Food was very good and price was ok

A definite recommendation. The food is fantastic, made with high-quality ingredients and prepared with attention to detail. We had the Thomas and Giamma pizzas. Both were fantastic. The ambiance is lovely, but cramped; without a reservation, you'll have to be lucky to get a seat. The chef is a passionate chef and host, and the waiters are diligent and friendly. The price is reasonable for the excellent food, and tips are readily available. A must for any visitor to Bad Sooden.

A cozy Italian restaurant with excellent food! Friendly and attentive service, making you feel welcome! The food is delicious, and even intolerances are 100% catered for! The owner is personally present and friendly, both with guests and his staff. A few minutes' walk from the RV park! We'll be happy to come back on our next visit to Bad Sooden-Allendorf!

A place to avoid ! We went for dinner one Sunday evening. All good ... good food . Till the point when the owner told us that if we are not eating any more we need to move to another table in order to make place for other guests. Very unpleasant experience ! You find really nice place across the street.

Great food, but we only got a table inside on the spur of the moment. But it was fine for us. However, we were seated right in front of the counter, so it was very cramped. It was incredibly hectic; the manager was constantly moving around, shouting at the kitchen staff. The service staff was a bit disorganized. Loud arguments about whether another table was reserved or not. Customers were sent from one table to another. In the end, they had to leave... And everything happened without us noticing. The food was delicious, hot, and good value for money. We'll try outside again next time.

Friendly service, not a long waiting time

I had a pizza to take away which was very good and can really be recommended.

Unfortunately, I can only comment on the chef's unfriendliness. We didn't even get to eat. We were seated at the "wrong" table twice, only to be sent away by the chef himself in such an unfriendly and arrogant manner, because the table shown to us was reserved. It was such a rude manner that the entire terrace was being shouted at. Disgraceful.

We originally just wanted to have a coffee here. But after seeing the menu and the food other guests were eating, we were keen to try something. We had pizza, tomato soup, scampi, and tiramisu. The food not only looked great, it tasted amazing too! 🫶🏻 My scampi were baked in a wonderful sauce – onions, garlic, chili, oil, probably white wine, and topped with a touch of Parmesan cheese. The tiramisu was different from what I make myself, not quite my taste, but still very good quality and beautifully presented. We sat outside, but the restaurant also looked very cozy inside. We'll definitely be back in the fall/winter. Apart from that, the service was very friendly, and the restrooms were clean. The restaurant is also beautifully located, just a few meters from the graduation tower.

I dined here on recommendation during an overnight stay at the nearby Pension Feldmann and was very satisfied. The food was truly delicious and plentiful, and good value for money. The tuna salad was tasty and well-balanced, and the pizza was well-topped and crispy. The service was friendly and attentive. If only it were like this everywhere… 🙏🏼

We visited the Osteria and Pizzeria Da Giama in Bad Sooden and were impressed in every way. You feel welcome as soon as you enter the restaurant – it's small but extremely cozy and tastefully decorated. There's a family atmosphere that immediately puts you at ease. The food was absolutely outstanding! From the appetizer to the pizza, everything was freshly prepared, perfectly seasoned, and of the highest quality. You can tell that the cooking here is done with love and passion. The pizzas are crispy, the toppings are plentiful, and the ingredients are very flavorful. We would particularly like to highlight the service: fast, attentive, and always friendly. You feel truly valued as a guest here. It's also wonderful to sit outside – the outdoor area is cozy and ideal for enjoying your meal in good weather. Our conclusion: A true highlight in Bad Sooden that we can recommend without reservation. If you're looking for good Italian food and warm hospitality, this is the place for you. Two reports: the first here from 2024, the second further down. With four adults and two teenagers. Everything was top-notch! Clean, clear, and tasty antipasti. From the seemingly easy-to-cook aglio oglio spaghetti (that's where the kitchen really shows what it's capable of) to pasta in a wonderfully bold lemon mint sauce with scampi to the meticulously aged rump steak. I've rarely experienced so much "pure Italy." A fine wine selection with unbeatable value for money. Thanks for the wonderful evening, especially to a charming, professional Italian waitress with typical Turin charm. We'd be happy to come back again! Second report: It's now 12 months later. TOP again. That was bella cucina italiana. Bruschetta to start with, superbly aromatic with just the right hint of garlic. Gamberoni al forno. Fantastic. You can't get more flavor and aroma than this. Spaghetti, "handmade" Bolognese, delicate flavor, long-simmered, even with bay leaves. Where else can you find so much culinary love? Pizza Calzone: no one sees anything beforehand. But the palate senses every nuance. Pizza Osteria: also a culinary delight with red onions and unobtrusive Gorgonzola. Service is extremely attentive. Chef = tipico. Everything is just right here. The prices are always reasonable! Almost forgot: wine, great value for money. Vermentino from Sardinia DOC. Smooth & fresh. Chilled, as it should be. Fairly priced at around €20.

Eating here is like a mini-vacation in Italy. Super delicious dishes, authentic and truly exceptional staff with Italian temperament :) This is a compliment. We were very well received, and shortly before the lunch break, we were able to order without feeling like it was a problem. The food arrived quickly and the service was very friendly. Grace Mille Reservations are recommended on sunny days, weekends, and in the evenings. The ambiance is cozy and functional. We'd be happy to come back. A presto!

After being seated by the friendly waiter, an unfriendly, somewhat older gentleman appeared and ranted that he couldn't be bothered anymore, as a reserved table was coming later...so we had to leave. But don't worry, we definitely won't be back, lest the gentleman get a pulse again! A definite no-go and therefore not really recommended...

Almost all the tables were free, and we were assigned a table. Before we could even sit down, a man came out of the restaurant and told the waitress that no one else was allowed to sit or order because a group was coming later and he didn't feel like it right now... Late Sunday afternoon in the middle of the city... Truly awful. That explains the "reserved" signs on every table! The one star is only for the sake of writing a review.

We were there a few days ago and unfortunately my experience wasn't very good. I had a pork steak and thought the portion was overpriced. The steak was much too small and unfortunately lacked flavor, too dry and not seasoned enough. The pizzas my friends and I had were very difficult to cut and didn't taste particularly great, but the pizzas were a good size. I'm sorry to write something like that below the good reviews but I'm very honest, especially in things like this, as I go to a lot of restaurants. Unfortunately, we won't be visiting again.

Even though we hadn't made a reservation and the restaurant was packed, we were offered a seat at the counter. Despite the many guests, everyone was very attentive. We decided on a pizza and didn't regret it, we haven't had such a good pizza for a long time.

If you don't want to drive all the way to Italy to eat an incredibly delicious pizza, you can go to the Osteria in Bad Sooden Allendorf! Our favorite🍕 is the 🍕 Giamma 🤤🤤 We love this pizzaria.

We go on vacation to Bad Sooden at least two to three times a year. 90 percent of the time we eat at the Osteria because, for me, it has the best rump steak in northern Hesse. Our great waitress Sarah is the best. Until next time inBSA.

I have rarely eaten such good Italian food in Germany. No matter which dish...it's all very tasty. The dishes are well coordinated, prepared to perfection and beautifully garnished. The service is quick and the food is delivered quickly. A reservation (especially on weekends) is a must, as there are few seats in the restaurant and it is usually full. In advance; The tables are pretty close together. Totally recommended. Good ingredients are important here. Great value for money. My favorite is the tiramisu. However, the last restaurant visit was in February 2024.

Had pizza, tasted very good, but I found the dough to be too thin, unfortunately it was very soggy in the middle. Service was great.

Be careful with mold in your food! We actually had mold in the parmesan! Ok, get new food, get new food. You can look past it. But when we (6 people) ALL had an upset stomach afterwards, the fun stopped. I will never eat here again!

Despite making a reservation by phone, there was a lot of stress, discussions, insults (kindergarten) and tables being pushed back before the five of us sat at a table for four. If we hadn't all been so excited for pizza that evening, we would have gone back. My meal only gets 2 stars because it was extremely greasy (champions gratinated with parmesan and pizza Thomas). Unfortunately no recommendation, but also no direct alternative in town if you're in the mood for pizza.

We had made a reservation, unfortunately the reservation was recorded incorrectly. So we left, which was a shame, and searched the area. Suddenly the owner of the restaurant came running after us across the lawn of the spa park. A guest had canceled his reservation. Totally nice! We also got the first round of drinks on the house. The food was delicious, the service was attentive, the dessert is also recommended, so everything was good. A lovely evening, thank you very much!

We spent a pleasant Saturday evening here with very tasty food. Price/performance top and recommended. The only drawback: we had a wheelchair driver in our group, which we also stated when ordering the table. Unfortunately we were given a table that was very sloping to one side. Not so nice. Therefore unfortunately only four stars.

A boss like you could wish for. Tolerant and super friendly (even under stress) and always with a pleasant saying on his lips. The food, no matter what it is, is very tasty and more than sufficient. It is advisable to reserve a table in advance, as its quality does not guarantee free seats.

An excellent restaurant, everything is great

Today was the second visit to the restaurant, previously satisfied. However, experienced unfriendly service today. The employee was moody when we tried to make a change to our order that wasn't on the menu. No questions asked to our satisfaction and quick dispatch. Unfortunately very disappointing and probably the last visit to the restaurant.

Mit Abstand der beste Italiener (echte) weit und breit. Super Flair, immer lecker, ob Pizza oder Pasta, freundliche Bedienung und das zum fairen Preis. PS. Nebenan ist auch gleich die Eisdiele, für das leckere Dessert.

Advertised online with opening hours until 9:30 p.m. - not served at 9:08 p.m. - kitchen closed... It would be helpful to communicate the correct opening times.

Simply disappointing. Yesterday the day before we went in and asked how long the restaurant was open and how long warm food was available. Answer: Open 10 p.m. and kitchen until 9 p.m. without any problems. Went there today at 8:40 p.m. Kitchen already closed. Just pizza. When asked why that is the case and why, since I specifically asked yesterday....: "because the boss isn't there today".... Wow.... That's an argument.... We then thought about it for a moment when we heard 'kitchen closed' in Italian from the open window onto the courtyard. Something like that doesn't work at all. The impression the days before was not bad when walking past because there is still an Italian in the town where there are still Italians on staff. But if I come with extra questions and then there's such a hectic process when the door says you're open until 10 p.m.... It's not possible. Put, grade 6.

The food tastes really good I can recommend it with a clear conscience

Unfortunately, the pizza cheese was a strong-smelling cheese (the taste was similar to Gorgonzola cheese), which in my opinion doesn't belong on a tomato-mozzarella pizza. Unfortunately, when we pointed this out, we were only laughed at. A new pizza was brought, but the taste was still the same. If you are sensitive to certain types of cheese. I can't recommend this pizza. I found the waitress's reaction completely incomprehensible. The message was: pizza is always made like this here. For this reason I only gave it 2 stars. In such cases, as a waiter you should definitely react differently. So we won't be coming back again.

We had a great evening with you, thank you very much! Just a note to anyone who orders spaghetti alio e olio with pepperoni: it was very spicy for us. With groans and pauses, bread and drink, the plate was finished:) Actually, we don't have any particular sensitivity to European spicy... Maybe write a note? The pizzas are really great. I particularly recommend the “Thomas” pizza, really delicious!!! The advance telephone reservation also worked quickly and easily. The staff is friendly and completely ok, but could be more attentive. The inside area is very small and you feel a bit “squeezed”, especially when it is full. The outdoor area, however, is very large. In the end, the food was great and that's the most important thing, we'll be back!

We were 3 spa guests who wanted to eat at the Osteria Pizzeria. After the delicious meal and paying €85, we were asked to leave the restaurant because the table had been booked. The landlord was very unfriendly. Never again !!!!

Ordered food not received after over 1 hour. Service unfriendly and arrogant. We then left the restaurant hungry. Management in this restaurant is 0.

We had a very tasty meal here. The food was first class from everyone who sat at the table. The only thing that initially spoiled the visit was the young service person who initially wanted to send us away. We then went in and a nice waiter put together the tables for the 7 of us. Thank you for that, we would be happy to come back and can highly recommend this restaurant. Keep it up.
