Paradisos in Annaberg-Buchholz

Tastes very good, better than many other restaurants nearby. A cozy restaurant with friendly staff. We'd be happy to come back.

We went out for dinner on September 20, 2025, and I can only say the food was absolutely delicious. The meat was wonderfully tender, and the salad was delicious. The food was beautifully presented. The service was very friendly. We sat on the terrace by the street—there's little traffic on the weekend.

When we arrived, the two of us, the restaurant, which to me seemed rather dark and sterile in the front area, was only occupied by two people. Nevertheless, we had to wait almost an hour for the food. We were anything but thrilled when we took our first bites. The loin in Metaxa sauce was a flat piece of meat that was barely edible. The Stefanos plate (No. 55) wasn't particularly tasty either, especially the souvlaki, which was disappointing because it consisted of fatty meat instead of the classic lean meat, and you couldn't even taste a hint of lemon or oregano. The portion sizes were also rather disappointing for our taste. Of course, the meat shouldn't be piled high on the plate, but at the prices charged, there could have been a bit more. It wasn't overcooked like elsewhere, but somehow we missed the typical local flavor. Overall, we found the food rather boring, and the ambiance doesn't make us want to return. On a positive note, the restrooms and dining area seemed very clean. We also appreciated that we were politely and kindly informed before ordering that this restaurant only accepts cash payments.

We had lunch at Paradisos again today. The food was, as always, delicious and lovingly prepared. We'd love to come back.

Unfortunately, almost everything about my Olympic plate wasn't quite as good. The gyro was very fatty, and the skewer didn't seem to be cooked properly. The rest was okay. My wife liked the bifteki, so it gets three stars. I don't know if I'll try it again after this experience.

I love Greek cuisine, but what you're offered here has nothing to do with Greeks. If you're looking for a colon cleanse, this is the place for you. Taste-wise, and price-wise, it's below average. Not recommended!!!

Sunday evening, for a short visit to Annaberg-Buchholz, then dinner. A quick Google search and found Paradiso. Well, it's a bit chilly in the dining room, which makes it a bit uncomfortable and doesn't invite you to linger longer. This is certainly due to the restaurant's capacity at that time; another table was occupied. On the other hand, you have a free choice of seats. The menu offers a wide selection of dishes, sure to suit everyone's taste. We chose the Zeus plate (€16.30) and the Hermes plate (€16.50) to try several different types of meat. Can't complain for the price, although I should have ordered the Metaxa sauce, which is available separately. So, the dishes arrived, and what I notice at many restaurants is that the food is lukewarm and the plates cold. A simple tip: if you're having multiple types of meat that aren't being cooked/fried/grilled at the same time, simply preheat the plates; cold food tastes less good. Nevertheless, it tasted good considering the circumstances, and the tomato rice was also okay. Conclusion: Highly recommended; the price/performance ratio is good, even if you have to go to the counter to pay...

We ordered food to pick up. It was ready quickly at pickup time. However, the price-performance ratio was maximally satisfactory.

The service was a disaster. We sat in quarters at another table where there were also 4 people and waited for the waiter to come and ask if we would like something to drink, but unfortunately she didn't come. After 20 minutes we walked towards the counter to let us know that we would like to pay. It was Sunday evening at 6:30 p.m. and it wasn't a busy time where you would have understood that the waitress wouldn't have a second person to serve everyone quickly, there were only 8 people in the restaurant 🫤

Rarely or never eaten so badly, the gyros tasted old and the salad looked old. Spezi looked like fermented apple spritzer and arrived without carbon dioxide.

Actually not recommended. I often go out for Greek food, but I've never had such bad food. The Spezi was mixed more with orange and carbon dioxide was also absent. The gyro plate was cold, the meat tasted old and the salad was partly brown and dry. The only thing that was halfway good was the zazziki, although it was probably out of the bucket and not homemade. Never again

Paradisos Restaurant is absolutely recommended! The food was really tasty and the prices were completely reasonable. I would particularly like to highlight the super friendly waitress who served us excellently. We had pre-booked, which went smoothly. Overall, a great experience – we’ll definitely be back!

The restaurant is cozy, the atmosphere is pleasant and the staff is attentive and friendly. The dishes are attractively prepared and delicious. The waiting time is acceptable, the quality of the food corresponds to that of an average Greek. The price is a bit high, but acceptable given the performance.

Ordered food today, unfortunately I couldn't eat my salad because it had walnuts instead of the specified pine nuts. The salad is definitely not enough for the money and only contains iceberg lettuce and 2 strips of rocket. Tofu tasted like nothing and was extremely dry and the pears didn't really have a grill, which was a shame. Then we had gyros with Metaxa sauce, unfortunately the meat was also very dry. The rice noodles were far too few but tasty, which was a shame.

The Paradisos restaurant in Buchholz-Annaberg is a true pearl among Greek restaurants. As soon as you enter the restaurant you feel like you are on holiday - the atmosphere is warm, cozy and authentic. The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, you can literally feel how much love is put into every detail here. The food is simply fantastic! The food is fresh, rich and wonderfully prepared. Every single meal, from the starters to the main courses, is a delight for the senses. Particularly noteworthy are the traditional Greek dishes, which are prepared with a lot of dedication and skill. The quality of the ingredients and the preparation leave nothing to be desired. The price-performance ratio is also great. The portions are generous and the prices are absolutely fair for the high quality on offer. I can only warmly recommend Paradisos. Whether for a romantic dinner, a cozy meeting with friends or a family meal – you are in the best hands here. Five stars are almost not enough for this culinary experience. Many thanks to the entire team for an unforgettable evening!

Food was ok, there was no toilet paper, soap or paper towels in the toilets. The service made an effort, but the waiting time was very long. You are in a good position if you have knowledge of Russian or Ukrainian. Then it happens quickly and you are understood. The Greeks' hospitality is evident in the ouzo, but even the small one at 0.02 liters saves money. I would recommend a company outing or training session at the Athens restaurant in Chemnitz on Schulstrasse. This is how Greek hospitality works. So there is a lot of room for improvement. It's a shame.

Today I was in a Greek restaurant, everything was cool. The food was perfectly delicious! The staff is very responsive, the portions of the food are huge and available to everyone!

The food was good, the price was a little higher - Saganaki is €8.90 and Bifteki for the size is €16.50. If you take a mixed plate for €16.80, you have a much larger amount on your plate. The Saganaki comes alone, so it would be good if e.g. a bit of coleslaw, tzatziki or just some yogurt would be there. It was delicious and I would go again.

We ordered food today and unfortunately it wasn't convincing. As in the photo, we had baked chicken with metax sauce and fries. It was far too small, there was no Metax sauce and the fries were cold and limp. ( See photo) My grill plate was dry and the garlic potatoes I ordered were normal fried potatoes.

We weren't so impressed this time. The waiter was new and a bit stressed. The pepperoni with garlic was without garlic (a shame). The last time these were perfect... The main course went like this, the spice was missing. Was better last time. We'll be back, but we'll let a little time pass. Hopefully next time it will be like it used to be...

We really enjoyed the trout. Praise to the kitchen. The new menu contains a large selection of vegan dishes. Finally someone in the area thought about vegetarians and vegans. Definitely recommended. Few Greek restaurants taste as good as it does here!

For €19 there were 4 croquettes, a small portion of bifteki and a bit of salad. Hardly any sauce. It was tasty, but for the price it was an insufficient quantity. A pity.

Unfortunately we are spoiled by the Greek restaurant in Chemnitz so it is difficult for you. But you could have lit a candle. The napkins were taken away again during the meal. Ouzo was brought to the end. Food very manageable

Das Essen war durchaus gut und schön angerichtet..... Aber..... Eins davon war die falsche Nummer was eigentlich nicht schlimm wäre wenn die Bedienung dann nicht noch ruppig geworden wäre 🙄🙄 das zweite Bier nach zwei Stunden und Aufforderung geht gar nicht!!!! Mehr gabs dann auch nicht..... Den Abschluss Ouzo durften auch nicht alle genießen weil einfach zu wenig da waren.... Das man dann als Gesellschaft zehn Minuten vor Zehn aufgefordert wird zu gehen... Naja..... Also in Drebach ist man da wirklich besser aufgehoben 😁😁😁

We arrived very late in annaberg after a huge traffic jam and was told this was one of a few restaurants still open past 7pm. As we came in we coincidentally met our friends there who were also late getting in to Annaberg. The waitress helped us move to a table for six and couldn’t do enough to help us. With our limited German she guided us through the menu in English. The food was lovely and after a day of travel it was great to have an icy beer. Would highly recommend

Sehr gutes Essen, nette Bedienung, schönes Ambiente. Auch der Außenbereich, welcher als Raucherzone genutzt wird, ist sehr angenehm. Ebenfalls hat mir die Terasse außerhalb des Restaurants sehr gut gefallen. Man kan hier die Alltagssorgen mal vergessen, zudem können hier sämtliche feiern Ausgetragen werden, von Geburtstag über Klassentreffen bis hin zur Weihnachtsfeier der Firma ist hier alles möglich. Zudem muss ich sagen, das die Preise der Qualität entsprechend in Ordnung sind. War hier schon öfters essen und es hat mir immer gefallen.

Das Essen war sehr gut. Der Kaffee danach, ein doppelter Espresso aus dem Vollautomaten, wurde dann mit 4,50€ berechnet. Da muss man wohl aufpassen, möchte man nicht das Gefühl haben, abgezockt worden zu sein.

Einer der wenigen wirklich „köstlichen“ Orte in Annaberg-Buchholz. Das Essen ist gut! Besonders gut gefallen mir die Fleischgerichte – es ist einfach ein Wunder. Wunderbare, gemütliche Atmosphäre und freundliches Personal.

Ich hab noch nie so schlecht griechisch gegessen wie in diesem griechischen Restaurant, jeder Lieferservice ist besser

Kleines, aber sehr gutes Restaurant. Das Essen schmeckt immer wieder fantastisch. Das Personal ist schnell, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Man bekommt auch immer mal wieder einen Gratisouzo, der auch wirklich lecker war. #Lieblingsgrieche

Das Essen bekommt leider nur drei Sterne. Mein Gyros mit den Beilagen war super. Leider waren die Kalamaris zäh wie Lkw Reifen und wegen denen habe ich das Gericht bestellt. Das Essen kam schnell an den Tisch, die Bedienung war freundlich. Es dürfte auch mehr Fisch - und Meeresfrüchteauswahl sein.

Ganz ehrlich: Das Essen ist überteuert und schmeckt wie Oma unterm Arm. Wenn man öfter griechisch isst merkt man das sofort. Ich würde das als Fraß bezeichnen. Aber vielleicht hatte der Koch nur einen schlechten Tag oder war krank. Man weiß es nicht….

Eigentlich schade sind hier immer sehr gerne hin gegangen (bis zum heutigen Tage). Wir kommen sonst zwei bis drei Mal im Monat immer mit Hund. Als wir heute das Restaurant abermals besuchen wollten (mit kompletter Familie), bat uns eine sehr unfreundliche korpulente Frau auf der Terrasse Platz zu nehmen. Im Normalfall hätten wir da sowieso gesessen aber nicht bei 15 Grad und Regen. Die zehn Besuche vorher war das kein Problem komischerweise. Nur da war ein sehr patenter Kellner da mag daran liegen. Wie dem auch sei ich war zum letzten Mal da!

Waren gestern Abend zu zweit dort, das Restaurant war nicht zu überfüllt und trotzdem war die Kellnerin scheinbar komplett überfordert mit ihrem Job…mir wurde leider 2x das falsche Essen gebracht , wobei ich die Nummer des Gerichts in der Karte gezeigt/ gesagt habe und beim zweiten Mal nochmal genau wiederholt habe , dass ich das Seelachsfilet möchte. Mir wurde beim ersten Mal ein völlig anderes Gericht mit Fleisch gebracht und beim zweiten Mal zwar das einzige andere Gericht mit Lachs aber eben auch nicht das was ich wollte. Habe Zweiteres dann aus Frustration darüber , dass ich schon eine Stunde insgesamt gewartet habe gegessen. Geschmack war okay, aber nicht überragend. Anschließend mussten wir weitere 30 Minuten warten bis die Kellnerin überhaupt nochmal nachgefragt hat ,ob alles okay ist oder wir noch etwas brauchen. Fehler passieren, aber wir mussten im Endeffekt für das falsche Essen trotzdem den Vollpreis bezahlen (Entschädigung gab es keine). Küche war in Ordnung und für den Preis an sich vollkommen okay , aber beim Service haben wir uns leider total vergessen und verloren gefühlt , hat mir leider sehr den Abend vermiest.

Der einzige Mangel ist die über eine lange Treppe zu erreichende Toilette. Für Gehbehinderte und Rollstuhlfahrer unerreichbar. Sehr gut ist es, dass man die Beilagen wählen kann. Das ist gut für Besucher, die zum Beispiel keinen Reis essen.

Wir waren die ersten Gäste am Samstag Nachmittag, das Restaurant füllte sich danach mit neuen Gästen und die bei uns am Nachbartisch platzierten Gäste wurden sofort nach ihrer Bestellung gefragt, wir warteten weiter geduldig, selbst auf Nachfrage am Tresen wurden wir nicht bedient, wir verließen das Lokal nach 20 Minuten ohne eine Bestellung abgeben zu können. Sehr fragwürdiger Service, nicht zu empfehlen.
