You don't go to L'Osteria for a romantic Italian evening; instead, the focus here is on getting an incredibly large, delicious pizza at a reasonable price. Service varies, as many people here are changing jobs (or part-time jobs). It's always very crowded and very loud at peak times. So, yes for families, no for couples.

The acoustics could be better... otherwise everything was great! Thank you very much!

I ordered a pizza and bruschetta via Uber Eats. While the bruschetta is supposed to be cold, unfortunately, the pizza was too. Uber Eats is refusing my (partial) refund request. It's a shame, as I'm actually a big fan of L'Osteria. The bruschetta, however, was very tasty.

Always delicious. You always leave feeling full! And always very nice and friendly service staff, like Ms. Kerima today. Top!

1 star (0 stars would have been better) A restaurant visit should be characterized by hospitality and professional service – but here I experienced the opposite. Significant problems arose even when paying: The table billing was incorrect, leaving our group in a completely unnecessary and ambiguous situation. Instead of communicating transparently or proposing a practical solution, the matter was presented in an increasingly confusing manner. For half an hour, it was unclear what we were even supposed to pay. The culmination of the whole thing, however, wasn't the calculation error itself, but the disrespectful treatment of us guests. When I asked questions, I was accused in a condescending tone of "not being able to do math." This remark didn't come from an overwhelmed server, but from the "manager" (Ilay, we had asked for her name) herself – in a loud, arrogant tone, accompanied by a condescending, informal tone and an inappropriate demeanor. This is absolutely unacceptable in the restaurant industry. Instead of taking responsibility for the obvious mistake, we were even subtly blamed for the financial burden on our employees. This is not only unprofessional, but also puts guests under moral pressure – an absolute no-go. Overall, an experience that ruined any joy of visiting a restaurant. Anyone who values ​​respectful treatment, professionalism, and transparent processes should think carefully about visiting this restaurant. For me, it's clear: once and never again.

Always worth a visit! We go here regularly and have never been disappointed! Super friendly and attentive service and incredibly delicious food. The pizza is the absolute highlight here, but the pasta and salads are always delicious too. The location, right on the inner harbor, is particularly beautiful in summer, as there are plenty of outdoor seating options. The only criticism is the acoustics inside.

The pizzas are super large, but very thin. The pasta portion is quite small compared to the pizza. Everything tastes very good, though. The dessert is also recommended. The background noise is unpleasantly loud. It's very difficult to have a conversation there. The price/performance ratio is okay.

I recently had the opportunity to visit L'Osteria in Duisburg and would like to share my impressions. Overall, my experience was pleasant, although there are some minor areas for improvement. However, the food wasn't quite perfect—some dishes lacked a bit of refinement, or the seasoning could have been more intense. On the positive side, the portions were generous and the value for money was good. It would be especially nice if the menu also offered halal options, as this is an important consideration for many guests these days. The service was okay, rather average. The staff were friendly but rather routine, without particularly responding to individual requests or recommendations. The wait times for drinks and food were within the normal range—nothing negative, but nothing particularly outstanding either. The ambiance of L'Osteria Duisburg is definitely a plus. The restaurant is very large, modern, and brightly decorated, making you feel at home quickly despite its size. The seating is comfortable, and the open-plan design ensures you don't feel cramped, even during peak times. Ideal for gatherings with friends, family, or larger groups. All in all, L'Osteria Duisburg is a solid restaurant that scores highly for its pleasant atmosphere and appealing food. Anyone who loves pasta or pizza will definitely be satisfied here. For a perfect experience, the quality of the food could be improved a bit, and the introduction of halal dishes would be a major plus to appeal to an even wider audience. The service is friendly, if not particularly outstanding, but this hardly detracts from the overall impression. A recommended place for a relaxed restaurant visit.

An outrage! Waiting 45 minutes for drinks and then an incredible 1.5 hours for food – and that on a Saturday night – is simply intolerable. The server was friendly, but friendliness alone is no substitute for efficient service. The restrooms were even worse: absolutely disgusting, dirty, and in such a state that it ruins any appetite.
