God pasta och pizza som var prisvärd. Men 7€ för en flaska vatten. Pappduk och bestick delvis i plast drar dock ner betyget. Känns som att de prioriterar att snurra många gäster före att ge kunden en härlig upplevelse.

The pizza is one of the better in Berlin and the restaurant is well attended. Making a reservation is difficult, the employee listens to the reservation request only to say at the end that you should call again because there is a lot going on at the moment. It took me 3 attempts to make a reservation. It would be more efficient for the restaurant and the caller to accept the reservation the first time or not pick up the phone at all. That's nonsense. The restaurant is large, the tables are closely spaced. The staff are from friendly and cheerful to reserved. Our pizzas were good and came at the same time, we had to order dessert. You can go there, there are also alternatives.

The prices in this restaurant have increased significantly.

Overall pleasant pizzeria. Good food with very friendly staff. Prices normal. The sign outside is very nice (unfortunately smoking is everywhere in Berlin now!)

Pizza was good and OK (True Italian Pizza week, both versions were delicious!), unfortunately service wasn't that good or attentive, even though it was a Monday evening and the restaurant was almost empty... but the owner took better care of us than they did Service staff…

I went on a city tour of Berlin with my family and came across this Italian restaurant via Tripavisor. There really wasn't too much promised, the food was excellent!!! Original Italian, fresh and homemade food (pizza/pasta) The service (especially the boss himself was really top) every individual wish was fulfilled for us and our children. We felt like we had been regular guests for years. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures of the food because we were very hungry and didn't plan on having anyone rate it, but it was so good that I had to. I can only recommend it to anyone who is nearby. There were seven of us there, four adults and two children 👍👍👍👍

I've known it for decades, a good location with a huge high ceiling and since there's no smoking anymore you can see the height clearly. So far I have always eaten pizza, which is also very good, reasonably priced, the waiters are typically Italian, non-conformist but mostly friendly. If you want to meet, you should make a reservation. In summer you can sit outside.

Our first meal in Berlin and we were so lucky to wander into this wonderful place. Warmly welcomed, lovely food. But it was the service, warmth and hospitality from Luciano and his staff that made this a terrific meal. The pizza and spaghetti were great. Real Italian cooking! A charming place to go. Long established family run restaurant that has never disappointed. Top service, not only classic food, but also original and delicious vegetarian starters. Large open windows facing Ackerstrasse, now with a sound barrier inside, so the acoustics in the very high room have improved. A beautiful piece of Italy in Mitte.

I was there with my fiancé and we ordered our food just before 7pm. But the food didn't arrive until 8:30 p.m., if not just before 9 p.m. At first we sat inside, but then asked to be moved outside as it was very loud and chaotic inside. After waiting an hour for our food, we asked the staff about it. It turned out that we had been forgotten because we were transferred even though our order had already been taken - very strange. The preparation of the dishes only began after we informed us. When we finally sat outside, we were so close to another couple that it was almost impossible to enjoy our togetherness. Then came the climax: the food finally arrived, but it tasted terrible. There was only an apology, but no friendly treatment or accommodation. We usually always leave tips, but this time the behavior was really rude.

Ohhh no, we haven't been to Papa Pane for a few months... unfortunately the super tasty, thin pizzas and focaccias have been swapped for the Neapolitan, thick pizzas that are unfortunately becoming more and more common... that's very disappointing! We miss the super tasty, thin pizzas! Please return to the usual quality!

It’s definitely more of a pizza place than a pasta place. They have a large variety. Good if you want to escape the Neapolitan Pizza Hype a bit.

Sehr lecker komme gern wieder. Hat nicht den typisch italienischen Charme sondern ehr auf Geselligkeit ausgelegt mit viel reden und einer lauten aber angenehmen Stimmung. (Wie bei Peter pane) Das Personal war sehr nett und konnte sich auch viele Bestellungen im Kopf merken und richtig servieren. Die Messer sind aber kompletter Schwachsinn, schneiden nicht gut und biegen sich komplett durch. Ansonsten war nichts.🇮🇹

You can pay by card or cash. Restaurant really run by Italians. There is a lot of noise in the place so I give less to the atmosphere.

It's not just the food that tastes really good here. Above all, I was impressed by the service. Super friendly and helpful. You can tell that the atmosphere among colleagues here is good and people enjoy working together. I really liked it and have been there more than once. Lovely again.

It's not so easy to find a corner in Berlin-Mitte that isn't completely overrun with tourists who will pay any price. The Papa Pane di Sorrento is such a “corner”. Nice service and acceptable prices that you can pay even as a normal earner in Berlin. Since the street is quite quiet, you can sit outside.

Best to reserve. Food was very tasty. But unfortunately we had to wait longer, other guests came in and had their food quicker. The bread served was not fresh, but hard. You couldn't eat the edges.

Real Italian cuisine, well seasoned, friendly served. I had Tagliatelle Vongole, a poem! No tomato sauce, no cream, fantastically delicious. The pizzas not only looked great, they were wonderful. Thin, crispy dough, not too much topping and very nicely seasoned. The service was terrific.

The pizza in particular is super tasty, but unfortunately the other dishes don't come close. The service is always very nice and quick. Even though the restaurant has a charm, it is unfortunately really noisy in the location... you can hardly have a conversation in the evening. Otherwise, always happy! :)

I really like the pizza, really a good quality. We went for lunch, the place was quite empty, so the service was also quick and good. I was surprised to see that they have Chinotto, a typical Italian beverage that is really rare to find here in Germany. Really liked the place and would recommend it

Amazing. We had pizza here last night. Not the usual pizza napoletana, but the perfect soft/crunchy pizza I wanted to had! Very large, Thin in the centre and a perfect crust. I had the pizza "papa pane", filled with basil, super fresh and tasty, what I was hoping to have. The staff is super, welcoming and prepared. You can also see the wood-fire oven from the main hall. Oh, the Papa Pane! An integral part of the neighborhood for more than 20 years. When I talk about the food, I mean the pizza. And it's great. The staff is nice and the service is quick. The price is just ok - I think 17.50 for a normal pizza is quite steep. The restaurant is in all the travel guides, as it is usually so full. And so loud. Certainly not an insider tip, but still a good choice. thumbs up

Fremragende oplevelser to aftener i træk. Den første aften ved bordene udenfor, den anden aften indenfor (hvor der er højt til loftet). Vi var seks venner, og alle fik rigtig god mad - både hovedretter og desserter. Hurtig og god betjening, der styres af en sød og smilende "mama". Et godt tegn er, at der tilsyneladende er mange fra lokalområdet, der spiser her. Der er en dejlig, uformel og rummelig atmosfære (vi oplevede, at det var helt ok, at nogle gæster havde barnevogne, cykel, legetøj - og sågar en hund med ind i restauranten).

I have ordered pizza from this restaurant for more than 5 years now. They always made great traditional crust pizza. My favourite is the Tonno DOC Pizza, unfortunately the quality of the pizza has dropped in the past year or so. For some reason, the pizza is very heavy and wet. I am not sure what the reason is, maybe they are using a different type of tuna or maybe they didn't drain the tuna and olives properly. Pretty sure it is not condesation because I left the box open in my car immediately after colelcting it. This is already the third tonno pizza I have ordered that turned out to be too wet. Service remains good, but because of the wet pizzas, I cannot recommend this place.

Truly Italian food! During the trip we were open to all culinary experiences but after 4 days we needed original Italian flavors (especially my baby☺️. Here we found everything, from the starter to the pasta (al dente) to the pizza, all exceptional. The staff treated us like we were family ❤️ Highly recommended!

Today we spontaneously and accidentally ended up at Papa Pane for the first time. We were afraid that we would have to leave again because we hadn't made a reservation and the store was packed. But the great team made it possible and a whole bunch of others after us were somehow accommodated and when everything was already made possible they simply set up additional tables. Despite the fact that the store was completely overcrowded, the staff was deeply relaxed and provided top service with unimaginable confidence. We had already expected this and having to prepare for longer waiting times, but everything went like clockwork. The waiters were attentive and always had everything in view. The order was taken quickly and the food arrived in a breathtaking time given how busy the store was and it was extremely tasty! We had a bottle of Pinot Griccio, a fl. Water, 2x bruschetta as a starter, 2 pizza salami and once squid with asparagus and finally a tiramisu for a total of around 100€. The starter, main course and dessert were above average and the price was more than reasonable. Service was top. We can only recommend Papa Pane without reservation and will definitely go there again when we are back in Berlin. If there could be a point of criticism at all, it would only be that there should be such a great shop in every town...

Pizza is best when even the Margherita is remembered... gracie

The food is good, unfortunately, all the rest and the service were really bad. We had a big event there, and from the very beginning, they put us at two separate tables without informing me beforehand during a call. Then, after I clarified this, we ordered drinks, and the waiters spilled a whole beer on me and my guests, causing us to spend two hours going back home to change because we were soaked with beer, and then returning to the restaurant. It took about a month of numerous emails, phone calls, and nearly involving a lawyer to get them to pay for the clothes that we sent for cleaning, which we had to arrange and pay for ourselves, including the taxi. They eventually paid for the cleaning costs after about a month (after many calls and emails), as I mentioned, but the owner refused to cover the taxi expenses (for cleaning) or offer any compensation (except of dessert) for the time, the inconvenience during the event, or the aggravation caused. The waiter's excuse for spilling the beer was, 'I asked many times who ordered the beer, and no one answered.' It was a very disappointing night that should have been a great event. So, if you go there, be careful not to encounter such bad service or get soaked with beer. If you want any reimbursement for cleaning services, it seems you'll need to pursue it through a lawyer.

We drove here from Bremen. I'll keep it short, it was the best pizza I've eaten in my entire life. If you are looking for a pizza that will pamper your taste buds to the max then this is it.

The restaurant was busy on this Saturday evening, but not all tables were occupied. The waiting times were generally really long. Some of the starters seemed completely forgotten and were only served after asking. The pizza was delivered baked so hard that it was impossible to eat. This complaint was immediately replaced with a new copy. Everything seemed kind of messed up and poorly organized. Added to this was the high volume in the restaurant, conversations were really tiring.

The pizza was exceptionally tasty and the ambience and service were excellent.

Displaced by another Italian around the corner (apparently all seats were reserved, with three tables occupied), we found refuge at Papa Pane. We received a warm welcome, were given a clean table and the children were immediately given pens. The food (we had pizza and pasta) came quickly and scored points with its fresh ingredients and the best taste. What makes this visit unforgettable, however, is the personal hospitality. The children were asked about their order in a funny and charming way (there was even a short tour of the restaurant) and nice sayings rounded off the visit. In short: wonderful Italian food, very warm atmosphere and an absolute feeling of well-being!!! We will be back!

The food was very nice but the service was unacceptable In the begining we waited quite long for the drinks to receive a cola that wasnt fizzy at all. The waitress took it obviously personally because she was avoiding our table After asking for packing food for take away we received a pizza sandwich (one pizza on the top of the other) We didnt receive the receipt and we got charged extra and we dont even know for what. I really liked coming there but as a costumer i feel unwanted when i get this kind of attitude. Its a shame because the food is really delicious!
