mother and I visited Pat A Tat and unfortunately had an extremely unpleasant experience with the service. Instead of welcoming us in a friendly manner, we were treated with a disrespectful and rude manner that spoiled the entire stay. It's a real shame that one person can do such damage to an otherwise great restaurant with good food. According to the neighboring stands, this waitress is already known for treating customers disrespectfully and literally picking fights - and unfortunately that's exactly what we had to experience first hand. Because of this experience we will not visit this restaurant again. Customer service should come first, but here we were proven wrong. Very disappointing!

One of the best fries I know. The boss is super nice and you get better advice than in most stores where you drop hundreds of euros.

Very freshly prepared food. Very nice owner from the Netherlands. Very fair prices. Cozy and creatively decorated restaurant. Try the corn dog or the homemade fries with Joppie sauce. We would be happy to come back.

Don't be so cruel :) – Really? Reacting so ironically to legitimate criticism shows how little you care about your customers' opinions. Instead of admitting the mistake and responding professionally, the situation is simply ridiculed. This is called disrespecting customers who have invested extra time and effort. If you continue to treat your guests this way and at the same time leave misleading offers, you don't have to be surprised about further bad reviews. Good luck with this attitude - the competition is sure to be happy about every new guest who prefers to go somewhere else because of such experiences.

Misleading advertising & deliberate customer fraud – absolute impudence! This store continues to advertise that it accepts Neotaste - both on the official Neotaste platform and on other channels. However, I was informed on site that the offer was no longer valid, even though it was not marked anywhere. According to employees, the CEO simply decided not to release it anymore without making it public. This is a clear violation of Section 5 of the UWG (Law against Unfair Competition), as it advertises an offer that actually no longer exists - this is called misleading business practices. The Price Information Ordinance (PAngV) also applies here, according to which advertised prices and offers must be clearly visible and binding for consumers. I traveled an extra 30 minutes to take advantage of the advertised offer, only to be rudely brushed off on site. This is not only brazen, but also fraudulent towards customers. If an offer is no longer valid, it should be immediately removed from all official sources - anything else is simply customer deception! I will also inform Neotaste so that this store will hopefully be removed from the program. Anyone who cannot make fair offers and instead lures people in with false promises does not deserve to be supported. Absolute zero number! My opinion that I represent. Maybe Maurice Palms would like to get in touch.

I was looking forward to taking advantage of this store's "2 for 1" offer through the Neotaste app, which I pay for monthly to receive exclusive deals. My disappointment was even greater when I made the journey from Spandau - only to be told at the checkout that the offer was no longer valid. Even though it was still shown as available in the app! Misleading advertising & legal issues The behavior of this store is not only unprofessional, but also highly questionable from a legal point of view. According to German law, there could be several legal violations here: 1. Misleading advertising (Section 5 UWG – Law against Unfair Competition) • The offer is still advertised as valid in the Neotaste app. Customers who rely on this and travel specifically are being deliberately deceived. 2. Violation of the transparency requirement (§ 307 BGB – ineffective general terms and conditions clauses) • If a company places an offer that can be viewed publicly, it must also be possible to redeem it as advertised. A sudden arbitrary change by the boss is not legal. 3. Possible breach of contract (§ 241 BGB – additional obligations arising from contracts) • Using the app creates a contractual basis between me as a customer and the provider. If this is refused without a valid reason, this could constitute a breach of contractual obligations. Unfriendly service & lack of customer focus In addition to the legal issues, the customer service was simply disrespectful. Instead of finding a solution, I was simply brushed off. A customer-focused company would have at least tried to find a replacement or compensation - but here? Nothing! Conclusion This store uses bait-and-switch offers to attract customers, only to make them checkout without honoring the promised discounts. This is not only dubious, but could also have legal consequences. I can only advise everyone not to visit this store!

Completely dry potato sticks. No sign of double frying. More like thrown into the grease three times. Satay sauce was more of a thick paste. Apparently it's been in the warming container for ages. I then added the mayo to get away from the salt in terms of taste. The mayo is then the lowest level of edibility. And I thought I could eat some good fries after years of abstinence. I wanted to combine that with a corn dog. They didn't even exist. Well, how should I rate the ambience? It's just a feed cellar. There's not much in the way of ambience. If the tables had at least been clean... clean tables would have been enough for 5 stars It's really bad when Fites Saté, Frikandel Special, and croquettes have been loved since childhood and then something like that is served. Really regrettable the visit.

Big portions and finally crispy fries in Berlin.

Mega!!! Been there today. This is how fries have to be. Crispy and home-made. And only waited 5 minutes. Any time.

Been there today. We only ordered one fries and had to wait 15 minutes. The young employee was on her cell phone the whole time. She listened/recorded audios all the time and argued. That dragged everything out and brought the whole mood down. The peanut sauce was very over salted. not edible.

Super tasty food, friendly Dutch owner. Had something to eat here for the first time yesterday after watching several videos on YouTube. Eating here for the second time now. We've been here before and unfortunately we weren't that impressed. After a conversation with the boss, where we found out that immediate action was taken, we are more than thrilled. The food is freshly prepared, hot and very edible. The quantity is more than enough. The different sauces taste very tasty. So we would definitely like to come back. 5 stars - not out of emotion, but out of conviction. This is how good food should be.

I've wanted to try it out here for a long time and was very happy about it, but my joy came to an abrupt end. Food has never been so inedible. We had to wait a relatively long time because the fries and the corn dog basically just had to go into the deep fryer, but okay, you can ignore that. However, afterwards everything tasted like old fat and was very mushy. A few bites and the rest unfortunately ended up in the trash. After we brought this up, all we got was a timid smile and an “I’m sorry.” Once and never again!!!

Why this store isn't a franchise model yet is a mystery to me. Top quality fries, fish & chips as delicious as I've only ever had in Great Britain, a large selection of dressings. Chicken with fries is also highly recommended. The operator has created numerous unique selling points and is a pearl in the shopping center. One can only hope that others follow the quality and attention to detail of the ambience of this food court stand and put in the same effort.

What a great spot. The best chips you'll ever eat in your life, made fresh every day, topped with the crispiest, tastiest chicken. Saw a vid about it a few months ago on Youtube and made sure to stop by during my recent stay in Berlin. Well worth every km of the trip from Sydney, Australia - dank je vel!

Highly recommended. We had chicken fries and corn dog fries. Super tasty. The owner is very nice and super on the ball. If we are in Berlin again, a visit is of course a must.

I've been here several times and have always been surprised at how good the fries are and how nice the service is. A clear recommendation for everyone who comes to Berlin or lives here. 🥰

Today we ate a portion of fries and decided on the ketchup-mayo-onion version as a dip. It was very delicious. Fries crispy and delicious in taste. It was well seasoned, the onions were chopped nicely and the portion size was also very generous. The service was extremely friendly and cool. We had a short, funny small talk with the fries. All in all great and a quick snack when shopping :-)

The best restaurant in the mall food court by far. We had the chicken fries and fish & chips and both were delicious and very flavorful. The chicken was delicious and so were the fries, the fish was also really good and with minimum oil (which is not easy to achieve in fish & chips) and the sauces were also very tasty and a great complement to the food. I should also mention that the service is really really friendly, the service alone is already enough to make me want to return to the restaurant.

Excellent value for money. I got the fries and the chicken with a sauce. All good, tasty and made on the spot. The venue is a stand inside "Wilma" the shopping center on Wilmersdorferstrasse. Very popular, relatively new and above all CLEAN. The bathrooms are close, clean and free. Very nice to see that there is still someone who cuts and fries potatoes, without using frozen bags. Fast, easy-going and very kind service. Highly recommended for a quick lunch or dinner. Also great for children.

Saw a report on YouTube, thought I had to go there (when there was time) then finally did it after a year, easy to find in the Wilma, we ordered 🍟 with chicken and once fish and 🍟, super tasty, then ordered a portion of super delicious red cabbage salad, with 2 drinks it cost €30.00, You can't do it often, but it was worth the trip, keep it up 👍

I ordered chicken fries and for a drink a mischmasch and 2 sauces red hot and Joppy sauce. The chicken Was damn good damn and I mean damn good it was crispy juicy seasoned Beautiful to look at and with the sauce even more delicious and the fries were nicely sized and crispy and also beautiful to look at it was so delicious and I wish I would've found this restaurant earlier I could whole heartedly recommend eating here

Super great idea, we could go for it, especially the peanut butter sauce with mayonaise together, it creates an incredible taste explosion :) Chicken super juicy, always fresh. And the boss is super nice, we now want to eat there every Friday :)

Simply the best fries in town, and that "Side dishes" i.e. chicken, fish, etc. are delicious and juicy and the dips are a hit. After eating here, you'll stay full.

Mega delicious food. The service is super nice and, as is the old Dutch style, there was a fried Mars at the end. Gladly again !

The fries and sauce were very good. The fried chili chicken was unfortunately disappointing. Meat was quite fatty something I didn't expect with fried chicken. Some parts also very dry. The chicken was disappointing, especially because of a lot of fat between the meat. Price is a bit higher than fast food elsewhere, but considering the work and freshness and also the taste of the fries, that is fine and understandable. If the chicken had been better it would have been 5 stars.

Nothing compared to the snacks from the Netherlands. The peanut sauce is too thick and tastes pale. The famous Joppie sauce tastes nothing like it and the corn dog doesn't come close to the original. All in all a disappointment. The best was the guacamole.

Super juicy chicken on the fries. The skin is really nice and crispy. Fries delicious, a few seconds less in the oil then perfect. The service was also very friendly. We'll be back. Price performance is also right here.

Yesterday after training we wanted to test something different. I googled corn dogs and came across Pat-A-Tat in the Wilmersdorfer Arcaden. We had corn dogs that only come with chicken sausage, fish n chips and fries with Mexican guacamole or something similar. The beef sandwich I wanted to eat wasn't available. I don't like it at all when there are dishes that aren't on the menu. Btw the map isn't that extensive. The fries were great, especially with the sauce combo. The garlic mayo wasn't a burner, the normal mayo (Metro house brand) was better. The fried fish was good. The corn dogs were ok. I think the corn dogs would have been even better with beef or pork sausage, but here too the trend is increasingly towards offering food that is halal or at least for people who don't eat pork. We went to Pat a Tat for lunch today. There were fries made from fresh potatoes. The Dutch can deep fry. Banger! My little one was allowed to “craft” fries directly from potatoes using the french fries machine :) The owner is super nice! I can only recommend. We felt in great hands. See you next time!

Absolut freundliches Personal, sehr leckeres Essen, super Auswahl. Kann ich nur empfehlen, wenn man mal im Wilma Berlin ist. Das frittierte Hähnchen mit diesen unglaublich leckeren Pommes sind immer einen Stopp wert. Die Soßen schmecken richtig gut zum Essen...man wird auch beraten, wenn man nicht weiß, was man für eine Soße/Dip nehmen soll. Absolut empfehlenswert!☆

Als es mir besser ging haben wir Fries und Corndogs zum mitnehmen geholt, es war mein erster Corndog und ich bin begeistert, auch die Fries sind super lecker und schmecken noch nach richtiger Kartoffel. Ich kann das Essen dort nur empfehlen, wirklich sehr sehr lecker. 👍🏼

Heerlijke stemming, beste friet en een eerlijke hard werkende man. Zo als ik heb begrepen uit traditie, net als de vorige generatie hier mee verder gaat, Z’n vader kan alleen maar trots zijn als die dit zou zien. Heerlijke kibbeling, Next level Friet en werkelijk snel en klantvriendelijk. wie hier nog wat negatiefs te melden heeft mag niet meer mee spelen. A+ of gewoon 10/10 voor alles wat je hier eet. 🫶 komme auf jeden Fall wieder, aber dann bring ich meine Freunde mit.

Da essen (Chicken Fries) war zu fettig und schmeckten nach Ranzigem Öl, schade um das schöne Geld. Ich hätte gewarnt sein müssen als ich die Kleidung der Bedienung sah, die stand vor Dreck. Das Gesundheitsamt sollte dich mal den Laden anschauen. Nie wieder! Bin kein Konkurrent, bin eine enttäuschte Kundin.

Bei Pat a tat liegt der fokus auf dem essen. Nette, modern eingerichtete kleine Küche, die im vergleich zu den anderen Imbissen auf dem food court heraussticht! Der Besitzer ist super freundlich und war sofort zu einem Plausch bereit. Wir haben die Chicken-fries bestellt und waren begeistert! Die Holländer können einfach frittieren! Die fries waren sehr knusprig und innen weich. Das Chicken ist perfekt, außen knusprig und innen saftig. Für den preis wirklich eine ehrliche portion!

Die Corndogs sind super lecker! Der Food Corner ist echt schön geworden. Tolle Atmosphäre. 10/10 Sterne an den Pat-A-Tat-Mitarbeiter, der einem Bedürftigen heute Essen + Getränk spendiert hat. Menschlich einfach top!

Wyspa gastronomiczna w centrum handlowym, więc ruch do okoła spory. Widziałem to miejsce na filmiku o berlińskim street foodzie. Pan chyba właściciel bardzo sprawnie i z uśmiechem ogarnia wszystkie zadania. W około wyspy bar i hokery przy których można zjeść. Frytki robione ze specjalnego gatunku ziemniaków, smażone ze skórką są naprawdę pyszne. Box z frytkami, sosami, smażonym na chrupiąco kawałkiem kurczaka posypanym posiekaną natką pietruszki PALCE LIZAĆ ❗️❗️❗️ Zdecydowanie było warto odwiedzić to miejsce. Kolejna wisienka na gastronomicznej mapie Berlina 👍👍👍🍟🍟🍟🍗🍗🍗🤤🤤🤤

I usually don’t eat in a shopping mall, but for the best fries in town I’m willing to make even bigger compromises. When you learn about the story about Pat-A-Tat, the food will be even more delicious and you’ll find yourself enjoying the atmosphere and the occasional chit-chat with the owner or the amazing staff.

Delicious food and quick service. I highly recommend the Fried Chicken with Fries, its the best. The corn dog is very good too. Portions are quite generous, you can actually share with another person as it comes with a lot of food.

Als ich gesehen hab, dass es hier Corndogs gibt, bin ich spontan hier eingekehrt. Die kriegt man nämlich sonst nirgendwo, außer natürlich in den USA. Es war sehr lecker, auch die Fries waren wirklich gut gemacht. Und die Mitarbeiter waren auch sehr freundlich! Das Gesamtpaket passt also, ich werde definitiv wiederkommen!

Sehr leckere Pommes, die es mit vielen unterschiedlichen Saucen zu kaufen gibt. Mein Favorit ist die Erdnusssauce. Habe in Berlin noch keine besseren Pommes gegessen. Mein Kollege hat sich in die Corndogs verliebt. Der Inhaber ist auch sehr nett und immer zu einem Plausch bereit, wenn es die Zeit her gibt. Also Maurice mach weiter so , wir kommen immer wieder gerne zu dir 🙂
