Öz Gaziantep in Aachen

The lunch dishes, in particular, are very tasty and reasonably priced. We eat there regularly for lunch. Friendly and efficient staff 👍😋 Update September 25: Unfortunately, the quality of the kebabs has declined considerably. Very greasy and undercooked. The prices for the dishes have generally increased significantly. I don't think the value for money is appropriate.

Honestly, this is definitely the best Turkish restaurant in all of Germany for me! The doner kebab is really big for the price, and I often get the grill plate when I go there with friends. All the ingredients are always fresh, and the service is very fast, even when it's busy. The people here are also very nice. I'd gladly go back to Aachen for this 😍

One of the best Turkish restaurants in whole of Europe

From a hearty Turkish breakfast to culinary delights you won't find anywhere else, this restaurant offers everything Turkish food lovers could want. Guests also receive friendly service, and the food arrives quickly and freshly. And it tastes "mega," truly good. I'm hard-pressed to find anything to complain about. Why? There's nothing.

It's not normal to pay €17 for a kebab plate! There were three of us there who just wanted something to eat and thought, "Come on, let's treat ourselves to a kebab plate, 3 ayrans, and a Coke." The total bill was €67.70, which is ridiculously expensive! I later found out a regular kebab cost €10! What's wrong with these businesses? The kebab plate was mediocre, the meat was cold, and the rice was tasty, but the price is outrageous.

It used to be a place I used to go to often, but today I experienced something that bothered me. While we were eating, they lit the coffee at the table next to us to keep the bees and flies away, and we were so sick from the smoke that we couldn't breathe. We told the waiter, but he said he couldn't do anything. We told someone else, I think he was the boss, and after a while, he took it and put it under the table, but the smoke was still coming. We got up from the table and when I expressed my discomfort, the man said okay, okay, and responded with a very disrespectful attitude, as if to tell them to shut up. A business shouldn't disrespect its customers like this. If the coffee they set on to make one customer, someone they know and chat with, is bothering another customer, they should fix this and stop being disrespectful. I won't go there again. Sooner or later, if they continue to act like this, more customers will leave, and eventually, they'll just sit and catch the flies themselves... 🙏🏼

I went there on July 8th to get a doner kebab. At €6.50, it was a very reasonable price. The bread was long and quite okay, nothing special. Unfortunately, you could only taste a little of the bread because the vegetables contained a lot of parsley. The taste of the parsley stayed with me throughout my meal. There was no red sauce, only yogurt sauce; that was good, though. The vegetables seemed fresh and were good, too. I particularly praise the distribution. The vegetables and meat were very well layered vertically, and you had a good ratio of meat to salad in every bite from start to finish. The bread also didn't get soggy until the end and held up well during the meal. Overall, I give this place 5.2/10, making it a very average doner kebab.

Today we bought 4 heads of trotters and brought them home. There are a few pieces of meat in them. There is no taste like there is no meat. What you call head and trotters means meat. Normally, I would always buy it from here, but today it misled us, we did not like it at all 👎🏻

We went to this place on the last day of Ramadan. We ordered İskender kebab. It is not clear what kind of meat it was (there were small bones and lots of nerves inside) although there should be butter on top, I asked the waiter if there would be butter, he said there was, we took it and accepted it. But believe me, there was not even a gram of butter in it. The waiters are inexperienced. The manager is inexperienced. We had a completely disastrous meal, they should pray, it was Iftar dinner, I did not raise my voice in order not to create tension and disturb others, but again? Never!

So what can I say here?! On Elsasstr ​​in Aachen there are several restaurants where you can eat and each offers its own cuisine. I particularly like Öz. I mostly eat lamb's head soup, schnitzel and dinner with lamb or something similar, always different. I like to order a lot so that my table is full and I take the rest home (because throwing food away is Haram). That doesn't mean that other restaurants on Elsasstrasse are bad, but for me I really like Öz Gaziantep, as I wrote above. The employees are of course also very nice. Thank you.

Unfortunately, the liver was, in one word, a disgrace. It was burnt on the outside and uncooked on the inside. I've never eaten such bad liver in my life. Its color, smell and taste had changed and it looked like it had been waiting. The membranes of the lungs were not cleaned and there was an intense taste of blood and salt. The kelle trotter was very delicious. Lahmacun had no salt, but it was cooked well. The pita dough was not fully cooked and the taste was not good.

Disappointing experience in the restaurant - never again! We were in the restaurant today and only ordered künefe and tea - a small, cozy break that was thoroughly spoiled. The Künefe was a bitter disappointment: so bitter that I could only eat the ice cream on top. I tried a few bites but it just didn't work. The dessert was literally soaked in sugar syrup, which did neither the taste nor the texture any good, and the cheese content, which is typical for Künefe, was hardly present. Instead, the künefe was covered in a bitter, green layer that definitely had nothing to do with pistachios. When I pointed out to the waiter that I couldn't eat the dessert like that, his reaction was anything but customer-friendly. He even claimed that I had eaten an “extreme amount” of it and asked me flippantly what I wanted from him. This disrespectful response and complete lack of customer service shocked and disappointed me. We've always enjoyed staying here, but after this experience it's clear: we won't be coming back.

The main courses are great, if you ask for a starter, the main course comes before the starter is finished. They are very fast in that regard, but it is really annoying. The food is delicious.

The only bad thing about this restaurant was that the main courses arrived before the soup we ordered was finished. My advice is to just go for the main course because everything was amazing.

The people of Antep are the cooks of the cuisine. Adanasi, stuffed meatballs, lahmacun... It's the only place I would go to eat in Belgium without getting tired.

I persistently asked the reason and they did not give a reason. In my opinion, it's a waste and I don't understand why they don't package the food I paid for. This is my favorite Turkish restaurant (for grilled meat) in Aachen so far. My regular dish is Tavuk Sis with Rice. You will get two well marinated and grilled chicken breast skewers with grilled tomato and 🌶️. As a starter the waiter will bring you a complimentary small side salad and a plate with delicious pastes and freshly baked bread. Çok güzel!

We were there with the OGS with a total of 14 children and were given a very warm welcome and more than enough food. At the end there were even lollies. We are extremely satisfied and the teachers even got black tea. For that reason alone I would come back again and again. :-)

OMG, best Turkish food I’ve ever eaten! Full disclosure, I’m not a Turkish food connaisseur, but in general I cherish lovely cuisine. So here, a small farmer’s salad wirh pomegranate juice was served as a free, fresh greeting from the kitchen, followed by a small starter plate with no less than 7 light and tasty dips and two phyllo/white cheese Borek rolls, served with freshly backed pita bread. My main was the daily special: eggplant/bell pepper/tomatoe/mince meat stew for only 8,90 Euros. So yummy and comforting!! A tick greasy, but the sauce was happily absorbed by the risotto-style round rice. The second main was lamb filet with joghurt sauce - incredibly tender yet still smokey around the edges - impossible to stop stealing little chunks from my husbands plate. According to the server the turnover is so great that the meat is coming daily fresh from the butcher. More a takeaway-ambiance than a real restaurant, but with attentive service. Add to that an ongoing stream of - apparently - the who-is-who of town and you felt truely transported into a different culture. Merci & we’ll be back!

Hello, we ate in the restaurant today. Our food arrived, my meat was cold and old. We had to change our table spontaneously because others had reserved. We got our food and desserts in a quick way so we could leave quicker because others had already made reservations. The atmosphere is very narrow and small, you don't feel comfortable. After eating we all felt very weak, tired and exhausted. Our bellies were full and we couldn't move. We puked and had diarrhea because of the food. It's a shame because we were recommended this restaurant.
