Pasta e basta! in Fulda

This restaurant was one of the biggest surprises I experienced during my stay in Fulda in June 2025. I enjoyed the (high-calorie but) extremely delicious food so much that I definitely want to visit the restaurant again.

The food was truly exceptional, the service friendly and attentive, and the seating on the terrace is very comfortable. If we're ever in Fulda again, we'll definitely come back here!

😍🇮🇹 The two of us spontaneously went to this wonderful restaurant. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome. We had candy pasta, veal cheeks with truffle, and tiramisu for dessert. The pasta is prepared fresh daily. We were spoiled with our choice of dishes. This restaurant is highly recommended 🇮🇹😍 We are tourists from Lüneburg.

Super friendly, and the owner is right in the center of things. Fantastic value for money, and the pasta is cooked al dente, as it should be. The taste is dreamy. A must-have in Fulda.

A very good Italian restaurant with an unusual menu and great prices. Due to the small kitchen and the high volume of guests, the wait times for individual courses were quite long. However, the staff were friendly and attentive.

A very nice little restaurant with a small terrace in the back. It's not exactly cheap, but they serve excellent homemade pasta. Even the spaghetti for the kids was homemade. A feast for the palate for all ages. Thank you! Mmmmm…

Das Pasta e Basta hat auf allen Ebenen überzeugt! Der kleine Hinterhof bietet einige schöne Plätze im Freien, perfekt für einen entspannten Sommerabend. Es kann zwischen verschiedenen Nudelsorten gewählt werden und diese werden frisch vor Ort zubereitet, was man auch deutlich schmeckt. Besonders begeistert haben uns die leckeren Soßen, denen es an nichts gefehlt hat! Als Abschluss gab es für uns noch einen Nachtisch. Selten haben wir so einen guten und cremigen Tiramisu gegessen. Die Preise sind für diese Qualität mehr als fair, sodass man ein tolles Preis-Leistung-Verhältnis bekommt! Insgesamt ein tolles Restaurant für alle, die hausgemachte Pasta wie in Italien lieben. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Absolutely recommended! We were there in a group of 8 people, including one colleague who only spoke English. Great food, great service (thanks for the explanation of the grappa in English 😉), and the "Family Grappa" is amazing. Thanks for letting us be at Gadt. We felt very comfortable. -1 for ambience... The restaurant is small, was full, and therefore quite noisy.

Two of us got a seat on a Friday evening. The service was very friendly, quick, and attentive. We had two pasta dishes and loved them. Homemade pasta and great sauces. Highly recommended. It was a bit warm under the umbrellas in the courtyard.

Very tasty food, friendly service. The only drawbacks are the 50-minute wait for the food and the high temperatures in the restaurant. But all in all, highly recommended!

There were six of us, and we were given a free table without any grumbling. By the time the waiter arrived, we'd all already chosen our food and drinks, which was a plus. After that, we waited at least 45 minutes for our food. Without any communication. When the food was brought to us by, among others, the owner (?), she apologized for making us wait so long, saying the pasta is freshly made, AND that's just how it is when so many people come without reservations. Excuse me? And if we make a reservation, do you know what we want to eat? Then they just don't offer us a table when it's too busy and it probably warrants a comment like that. The food, though, was really good and plentiful. I had the carbonara. My companions also got Parmesan cheese upon request.

We ate here last night with 12 people. The servers were very friendly and the food was amazing. I highly recommend it.

I first visited this restaurant with some work colleagues – and I've been a real fan ever since! Since then, I've recommended it to absolutely everyone. Even though I don't live in Fulda, we're happy to drive an hour just to eat here. The service is exceptionally friendly, and you feel welcome from the very first moment. I find it particularly impressive that the chef personally takes the time to make the best recommendations – and so far, every one has been spot-on! An all-around fantastic experience – every time. Highly recommended!

A very good address in Fulda: cozy interior, small sheltered terrace – and Italian food at its finest! Homemade pasta, it's worth checking out the daily menu. We were a group of 14 people, and everyone (!!!) was satisfied, if not happy. Thanks to the manager and the friendly service team!

A must-visit when you come to Fulda. The best Italian restaurant in town! That's it! The food here is excellent, especially the gluten-free gnocchi in tomato sauce with the finest basil oil and burratina 😋, etc. - a delight! The service tops it all off with friendliness, passion, and helpfulness. A reservation in advance is definitely helpful and necessary. Unfortunately, we didn't have one. Unfasssbar leckeres Essen, bei welchen man die Qualität der Zutaten schmeckt. Alle Nudeln, sowie das Brot werden selber gemacht. Auch der Service überzeugte uns durch seine freundliche Bedienung. Das Pasta e basta ist ein kleines gemütliches Restaurant, mit offener Küche und einem wunderschönen Biergarten, welcher zum längerem Aufenthalt an warmen Sommerabenden aufhält. Eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen, da das Restaurant immer gut besucht ist. Wenn man auf original italienische Küche steht, sollte man dieses Restaurant unbedingt auf die Bucket-Liste schreiben. Große Empfehlung!

The food was truly excellent. I assume all the pasta variations are homemade. This probably won't be our last visit to this small and very nice restaurant.

A dream. Whether in the restaurant or on the terrace, it's simply beautiful. The food is handmade and incredibly delicious. The starters, main courses, and desserts are highly recommended. For those who are hungry, the portions are perfectly adequate.

Friendly staff and good service

A few days ago I was in the restaurant with my colleagues. Pasta e basta not only impresses with its excellent and beautifully prepared food, but also with its cozy atmosphere, which invites you to linger for a longer period of time, as well as the friendly and courteous service. I was really very impressed and can only recommend it to every fan of Italian cuisine. Big praise.

Service is catastrophic we waited 45 minutes for our food. Food was cold and extremely rude from the staff.

Pasta e Basta is a small, charming restaurant with a lot of heart. Particularly nice: the cozy terrace, perfect for warm evenings - but be careful: make sure you reserve in advance, the seats are in great demand! The staff is incredibly warm and attentive, you immediately feel welcome and in good hands. And most importantly: the pasta is to die for – fresh, homemade and simply the best in town! Every sauce is a hit, you can taste the attention to detail. A real feel-good restaurant where you are guaranteed to eat more than just once. Absolute recommendation!

The pasta is homemade, as is the sauce. Accordingly, this restaurant can't be compared to many other Italian restaurants. The quality is simply outstanding. The food is very good, and the service is also very friendly. Three of us came, even though we had only reserved for two people, and it wasn't a problem, even though the restaurant was very busy. The ambiance is also very nice.

Absolutely brilliant restaurant. Small rooms totally idyllic. In the summer on the outdoor terrace I find a bit too much city flair, but the food makes this little detail go away for miles.

The food was fantastic, everything was freshly prepared and the taste was a dream. Price performance completely justified. The service was sometimes not really attentive. Ordered an appetizer for two. The appetizer came, my companion didn't have a plate, and cutlery came later. There were also a few problems with payment because it was assumed that we wanted to pay with EC and then everything had to be canceled. So it took a while before we could pay and leave. But the service was generally friendly. The ambience: a bit too loud for me personally, as you sit quite close to the table next to you and have to expect curious listeners because the restaurant itself is not particularly big, maybe it was because our table was in the middle of it. All in all, a really top restaurant where you get the best pasta in Fulda. Definitely coming back.

The portions are way too small, you won't get full at all. The staff came to take our order and said goodbye to us, nothing more. The menu had an array of extravagant dishes and no trace of something simple like fries or schnitzel. Funny. In the next room there is a full family table with pizza, fries and whatever else is available. Excellent food, got the ravioli with spinach and pecorino in a delicious tomato sauce. We highly recommend a pinsa garlic bred. Wow!

Got a table without a reservation, very fast service, visually appealing dishes, reasonably priced, very tasty starters and pasta! Gladly again! The only point of criticism: the sauces for the pasta dishes were too salty, and parmesan was only available upon request.

A great restaurant, the food was very tasty, delicately seasoned and attractively presented. The service was quick and friendly. The prices are more than reasonable. Particularly positive: the temperature of the drinks was adjusted upon request. The only drawback: it was relatively narrow. Since we were sitting very close to the neighboring table, we found it very loud. We would like to come back at any time. 👍

We were here yesterday and arrived very hungry. We left full and satisfied. The ambience is reminiscent of an Italian wine cellar where Nonna or Mamma cooks for you. The four of us stopped at the restaurant on a recommendation. The food was freshly cooked and tasted sooooo good. The owner and the waiters were super friendly. The atmosphere is very cozy. It's a shame we're not from Fulda - otherwise we would be there more often. The best Italian in town!

The Pinsa is awesome...always a pleasure when we are in Fulda

We visited the restaurant as part of our business trip. A little cozy and tight at dinner time. The taste of the food was very good, only the portion of (homemade!) pasta was a bit too small for €16. It was enough for dinner, but it's in the eye of the beholder :)

Very, very friendly and good staff, in a small “Italian restaurant”, almost like in Italy. The food was excellent and very, very tasty. A “must have”! when you are in Fulda. We had the Pinza Tartufo and pasta, both a dining experience. My absolute recommendation. The price-performance ratio is more than very good here. (if that were possible :-) )

Sehr, sehr freundliches und gutes Personal, in einem kleinen „Italiener“, fast wie in Italien. Das Essen, war hervorragend, und sehr, sehr lecker. Ein „Must have“ ! wenn man in Fulda ist. Very nice, authentic Italian with amazing pasta

Klein aber richtig schön und sehr sehr lecker. Nudelauswahl, Soßenauswahl, Getränke etc. ist sehr schön gemacht, auch das Lokal an sich gefällt mir immer wieder sehr gut.

For me one of the best restaurants in all of Fulda. We were visiting and today spontaneously celebrated a birthday with 12 people in this beautiful restaurant. From the food to the service, everything was absolutely top notch! We'll definitely be back. Thank you for everything 🙏

At "Pasta e Basta" I was immediately welcomed by friendly waiters who impressed with their Italian warmth and professionalism. The boss was charming and approachable. She greeted us personally and created a family atmosphere. You can feel her passion for the kitchen in every detail. The kitchen team delivered excellent dishes that were perfectly prepared and presented - fresh, authentic and full of flavour. Overall, a wonderful experience that makes you feel like part of the family.

Our first visit, we had great expectations, after all the menu promises great dishes. And these expectations were even exceeded. We shared a pinsa beforehand, it was so airy and crispy, generously topped and perfectly seasoned, really great. For the main course we had dishes from the daily menu. Smaller special requests were implemented without any problems. We'd love to come back!

Been there for the first time....don't like gnocchi... but my request for tagliatelle with chanterelles in a parmesan nest was implemented straight away....very nice atmosphere.. very nice and cool service ;-)

ich möchte gerne meine Erfahrung im Ristorante Pasta e Basta teilen. Die Atmosphäre war ansprechend, jedoch ließ die Aufmerksamkeit des Personals zu wünschen übrig. Leider wurde ich nicht nach meinen Wünschen gefragt, und es gab viele Diskussionen zwischen den Mitarbeitern, die das Gesamterlebnis beeinträchtigten. Aus diesem Grund vergebe ich nur einen Stern.

Wir gehen öfter in die Pasta zur Mimma und ihrem äußert netten und kompetentem Team und möchten nun auch endlich mal eine Bewertung schreiben. Vorab- bitte einen Tisch reservieren , zumindest am WE abends. Es ist immer voll und das alleine spricht schon für sich. Egal ob Pasta, Salat oder Pinsa - wir haben bis dato immer gut gegessen. Die Pasta sind selbstgemacht und das allein schmeckt man schon. Die Küche ist auch offen, das gefällt uns sehr gut. Dazu einen schönen kalten Weißwein - was will man mehr. Egal ob draußen oder drinnen, wir mögen das Ambiente generell. Als Nachtisch unbedingt ein selbstgemachtes Tiramisu essen 😋😋 Wir empfehlen das Pasta é Basta auf jeden Fall weiter 🍀

Es ist von außen sehr unauffällig aber dieses Lokal ist ein echtes Super Lokal. In dieser Küche wird die Pasta Komplett selbst gemacht! Ich hatte das wochen Spezial Ravioli mit fleischfüllung, Buttersoße und Prosciutto. Es war Gedicht fein abgeschmeckt, optisch auch ein Gedicht. Die Küchenchefin kommt an die Tische und fragt ob alles zur Zufriedenheit ist. Ich würde sogar 10 Punkte geben wenn es gehen würde. Hier lebt wirklich Bella italia in diesem Lokal.

Certainly the best tiramisu in Fulda, perhaps in Germany, possibly in the world. Iga Świątek you have to come here! Delicious Italian food, with Italian music, you can feel the atmosphere! In addition, large portions, friendly service, you can sit here for hours.

I'm reviewing a visit that happened a few years ago. I was there with a large group. So far everything worked. Unfortunately, the waiter at the time (I think the owner's son) was super aggressive and unfriendly. I ordered a lasagna and he asked in front of the whole group if I would like to order a salad because I looked like I had already eaten enough lasagna. I found this very offensive and inappropriate. I took the group to the restaurant on my recommendation, only to be insulted by the waiter. Since then, I have advised everyone not to visit here. Anyone who talks to paying customers like that, shows contempt for women and has no manners, will no longer be supported by us.

Not optional for a larger group as you can only eat 1 type of pasta! Portions are almost too small that you'll still be hungry afterwards! You have to ask for parmesan yourself! Service is very stressed and therefore forgets a lot
