Othello in Pfaffenhofen a.d.Ilm

Been there again for a long time. Food wasn't that great.

I've been coming back for years and have never been disappointed. The food tastes good. Full marks for service and ambience inside and out. The prices are okay. Unfortunately, the website is not entirely up-to-date and not mobile-friendly. The menu is temporarily unavailable.

Poor service, satisfactory food, nice surroundings We came as a large group and had inadequate and unfriendly service. The order was taken and no one else asked if everything was OK or if anyone would like something else to drink. The waitress smelled of cigarette smoke. In general it seemed like a quick turnaround. The restaurant is well equipped and a bar, breakfast and lunch as well as dinner are offered. In the meantime, there was a slight smell of burnt food in the restaurant. The food was good, but in terms of price/performance, the portions were kept quite small and otherwise quite simple, which I think can be excused for the relatively large selection. I had fried potatoes and scrambled eggs with bacon. The bacon was diced ham and the potatoes were partially burnt. There was bread with butter. No quark or anything similar was served with the potatoes and were therefore quite dry. I liked the egg.

We've been there several times to enjoy the beautiful summer evenings outside with a delicious drink. The selection of cocktails and drinks is large and they taste good. Went in for breakfast recently. The selection here is again good. Had the avocado egg toast and found it to be really tasty. Only the portion could have been a bit larger, especially not just 2 small pieces of toast. However, I still think the price-performance ratio is okay. The biggest point of criticism, however, is the operation. We experienced 4 different types of service during the entire time and only one gentleman was really nice. The others were just unfriendly or some kind of poorly made fake friendliness. There is definitely still room for improvement here!

We arrived from a long trip hungry and looking for a good place to have breakfast. We found this one. Place is cozy and has a good atmosphere. Server was really patient with us and attentive. My son’s order wasn’t served as he wanted and it was just a little bit of food. I’ve ordered avocado toast and the avocados were still green but everything else was really good. My daughter liked her food. Cappuccino was delicious!

Always delicious food, cozy atmosphere and good service. Another big plus: open WiFi - this was particularly important when I had no access at home due to disruptions and had to take part in an important seminar. I tried all the cafes in the area and this was the only cafe with access available.Thank you!

As a Saarlander, I come to Pfaffenhofen and also to Othello four times a year. I feel very comfortable there, great staff and atmosphere

We had a delicious lunch at Othello today. I can really recommend the lunch menu: cucumber salad, fish fillet with K-salad and vanilla cream. Unfortunately the dessert was too sour! The service was fine. I know there's a lot going on, but kindness is still part of it. Unfortunately, this was a bit neglected during my visit today. Nevertheless, I would like to come back because it was really tasty and great for the price!

Very varied, delicious weekly menu. The service is always attentive and friendly. Only recommended!

So the food is always amazing. Despite the stress, the service is friendly and clear. Always doable even with children. The atmosphere is modern. Always my pleasure.

We've actually been there many times. We were a little disappointed. The waitress wasn't very friendly and was very annoyed. We actually always remembered the staff as being very friendly. The appearance of the service wasn't particularly appealing either. I'm not actually petty, but I really don't have to wear sweatpants and an old T-shirt. You had the feeling that she had to take over a shift and had just gotten off the couch and wanted to go straight back there. Food was great and tasted as always.

Das beste von diesem Lokal ist die Location. Mitten in der Fußgängerzone, bei der Brunnen. Super für eine Pause mit Drinks und Sonne genießen. Essen finden wir mittelmäßig und leider sehr oft erleben wir hier unfreundliches Personal.

We wanted to redeem the voucher for 2 meals for 1 from the voucher book.... unfortunately this was not possible because there was a change of ownership at the turn of the year 2024 and I was told that the voucher for 2024 could no longer be redeemed... It's a shame that this wasn't communicated anywhere by the owner, nor is it visible on the homepage. The service was really, really friendly and of course can't do anything about this situation. Well, I still wanted to order the salad from the daily menu, which I had been looking forward to for a few days... the good news, it's already gone. Well, I didn't eat anything - the food of my two companions was good so far - I was told. There is a great, delicious salad in another restaurant in the evening. I fully understand that something can happen, but not communicating that vouchers that were issued for 2024 are no longer valid from the turn of the year 24 is more than suboptimal.

Apparently new owner since March. Nice place to stay, service was top, the currywurst with fries is amazing, very tasty, I'll be happy to come back.

Located in the middle of Pfaffenhofen, the Othello invites you to linger. The service is par excellence and the food and coffee taste great. However, there was no gustatory experience on my part beyond my previous expertise. A recommended restaurant!

A great restaurant, with everything your heart desires. I almost had a heart attack because of bankruptcy. That would be a shame. Please continue.

Essen immer wirklich gut. Service ist zwar immer sehr freundlich, wirkt aber oft etwas überfordert und ist nicht wirklich aufmerksam. Aber das kann je noch werden….

Sehr nettes Restaurant. Die Bedienung war sehr höflich. Wir konnten schnell bestellen und das Essen war auch recht schnell da. Ein paar vegetarische Gerichte sind auch dabei. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist in Ordnung. (: Das Ambiente am Hauptplatz ist ganz nett. (:

Top Service, sehr gutes Essen, haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Servus beinand, wollt die Freundlichkeit gestern um ca. 21.30 Uhr darstellen. Kam mit meinem Freund und Kindern & wollten was Essen. Küche war scho zua. Die Kellnerin war so aufmerksam und fragte noch in der Küche nach. Der Koch hat trotz Doppelschicht sich bereit erklärt noch unser Essen zu zubereiten. A Vergelt's Gott an Ihm und a Vergelt's Gott an die Kellnerin. Sich nach so vielen Stunden, noch so einen Service zu bieten. RESPEKT! Mein Tip, wenn so was noch zu haben ist, da muas des Untereinander im Unternehmen sauguad sein. Das Essen war frisch und lecker. Kann i nur empfehlen Gruß Bertl

Sehr schönes Ambiente und nette Bedienung.

Kommen so 1-2x im Jahr vorbei und sind bislang immer zufrieden gewesen. Personal ist freundlich, das Essen gut, was will man mehr. Reservierung vorab zu empfehlen.

Sehr quirlige Bedienungen, welche das ausgezeichnete Bestellte, sehr zeiitnah mit einem Lächeln im Gesicht servieren. 👌

Leckeres Essen, freundlicher Service, sonnige und schattige Plätze auf dem Platz vor dem Lokal laden zum Verweilen und genießen ein.

Heute mit Gutscheinbuch dort gegessen: Rumpsteak und Wiener Schnitzel. Sehr lecker und absolut empfehlenswert! Wir kommen wieder.

Waren hier am Ostersamstag mit 6 Personen. Service sehr freundlich, Essen super, Ambiente könnte noch bisserl gemütlicher sein, hat aber nicht gestört. Zentrale Lage. Parkplatz 5 min entfernt. Hat mir gut gefallen

Das Othello gehört seit vielen Jahren fest zum Hauptplatz in PAF. Besonders Mittags und zum Früstück empfiehlt sich ein Besuch hier. Zum Frühstücken ist es für meinen Geschmack die beste Adresse und die sehr soliden und schnellen Mittagsangebote auf Kantinenpreisniveau sind top. Einziges Manko sind die Raucher die nur hier aus mir nicht ersichtlichen Gründen immer den Zugang in Rauch hüllen müssen.

Das Essen war gut. Jedoch war die Bedienung leider sehr genervt und nicht freundlich. Schade. Es war gut gefüllt, daher dauerte es ein wenig, bis wir unser Essen hatten. Hochstühle für Kinder waren vorhanden. Die Toiletten waren einigermaßen sauber. Der Preis war ok.

Freue mich auf das nächste Mal! Wir waren mit unserem Enkelkind im Othello und waren hoch zufrieden. Unglaublich freundliches hilfsbereites Personal, für die auch Extrawünsche von Kindern sehr zuvorkommend berücksichtigt wurden, obwohl die Location sehr gut gefüllt war. Das Essen war sehr lecker und ich kann das Othello nur wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

Today I had a luncheon with a friend at Otello . I had not been there for over 2 years. It was lovely sitting indoors - we had the place nearly to ourselves. We had a goats cheese salad and House dressing, Spaghetti carbonara , Eistee and soft drinks. The meal was very tasty . We enjoyed our 2 hours there. Its Monday and very view restaurants are open in Pfaffenhofen-- we made a good choice.

Egal ob mittags oder abends. Wenn man innen sitzt, kann man sich kaum unterhalten. Es hallt so... Außen ist es nett. Wenn man Glück hat ist die Bedienung auf zack und freundlich. Wenn man einen schlechten Tag der Bedienung erwischt, genau das Gegenteil. Wechseldne Wochenkarten (auch To Go) und gute Gerichte.

Een mooie locatie op het plein naast een andere eetgelegenheid. Wij kwamen er voor een diner. De kaart is beperkt. Het eten was goed maar niet bijzonder. De rekening was in overeenstemming met de kwaliteit van het eten.
