Waiter extremely unfriendly. Tease us why there are only 10 people instead of 13 people. We explained to him that 3 more people were sick. This didn't interest him at all. His argument was that he was doing less business, even though there were only 3 tables occupied in the restaurant. The dessert also took 45 minutes until we got it. Unfortunately, this was not the only incident. Unfortunately, you are not welcome if only one of three people eats something and the others just want to order something to drink. I haven't been treated so badly in a long time. For me it was definitely the last visit to this restaurant.

An extraordinary discovery – Restaurant Insel 1 in Pfaffenhofen I have rarely been as positively surprised as when I visited the Insel 1 restaurant in Pfaffenhofen. At a time when excellent service and exceptional cuisine are becoming increasingly rare, this restaurant exceeded all my expectations. The service was exemplary from start to finish - attentive, warm and yet pleasantly reserved. As a guest you really feel welcome and well looked after here. I was particularly impressed by the quality of the food: every dish was a culinary experience, finely tuned and prepared with great attention to detail. The Italian cuisine here has an authenticity and sophistication that I didn't expect. To be honest, I thought that such high standards in gastronomy hardly existed anymore. Island 1 proves the opposite and is definitely worth a visit – for anyone who values ​​excellent service and exceptional cuisine.

I couldn't understand some of the bad reviews, but as of today I can understand these reviews very well. I enjoyed going to the restaurant regularly, but I have to say that today was the last time for me. I reserved a table on the terrace with my partner. When we arrived we felt like we had been forgotten. After waiting 10 minutes, a waiter took us to the terrace, where the tables had to be pushed apart. We were then squeezed between two tables. With the double stupid question as to whether the place was okay. When the food arrived after ordering, we were very happy and started eating. After two bites of my partner's spaghetti with mussels, he informed me that there was a dead fly buried under the noodles in his meal. I mentioned this to the bald-headed waiter, who then said, very annoyed, that it couldn't be from the kitchen because they have blue light there. He also said it must have happened outdoors. He then said that this was the first case in this direction. Through these statements, my partner was accused of having caught a fly, killed it and put it in his food. He then ordered a starter, which unfortunately wasn't good at all. When I paid, I was bitterly disappointed. I had to pay in full for the spaghetti, which we gave back with two bites less, and was told how I actually wanted to pay. I am very disappointed and as already mentioned it was my last visit there. It's a shame because the atmosphere is nice.

Probably the only restaurant in Pfaffenhofen (district) where you can eat gluten-free. Very tasty food, great service. A little more expensive - but it was worth it!

Delicious!! One of our favorite restaurants in the region :) the best pasta with truffle, pinsa and pizza. The place is very nice and the staff is super friendly. A must for Italian food if you visit PAF. It has a play area for children on the terrace.

Super great location and great restaurant. Playground right outside the door. We had been there for a long time and were surprised on a Friday evening that there were hardly any people there. Were received very unfriendly and then left quickly. It's a shame that the service is no longer what it used to be. Unfortunately, true hospitality looks different.

Update: I went to dinner with my wife on the island today for her birthday. The service was super nice. The food was ready super quickly and really tasty. I can also recommend the Mango Passion iced tea. I had to drink two today because they tasted so good. For dinner, my wife had tagliolini with truffles in a butter cream sauce and I had pizza Quattro Formaggi. Both dishes were a taste explosion. However, there is a star deduction because the prices are very high.

Very friendly welcome with an Italian accent, pleasant background music, Italian atmosphere and ultra-modern interior design. As you walk through the restaurant you will find a wonderful sun terrace with a view and behind it there is a playground within easy reach (ideal for families with children).

We wanted to have a nice evening with friends. When we ordered we were treated very rudely. We were followed to the toilet whether we were customers or not. In a tone that sucks. When paying, the waiter couldn't even say thank you and disappeared. Conclusion never again.

The atmosphere is becoming increasingly uncomfortable. Bright light only from the ceiling in some areas. Often inappropriate music that makes it difficult to have a pleasant conversation. The plants have been rationalized away so that the tables can be spaced closer again. The bartender is hardly there anymore either. The staff is rarely professional, especially the impossible Vincenzo, sometimes trying to be polite, but you have to ask for everything after you have to point out your request. In addition - we have observed this again and again - you are treated differently depending on what you wear. Short casual clothing leads to waiting times and the table in the back corner. Business casual is preferred. Despite reservations and free seats, Vincenzo, dressed in outdoor clothing, made us wait several times or seated us at the bar to eat when the restaurant was half full. The prices, which have always been high, have grown exorbitantly and no longer reflect the quality. At the moment it is only average again, Pinsa for example is sticky. The side salad, which has an average taste, is not even written on the menu so that the guest can choose from the few but expensive antipasti starting at 12 euros. Because of the location, we always give the island a chance. But for relaxed, cozy and authentic Italian food, we'd rather go somewhere else!

Feines italienisches Restaurant mit leckerem Essen und aufmerksamen und schnellen Service, dafür eine höhe Preis Kategorie. Sehr schöne und große Terrasse mit tollem Blick in die Natur in mitten der Stadt und einem Spielplatz gleich in der Nähe, wo sich die Kinder inzwischen austoben können und die Eltern Ihre Auszeit genießen können.

Excellent pizza, have always eaten very well

Das Restaurant und die Paar schließen laut Anhang um 24.00. Um 22.30 begannen die Kellner die Tische um uns herum mit Spray zu reinigen, um 23.00 wurde die Musik abgeschaltet und uns erklärt, dass sie jetzt schließen, weil ja keine Gäste mehr anwesend seien.

Opening hours are a disaster, during the week you can probably understand it, but on the weekend, when the weather is nice, in the summer, times like that 🤦🏻‍♂️.....so as a guest you don't have to wonder why the relatively good food is so bad is overpriced!

Chic stylish ambience, although very large, pleasant subdued atmosphere. Of the 5 pizzas we ordered, the edges of three were extremely burnt (black, inedible). The Pinsa was excellent, but I think €19.50 for a Pinsa Parma with a few thin slices of Parma ham is a bit excessive. When the waiter pointed out the burnt pizzas while clearing the plates (the inedible part was clearly on the plates), the only answer he got was “Yes, I saw it, but it was tasty, wasn’t it?” Not a word of apology, not even an offer for a coffee or anything else like you would expect in an upscale restaurant. Drink prices are also very high, but this is due to the ambience and the certainly high rent. You can only get a second drink if you ask the waiter. Everything tastes great, there is room for improvement in dealing with the (high-price) paying guest.

The best Italian I know. We didn't have a reservation and yet everything was made possible for us. Everyone radiates this typically spirited Italian. Absolutely loved by children. We had Bufalo Mozzarella as a starter, which melted in the mouth. The homemade bread would be given again when it was empty and the children said that they would live on the bread alone. The main course was a Pinsa Romana Bianca, asparagetti with shrimp island tortelli and a pizza salami, with a bottle of Pinot Blanc that was served exactly as it should be. The food is absolutely world class and definitely recommended. Taste explosion and everything perfect down to the smallest detail. Thanks see you next time.

Mein Freund und ich sind mindestens ein Mal im Monat in diesem Lokal und freuen uns jedes Mal wieder die netten Bedienungen zu sehen. Das Essen ist jedes Mal perfekt und das Lokal selbst sieht auch super aus. Würde gerne 10 Sterne geben, wenn das ginge. Kann das Restaurant nur empfehlen! 😍

Stylish and modern establishment, friendly Italian hosts, delicious food. The pizza is worth the money and is quick to prepare, even to take away (salad portions are smaller if you take it away). The food is also beautifully prepared. The menu (including drinks menu) is large and everyone will find something here. For example, there are also ready-made desserts to take away. The restaurant is very large and you can easily eat with 15 people at a long table. As a rule, there is always something free. This brings me to the only real disadvantage in my opinion and that is the “eating guests only” policy. The quiet location, the many tables and the beautiful terrace next to a park actually invite you to linger, but you only get a seat if you also order something to eat (regardless of whether there are seats available or not)... I think it's excessive, that people give it a 1 star rating but in my opinion a star deduction is definitely deserved.

Very nice Italian restaurant with fine dining, portion sizes that still leave room for dessert. Very courteous service in a pleasant atmosphere. We come back every now and then and have never regretted it.

The food was excellent, unfortunately the service wasn't that friendly

So I was there with my girlfriend on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. When we arrived at the entrance, the door was opened and we stood there and waited. When no one was in sight, we checked to see if there was anything available and the restaurant was only half full. When no one came, we went to a free seat, sat down, took off our jackets and waited. Then an angry bald man came and told us with a tone (bottom drawer) whether we had reserved. When we said no, he said that everything here was reserved Although there was no sign to be seen, let alone the tables were set for a reservation, he went one better, ripped our jackets off the chairs and said in a harsh tone that there was nothing available for us. Normally I don't speak loudly, but I don't care anymore. I don't know what the bald guy's function is in there, but friendliness doesn't cost anything. He could have kindly told us that everything was reserved, even though the place was only half full. Dear owner of the restaurant, just put a sign on the front door that says STAY STANDING and only for guests with reservations. So for me and my girlfriend it was the first and last time we visited the shed and I definitely won't recommend it to anyone. Dear bald man, why not take some training in friendliness? So I'm done!

Wirklich ein toller Italiener 👌

Wir sind schon mehrfach in der Insel essen gewesen und haben es uns gut gehen lassen. Auch diesmal waren Bedienung und Speisen sehr gut, aber der Preis dafür geht jetzt „durch die Decke“. Die Insel war schon immer etwas gehobener, aber diesmal hat sie abgehoben - 100€ für 2 Personen ist dann doch des guten zu viel. Ihr habt dadurch leider Gäste verloren - es gibt in PAF noch andere gute Lokale.

Francesco und Vincenzo verstehen ihr Handwerk und zaubern allen Gästen ein Lachen auf die Lippen! Das Essen schmeckt absolut hervorragend und das Ambiente in der Insel ist nicht zu toppen. Es ist sehr schade, das Gäste die nur was trinken möchten, sofort rausgeschmissen werden. Aber wie ich nun den Bewertungen entnehmen konnte, waren wir kein Einzelfall. Wir sind in ein kleines Lokal um die Ecke gegangen und wir hatten eine super freundliche Bedienung. Auch wenn ich in nächster Zeit Essen gehe, hier aus Prinzip nicht mehr. Wer so arrogant mit Gästen umgeht, der wird auf lange Sicht nicht bestehen. Denn es gibt kaum einen schnelleren und einfacheren Weg gutes Geld zu verdienen als mit Getränken: guter Aufschlag bei minimalem Aufwand. Aber: wer nicht will der hat schon Schade

Waren heute zum ersten und wahrscheinlich letzten Mal dort. Denn obwohl einige Servicemitarbeiter unterwegs sind, nimmt kaum einer Blickkontakt zu dir auf (einige, samt Oberkellner, schauen lieber privat aufs Handy). Bei der Bestellung wurden bewusst erst nur die Getränke aufgenommen, die auch einige Zeit brauchten. Bis wir unser Essen bestellen und es dann viel zu spät bei uns ankam, hatten wir schon ordentlich Hunger. Die Pinsa und die Pizzen sind top! Allerdings kam erst wieder ein Kellner, als alle Teller leer waren. Zwischendurch niemand und es wurde auch nicht gefragt, ob wir noch etwas wünschen. Bis wir endlich die Rechnung fordern konnten hat es wieder gedauert und auch dann ist der betreffende Kellner einige Mal an uns vorbei gegangen und hat uns geflissentlich ignoriert. Schade...außen hui und innen pfui!

Die Insel ist wirklich ein sehr schönes und modernes Restaurant. Das Essen ist wirklich hervorragend und auch der Service ist bisher immer hervorragend gewesen!

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Essen ist auch gut jedoch teilweise sehr kostspielig. Wurden leider schon mehrfach im Sommer abgelehnt für nur Drinks auf der Terrasse. Dies ist nur möglich, wenn man auch etwas zu Essen bestellt. Irgendwo verständlich, jedoch Schade, weil die Terrasse dafür im Sommer echt super ist.

Modernes, schönes & ruhiges Ambiente. Freundliche & aufmerksame Kellner. Die Pinsa und Pasta die wir hatten, waren sehr gut. Pizza to go gibt es woanders besser würde ich sagen, aber schmeckt trotzdem gut. Ist auf jeden Fall einen Besuch wert!

Ich war schon merere Male hier, sodass ich mir ein Urteil erlauben kann. Der Service ist sehr nett und das Ambiente schön wenn man den Hotel Lobby Look mag. Das Essen fand ich leider immer unterdurchschnittlich. Ein Gericht war so ungenießbar, dass ich es stehen lassen musste. Ich denke, wenn man gutes Essen schätzt gibt's bessere Lokale.
