A truly fantastic location, and one of the few that has been around in Duisburg for so long. Anyone visiting the inner harbor should definitely stop by. It's absolutely worth it. Five stars are more than deserved!

L’Osteria in Duisburg's inner harbor – this was my second time here with my girlfriend, and the second time I felt truly welcome as a guest. From the very first moment, the young staff took excellent care of us throughout the evening. When our food arrived so quickly, the evening was perfect. The pizza and the pasta were incredibly delicious, and now we're looking forward to the panna cotta. A thoroughly enjoyable evening!

My visit to L’Osteria left a very positive impression overall. The food and drinks were consistently excellent: the dishes were freshly prepared, perfectly balanced in flavor, and beautifully presented. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the ingredients—it's clear they don't cut corners. The selection of food and drinks is extensive and offers something to suit different tastes (from light salads and classic pasta dishes to hearty specialties). The drinks menu, featuring wines and cocktails, complemented the food perfectly and was served with great taste. The ambiance is very appealing: the interior design is harmonious, the lighting pleasant, and the tables beautifully set—ideal for lingering. The style is modern yet cozy, making you feel right at home. The service was friendly and attentive; the staff seemed professional, orders arrived promptly, and minor questions were answered without any problems. The only real downside, however, was the noise level in the restaurant. I found the noise level borderline acceptable—especially during peak hours, it got very loud, making quiet conversations difficult and often requiring me to raise my voice considerably. This was a shame, because with such good food and service, a quieter environment would significantly enhance the overall experience. Possible improvements would include additional acoustic measures (curtains, carpets, sound-absorbing panels) or a slight adjustment to the seating arrangement to reduce the noise level. Value for money: reasonable. The prices meet my expectations for the quality offered, and the portion sizes are satisfactory. L’Osteria is definitely recommended for special occasions or a relaxed dinner—especially if you choose a table outside of peak hours to avoid the noise. Conclusion: Very good food and drinks, appealing ambiance, and friendly service—but deductions due to the high noise level. If the restaurant improves the acoustics, I would award it five stars without hesitation. As it stands, it's a solid four stars, with the hope of a quieter atmosphere on my next visit.

A very inviting atmosphere at the Innhafen harbor and very friendly service. Thank you, Mia, for the attentive service. It made our time with the delicious pizza even more enjoyable. And so there was still room for dessert, they gave us a box to take away for the leftover slice. Highly recommended.

The food was really very good for the price, but the service was truly awful. The waiters were consistently in a bad mood and ruined the atmosphere, acting as if they were superior to the customers and serving them very arrogantly.

The food was fantastic, highly recommended. What's absolutely unacceptable, though, is having to wait almost 45 minutes to pay, even after asking several times. We also noticed that the waitstaff wasn't around very often during our two-hour visit. But the most important thing is asking four or five times if we can leave a good review. Maybe it will be better next time.

With Mercan, we had exceptionally fast and very friendly service. Both pasta and pizza were delicious. The noise from the conversations somewhat spoiled the atmosphere. But we would come back.

I was at L'Osteria today and I'm absolutely thrilled! The food was, as always, delicious – fresh, hot, and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting, but what really made the evening special was the service. A huge shout-out to Ahmet! Such a friendly, attentive, and warm waiter – you can just tell he's passionate about his job. He served us with a smile all evening, was always there when we needed anything, and remained calm despite the full house. Employees like that make all the difference! We eat here every year for my birthday and are never disappointed. The food is delicious, the service is very good and attentive. This year they also have a children's menu. Everything is perfect, as always.

The food is very good and the prices are reasonable. There's a lunch menu with attractive specials. Today I had macaroni Bolognese. It was delicious and perfectly adequate. The salad with goat cheese, walnuts, beets, and apple was large (4 slices of goat cheese roll) and very tasty. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We were there about a year ago and have to revise our impression, for the better. Last time, it was barely busy, but we still had to wait a long time for our food. When it arrived, only two-thirds of our order arrived, and those dishes were already cold. The third meal arrived 20 minutes later. Yesterday, we went back on the recommendation of friends, and everything was completely different. The waitress was very nice and quick. Despite the restaurant being full and our order of six dishes, the food arrived together and was hot and very tasty! All in all, we were very satisfied. So, I would now recommend the place with a clear conscience!

Unfortunately, prices have risen significantly. Service was friendly. The seasonal dessert was sold out by 6 p.m. on Sunday, which was a shame. The pizza and risotto were both delicious. However, when paying by card, you were immediately asked for a 10% tip, and there was no option for 5%... I don't think that's okay. Tipping is still voluntary in Germany, and for good service, it's 5-10%, not 10-25%!

Honestly, disappointing. I wasn't even allowed to sit at a small table an hour before because it was supposedly "just cleaned." What kind of customer service is that? And then they don't even serve a small water with the espresso – standard in almost every normal restaurant. For a brand like L'Osteria, I find that abysmal. 👎

Beautifully located at a harbor in Duisburg

You don't go to L'Osteria to experience a romantic Italian evening; instead, the focus here is on getting an incredibly large, delicious pizza at a reasonable price. Service varies, as many people here are changing jobs (or part-time jobs). It's always very crowded and very loud at peak times. So, yes for families, no for couples.

I ordered a pizza and bruschetta via Uber Eats. While the bruschetta is supposed to be cold, unfortunately, the pizza was too. Uber Eats is refusing my (partial) refund request. It's a shame, as I'm actually a big fan of L'Osteria. The bruschetta, however, was very tasty.
