Palazzo Ristorante & Pizzeria in Duisburg

We were here last night with our friends and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and arrived without a long wait. The service is exceptional, as is the ambiance. Our friends were here for the first time and also enjoyed it very much. We would love to come back...

I've been visiting the Palazzo regularly for many years, about ten to twelve times a year. I, or rather we, also order food there when we meet up with friends once a month at the wine bar across the street. The food was always delicious and the portions were generous; the service staff was friendly and attentive. As with many other restaurants, it gets very noisy when the tables are full. When the weather's nice, a seat on the outdoor terrace is highly recommended. I can recommend the Palazzo with a clear conscience.

Why have we been here so rarely? Everything is just right here. Nice and friendly staff, who even like to crack a joke. The food is way better than at many other Italian restaurants. Lots of fish on the pizza, the crust is nice and thin, and the pasta dishes are also excellent. The ambiance is cozy and appealing. Simply a feel-good place, and yes, we'll be coming more often now :-)

Ich gehe öfters dort essen, bisher war das Essen immer gut, manchmal dauert es etwas zu lang bis man bedient wird, ist aber immer noch im Rahmen. Also weiter so ich komme gerne zu Euch.

I visited this restaurant twice during my trip. The food is excellent with good service. This restaurant is very close to the train station and I highly recommend you to visit here if you have a transfer in Duisburg.

Currently our favorite Italian restaurant with excellent service and delicious food

We gave the restaurant a second chance yesterday after a long wait. Unfortunately, the result was very disappointing! Ordered "Tries Tres" pasta for €16! There were a whopping 8 ribbon pastas, 4 tortellini, and a slab of lasagna on the plate, all mixed with tomato sauce. An absolute disgrace for the money, and none of the staff wanted to hear it! Conclusion: Never again!

I was at the Palazzo restaurant with my daughter today and would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for the wonderful experience. The food was not only delicious, but also very lovingly prepared. What particularly impressed me, however, was the exceptionally friendly and helpful service. The guys were incredibly kind and accommodating. During our visit, I unfortunately realized that I didn't have my credit card with me. Immediately after ordering, I informed the wait staff and wanted to cancel my order, as I could only pay for my daughter's meal. Without hesitation, the waiters offered their help and allowed me to pay the bill later. This trust and humanity touched me deeply. I would like to take this opportunity to once again thank Mr. Prebresa and the entire team. It was not only a culinary delight, but also a very special moment on a personal level. Next time, I'd rather have pizza or pasta! The liver was unfortunately not tasty at all. Luckily, there were only three thin pieces under the huge pile of onions. It was accompanied by soft-boiled broccoli, which I expect al dente from an Italian restaurant! I also found it very strange that they weren't able to serve an "affogato." However, the service was very friendly and the atmosphere pleasant.

After a visit to the casino we went here for a bite to eat and we were in a good mood. It was pretty quiet and we ordered pizza and a kind of focaccia. The house bread was very fresh and delicious. The focaccia was too salty and the garlic could have been a bit more subtle. The pizzas were more than enough, but the dough was a bit too rich. I would like this to be a bit lighter. Finally, the tiramisu, which was delicious. Price quality is fine. About €25,- with two drinks. All in all, a nice place to have a bite to eat. To help people on their way, from now on a legend: Stars 1. Run run run, before it's too late. 2. Weak to moderate. You can better spend your money elsewhere and or the experience is also disappointing. 3. On the right track, but there are major bumps in the road in terms of quality and or hospitality. 4. Yes, I want to see. There is room for improvement, but I would definitely come back. 5. Yes, I want to see this, experience it and I recommend you to drive around for it.

We were with you for the first time today. The food was really delicious! 😋 The service was just as good; People always asked if everything tasted good. And you didn't have to wait for drinks either. Really, all five of us were really happy and will definitely come back :) 5 +++ .

The restaurant is recommended for pizza and pasta. Unfortunately not for meat. We fell on our noses for the second time today because the steaks were not medium, but almost done. (Filet steak Monte & Mare and rump steak with asparagus). We were offered to prepare both dishes again, but we declined. We're really not vegetarians, but an animal had to die for this. That's why I don't think it's good when meat is thrown away just because the cook wasn't paying attention. We therefore saved the restaurant a financial loss with our decision. Nevertheless, when we paid we weren't even offered a limoncelo or something similar as an apology. Something that you basically get as a goodbye at many other restaurants, even if nothing went wrong in the kitchen. However, we haven't had any bad experiences with pizza and pasta. We will therefore come back. However, we will never order steaks again. We actually do it better at home.

Yesterday we came from Münster to the SixxPaxx show in Duisburg, probably like most of the guests until 7.30 p.m. A friend was there before us, but two of us were a little late due to the wrong route. As soon as we were greeted we were teased by one of the waiters. This continued throughout the entire dinner. It was really funny and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Both the waiters and us girls were in an absolutely great mood! The food was really good. Eating here before an event in a good mood is highly recommended. Unfortunately none of us took any photos.

Nach einem Arztbesuch wollten wir gegen 14.00 Uhr dort Essen gehen. Man bot uns im Innern einen Tisch an und das war es dann auch. Nachdem wir ca. 15 Minuten gewartet hatten und Niemand uns von den 4 Kellnern fragte was wir wollten, sind wir aufgestanden und gegangen. Im Innnern waren vielleicht 4 Tische besetzt, auf der Sonnenterrasse jedoch mehr.

This restaurant is located in the City Palais. There are several parking options nearby (chargeable). Nice cozy atmosphere and also nicely decorated. Man sitting either inside or outside. Operation and recording were quick. The dishes were served attractively and the taste was also convincing.

Mich hat es nicht begeistert. Die Gerichte sind sehr einfach gemacht, man spart überall, auch an der Heizung. Kellner hatte uns übersehen, obwohl der Laden noch leer war. Schlechten Tag erwischt. Nicht nochmal.

We went for Valentine's Day. Everything was well organized. There were roses on every table and despite the crowd, the orders were served swiftly without any delay. I liked it and recommend it.

Food was quite okay for the price. Ambience and location are also quite good. What is lacking is good service. I have to say that I've been there before and had no problem with the service. However, last time was very poor. At first we were greeted badly and were only told that we should order quickly in an inappropriate manner, even though the kitchen was still open for 1:30 hours. In general you didn't really have the feeling that you were well served. I would have expected more.

Bad value for money! Quality and service ok. Ambiance & space good. Prices far too high for what is offered. Selling simple pasta dishes with a value of around €2 for €16 is bad. Just as expensive is a lightly topped salami pizza for around €16. Portions are partly reminiscent of an appetizer. Here the limit to excessive prices for cheap ingredients has simply been exceeded.

Unfortunately, at peak times you can no longer use your own words and it looks more like a canteen. Long waiting times and the waiters mix up the food with the other tables or you order and are not served anything. If you ask, you will also receive comments about who you ordered from. This store actually has a lot of potential, but unfortunately poor coordination.

An overpriced Italian, with poor service and sexist operation: We were there with a larger group, over 10 people. What I can positively emphasize is the ambience/beautiful furnishings. We sat upstairs and it was relatively quiet and we could have a good conversation. What really didn't work was the service. We actually all wanted to eat together, but our dishes came so late that the first ones were ready before even half of us had anything. 2 people got their food so late that everyone else had already finished. We were there for about 3 hours because the food took so long. Nobody came up in between to take drink orders again. At the end, those who had to wait so long for their food were only offered a schnapps; there was no non-alcoholic alternative, so those who refused the schnapps received nothing but small compensation. Not everyone liked it either, dishes were mixed up and the wrong ones were brought, the price-performance ratio is not good. But what bothered me most was the sexist service. As a few briefly went to repark their cars, jokes were made about women not being able to park. My suggestion that it wasn't funny was ignored and the joke was simply expanded on, which women couldn't do.

eten was aardig, niet bijzonder. een zeer terechte klacht over een gerecht werd afgedaan met volgende keer beter. wij nooit meer en zeker geen aanrader.

We were there spontaneously at around 6 p.m. It was pretty full but we were seated straight away at a free table. There are children's meals too. Great price. The meals were very tasty. Not too much or too little. We were very full with one main course each. We'd love to come back when we're in the area.

Service top, ambience a bit too loud, I ordered saltimbocca, I only know it with veal, it says fillet on the menu and then there was one disappointment after another. Slices of fillet were fried to death, as was the ham, both absolutely tasteless and to top it off, no sage taste at all!!!! Sage tastes very intense. I didn't order dessert, my colleague had tiramisu, supposedly homemade, which was an industrial product from an Italian manufacturer.

Service was some of the worse we ever saw, the waiters were rude, the table was available 25min later than booked, we received no communication regarding the late availability of the table, were asked to wait outside, got ignored every time we asked for information

When I drink my delicious wine at City Vinum, I usually get a little hungry .. I love the tortellini with Gorgonzola cheese gratin .. the number 60 .. what annoys me is that they always taste different .. the sauce has to be creamy .. very thin again today .. there seem to be 3 cooks working there .. and everyone does it differently .. sometimes I'm lucky and one of the 3 cooks makes me food .. so it's kind of like a lottery .. I'm also annoyed that sometimes you can't get anyone to answer the phone... the Vinum is now a cheap restaurant extension... that doesn't cost any rent. You should also answer the phone sometimes .. the staff is always very friendly and accurate .. so dear team from the Palazzo .. bring equality into the kitchen and answer the phone .. everything else is always great ..

The restaurant is relatively loud. The menu is extensive, the pasta alla norma is solid, but not great, but the Lugana with it was very, very good. Was at the right temperature. The service is quick. A nice place to grab a bite to eat before the concert

Good food, great staff, not expensive but located in a shopping centre, so atmosphere not 5/5. OK for a business lunch but maybe not if you're planning a romantic evening...

Wir waren nun bereits zum 3. Mal in diesem Restaurant, obwohl wir nicht aus Duisburg kommen, und waren zum 3. Mal begeistert. Das Essen ist wirklich sehr lecker und der Service ist überragend gut! Wir werden am kommenden Samstag erneut dorthin fahren und freuen uns schon darauf.

Positiv muss man sagen, menschlich total liebevoll und auf jeden Fall gut gemeint. Jedoch bezüglich Preisleistung total überteuert und eigentlich qualitativ eher mittelmäßig, einfach ambitioniert, aber auch nicht mehr. Die Nudeln gehen in schweren Soßen unter, das Filet Steak ertrinkt ebenfalls in einer, allenfalls ok-ishen, also mittelprächtigen Sauce mit den Ideen von Trüffeln, der Salat eher im Bereich von okay, immerhin ganz gute Weine. Und noch mal betont, positiv total nettes Personal, die Küche sollte sich jedoch weiter entwickeln, da ist Luft nach oben.

We were there with 4 people. The food was very good (starters and main courses). The waiter was very attentive, friendly and helpful. However, the rest of the service was a bit hectic which led to a certain level of unrest.

I only ate there once and that was enough for me, just totally disappointing. When we asked the waiter for a recommendation, he was completely overwhelmed. The way the restaurant presents itself, I expect service staff who don't get flustered at the slightest question. My husband ordered a medium steak and it was simply served well done, inedible for him. I'd rather go to La Savi, they also have competent waiters. My salmon was also very dry. I put a few drops of lemon on it and it lost all flavor and spice. I barely got half of it down.

I ordered a dish for 16.90 and paid with 20 euros. I got 3 euros back with the comment "I don't have 10 cents" and the man walked away without further ado. I didn't even get a chance to say "never mind." The food itself seemed like leftovers from the day to me, meager and not really fresh anymore
