Otito Vietnamese Food in Berlin

Even though no one was there, we grabbed a table. The soup was really delicious and spicy, but it was a shame we were still eating it before the main course was served. All in all, a delicious meal.

Listen, the restaurant is super cute and nice looking, probably a family business.. i respect that.. but the food was a bit odd it lacked sauce and it left a very weird aftertaste.. the service was very nice but unfortunately the food wasn’t as nice.. On top of that the me and my friends had a reaction to the food.. so hygiene isn’t the best.

While I appreciate the quality of the food, transparency in pricing is just as important. Hidden costs leave a bad impression and make customers feel misled. I hope the restaurant can address this issue, because with clear and honest billing, this place could easily become a favorite.

The food was delicious! You can't pay with a debit card, so keep that in mind.

Great service. The dishes are exquisite. All great diversity of vegetarian and vegan options. Would 100% recommend !! They serve all throughout the day.

If you like Thai food, this is the place for you. They have a lunchtime special. I opted for grilled tuna (€13.90). Delicious.

Had one of the best red curries here! The soup and the summer rolls with shrimp were also excellent. The service was friendly and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed. Very satisfying evening after sightseeing.

The Pork spring rolls were great. The spicy tuna sushi was surprisingly good - I’d recommend. Star of the show! The beef phō was ok, not the best, not the worst. A good portion though.

Lovely spot. Good food, friendly staff. A welcome break from typical German food. Really nice view onto the bustling street, watching life go by and people Waiting for their bus. A good spot if you're doing dinner for one. For dessert get the Glue rice rolls taro filling, on banana leaf. INCREDIBLE if you like salty sweet!

I first went there 10 years ago; the service used to be more attentive and friendly. The value for money is still good; the ambiance is a matter of taste, but I like it.

The food is typical Vietnamese, and they also have sushi, which is common in Berlin. The food is good, as is the service. I especially liked the fried banana dessert.

I'm genuinely disappointed, I chose this place because of the positive reviews but since I walked in I didn't have a good experience. I was waiting to be seated, they told me to sit anywhere which is fine but when I sat down I was waiting for a menu around 5/8mins and no one came up...so I went to grab it myself and the waitress gave me an odd look. I asked for glass of water and it was poured into a wine glass😂🫣 such small mistakes and they affect the customers experience, staff need more training. Otherwise, the Udon pasta dish with chicken was nice, no issues with the food. Edit: Had to drop it to one star as the waitress was demanding cash, from an older lady that was paying Infront of me. When I went to pay, she also demanded cash, I told her no I only have card. (There's no cash only sign) So I paid in card but I wanted to give a 0% tip as the waitress selected 20%, the waitresses here have a wage (I'm from Ireland) unlike the USA where there is a tipping culture. I couldn't select the 0% as the card machine wouldn't let me which is VERY unusual.

Cash only. The nearby ATM had a 5.95 euro fee per transaction. The food is not bad, so be sure to bring cash.

Absolutely the worst Vietnamese restaurant experience I’ve had. The food was bland, greasy, and tasted nothing like authentic Vietnamese cuisine — more like it was microwaved from a can. The pho was lukewarm, the spring rolls were soggy, and everything felt stale. To make it worse, the service was shockingly unfriendly. From the moment we walked in, the staff made it feel like we were inconveniencing them just by being there. No greeting, no smile, no basic courtesy. When we politely mentioned the cold soup, we were met with an eye roll and no offer to fix it. There are so many fantastic Vietnamese spots in the city — this is not one of them. I regret not walking out the moment we sat down. Do yourself a favor and eat literally anywhere else.

Ok food but charging for a small glass of tap water, giving a frown when asking to pay by card, and adding a default tip to the bill. No thanks.

My first ever trip advisor post, but had too. Never felt so so unwelcomed at a restaurant, was very quite so couldn't understand why the lack of service,I am from the UK so not sure if that was the issue, I don't speak German or Vietnamese but was polite curtius and always smiled and thankful. Food arrived at different times (we were a couple) food was just about warm, we never complained just paid and left feeling like our night was wasted. I've never ever left without tipping before but honestly left felt like they owe me. Loving Berlin just not there.

As always when Vietnamese food is popular, Pho Bo is at the top of the wish list. This one was really tasty, but the beef had a strange consistency. I have no idea if that's always the case here. My wife was completely satisfied with her meal. The ambience is unobtrusively Asian and the music is pleasant. We were there at start time, perfect seat, attentive staff. After us, however, all hell broke out, with endless guests. The staff seemed slightly overwhelmed, but were still attentive. And the volume of the music only played a minor role anyway. The next visit will come when we are in Berlin again.

Pho soup was mediocre and service slow

Delicious meal, we had a nice chicken soup with rice noodles and a decent udon noodles with beef. Definitely reccomend trying some of they're sodas and ice tea. Top notch!

Sorry but they barely could speak English or German. The communication was really hard, the food was okay. We were in 4 people, none of us really enjoyed.

It's a food stall. The coconut soup was extremely tasty, fresh vegetables, well seasoned. Boiling hot on a cold December day. The sushi was a bit boring. Ok in quality, but maybe a bit dry and well, simple? But that's what a food stall is for: simple, tasty, filling. The ambience. Oh yes, I wanted to eat something and not go to the design lecture.

Great experience! We went here after reading loads of positive Google recommendations. Had the creamy red curry chicken, fried salmon sticks and 16 pieces of sushi (the Asahi) as starters, and then the beef noodles and fried duck noodles as maincourses. Sushi was not amazing, but the rest was really perfect… so much authentic flavour!! To top it off the service was very kind, welcoming and chill. Will recommend for sure :)

A small Vietnamese restaurant with a good small menu. The service team is fast and very friendly. I had a dish with rice and chicken, which I really enjoyed. My conclusion: just try it out.

Came in to warm up and grab a meal. Pho wasn’t as flavorful as other places I’ve had. Also when inquiring about the sizes as the menu advertises a smaller portion the waiter proceeded to tell me one is small one is big. This wasn’t a language barrier but a service barrier. Place wasn’t as warm as you’d like as a haven against the cold. Yakitori was small and dry/ chewy. Would recommend trying a different establishment, they aren’t winning the guest with the food, service, or ambience here.

Most impressed with the food. We went to Vietnam earlier this year and what we ate tonight brought back great memories. The flavours were really authentic, the food was cooked perfectly. It was as good, if not better than what we enjoyed in hanoi. Thank you for bringing back such lovely memories.

Great Vietnamese restaurant - food & service were excellent. We were trying to find a restaurant in this area of Berlin & were struggling - stumbled across Otito & so glad we did! Food is really fresh & tasty - as good as the food we tried in Hanoi in april & better than some!

I am back again after visiting here 2 years ago. The atmosphere is calming with jazz in the background and dimmed lighting. The food is fresh and still outstanding!!!! A large population of Germans cannot tolerate spicy dishes so If you enjoy a good spicy dinner just ask them to provide you a little extra minced chilly on the side to experience the full experience of fine Vietnamese dining. Whatever you order, the chef has a golden touch, which I think makes it very authentic.  Next time I come back to Berlin, I will be dining here again. You can not go wrong spending your money here!!!! When you come here don't forget to ask for Hoang Anh, he is very professional and his English is excellent. Don't forget to tip these guys, either. The rest of the wait staff are friendly as well and make this place a great restaurant to enjoy good food and have a great time.

My favorite Vietnamese. Very tasty food in a small restaurant with friendly service. There is also a large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. In my opinion, the best sushi in the city center is served here and the spicy pho is to die for. The mix between cold (e.g. sushi) and warm dishes is particularly good. When you're in very diverse groups, everyone can find something.

The service was hard to reach but kind. But the food was a bit meh, it was good but the shrimp had its legs and shell still and cooked.

We “came into this” without a plan and were very satisfied! My tofu dish was delicious! We also really enjoyed the tea mixture (in pots). The service was very courteous and the restaurant was very cozy. Highly recommended!

The food was incredibly tasty (especially the sushi) and the employee was very nice and even made extra tea when she noticed that we had a cold. By the way, sitting inside is better than outside because of the noisy street. The prices are a bit higher but there are also decent large portions. Highly recommended! :)

Very tasty food!!! When food makes you happy: fresh & delicious flavors & good portions. The price is completely ok. We happened to go to the Vietnamese restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The waiter was very friendly and all of our special requests were possible. The food came without a long wait. We ordered an appetizer finger food platter which we shared. So far these are the tastiest summer rolls I've ever had. Fresh herbs, crunchy salad and nuts provide a taste experience. There were also homemade wontons and small spring rolls. The soup was great and so was my noodles with crispy chicken. Be sure to try the dessert and the tea! Dessert was crispy apple rings with ice cream! A poem. The warm owner has very unusual teas. Thank you very much Ms. Minh Chinh, we will be back. 👋

Family dinner at my favorite restaurant Otito. Delicious and light Vietnamese food and great sushi. There is a new chef cooking, so the food tastes a little different. Delicious. I'm looking forward to more.

Definitely recommended if you like authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The food is tasty and is also an experience for the eyes. The attentive and courteous staff rounds off the excellent impression.

We are ordered Tom Yam, Miso soup and Coconut soup. The coconut soup was okay, but miso and Tom Yam …… Dishes Bun Nam Bo with tuna and beef were not tasty, tuna was terrible and the dishes were very dry.

Bad sushi, the rice was not good, it was really dry; the food arrived late and the personal was having lunch in front of the customers; didn’t find it nice.

The service could not have been worst. Leave the table unattended for long period of time. No napkins, no collaboration. No glasses provided for beverage unless required

We had our lunch before leave Berlin at this restaurant. Basically the restaurant was clean, food was delicious and I personally liked the fried chicken as it was crunchy. Overall we were satisfied except the payment method, it can be done by cash only.

More than enough veggie and vegan choices ❤️ We recommend the sauteed spinach, main course nr 170 (rice with vegan oyster-ginger sauce) and nr 171 (glass noodles with seitan), and the pumpkin sushi For drinks: the honey iced tea and lassis!

It was incredibly delicious! Especially the soups and the spicy mango salad. The sushi was great too. The lemonade was nice and intense and the fruit tea was exceptionally good. It's a bit noisy outside on Leipziger Straße, but that didn't bother us.

The food was served quickly and tasted excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

I like this restaurant and always like to visit it when I'm in Berlin and the opportunity arises.

I ordered pho. The taste is so so and the portion is about half of the size in another Vietnamese restaurant. Price is more expensive. I dined outside and realize the bus station is next to it later. Passenger waiting for the bus and smoking next to you. Service is very good!

When I ordered coke and pho big one but they give small little pho
