Gaststätte Akropolis in Annaberg-Buchholz

We've been there twice now on vacation without a reservation. Both times, we were able to get a table for six people, even though it was already quite full. All the waiters and the manager are very, very nice and friendly. They make every effort to ensure their customers have a pleasant experience. There's a children's surprise for the little ones – very accommodating. We all enjoyed the food very much, and there was nothing to complain about. Greek flavor, spicy, and very well prepared. We would come back again and again. Keep up the good work.

Great host, absolutely delicious food.

Eight of us (including four children aged 1.5 to 9) spontaneously came on a Saturday evening and were lucky that a group we had reserved didn't show up. The service was very friendly, extremely child-friendly, and accommodating, despite the busy Saturday night. The food was delicious, and the portions were wonderfully large. I recommend it without hesitation!

We're here on vacation and were looking for a Greek restaurant. The place is almost empty, the manager personally asks how many people we're having and whether we have a reservation.!! "No, we don't, sorry." The reply was, "Come another time." ...so unfriendly and rude, to boot.

Customer friendliness is zero. We were here 5 years ago and found the food "okay." We thought it would be a good idea to give the place a second chance. We entered the shop and asked for a table for 4 people. The manager personally told us there was no room and that we "should come back Wednesday." 1) We would have been happy with a table outside or inside and had no requirements. 2) There were more free tables outside than occupied, and of course, the inside was empty. We don't understand how a manager can turn away guests with a volume of €80-120 when the tables are empty. Especially since we spontaneously asked at 7:30 p.m. on a Monday. Yes, spontaneous, but 4 guests on a Monday evening with 5 occupied tables can't be justified by a lack of quality, time pressure, staff shortages, or anything else. And if it's already starting, I don't even want to know what else awaits us. And then they were so cheeky and said, "Try again on Wednesday." We were there on a Monday; Tuesday was closed. Unbelievable. Absolutely not recommended. I'd rather go to the friendly staff, who might even have worse food.

Highly recommended. A wonderful selection of dishes, both vegetarian and meat-based, from the skewer and the grill. Simply wonderful. A particularly delicious selection of cakes and desserts (cold or hot). And not to forget a delicious selection of beer, homemade red ouzo, and soft drinks. I'm also impressed by the value for money (we had a starter, main course, and dessert, plus drinks, for two people. Simply fantastic).

The food was very, very delicious. I definitely recommend the red ouzo for the ladies. 😉 The price/performance ratio is simply excellent!! The staff is very friendly and even takes the time for a little chat. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!! We'd love to come back!

Very good Greek restaurant. The food is always delicious and the prices are very reasonable. The servers are very attentive and super friendly. Drinks usually arrive promptly. Beautiful interior with Greek accents, and the outdoor terrace offers a wonderful view of Annaberg's old town. We love coming here.

The food is very good. Everything is fresh and crispy. The value for money is absolutely reasonable. The service is very attentive. When the weather is nice, you can sit outside and enjoy a beautiful view of two churches and the market square.

The restaurant, located at the heart of Annaberg-Buchholz is a fantastic place to eat out. The food was delicious and the portions were generous. They even recently added fully vegan dishes, not just salads, to their menu, which is very rare in this region. The service was very friendly and polite. Whether you're a vegan or not, I can only recommend this place if you're up for some good greek cuisine.

Very delicious, authentic food. The menu features several vegetarian and vegan dishes, such as the veggie bifteki, which are lovingly and well-made! Highly recommended for all vegetarian fans of Greek cuisine who want more than just baked broccoli or appetizers. My only minor criticism: the garlic potatoes could use a bit more garlic.

Very attentive service, and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The turkey was very tender and juicy, as was the calamari. We definitely recommend it!

Baked Gyros #202 is a must-try; absolutely recommended if you like it. A definite recommendation for me. Great service, reasonable prices, and simply delicious.

We went to the Acropolis for the first time yesterday at lunchtime and all three of us were absolutely thrilled. Everything was perfect, the friendliness, the attentive service and of course the very good food. We have been to many Greek restaurants so we could compare can allow. It wasn't the usual Greek food that you get everywhere. The starters were different than usual and the main course wasn't that big either, so you're full again when the plate arrives. The salad that came with the dish was also very nicely prepared. Thank you again for the good food, but unfortunately we live in Vogtland and are too far away to come back often. Yesterday I went to the restaurant to celebrate with 8 friends. The service was top! The food tasted excellent! Our mood rose commensurate with Uso consumption. We were the last ones and would like to thank the “Acropolis” team for this wonderful evening!

After the enormous climb from Frohnauer Hammer to Annaberg (on foot), we rewarded ourselves with a starter, main course and dessert. The staff is courteous and friendly. The food was excellent and really plentiful. We'd love to come back. We felt welcome.

The restaurant is highly recommended. The food was excellent and the portions were reasonable for the price. Even though the house felt good, food and drinks were quickly ready to be consumed. The employees are nice and friendly, so the service was great. Since the restaurant is busy, advance reservation is advisable. All in all, we can recommend the Acropolis with a clear conscience.

We spent a really nice evening in the Acropolis. The table was pre-booked (recommended). As a guest you feel very well looked after in this well-attended restaurant. The staff was attentive, friendly, accommodating - just as you would expect. The food was plentiful and a feast for the palate. The tables are separated by small partitions. This is how you feel among yourself with your own guests/friends. Nobody looks at your food from the next table. On a scale of 1 to 10... 10 points

A very cozy atmosphere furnished with attention to detail. The price-performance ratio is a 10 out of 10! The service is super friendly, the boss comes to the table himself and asks if everything is OK. The kitchen is also a 10 out of 10! By far the best & most recommended restaurant in Annaberg.

We had the No. 350 squid and 304 lamb, both are highly recommended, although I have to say the lamb was perfectly grilled, perfectly seasoned, I can only recommend it to everyone, the price sounds like €36, although you really get a lot for it what was offered, price performance was simply perfect. Always my pleasure.

We have been visiting the Akropolis restaurant for many years and are absolutely satisfied. Super tasty and fast service. Reservations in advance are really recommended.

We were in the mood for Greek... the plate of lamb we ordered did not meet our expectations (the price quoted). After complaining, we received a piece of lamb, which again was of poor quality! Despite being informed, the boss was at a loss and had no further reaction. Unfortunately we have to give a poor rating for this price. We hope it was a slip-up. A tip to the boss: the choice of words with the staff needs to be improved.

The long journey to Annaberg to the Acropolis is always worth it for us. For me the best gyros far and wide! The other dishes are of course also highly recommended. Great quality, great service!

Today we looked at Annaberg Buchholz and had dinner at the Acropolis. We were very excited. The young man who served us was very friendly and attentive. For our 2 year old son there was a children's card that also served as a coloring picture. Children are welcome at Acropolis and that made dinner very enjoyable for us. If we're in the area again, we'll be happy to come back.

Das Essen ist geschmacklich gut und die Bedienung aufmerksam und freundlich (und das, obwohl er bei gut besuchtem Lokal alleine war). Wir kommen wieder, wenn wir mal wieder in der Gegend sind!

The restaurant is very centrally located and the underground car park, which is somewhat difficult to find, is only 50 meters away.

Restaurant is a matter of taste. I find it more like a pub so only 3 stars for ambience. Service was very good, totally friendly. The food didn't convince me and the absolute minus point for me is that there isn't even an ouzo - I've never seen anything like that at a Greek restaurant. Unfortunately there is no recommendation for me because the price/performance ratio is not sufficient for me. But kudos to the waiter.

Ich war am 8.12.2023 da mit meiner Familie wir haben einen Hamburger und 2 Rhodos teller bestellt wir kommen aus Hannover und haben hier Urlaub gemacht der Salat hätte bisschen größer sein können aber ich glaube das wäre meckern auf hohem Niveau weil das Essen sehr lecker und auch frisch war wenn wir nochmal Urlaub im Erzgebirge machen dann kommen wir nochmals in diese Gaststätte weil es sehr schon war ich kann es nur weiter empfehlen.

Typische Griechische Gaststätte in Deutschland, aber irgendwie anders. Der Chef war freundlich und immer da für einen "Small Talk"...

Wir waren heute Abend bei Ihnen essen. Es war sehr sehr lecker und die Portion reichlich. Der Service war einwandfrei und die Kellner sehr freundlich. Ich kann dieses griechische Restaurant wärmstens weiterempfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder zum Essen.

Waren ohne Reservierung dort spontan essen und hatten noch einen Tisch bekommen. Die Bedienung war wirklich grandios, hier wird Service wirklich ganz groß geschrieben. Das Essen war auch mehr als reichlich und sehr gut. Und natürlich gibt's auch immer einen Ouzo dazu, wie es sich gehört. 😁

Ambiente bissl wie Bahnhof und bitte um einheitliche Kleidung der Kellner . Dachte der Hausmeister bedient uns. Er war etwas gestresst.... Essen war aber ganz ok.

waren auf der Suche nach einem Restaurant für eine Feier im Akropolis zum Testessen. Ambiente war ok, es war teilweise sehr laut. Wir hatten 4 verschiedene Gerichte. Teils wenig Geschmack/Würze (Hackfleischrollen), sehr festes Fleisch (Schweinemedaillon) und zuviel Pommes haben wir erlebt. Im Vergleich zum anderen Griechen im Ort gibt's eher eine 2- bis 3. Dies ist aber nur unsere private Meinung, jeder hat einen anderen Geschmack. preislich ok, es wird ja alles teurer, für unseren geplanten Termin aber keine Option.

Wenn man ein super leckeres griechisches essen will genau der richtige Spot! Der Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Die Auswahl der Gerichte hat für jeden etwas zu bieten. Ich hatte den Gyros ala Chef und war mehr als zufrieden. Von mir gibt es daher 5 Sterne!
