I haven't been here for a few years. Unfortunately, the quality of the ingredients has seriously deteriorated and the open wine comes from the bottom shelf. I would recommend just eating pizza, it's really solid, even if there are better alternatives in Berlin. Service was friendly, attentive and they had the very busy store well under control!

We ate there today and it was pretty crowded and loud. Unfortunately, despite calling, the service often ran past us and a repeat order was forgotten. Since our dishes arrived well in advance, we had the choice between eating before the others or eating cold. Since that can happen on a Saturday evening due to a lot of guests, I'm still giving it 3 stars. Unfortunately the food was quite disappointing. I had a carbonara that was pretty tasteless and dry. I've definitely eaten a lot of better carbonara. I ate bruschetta as a starter. It was okay, but not particularly special, carelessly prepared and, like the carbonara, quite dry. For dessert there was tiramisu. It's a very large portion, which isn't a bad thing per se. However, 80% of it felt like just cream, it didn't taste like a café, it was way too sweet and there wasn't much biscuit dough either. Unfortunately the worst tiramisu I have ever eaten.

Came here last night driven by the good reviews. The waitress was lovely and beer also lovely but the food was unbelievably bad; ordered a carbonara and was served some kind of Rigatoni or Paccheri which was disgusting; watery and like a soup, wrong ingredients, had mushroom taste - I think they honestly tried to rebadge some other leftovers as it was quiet and about 1.5 hours before close. I have never in my life returned a meal but found it inedible and was more fuming when the waitress said “maybe you are not used to italian style pasta” 😅😅😅😅 Would be wary if you’re going anywhere near to closing time, perhaps that was the issue.

No WC room. The bartender told that restroom is located under the tree at the street in front of entrance. And there is strong urine odor. Not possible to wash hands. Food is perfect and waitress providing excellent service.

Hello, very centrally located and highly frequented business that is well-reputed. Prices are quite ambitious, given the location. Because of that and because Italian gastronomy is not my favorite, I'm unlikely to become a regular customer here. All the best to the company and its employees

Very good Italian restaurant with delicious, sometimes exceptionally prepared pizzas. The service was very friendly and in the restaurant you can pre-cut the pizzas if you wish and you can order additional plates so that you can share several pizzas with several people. Great concept! The rooms are quite large, they don't seem particularly comfortable, but you do feel comfortable. Despite the size, it was very crowded, so make a reservation. Clear recommendation for a visit!

My favorite Italian restaurant in Berlin. Strozzapretti with Ragu Bolognese is, as always, extremely delicious. Unfortunately there is no longer any lunch, which we very much regret. Update March 19, 2025: It's back: lunch at papa pane di Sorrento! I'm really happy about it.

My partner took me to Papa Pane and from the first moment I felt welcome, almost like I was with old friends. The ambience? Warm, lively, full of warmth. The service? Perfect – attentive but unobtrusive, with that charming Italian spirit. And then the food… fireworks for the senses! We started with the eggplant tartare - a taste explosion of fine roasted aromas and Mediterranean freshness. Each bite melted in the mouth as if it told a story of Italy. But the highlight of the evening? The Diavola pizza. Even as I write this sentence, I can feel the feeling of happiness from back then. The crispy, extremely tender base, the spicy, hot salami, the fruity tomato sauce – I closed my eyes and was no longer in Berlin, but somewhere between Naples and Sicily. Very cool store with even cooler employees. Spontaneously set up in the evening with 6 people - getting a table was super flexible. Great pizza and delicious tartare, enjoyed a few oysters first - with spectacular homemade limoncello and relaxed Berli-taliono sayings from Luciano. Finally, delicious desserts at the table. A perfect experience and highly recommended. Collegial greetings from Darmstadt.

We had a really nice evening in the restaurant. I've never eaten pizza better. The service was a smooth one. We got to the restaurant a few minutes early, the owners were so kind and bought us two drinks. This even though we were there 25 minutes before our reservation. A very big compliment. Everything is right here! ✌🏻

Not recommended for older people or people with mobility problems because there are toilets in the basement. 17 high concrete staircase steps. Danger of tripping! Unfortunately, there are no handrails on the outside walls of the stairwell for people with walking difficulties, for their safety. Experience report December 14, 2024, 6:00 p.m The shop was jam-packed, overcrowded, overseated with around 150 people; there were 20 of us alone and up to 50 candles. No windows to open. More carbon monoxide than oxygen, certainly fatal for asthmatics. ... And if 150 people are shouting at each other, the level on the decibel scale is way, way up there. No one could talk to their neighbor, no one understood a word. ...And what you need to know: You won't find a toilet here in the restaurant. To do this, you have to leave the premises through a fire safety door. Then you find yourself in an escape stairwell. Then you look for the way to the toilets. Then you discover a toilet scribble on the wall below, but no professional standard sign. Then you climb half the stairs (approx. 9 mega-high concrete steps) to a platform, then do the same thing again (approx. 8 steps). Then you are at the toilet area, unfortunately full of rubbish with various pieces of paper. The soap dispensers were empty or maybe broken. And then we went up the stairs very slowly again. Never again!!

We had a corporate dinner with 3 courses. Everything was delicious, but the biggest highlight is the service and atmosphere! It was so wonderful experience, owners put all heart in this place.

An absolutely great Italian! We were there with a larger group and felt very comfortable. The service is absolutely fast and reliable, even when the shop is packed, the waiter always has a casual saying to say. The pizza was super tasty and absolutely fresh. I technically own all of Berlin, it's not even a joke. This is one of my favorite Italian restaurants. Even my bodyguards enjoy their cuisine. A must -go!

Yesterday, on the longest rainy day, we visited your restaurant for the first time. We were very pleased with the warm welcome and constant attention from both the chamberlains and the restaurant owners. The dishes were pleasantly surprised by their taste (P-za Salsiccia alle Melanzane, 🍆 e P-za all Tonno) - a gourmet’s opinion. The dish “Vitello Tonnato” aroused particular admiration. We spent an unforgettable three hours in a pleasant atmosphere and left the restaurant with the desire to visit it again.

I think this pizzeria is highly recommended. I was there and the pizzeria looked very nice. The food there was very tasty and the service was very nice and funny. I would recommend this place and it was very nice there.😊

At least that's the impression the staff gave, that it was hard to get a table, but I didn't see anyone being sent away without a ticket, including this one... 🥸 There are candles on the tables and their flickering irritates my eyes terribly, after 20 minutes I had problems with vision, but that's just my problem. The room is large and has a very high ceiling, which gave the impression that you were at a train station, it was so loud there. What made me have mixed feelings were these disposable paper table covers, on the one hand, they were a nice thing, quick to replace, hygienic, but each glass left ugly marks, after a while the table looked not very appetizing, even though there were only drinks on it, like the food arrived, it's Augean's stable 😂 The food, oh yes, you can eat really well there. My partner invented bruschetta, but on a pizza base - no problem! Drizzled with olive oil it was delicious! Unfortunately, such a large appetizer left little space for the main dish, but there was no problem with the pizza box. I ordered 🍕 with six ❗️ types of cheese and you know what, I'm always amazed how good pizzerias can balance the amount of each 🧀 so that none of them dominates the taste. In weak ones, gorgonzola usually kills every other taste, but here it only enhanced the others. Delicious! Pappardelle with Bolognese sauce was also delicious, a bit too salty for me, but my partner liked it. 🤏🏻 I regretted ordering a pizza when I saw the waiter preparing fettuccine alfredo in a circle of parmesan (I guess that's it), I've always wanted to eat it, but on the other hand... I have a reason to go back! 😌 Actually, you shouldn't regret eating a good pizza, yes or no!? Even if it got a little burnt on the bottom... 😉 Finally, the service: very nice waiters who mix Italian and German, but not aggressively. When I wanted to order a second beer, I knocked over the empty glass, which made a noise (but I was already blind as a mole from the candles 🕯️, hello! 😂). The waitress only came up to me to laugh and say that it was a good thing because some of the guests were already sleeping at the tables! 😂

Nice place. Polite workers. The atmosphere in the restaurant is not the freshest, but cozy. The pizzas are good 10 out of 10 and the Merlot wine is good too. I advise. Holidays are celebrated here too.

My italian friend took me to this place promising me a high quality pizza and it didnt disappoint! I love it! Best pizza in town no jokes! Perfect armony in flavours and the dough was just another level. Tiramisu was creamy and very flavoury. One of the best I have tried. The place is big and the lighting perfect for having a quite dinning/date experience. The service was very good, friendly and helpful staff. I will come back for sure!

A very tasty pizza and definitely recommended. Not a revelation, however. However, the pizza is a perfect size to fill you up and not be too full afterwards. Great pizza! Aromatic dough, great toppings - simply delicious. Mixed starter platter is also recommended - very generous and enough for two people. Desserts are also recommended. I put on a star. The service was very, very friendly, but we didn't have anything to drink for a long time. I would have liked to have been asked every now and then whether I could have another drink - pizza makes you thirsty :) There is also an outside seating area. The pizzas on the menu are sorted according to vegetarian, meat and fish. The selection of vegetarian pizza is quite large.

The pizza is one of the better in Berlin and the restaurant is well attended. Making a reservation is difficult, the employee listens to the reservation request only to say at the end that you should call again because there is a lot going on at the moment. It took me 3 attempts to make a reservation. It would be more efficient for the restaurant and the caller to accept the reservation the first time or not pick up the phone at all. That's nonsense. The restaurant is large, the tables are closely spaced. The staff are from friendly and cheerful to reserved. Our pizzas were good and came at the same time, we had to order dessert. You can go there, there are also alternatives.

I went on a city tour of Berlin with my family and came across this Italian restaurant via Tripavisor. There really wasn't too much promised, the food was excellent!!! Original Italian, fresh and homemade food (pizza/pasta) The service (especially the boss himself was really top) every individual wish was fulfilled for us and our children. We felt like we had been regular guests for years. Unfortunately we didn't take any pictures of the food because we were very hungry and didn't plan on having anyone rate it, but it was so good that I had to. I can only recommend it to anyone who is nearby. There were seven of us there, four adults and two children 👍👍👍👍

I've known it for decades, a good location with a huge high ceiling and since there's no smoking anymore you can see the height clearly. So far I have always eaten pizza, which is also very good, reasonably priced, the waiters are typically Italian, non-conformist but mostly friendly. If you want to meet, you should make a reservation. In summer you can sit outside.

Long established family run restaurant that has never disappointed. Top service, not only classic food, but also original and delicious vegetarian starters. Large open windows facing Ackerstrasse, now with a sound barrier inside, so the acoustics in the very high room have improved. A beautiful piece of Italy in Mitte.

I was there with my fiancé and we ordered our food just before 7pm. But the food didn't arrive until 8:30 p.m., if not just before 9 p.m. At first we sat inside, but then asked to be moved outside as it was very loud and chaotic inside. After waiting an hour for our food, we asked the staff about it. It turned out that we had been forgotten because we were transferred even though our order had already been taken - very strange. The preparation of the dishes only began after we informed us. When we finally sat outside, we were so close to another couple that it was almost impossible to enjoy our togetherness. Then came the climax: the food finally arrived, but it tasted terrible. There was only an apology, but no friendly treatment or accommodation. We usually always leave tips, but this time the behavior was really rude.

Ohhh no, we haven't been to Papa Pane for a few months... unfortunately the super tasty, thin pizzas and focaccias have been swapped for the Neapolitan, thick pizzas that are unfortunately becoming more and more common... that's very disappointing! We miss the super tasty, thin pizzas! Please return to the usual quality!

It’s definitely more of a pizza place than a pasta place. They have a large variety. Good if you want to escape the Neapolitan Pizza Hype a bit.

Sehr lecker komme gern wieder. Hat nicht den typisch italienischen Charme sondern ehr auf Geselligkeit ausgelegt mit viel reden und einer lauten aber angenehmen Stimmung. (Wie bei Peter pane) Das Personal war sehr nett und konnte sich auch viele Bestellungen im Kopf merken und richtig servieren. Die Messer sind aber kompletter Schwachsinn, schneiden nicht gut und biegen sich komplett durch. Ansonsten war nichts.🇮🇹
