Otito Vietnamese Food in Berlin

Great Vietnamese restaurant - food & service were excellent. We were trying to find a restaurant in this area of Berlin & were struggling - stumbled across Otito & so glad we did! Food is really fresh & tasty - as good as the food we tried in Hanoi in april & better than some!

Most impressed with the food. We went to Vietnam earlier this year and what we ate tonight brought back great memories. The flavours were really authentic, the food was cooked perfectly. It was as good, if not better than what we enjoyed in hanoi. Thank you for bringing back such lovely memories.

I am back again after visiting here 2 years ago. The atmosphere is calming with jazz in the background and dimmed lighting. The food is fresh and still outstanding!!!! A large population of Germans cannot tolerate spicy dishes so If you enjoy a good spicy dinner just ask them to provide you a little extra minced chilly on the side to experience the full experience of fine Vietnamese dining. Whatever you order, the chef has a golden touch, which I think makes it very authentic.  Next time I come back to Berlin, I will be dining here again. You can not go wrong spending your money here!!!! When you come here don't forget to ask for Hoang Anh, he is very professional and his English is excellent. Don't forget to tip these guys, either. The rest of the wait staff are friendly as well and make this place a great restaurant to enjoy good food and have a great time.

My favorite Vietnamese. Very tasty food in a small restaurant with friendly service. There is also a large selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. In my opinion, the best sushi in the city center is served here and the spicy pho is to die for. The mix between cold (e.g. sushi) and warm dishes is particularly good. When you're in very diverse groups, everyone can find something.

The service was hard to reach but kind. But the food was a bit meh, it was good but the shrimp had its legs and shell still and cooked.

We “came into this” without a plan and were very satisfied! My tofu dish was delicious! We also really enjoyed the tea mixture (in pots). The service was very courteous and the restaurant was very cozy. Highly recommended!

The food was incredibly tasty (especially the sushi) and the employee was very nice and even made extra tea when she noticed that we had a cold. By the way, sitting inside is better than outside because of the noisy street. The prices are a bit higher but there are also decent large portions. Highly recommended! :)

Good beef dish, really nice people and flavors

Very tasty food!!! When food makes you happy: fresh & delicious flavors & good portions. The price is completely ok. We happened to go to the Vietnamese restaurant and were pleasantly surprised. The waiter was very friendly and all of our special requests were possible. The food came without a long wait. We ordered an appetizer finger food platter which we shared. So far these are the tastiest summer rolls I've ever had. Fresh herbs, crunchy salad and nuts provide a taste experience. There were also homemade wontons and small spring rolls. The soup was great and so was my noodles with crispy chicken. Be sure to try the dessert and the tea! Dessert was crispy apple rings with ice cream! A poem. The warm owner has very unusual teas. Thank you very much Ms. Minh Chinh, we will be back. 👋

Family dinner at my favorite restaurant Otito. Delicious and light Vietnamese food and great sushi. There is a new chef cooking, so the food tastes a little different. Delicious. I'm looking forward to more.

Definitely recommended if you like authentic Vietnamese cuisine. The food is tasty and is also an experience for the eyes. The attentive and courteous staff rounds off the excellent impression.

We are ordered Tom Yam, Miso soup and Coconut soup. The coconut soup was okay, but miso and Tom Yam …… Dishes Bun Nam Bo with tuna and beef were not tasty, tuna was terrible and the dishes were very dry.

It was my first time eating in a vietnamese restaurant and it was way better than expected. The food was very delicious and the staff was very polite. It is exceeding in every aspect.

Don't get the pho, it's chicken and noodles in a herbal tea and it costs too much

Bad sushi, the rice was not good, it was really dry; the food arrived late and the personal was having lunch in front of the customers; didn’t find it nice.

The service could not have been worst. Leave the table unattended for long period of time. No napkins, no collaboration. No glasses provided for beverage unless required

We had our lunch before leave Berlin at this restaurant. Basically the restaurant was clean, food was delicious and I personally liked the fried chicken as it was crunchy. Overall we were satisfied except the payment method, it can be done by cash only.

More than enough veggie and vegan choices ❤️ We recommend the sauteed spinach, main course nr 170 (rice with vegan oyster-ginger sauce) and nr 171 (glass noodles with seitan), and the pumpkin sushi For drinks: the honey iced tea and lassis!

It was incredibly delicious! Especially the soups and the spicy mango salad. The sushi was great too. The lemonade was nice and intense and the fruit tea was exceptionally good. It's a bit noisy outside on Leipziger Straße, but that didn't bother us.

The food was served quickly and tasted excellent. The staff was extremely helpful and accommodating.

I like this restaurant and always like to visit it when I'm in Berlin and the opportunity arises.

VietNam cuisine is the best in the world

Heerlijk verse sushi, aanrader! Echt top qua smaak! Super prijs kwaliteit verhouding. Om de hoek bij checkpoint Charlie.

I ordered pho. The taste is so so and the portion is about half of the size in another Vietnamese restaurant. Price is more expensive. I dined outside and realize the bus station is next to it later. Passenger waiting for the bus and smoking next to you. Service is very good!

Simply delicious, everything is freshly prepared, very tasty and healthy. The Vietnamese landlady is also very charming. The prices are extremely reasonable, considering the quality of the food on offer.

Einfach köstlich, alles frisch zubereitet, sehr lecker und erst noch gesund. Die vietnamesische Wirtin ist überdies noch sehr liebenswürdig. Die Preise sind -gemessen an der Qualität des Gebotenen- äusserstM günstig.

We were waiting 25 minutes to be served in almost empty restaurant and we have left restaurant after. Do not recommend at all.

Being Australian, we are privileged when it comes to SEAsian cuisine. That said ... This is a fairly typical Vietnamese restaurant with a Berlinese edge. The food is authentic. The portions are generous. The price is right. Enough said?

Not authentic Vietnamese food, poor service

A disappointment. Modest flavors and very expensive prices. Just one example: summer rolls 7 euros. The most expensive in all of Berlin. They can also be found for 3.50 euros and better.

Food was ok. But!!! lol. They refused to give me a glass of tap water. They told me I need to pay 1Euro for a glass of water. Waiter said :” here in Germany we charge for water”. Total lie. Day before I went to another restaurant and nobody charged me for a glass of water. So I said to them no tips for you. Their loss. Food was ok but nothing extraordinary

Ordered crispy salmon and asked if the fish is raw and they said “no” but it was raw.. ordered EBI(which is usually should be srimp) roll and they brought tuna… and said that it’s a “spicy ebi”. Also no mayo in description, but rolls were covered in spicy-mayo sauce

I was absolutely famished when I stopped by this place. Their crispy chicken with various sides was amazing. The food was served within minutes of ordering it. The servers are also very nice!

Food great, prices ok, ambience well, it depends on what you expect, service ok... I come to this restaurant once almost every time I visit Berlin...

Quick service. Order pho, and it came quickly. I say 2 stars for the food because the beef wasn’t edible. Was so tough, and just not good quality. It’s like the meat was frozen and defrosted 4 days ago then put into the pho. The broth was good though!

Service was okay and place was ok but it was probably the worst Pho I have eaten in my life. I have eaten at more than 20 different places but this one had no taste. To much water and the meat was pre-cocked. No spices and it was just bad. I told then about it but they said it is popular. Of course it is popular if people come and order, specially tourists and they want Pho and think they will get a good one. But otitos do not have good Pho at all.

The food is good with very wide selection of menus. The service is great.

The staff were very rude and horrible , they don’t know how to deal with custom and they are very aggressive. I will never go back again to that place

A friend wanted to try the restaurant because we walked past it often and it was always busy. I can't say it was a disappointment, but I don't have to go back any time soon. Service was sometimes very overzealous, almost intrusive, and then you were forgotten for long periods of time, even though it was pretty empty throughout our visit. Prices were comparatively expensive for a place like this, but the food wasn't commensurate. Not bad by any means, but you can eat like this or better in almost every Vietnamese restaurant in Berlin, even within walking distance of Otito, I could recommend some of them, and at a cheaper price. We may have had a bad day, but if I get the chance I'd be happy to give the restaurant another chance. But not so soon.

The food menu consists of Vietnamese and Japanese food. The papaya and mango salad are perfectly prepared. There is a good selection of sushi to try. The food is fresh, and you know they are using good fresh ingredients. They are cooking every dish from scratch. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and a good place to come with colleagues, friends or even a date. The restaurant is on the main street. There wasn't a dish I did not like. Every single dish was well prepared. All the fish dishes used good fresh fish. Nothing frozen. They even have veggies options. I give this place 4 for food. overall rating 4.5/5

Good service, nice food and inexpensive.

Pho was below average, papaya salad is okay, service was indifferent.

My experience was not good, but I have to say that it was the first time in a Vietnamese. We ordered the mango salad, based on the reviews, and we couldn't eat it. The smell was very strong, like being in bad condition. And the taste was not good. We don't know if it's because of something we're not used to or if it was really bad. The sushi… average. There were some that were hard, as if made the day before. Cleaning…. The table was dirty, we told them and they told us it was water. You stayed stuck on the ground. We have to say that they already accept credit cards. But he wanted to charge us before seeing the bill. I don't think it's recommended at all.

Try the banana ice cream dessert. So so good!

Fantastic home made Vietnamese food. Try the vegan rice noodle tofu dish with chili. Fresh and tasty. Cooked by Mama. Must eat in Mitte. 5 stars.

I didn't like the food. The myso soup had a very strange aftertaste. The crusted chicken was bland and the service was slow. Furthermore, prices have increased by 30%

The food is delicious but, while there were a lot of people, only one person really works in the dining room and is a little overwhelmed.

Service zu Beginn freundlich und bemüht. Jedoch komplett unterbesetzt und dementsprechend leidet die Qualität. Getränke vergessen, ein Gericht vergessen, 3x nach der Rechnung fragen müssen. Am Ende entschuldigt sich der Service, dass es vergessen wurde und geht in den Feierabend ohne die Rechnung zu bringen. Essen war nicht wirklich warm und Produkte wurden zum Nachteil der Gäste ohne Kommentar einfach weggelassen bzw. ersetzt. Positiv: Das Essen an sich sah sehr ansprechend aus und die Qualität der Produkte war gut. Getränke lecker.

The recessions were promising, but unfortunately things weren't more than okay locally. The service was very good, the food tasted like flavor enhancers to me, so it wasn't good and was also heavy on the stomach.

Walking along nice, cool Berlin without much wind at 8C we happened to see this Vietnamese restaurant with an entire section for vegetarians and walked in without much ado. The mango salad also had lotus stems, red onion, coriander, lime and coriander. The coriander is the differentiator between this one and all the other mango salads I’ve had. Easily the best salad I ate in a while. The Miso soup was okay but then it had to compete with the mango salad 😉. Pho or rice noodle soup was authentic Vietnamese because of theway the ingredients are ground and soup is prepared. Rau Xao or rice with pan fried bakchoy, baby corn, sugar snap peas and tofu in oyster sauce was again a star dish for me. The service was very efficient and staff very courteous. Overall a fantastic meal experience thanks to the chef and service crew.

Preis-Leistung war nicht optimal im Vergleich zu anderen Restaurants, bezahlt haben wir über 70 € für drei Gerichte, zwei Hauptspeisen und Getränke. Das Essen im Vergleich zu anderen auch Geschmackssache, für mich jedenfalls war es nur okay. Die Menge war ok. Allergikerfreundlich nicht, aber es war der Versuch da es zu sein. Trotzdem wurde Besprochenes nicht, wie eigentlich vorher mitgeteilt bei der Vorspeise eingehalten, was dann doch eher dazu führte, dass ich darauf verzichtet habe. Ich hatte dann bei meinem Gericht Angst besagte Zutat zu entdecken, aber das war zum Glück nicht der Fall. Wir haben sehr lange warten müssen, Grund unbekannt. Zusammengefasst: Für uns leider nicht nochmal.

Das beste Bun Bo (#133), das ich kenne. Und der Tee #292 ist auch sehr, sehr lecker. Sitzen kann man leider nur drinnen, es sei denn man macht die Leipziger Str zur Fahrradstraße..

Really nice Vietnamese food at fair prices. I opted for the beef pho, and it was delicious. Great food, service with a smile and a good atmosphere. I would happily return!!

Quite refreshing vegan pho of a good portion. Just wish that there were more vegan starter options and reminder of coriander and these other chopped green. I was also missing the sprouts
