I visited the pasta workshop for the second time. The ambience is really great. Unfortunately, on both the first and second visits it was noticeable that the service was not particularly friendly. On our last visit, a third person came later (after dinner). This was simply completely ignored. The food was okay but that could be better. Pasta itself was cooked very well, but both dishes lacked seasoning or taste. Very unfortunate.

Yesterday we walked past the pasta workshop, after a coffee at lunchtime the workshop came back to our memories. We were greeted warmly and easily got a table by the window. The ambience looks very inviting from the outside. The staff was very friendly and personable. The pasta was very tasty and was also well prepared. Price-performance ratio was perfectly fine. What I personally think is great is that the Pasta Workshop makes its own pasta and also sells it at the counter. Another positive aspect that I noticed at the checkout is that they participate in Too good to Go and sell excess food instead of throwing it away. Conclusion: great restaurant with good dishes and a relaxed atmosphere

The service was TOP because we ordered through Wolt and got our money back. We waited almost 2 hours for our food and then of course the pasta was cold and really bad, so I've never seen such a heartless portion of pasta with salmon before. My trash can was happy and so was the store we had to order from.

It was very delicious however take into consideration that the toppings are expensive and not in price included! You have to pay extra even though it isn’t shown on the menu. Be extra careful of the truffle‼️⚠️ Otherwise the staff was really really nice and kind. The portion were not too much but also not too small it was perfect size and it was served fast. So overall 4,5 stars

It's always delicious here and now there's even a lunch menu. I have never been disappointed in the pasta workshop ❤️❤️❤️

I can only recommend very, very tasty food. You can also buy noodles to take away so that you can prepare them at home. It doesn't take long to make. The restaurant is also very nice

Nice atmosphere and very friendly service :) Unfortunately, the pasta dishes are pretty bland; if we hadn't ordered parmesan, we wouldn't have tasted anything. The pesto is also super watery. So unfortunately it's not for pasta lovers :/

We tried the ravioli with truffle (burrata topping) and the rigatoni with salmon in a lemon-dill sauce - and it was simply delicious! We were particularly impressed by the truffle ravioli. The combination of truffle and burrata was perfect. You can tell straight away that the noodles are homemade. The rigatoni was also very tasty, with the fresh lemon dill sauce, which brought a pleasant freshness and lightness. Highly recommended! Another highlight was the service – super friendly and attentive.

I gave the Pastawerkstadt a second chance, I have to say the price is absolutely not justified. The portion is too small, everything costs extra, the taste is ok. As for the service, I have to say like last time, too loud, too rude. They were just talking too loudly behind the counter and I couldn't enjoy my food. The waitress took the plate away from me while I was still dipping my bread into it.

Very cool authentic Italian with super fresh pasta and super friendly staff. The delicious house wine and a tiramisu at the end are my tips.

Seven of us spontaneously ate here. Service was very friendly, we didn't wait long for the food. We all had bread as a starter which was served with olive oil and olives. For the main course we all had pasta and for dessert the lava cake and tiramisu. Everything was very, very tasty and everything else that was on the counter looked delicious. At the end there was limoncello on the house for everyone. We can't say anything bad and go home satisfied and full.

We ate very tasty food. There are great pasta dishes, handmade and traditional. I particularly liked the ravioloni with pumpkin and turmeric cream and the tagliatelle Bolognese. Cozy atmosphere with friendly and open staff. Highly recommended! We'll definitely be back.

The pasta tastes extremely good. The service was quick and friendly despite the restaurant being full. I ordered a veggie carbonara, which was with me a few minutes later. It was nicely presented, but without any unnecessary frills. I also drank an Italian beer (Peroni), which I also liked. I also have nothing to complain about in terms of price. Not super cheap, but also far from expensive. To end the evening I drank the house white wine. Well what can I say, exactly... I also liked it very much. Definitely one and worth more visits 😁 Big praise to the whole team, including the boss.

I ate a Cabonara and a Profiterol dessert. Service was super friendly, the food was also super tasty. Unfortunately the cabonara didn't remind me of the one in Italy. Is the workshop's own creation. In terms of price it was also perfectly fine. Would come again, but order a different pasta.

My daughter chose the restaurant. We were in Cologne for the first time. Great ambience and very, very good food. Very friendly staff. The starter...(gambas in mango chili sauce was a hit). The price/performance ratio is also very good. When I'm back in Cologne, I'll come back.

Pasta was very good and the fresh noodles made a difference. Unfortunately, that was already the positive. They ruined it for me because of the rest. A few years ago they suddenly had self-service for the 3 (!) tables outside. And it didn't say that anywhere. Then there was a device that buzzes when the food is ready (the whole place is mini). You had to go in, you were given a tray with all the food, and the staff watched stupidly as you tried to open the door inwards while balancing the tray. Now they have an automatic telephone voice if you want to order something. You have to wait forever and then say "forward" (in 2024). It's just that you won't be redirected. I called at 6:30 p.m. The telephone voice said: "Unfortunately we cannot accept your call at the moment. You can reach an employee between 6 p.m. and 6:05 p.m." ??? It's a shame, this inconvenience doesn't make up for the good food.

We were guests yesterday and although there wasn't really much going on, we found the service to be short and only moderately friendly. It started with the drink order, when my wife ordered a glass of wine, but she wasn't even asked which one, a glass of white wine was simply put down without comment. The food was then picked up and the starters came quickly. The scampi were very tasty, the goat's cheese was cold - it was flambéed and when we asked we were told it had to be that way... I know differently but ok. My wife's pasta (Lemon Mare Amore) was very good, and the portion was also generous. I deliberately ordered a classic red bolo, which for me is simply the benchmark when it comes to pasta - it was ok, but nothing more. Maybe I'm really picky, but this dish in particular has to be right when I offer it. Yes, it takes time and the right ingredients, but if I offer it and pasta is my hobby, I expect an original RAGÙ CLASSICO BOLOGNESE as it has been prepared in Italy for generations. This Bolo Red was a pretty stripped down and bland version that tasted overly "tomatoey". Finally it should be an espresso. Two came, for whatever reason - otherwise I would have ordered espressos. With espresso: no crema, cup not preheated properly and actually comes with a small glass of water... it doesn't have to, but it's common practice in Italy. We then complained about the espresso or espressos, which were taken off the bill and then the service was ultimately unfriendly. So overall not a very nice experience - apart from the bolo, the service is definitely not what I would expect from someone who wants to represent Italian hospitality.

Recommended for a long time. Now with a new unnecessarily bloated module menu and unfortunately disappointing. Various pasta dishes are basically designed as basics. Everything possible is offered as a paid topping. You can do it. But that even the parmesan is considered an extra and has to be ordered for a fee?! So please. The service was loveless, the food is like that. Very unfortunate. I used to enjoy being here. Now I'd rather take my stars somewhere else.

If you really want to eat good pasta, then the pasta workshop is most likely your first choice. We didn't have to wait long and the food was very tasty. It is advisable to reserve.

I've already given the pasta workshop a chance three times because I've only heard good things. But it's just not worth going there. 70% of the staff are unfriendly and mostly stay at “friends” tables, so there is mostly no service at all. The pasta was good though. These are my experiences from previous visits. Today was the highlight. We came to lunch. At first we weren't told about the existing lunch offer and we had to explicitly ask about it. After we ordered we waited 45 minutes for our pasta, even though there were hardly any tables occupied. Definitely not feasible for those who only have a short lunch break. And then the pasta tasted just average and wasn't even the pasta that was pictured on the menu (e.g. we ordered the charcoal Tagliatte Bolo-Red - was normal, and not a charcoal/black tagliatelle like pictured?!). Very very unfortunate…

Because of the very different reviews here, I was excited about the pasta workshop. I really liked the atmosphere. We were warmly welcomed. With our beautifully presented aperitif, we both received a bowl of peanuts. Great thing. Then there was some bread and olive oil. Unfortunately we couldn't try the fried gnocchi because the deep fryer was broken. We then ordered two pasta dishes, which we really enjoyed. Great noodles with a delicious sauce. Simply delicious - without a lot of frills. I don't need a huge plate with unnecessary decorations. Simple, simply delicious, a good portion at a fair price. We had a lovely evening in the pasta workshop, which I can really recommend.

Absolutely average, food okay, service okay, definitely not worth the price. Ravioli were hard, which is not what you would expect from fresh pasta. It doesn't seem to live up to its own standards and the dishes seem unimaginative. We would have liked to drink more if we could have ordered drinks. The only thing that is above average is the prices.

My go-to restaurant in the Südstadt!! If I'm looking for a highlight of the day, the pasta workshop is always the right place for me. Great ambience (fresh, modern & yet somehow “workshop style”) and absolutely delicious food. So far I have enjoyed every dish on the regularly changing menu, you can feel the fresh ingredients. The pasta is freshly made and is simply delicious! I come regularly and will continue to do so! Very nice staff, with whom we have often “chatted” for a long time 😉

A great restaurant, we come often and have never had a bad meal 😍 there are many vegetarian and vegan alternatives on the menu and the waiters and waitresses are always available for a little chat. Just always beautiful 😍😍

Unfortunately we have to agree with the negative reviews. Service is less than standard. For 2 people, starter, pasta + normal wine 120€ - the pasta was ok, but by no means better than a good Italian restaurant in the city for that price. Restaurant less than half full but it is always complicated, you are asked if you have a reservation, you have to check whether there is a table available. Sorry, but for a good Italian “pasta bar” the price/performance and staff are not nearly right. What is noticeable is the lack of hygiene with the products; an employee sneezes into her hand and then sorts the pasta in front of the guests. Buon appetite!

It's too expensive for what you receive. ○ The menu is too difficult to understand ○ Do not ask for the zucchini carbonara, the spaghetti came in a dish full of sauce made of egg and something else, really strange flavour and very little "zuchinni". Super heavy to eat. ○ A bottle of Ice Tee (0.33) costs 4.5 eur, and you can even find it in a supermarket. ○ When you ask for bread, they bring some slides in a dish full of olive oil. In my opinion, they should inform first that they serve it in oil...or bring the oil separately. The service was very good.

A place where you can still get really tasty homemade noodles. At prices that are more than fair. A family business that still stands for quality. The owner himself took extra time for us and explained where the pasta and flour come from. Even with a gluten intolerance I can eat these noodles. We even got a small free dessert, we can't say what it was, but one thing is for sure, it was super tasty. Thank you. Peter and Natalie

I don't know where all the good reviews come from. Ordinary pasta that tastes even better at Losteria for an overpriced price. Staff unfriendly. Had asked for bread. Waiter comes and says bread is coming soon. After that it was said bread takes time. After that the bread needs to be cut. Then the waitress comes and says I forgot to tell you there is no bread today. After our pasta was completely cold we were able to eat it without bread :) super bad service. The store is simply hyped unnecessarily and the pasta is sold at far too high a price.

The salad for €17.90 is absolutely not worth its price! And the “service” is a disaster! I was the only guest and they didn't manage to come to me a second time to check on everything! Instead, the two “working” ladies preferred to chat and turned their backs on me! I really had to look in their direction for over 10 minutes to hope that they would notice me so that I could finally ask for the bill. I just wanted to get out of there! When I asked for salt and pepper when serving this half-hearted salad, the waitress looked at me annoyed. Never again!

Starter (burrata) and main course (white bolognese and goat cheese ravioli) were very lightly seasoned, but were okay. Unfortunately our order was forgotten and we waited over an hour for the food, while guests who arrived later received their food very quickly (of course that can happen). I would still have expected a small gesture as an apology, but unfortunately nothing was offered or waived.

Great food, great ambience - best Italian in Cologne!

A pity! We were there today and I ordered a pasta with shrimps, octopus and bottarga together with a friend. A pasta with shrimp came, but without the remaining ingredients. But what's much worse is that it was simply served to us as if half of the dish wasn't missing. Unfortunately, it's not possible for me to pretend that the guest doesn't notice. When I asked the service about the missing ingredients, it became apparent that unfortunately they no longer had the ingredients for the dish in the house. Which wouldn't have been a problem if it had been communicated beforehand. Since we wanted to eat with the rest of the group, we declined the suggestion of getting another dish. All in all, the taste was good, but not what was ordered. In the end, reluctantly and only with discussion, the price of the dish was reduced by 10%. Well, I would have done it differently as a restaurateur. Unfortunately, this means that we will definitely not visit the store again.
