Palandöken Kebap in Mönchengladbach

I've never eaten a kebab that tasted so disgusting. Far too expensive. The kebab was almost empty, I mean, almost empty. The soft cheese tasted like it'd been sitting around for two days. I forgot to bring a drink. I will definitely not order from there again. It's simply yucky. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone!

Had the old skewer on. I feel sick, it used to be much better.

The meat was tasty, but the bread wasn't toasted well, and I think the price is too high for the portion size. The service could be improved, and the employees could also wear clean work clothes. Bottom line: there are better kebabs for less money in Mönchengladbach.

Unfriendly staff, tone/manner/facial expression... I order and pay immediately at the beginning (like everyone else), but at the end I'm charged an extra two pieces of spicy cheese (FOR AN ORDER OF +40€). Anyone who orders there often knows exactly who I mean... I won't be going there again as a regular customer. They should rotate the staff before they ruin the place. Best regards

Unusually expensive doner kebab

First, I forgot the fries. Second, the food was cold even though we were 500 meters away as the crow flies. The kebab fell apart just by looking at it. And the best part is, there's a long black hair in my kebab. The worst place I've ever been! It's disgusting!

Two stars go to the steak doner kebab that was even offered. The bread fell apart in our hands while we were eating it. The sauces weren't that great either. Prices are well above average. There's only outdoor seating in the summer. When cashing out, the employee made a series of calculation errors, obviously not in my favor, but in the favor of the store.

We were here for the first time today. Conclusion: We've never had such delicious kebabs. The steak was incredibly tender. The salad was super fresh, and the seasonings and sauces (I think they were homemade) went so well with it. The bread was crispy, perfect. The fries were also very tasty. To finish, the staff served us Greek melon. The service was fantastic and extremely friendly. Thank you so much. We'll definitely be back.

Unfortunately, at 9:50 p.m. we didn't get any more food and were sent away straight from the parking lot...according to the internet it's open until midnight.

Over two hours of waiting and no one answers the phone, a shame, the meat is burnt or black, the baklava is very bad and small, I would guess it comes from the metro, not okay.

Unbelievable, it took 97 minutes from order to delivery, which could have been overlooked if the food hadn't been cold and had been of better quality. The fries were an absolute disaster, and the lahmacun were prepared so poorly that they were broken and rolled as if a novice had been working on it. Bottom line: never again. I would have loved to ask for my money back.

We had a lahmacun with doner kebab, chicken schnitzel (with a side salad and fries), and a farmer's salad. The doner kebab was OK, but a bit more variety in the salad (just iceberg lettuce, onions, and tomatoes) would have been acceptable for that price. The schnitzel was good, but the fries were unfortunately not seasoned at all. The farmer's salad for €10, however, was a disgrace! It was a simple side salad (like the schnitzel – iceberg lettuce, cucumber, and tomato) with a few pieces of feta cheese on top, but there wasn't even enough for vinegar and oil. Truly abysmal. Since we ordered, I can't rate the service or ambiance.

Top-notch place – highly recommended! At Palandöken Kebap, everything is just right! The food is truly delicious, freshly prepared, and tastes like it's from home. I'd especially like to mention the employee, Abdullah – very friendly, helpful, and just a great guy! He makes you feel welcome right away. Abdullah, the best guy! We arrived and wanted to order a kebab plate and the menu and have eaten everything well so far. However, our food came in a cardboard box and with a plastic fork even though we were there. The fries were completely over salted and probably not fresh from the fryer. The meat was dry and really not good. It was good back then on Erzberger Straße, but since then the quality has become significantly worse!

The steak kebab was OK. However, the wait and the fries for €3.50 were a joke. I'll never order from here again; I don't recommend it.

I don't usually write bad reviews, but this was taken to the extreme. Once a WhatsApp order was not processed because there was a technical error. I then had to wait another 10 minutes on site. My call was answered once and I was told to wait a moment. Orders were accepted on site etc. I wanted to know how long they would last... I ended up waiting a full 32 minutes. While I was waiting I drove there. When I asked about it on site, I was told that it wasn't him and that it was the driver. You realize that it's worth a lot when the owner is in the store and not just some employees. It was my last visit there!

The food wasn't good and it's very expensive and you have to repeat your order several times. I wouldn't buy anything there again

The store surprised me positively. I thought, well what's the big difference compared to other kebabs, but no! The meat makes a big difference. We have had deliveries delivered several times. Up to now, delivery has always been 15 to 20 minutes before the announced delivery time (delivery as soon as possible when ordering). In the event of complications (e.g. the desired drink cannot be delivered or the wrong product was delivered), the service is always friendly and accommodating. The quality of the food is good but not exceptional. We would like to see a larger selection of products with typical Turkish dishes.

Ordered food and it was warm after a reasonable amount of time, kebabs were really good for delivery.

The service in the restaurant back then on Erzbergerstrasse was the very last and once again we were not disappointed! We waited 2 hours for our food! After multiple calls we received the food and it was ice cold, not packaged properly and some had leaked! Ingredients were put into the food that we had expressly asked not to include, so the food wasn't even edible for us! Unfortunately it's our own fault but I wanted to give them another chance, that's it. I can only advise everyone against the store, I had heard from some friends that it just didn't taste good, so I couldn't try it myself... Waited 2 hours, food in the trash and a lot of money gone.

Unprofessional. I wanted a big kebab and would have gladly paid more for it, but meat was probably too expensive. The store has no future, and the elaborate advertising with a drone that they are currently producing won't help. I would have preferred to order further from Mces 300m.

Last week I got the new steak kebab for €9.50 and was unfortunately bitterly disappointed! For €9.50 I expect a generously filled flatbread and not a spare portion! I also have to honestly say that the taste wasn't particularly special, even the standard kebab in my usual stall has a better meat taste. For 7€ you'll notice!

As always, the food was quick and tasty and hot. I'm thrilled with the store.

You can eat kebab. Unfortunately there is no sweet sauce. This is a must for me. Too bad. The fries in the Pomdöner were so greasy that they hung between your fingers.

The food is ok. The selection could be better. It's just a kebab house that is designed for delivery. The staff is a bit unmotivated and seemed annoyed. The Palandöken Restaurant on Erzberger Straße was much better, cozier and with a large selection of food. The service is better there too. Should be the same operator.

We ordered a kebab with just meat, salad and sauce. A normal kebab came with everything we didn't want on it. The fries were great. And unfortunately the kebab wasn't as spicy as ordered. Instead of kebab meat there was chicken meat, which was agreed upon but unfortunately really wasn't tasty 😞

The kebab is incredibly good. There are now new staff and now the kebab tastes like a first. Gladbach has a lot of kebab shops, but this one is the best in my opinion. The kebab tasted great from start to finish. The baklava tastes just as wonderful.

It was a very terrible experience, It took more than two hours to receive my food. I ordered food with Uber Eats and it took a hell of time. I ordered Chicken Döner from Uber Eats in their Restaurant Online, the order got confirmed and was expected to arrive at 19:45. Yet, they informed me 30 minutes after order that they don't have chicken Döner so they asked me to cancel the order. If they couldn't make the food they should cancel from their side. After I argued that I cannot cancel the order with two calls, they agreed on change to something else. However, it took more than an hour for delivery, the food got cold and the fries were soft with oil. Very Bad restaurant. I won't recommend it to any of my International Mates or fellow mates.

Catastrophe!!!! The owner treats customers badly, is unfriendly and rude!!!!I have been a regular customer for about a year and have always been satisfied with the orders and the delivery service. I regularly eat a kebab box (salad + kebab meat). The staff knows me and knows straight away that there is salad in the box instead of fries. The service has also been very nice so far, except on those days when the unfriendly blonde German owner was there and took the orders in a very unfriendly manner. So far I have tolerated the rudeness, but my last order over the phone was the trigger, so I will never eat or order there again. Yesterday I called and wanted to order my kebab box as usual, but the German owner was on the phone again with her disgusting manner and didn't want to accept my request for salad instead of fries in the box. I tried to explain to her that I was a regular customer and that the staff knew my order. Whereupon I received the extremely outrageous answer that that wasn't possible and that she, as the owner, could decide that way!!! She spoke to me in an extremely dismissive and arrogant manner!!! With this behavior she will definitely lose many more customers. A real disgrace!!!! Despite the delicious kebab, Palandöken is done for me and I can only advise against eating or ordering there!!!!!!!!

Actually tastes good but employees don't feel like working. Today - 3:50 p.m. in the store and employees are hiding in the back and don't respond to repeated speech because they are so engrossed in their cell phones.

I ordered there and unfortunately I didn't read the reviews beforehand. 38€ for meat that not only looked like charcoal, it even tasted worse than charcoal to me and smelled very strange. This store is probably the last place that charges money for waste. Disgusting

The order was placed at around 6:50 p.m. - then the notification came that the waiting time would be between 20 and 45 minutes. So much for now. I called at 8:29 p.m. and was even told that the food had been on the way for a long time and that the driver had taken a detour and would come via Giesenkirchen instead of driving to us first because we live practically around the corner. On the phone I said I would send the food back if it arrived cold. Since then my wife and I have heard NOTHING! No call back, no email, simply not at all! We then decided to cancel what happened at “info@takeaway.com” at 9:25 p.m. and at Lieferando at 9:28 p.m. It's a shame that people have neglected it so much. Will never go there or order again. Apart from that, about 2 hours of waiting time is not a reasonable waiting time, stressful or not. Work on yourself and take this criticism to heart if you don't want to lose more customers like my wife and I did. Have a nice evening.

When we arrived there was still chicken there, but you could only get it by ordering (delivery). The meat was burnt, despite a note saying I didn't want the burnt meat. The Börek for €11.90 didn't come with a dip. Overall, the quality has decreased significantly.

So I have to say everything, the two guys who were on duty this evening are great. I come from the catering industry myself and my husband and I are always happy to see the two of them there! They are friendly, customer focused and always up for fun no matter how stressful it is. We were there the other day and there was a young lady there with a colleague. She was very snarky and not really customer friendly. Your food is so good that's why we like to come back again and again. We only had a bad day twice out of what felt like 100 times. That was once when we ordered online and once when the lady was there. Otherwise, I recommend you 100%. And again... The guys who were on duty this evening on December 17th, 2023 at 8 p.m. are some of the best staff you have 👍 Big praise from us. 👍 Keep it up 🙏 we will remain loyal to you!

We ordered via UberEats and were unfortunately very disappointed. The meat had no taste and was partially charred. There was what felt like 2 liters of sauce in the kebab, which was unfortunately inedible. Unfortunately it was also my second order as the first time I thought maybe it was a bad day and things would be better the second time. I deeply regret ordering there.

Es ist halt eine kleine,mit ein paar Tischen vor dem Laden, aber auch bemerkenswert sehr saubere Döner"bude"👍☺️wir lieben die döner mit selbst hergestellten minifladenbrot, das leckere Fleisch, meist Hähnchen, und die Saucen einfach, ebenso die immer frisch zubereiteten Pommes, alle Angestellten fallen durchweg mit sehr freundlichem und kundenwunschorientiertem Benehmen auf👋👋👋👍auch den lieferdienst haben wir schon getestet und ebenfalls für gut und schnell befunden😊die Portionen sind reichlich👍👋 Es gab mal eine Zeitlang auch Kuchen aus dem Hauptgeschäft, Erzbergerstrasse ist das, glaub ich.. Jetzt leider nicht mehr.. Vermissen den absolut besten, und natürlich "kalorienärmsten" (spaß😉😁🤣) Schokokuchen sehr👍
