An unforgettable birthday at Café PapalaCup! I celebrated my friend's birthday at Café PapalaCup and it was simply amazing! The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, we felt welcome from the start. The atmosphere in the café is very cozy and relaxed - the perfect place to spend a good time with friends. We were particularly impressed by the loving decoration and the selection of delicious food and drinks. We would definitely like to come back and can only warmly recommend the PapalaCup! Thank you for this great day!

My favourite brunch place 😍 I love their Avocado breakfast with grilled veggies and would recommend it!! The service is always super friendly and tries to find solutions to different problems! It’s a 10/10!

Extremely arrogant employees who have no idea about service. You have to register to get a table, even in an empty restaurant, but this is explained to you in a rude manner. This has already happened to me three times and at some time apart (I've since forgotten the house rule) - so it can't be a coincidence. And I say that as a person who always treats people in a friendly manner and always shows understanding. Sorry, but just having a nice location and serving modern dishes is simply not enough in the restaurant industry.

Wonderful day spent there. Friends rented the PapalaCup for their wedding and we had a really great celebration. The team put a lot of effort into providing the guests with everything they could wish for. Absolutely recommended for a medium-sized event.

Actually we just wanted to have a quick breakfast and leave again... That turned out to be 2.5 hours because it was so comfortable. Thank you to the team for the special hospitality. Very nice little restaurant and coffee. Cozy facility. Practically located in the neighborhood. Very tasty and lovingly prepared dishes. Quite crowded on weekends and afternoons. Better reserve.

The café/restaurant is super cozy and creatively decorated. The food is very tasty and the portions are reasonably large for the high price. But: Gentlemen, the two waiters were friendly, but they forgot our orders twice and it took a bit of effort to get their attention to ask about our order or to pay at the end. There was little going on that morning and the waiters seemed more concerned with themselves and their own food than with serving the guests. This is much better. Since for me the service makes up 50% of a restaurant visit and also the price, there is a big point deduction here.

I always eat the cheesecake here because it is simply delicious, creamy and homemade!

It's worth coming here just for the incredibly delicious cheesecake 💛 The cappuccino is always perfect too. There is no better café in the area!

Very nice place to relax with a good range of quality food

Discovered by chance and fell in love. We were immediately greeted in a friendly manner and given a nice window seat. Every member of staff was friendly and accommodating. Small café with a thousand little things to marvel at, really a nice location. Had a cheese breakfast and an Americano TOPTOPTOP!!!! Keep it up guys!

We have been there several times and each time we have been more than satisfied from start to finish. An incredibly nice, down-to-earth and friendly service with good wit and a feeling for the guest. The food is very fresh and super tasty. Whether scrambled eggs, pancakes, veggie sandwiches or veggie sandwiches are simply recommended. The coffee is also good, the bottom line is that everything is perfect from start to finish. Dogs are also allowed. You can sit inside or outside. We'll definitely be back.

Schnitzel day is the best day! Good food, very friendly staff and fast service. Schnitzel Day is my personal highlight; every Thursday there is an excellent, real Viennese schnitzel at an excellent price. Schnitzel Day has now become an integral part of me and my colleagues. The club sandwich is recommended for in between meals. Keep it up, great shop!

Friendly service, very good coffee, imaginative and delicious breakfast creations and sandwiches. The cheesecake is extremely delicious. The furnishings are somehow out of date, but in a positive way.

The three of us had a business lunch here. Wiener schnitzel and veggie sandwich. Both very good. Typical Berlin style of service, very relaxed and nice! Atmosphere cozy and individual. I find prices normal to moderate.

We were changing trains at Berlin Sudkreuz station. We had a little more than an hour until the train, so we decided to look for something nice for breakfast to keep the traveler's energy levels up. We were on the move in the morning and on Maps we noticed the attractive PapalaCup. The journey from the train station was only a ten minute leisurely walk. The restaurant was clearly popular because there were many table reservations. The friendly staff arranged seats for us and there were good options for travelers on the menu. My friends ordered omelets. I ended up with bacon bread. I wasn't really disappointed with my choice and neither were my companions, judging by the delicious sounds. The chef had left the yolk of the fried egg to the perfect degree of doneness, as it poured beautifully onto the plate as a dipping sauce. I recommend it to a passenger changing trains at Berlin Sudkreuz station who has about an hour to arrive for a delicious meal.

My absolute favorite cafe/restaurant! I've been coming here for years and am never (!) disappointed. As soon as it gets warmer again you can sit outside. Very tasty breakfast, but the schnitzel, for example on Schnitzel Thursday, is also very tasty! Definitely go and try it (or take it with you)! :)

'Do we look open?' is not an appropriate or polite response to asking if the cafe is open. Extremely rude and unfriendly and a simple "no, sorry" would suffice. Up until then, the service and atmosphere was great at this local cafe. Won't be coming back or recommending to anyone.

One of the coziest cafes in all of Berlin, with really nice staff and a great range of cakes, breakfast and food. Dogs are welcome there and they now also have vegan cakes, which makes it a highlight.

You actually get the impression that this could be a cool and nice shop. The decor, the location, the outdoor area is also really nice! Unfortunately, I felt uncomfortable every time I visited (around 10 times in 1 year). The staff doesn't seem correct, there are snippy answers to completely normal questions, it's overpriced (in 2024 you really don't have to charge such extra prices for non-cow's milk), you're annoyed every 5 minutes not to eat or eat something else order with the underlying tone: As soon as your drink is half empty, you can leave. I actually tried several times because I would really like the store just because of its proximity. It seems as if the staff can only be friendly as soon as there is enough profit. But hey, you can also be nice to those around you :) Bar only! And no reusable options.

The café is beautifully decorated and very cozy and very clean. The staff were all really so nice and accommodating and some other cafes should take a leaf out of their thumbs when it comes to service. The food is really very fresh and tasted good, the coffee is also great. In terms of price, I think it's a little too expensive for the portions you get. I recommend PapalaCup 99% of the time and will definitely come back for breakfast :)

Literally cannot fault this place. Service was above and beyond, breakfast was amazing, and the cheesecake truly rivalled a NYC NY cheesecake. Pablo was also a treat❤️🐶

I was tempted to go for four stars. But that would have been unfair. More about it later. The food here is fantastic. A great place to fill your soul with delicious food in a very cosy and friendly environment. They say that computers are not allowed, and I get that. Computer people would destroy the atmosphere, yet it is the perfect place to get your creative thoughts going. So, pen and paper? Pricey? A 15 to 20% price decrease would make me a regular client instead of a once-every-month visitor. So why almost four stars? The coffee. Perhaps personal taste, but I have always found it bitter, too acidic, and even watery. Sure, Europeans get lost in what an Americano means, but I can only say that it is not just that. It needs more strength and aroma. After some visits, I have learned my lesson and will start ordering Tea instead.

Dieses Lokal ist eine 12 von 10. Wirklich wahnsinnig nettes Personal, schönes Ambiente und das Essen ist ein Traum! Wir hatten leider nicht viel Zeit für unser Frühstück, dennoch wollten wir hier den Tag starten: Das Personal hat Vollgas gegeben!! :) Kleiner Tip von uns: bringt mehr Zeit mit und genießt mehr, als wir es konnten! Kommen sehr gerne wieder!

I ordered a cake and a big coffee and I was asked to leave a table and sit on a bench (holding all plates in hands or on the ground) because I "ordered too little". There were a lot of free tables around. Seriously? Pathetic behavior, I do not recommend going there. Maybe breakfast is good, although I don't care anymore.

Hier stimmt tatsächlich alles! Ambiente, Service, Auswahl, Qualität, optische Anmutung, Geschmack... ...selbst die Toiletten. Alles und alle könnte man noch mit fast schon überschwänglichen Attributen versehen - alles würde stimmen :-)

I waited 1h 30min for my lunch on a work day, only to find out that they no longer have it. They lost half my order somehow. I ordered my drink and food at the same time. In return, I got that €3.50 drink as goodwill. In detail: I ordered my lunch and was told at the time of ordering that it could take a bit longer than usual because of a kitchen problem. They said 30 minutes. After 1 hour and 20 minutes, a waiter comes to tell me that they never got my order. He said that they are now out of what I ordered. He was also questioning me on who I had ordered from. I ordered food and drinks at the same time. He was apologetic, but not too much. I expected different treatment after losing an hour and a half on a working day. (It took around 10 minutes for them to take my order after I first sat down.) He said that I can order something else and because there are no other customers, then it could be fast. Does that mean that if there were other customers, then my order wouldn’t be prioritized in this situation? I told him politely that I’m not happy with waiting more, and so he didn’t charge me for the 1x €3.50 drink that I had. Things go wrong sometimes, but I expected to be treated differently when a restaurant screws up this bad. There were at most 4 other tables while I was there. Nobody came to check on me the whole time.

Nice place for breakfast. Gluten free pancakes and gluten free bread are available which is great. There are vegan options as well. Soy yogurt and alternative milks for coffee. But cash only which is not convenient, we had to go to ATM because normally we don't use cash.

Ein must go! Die Bedienung war sehr sympathisch, sodass man sich sofort wohl gefühlt hat. Die Einrichtung ist süß und hatte ihren Charme. Auch der Kuchen hat super geschmeckt. Ich kann es nur empfehlen! Man sollte Bargeld mitbringen, da keine Kartenzahlungen möglich sind. Der Sternabzug ist der Musik geschuldet, die für meinen Geschmack etwas zu laut war, mich jedoch nicht davon abhält, nochmal zu kommen.

This place was perfect for me as I had a couple of hours to spend in Berlin, waiting for the train to Leipzig. I'm a vegetarian and they had just the perfect vegan dish to serve with a beautiful and fresh salad and baked vegetables, sliced avocado, home made hummus, guacamole and beet root mix with lemon slices. Waiting for the food I noticed the nice atmosphere full of hospitality and the familiar tone everyone had and it was lovely just being there enjoying people having a good meal or as they were passing by. So if you're hungry and you have an hour or two in Berlin, instead of staying at the busy station, take a little walk of 10 minutes at the most and enjoy the calm and friendly atmosphere at and neighborhood of Papala Club.

Essen war sehr gut aber nicht gerade preiswert! Bedienung war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich! Nur Barzahlung möglich.

A very beautiful café inside. I'd say it is more a winter cafe, because even though there are a few tables outside, the café is on a corner on 2 busy streets, and the pavement is narrow. In the afternoon, the sun is shining directly at the place, so you cannot sit outside. Furthermore, you cannot pay by card, which is always a negative for me 😏. The iced latte was ok, the omelette also ok

Just discovered this jewel. I knew it was a very popular breakfast place, but didn't know they serve very tasty dinner. Super friendly, multilingual staff. The best? Sitting outside with a glass of wine, observing the baby foxes coming out to play for the evening across the street. Priceless.
