Always amazing food, excellent service and very friendly stuff. Besides that their cocktails are extremely good!

For me, Osterberger is almost like coming home. You are always enveloped in the friendly atmosphere and the wonderful ambience and can look forward to a wonderful evening. The cocktails are excellent, the wines are selected. The menu is pleasantly clear and seasonal. So far all the dishes have convinced me. So there is more than one reason to come back.

Surprised this was open on a saturday night. Food/Beef Was excellent as was the fish of the day. Great bartender who did a nice job crafting cocktails to our liking. Excellent food off the german map when you need a break.

We were there on May 25th. with friends for dinner there. After the MMW concert the evening before, the visit to Osterberger was a second highlight of our visit to Berlin. As Munich residents, we are spoiled with culinary delights and our expectations were absolutely met. The “cherry on the cake” were the excellent drinks (Pisco Sour!!). The evening became an extraordinary experience thanks to the authentic, personal manner of the two owners and their employees. We felt like we were at friends' homes.

One of the best steaks I had along with innovative and delicious starters. Beautiful ambiance and great service as well.

Ambitious cuisine with a French touch. Beautifully prepared plates, excellent wine recommendations from the very charming waitress for the main course. Small point of criticism: My entrecôte was a bit small and over-seasoned and the béarnaise sauce was quite cold. Anyone who cooks knows how difficult it is to get them warm on the plate. It's a shame that this highly recommended restaurant was so uncrowded on a Tuesday! Maybe that's because of the high prices?

We were there for a company event. It was a really nice evening with great food, great team and good drinks. It was a pleasure.

Large bright and clear space. Extremely friendly reception There were 8 people at the large table. Still the "old" map - but very diverse. Tartar with pickled egg and asparagus in tempura with wasabi mayo (vegan) are definitely recommended! The “crunchy/crunchy?” Eggplant not so much...if the service hadn't sold it as a surprise...it wouldn't have been chosen. Unfortunately disappointing - there is no value for money here. Still full marks because the other dishes were even tastier. Dessert portions could even be smaller - delicious! Great kitchen team! Extremely friendly service. Good wine (I was missing natural wine - well, maybe mainstream, especially in the corner - you can't have everything 😉) I'll be back 😀

Dear Osterberger, if you want your guests to have a good time with you, then - don't serve a mountain of raw leeks as a side dish (who wants to eat that?!?) - don't fry innocent eggplants in tempura so that they look like fried fish (the eye eats too) - don't put a huge bouquet of lilies in your vase or at least cut off the pistils - Your staff should familiarize themselves with the menu and the wine - offer your guests more comfortable chairs than these wooden bistro chairs Sorry, but that wasn't convincing.

We were in Berlin for a few days with my wife. Looking around at Michelin restaurants, compared to the UK the prices were double for much the same thing. So I looked on the Michelin guide and found this place. Service, food, ambiance and prices were all great. Food arguably tastier than actual Michelin food I've had.

We had the great pleasure of being with a group of wonderful people for the Family & Friends Dinner to get hold of a table that was elegantly and festively set for us. Starting with the invigorating welcome crémant, followed by an excellent foccacia, the tasty olives, a coq au vin in Burgundy braised with mushrooms and la ratte potatoes, with the best sauce I have tasted in a long time, for my vegan friends Very enjoyable dish with baked tofu with miso espuma, green asparagus and carrots, not only a wonderful sight for the eye, but also a taste explosion on the palate. It was wonderful. Accompanied by a glass of very good wine that was repeatedly filled without noticing - first white, then red, the dessert was a delight, and the accompanying music that gently filled the room in the background from the DJ lady, we had a wonderful evening. The acoustics, even though the restaurant was filled with interesting people and wonderful conversations filling the room, were also extremely good. The interior design with fine materials is stylish. The service and charm of Thorsten and Stefan, who more than pampered us, was not a unique experience. Because we'll be back. Fantastic modern restaurant with a very unique slant on the atmosphere and menu options. The a la carte menu looks amazing with a relatively small selection offering some classic French dishes that we will certainly be exploring at a later date. Prices are certainly within the higher end of the spectrum, even for Mitte, and they only take cards. We actually went for a rather more unique option, and they call this the 'Family & Friends Dinner' available intermittently, so keep an eye out on the website for the next one. Here, you book online (absolutely essential as they are full up on these evenings) and turn up at about 630pm, pay you very reasonable €65 per person up front and then take their constantly changing 2 course fixed menu with wine pairing and aperitif. We had the Coq au Vin in Burgunder wine with mushrooms and potatoes as a main (a vegan option is available, which was a nice touch), and this was simply sensational. I have had this dish, like most people, a lot over the years, and I can not remember having a better one anywhere. Service was exemplary, and everyone was very attentive, polite, and very friendly. Food finished being served at about 10pm, and on a side note I didn't have to ask once as my wine glass kept being filled up as if by magic which was very nice to see as these types of wine pairing restaurant evenings tend to be a little tight with the wine but not here, that's for sure! At about that time, a DJ started up, and this was time for the younger crowd to start to party. The music was never really intrusive, but I imagine it got a little louder once all of us oldies went home! Wine, both white and red Burgunders were really nice and went perfectly with the food. Dessert was a sorbet that more than matched the rest of the food as it was one of the best I have had in Berlin. Overall, it was an amazing experience that offered something a little different to the other top-tier restaurants in Mitte. Prices, apart from this fixed price menu, are certainly on the higher side, but you can not have any complaints given the quality on offer here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for fine dining with a twist!

Were at the Osterberger today, March 16, 2024. We wanted to test the restaurant in order to book a larger business meal. Nice welcome and individual opportunity to choose your spot. Menu clear but sufficient. Drinks menu very overloaded. The restaurant was almost empty at 6 p.m. Fast and friendly service. Ordered baked eggplant and cod. (The next guests were told that the cod was sold out. And we were the first guests that evening.) Non-alcoholic beer and the house lemonade. The fish was lukewarm for just under 40 euros and the amount of food was more of an appetizer. We were also not asked if we would like something to drink after our drinks were empty. It was probably because we hadn't ordered the expensive wine. The two managers were constantly bustling around in the restaurant and causing a lot of unrest. Arriving regular guests were greeted provocatively, so that all non-regular guests also noticed. CONCLUSION: The price-performance ratio for our food is definitely not right. Very fake mood on the part of the GF. If you like it, this is the right place. In any case, there won't be a second time for us.

Even though the restaurant was at most half full (on a Friday!) we had terribly bad service. The employees were inattentive and often not visible. We waited over an hour for the food (45 minutes was stated). The lamb was dry and tough and absolutely completely overpriced. It's a shame, but we will definitely avoid this place!

From the very warm/friendly welcome to the equally warm “goodbye”, everything was perfect.

It was our first time here at Osterberger and we felt warmly welcomed as soon as we arrived. The pleasant atmosphere and the very friendly and competent service gave us an idea that we were in the right place and would have a pleasant evening. And we were not disappointed. Regardless of whether it was a cocktail, starter, main course, dessert or wine recommendation, it was simply delicious and harmonious. We were particularly pleased about the diversity of the food on offer, which included both meat/fish and very tasty vegan delicacies. All of this is placed on a small, clear bistro menu at fair prices. We were completely satisfied and would like to come back.

Thank you Thorsten and team for the lovely evening! We had a blast and despite the small menu it was extremely hard to settle only for a few courses. I can highly recommend the lamb chops, the dumplings and the tuna (and I feel like basically everything else). Grund war das „Family&Friends Dinner“ im Januar, diesmal vegetarisch oder vegan. Da ich, man verzeihe mir meine Intoleranz, rein veganes Essen als zu ungesund sehe, nahm ich die vegetarische Variante (Für die Empörten: Sebastian Leges letzten Test veganer Wurstprodukte nachschauen, vorwiegend mineralölbasierte Chemie gibt veganen Produkten Geschmack und Struktur, Pfui). Was soll ich sagen, es war nicht mit meinem Vokabular zu beschreiben: Sensationell reicht daher aus. Solch ein Geschmackserlebnis hatte ich lange nicht. Der dazu (bis 22:30 auf lau) gereichte Weißwein passte ausgezeichnet. Erwähnenswert war auch das parallele Musikerlebnis. Die D-Jane zauberte eine tolle Stimmung die uns länger als geplant verweilen ließ. Beim nächsten Family&Friends Menü Ende Februar sind wir wieder dabei.

Das Osterberger - was soll ich sagen... das merkwürdige Wort "schwärmen" kommt mir in den Sinn - ruhig, unaufgeregt, dennoch stylish und gemütlich. Der Mix ist unwiderstehlich: Kühle und Wärme in der Einrichtung mit einer sehr guten Küche, phantastischen Weinen und dem für mich bislang nettesten Serviceteam der Stadt. Die Menschen hier haben einfach Spaß an dem, was sie tun und man fühlt sich willkommen und entschleunigt. Es ist immer Zeit für ein kleines Gespräch und man möchte fast nicht mehr gehen... Ihr habt - zumindest für uns - die Messlatte sehr hoch gelegt für unsere weitere monatliche kulinarische Reise durch die tollsten Berliner Restaurants.

Ich habe für 5 Kolleg:innen auf Geschäftsreise ein Abendessen im Osterberger gebucht und am nächsten Tag haben mich 3 davon kontaktiert und ein begeistertes Feedback gegeben... Das nenne ich einen durchschlagenden Erfolg. VIELEN DANK!

Sehr netter wenn auch nicht perfekter Service. Essen von hoher Qualität. Preise gehoben aber noch angemessen.

An einem Samstagabend sollte auf jeden Fall reserviert werden. Ab 19.30 Uhr war nahezu jeder Tisch besetzt. Wir wurden nett empfangen, Jacken gleich abgenommen. Das Ambiente ist sehr ruhig, auch wenn es voll ist. Mir persönlich ist es schon fast zu minimalistisch eingerichtet. Doch so wirkt es natürlich sehr klar. Die Speisekarte ist klein gehalten, so dass auch alles frisch ist. Und das Essen ist super. Geschmacklich ganz hervorragend. Meine Gänsekeule mit 2 Klößen und Rotkohl war auch groß. Der Fisch des Tages sowie Hirsch hätte etwas mehr Beilage sein können. Das Dessert ebenfalls super. Und alles sehr fein angerichtet. Es kommt ein sehr entschleunigendes Gefühl auf, da nicht gleich die Bestellung aufgenommen wird. Man kann ganz in Ruhe ankommen. Und auch das Essen braucht etwas Zeit. Also nichts für Eilige. Preislich liegt eine Hauptspeise bei ca. 35€. Parkplätze muss man in den Seitenstraßen drumherum Suche.

Wir waren zu einem Geschäftsessen da. Toller Service, super Essen, leckeres Bier und ein super Wein als Begleitung. Hatte den Tatar und die offene Lasagne, sehr, sehr gut. Preis-Leistung ist auch hervorragend.

We came here for our anniversary dinner and were not disappointed! Vibe: Stylish and comfy furniture with abseperate restaurant and bistro area. Some space between the tables gives this restaurant a „hidden gem“ vibe. Most patrons were in their 30s and 40s Staff: Very attentive staff with great knowledge of the menu. They are definitely pros and helped us decide on a starter, main course and shared dessert. Food: To die for! We had the goat cheese as a starter, for the main course my s/o had the fish of the day and I had a steak (not pictured) which was cooked exactly like ordered and then we had the chocolate mousse for dessert. It was a great night and we’ll surely be back!

Sehr schöner Abend und sehr angenehme Atmosphäre! Service sehr professionell und aufmerksam, zugleich locker. Preise schon gehoben, aber auch fast alles in sehr hoher Qualität. Nur die Moules et Frites waren nicht ganz so überzeugend... Also vielleicht besser an die Karte halten (wobei auch eins der Tagesgerichte hervorragend war). Musik-Beschallung brauchten wir eigentlikch nicht, aber es hat auch nicht gestört (gute Auswahl). Insgesamt also absolut empfehlenswert und ein Lokal, was sich angenehm abhebt von den vielen 08/15-Angeboten der Umgebung (die auch mal ok sein können, aber eben nicht das bieten, was man hier atmosphärisch und von der Qualität her bekommt). Weine und auch der Rum nach dem Essen waren ebenfalls richtig gut!

Gestern im Osterberger: ein sehr herzlicher Empfang und eine warme entspannte Atmosphäre. Hervorragendes Essen, wir hatten Chicorre gegrillt und danach das rosa gebratene Lamm. Es war köstlich, der Wein dazu hat perfekt gepasst. Tolle Gastgeber, wir kommen wieder! Was will man mehr an einem grauen Abend in Berlin? 5 Sterne plus!

Good quiet location looking at green and service is very friendly, for that I wish to give higher score but the food is so mediocre and overpriced. It is really a shame because if the food is good we will definitely go back. Starters are ok but nothing special, and the mussels we had were a bit blunt (I prefer good mussels instead of quantity) and the fries are too greasy. We did not try other dishes and some starters offer main course portion, so we just had a bad luck. We had a good time but I just cannot go back for the food and price. Sorry!

Had cucumber soup and mussels. Soup wasn't a wow'er but a perfect late summer refresher. There was an R in the month so went for the mussels, good flavour but lacked punch in the seasoning department. Accompanying frites were soggy and underwhelming. Service was super pleasant and charming but a little chaotic. Nice ambience with pleasant al fresco dining. I wouldn't go back tho because €24 for a (albeit bountiful) plate of mussels is just plain silly.

Ha. Hätte ich geahnt, dass Elisabeth Binder erst nach mir da war, hätte ich mich mit meinem Feeback doch etwas mehr beeilt. Denn schreiben wollte ich unbedingt. Nur: Eigentlich gehe ich zweimal in Lokale, bevor ich eine Kritik schreibe. Das klappt freilich nicht immer. Und: Uneigentlich war das Osterberger eine der erfreulichsten Entdeckungen seit langem, ausgerechnet in Mitte, und wirklich aus Versehen (ich wollte "eigentlich" in die Villa Elisabeth, hatte mich aber im Datum vertan). Dann sah ich: ein neues Gebäude, eine sonnige, ruhige Straßenterrasse abseits der geschäftigen Invalidenstraße, weiße Tischdecken und - eine verführerische Speisekarte. Das nächste Wunder: Auch als Walk-In (der Tagesspiegel war ja noch nicht da) bekam ich draußen einen schönen Platz. Nach mir, auch das ein Extra-Punkt, kam eine Gruppe englischsprachiger Touristen, drei Paare mit Kleinkindern - auch diese wurden ohne Drumherum platziert. Wie schön! Hungrig war ich ja nicht, eher neugierig. Also hatte ich die Qual der Wahl von einer kleinen, feinen, saisonal frischen und lokalen Speisekarte. Zum Auftakt versuchte ich einen gebeizten Lachs, der so zart war, das er auf der Zunge schmolz, und als Hauptspeise ein Pfifferling-Risotto: Beides - see my pics - war eine absolute Augenweide und eine kulinarische Delikatesse sowieso. Das Risotto ließ ich mir zu Hälfte einpacken (ich war ja nicht hungrig - auch hierfür complimenti an as Lokal!) Ich konnte es am nächsten Tag nochmal genießen. Zum Dessert ließ ich mich auf die im Tagesspiegel nachgerade euphorisch beschriebene Brombeermousse ein - mit eher mixed feelings. Ausgerechnet die Brombeermousse schmeckte - meine Meinung - uninspiriert, geradezu fad. Oder war die Mousse einfach überlagert von den säuerlichen Genüssen des Yozu-Sorbets, der aromatisch-transparenten Gin-Gel-Tropfen? Das kann der Küchenkünstler aber auch nicht gewollte haben. Oder? Ästhetisch war das Osterberger Erlebnis allemal. Nur eben die Gaumen möchten auch gern durchgehend mitfeiern. Will I be back? Ja, sicher. Und auch gezielt, ohne Villa Elisabeth Anlass. Ich bin gespannt. Die Karte wird ständig aktualisiert und die Osterberger experimentieren.

Ein toll gestaltetes Restaurant mit sehr aufmerksamen Service. Das Essen ist hervorragend und die Portionen nicht wie in manchen Bewertungen beschrieben zu klein. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt und werden beim nächsten Berlin-Trip wieder hier aufschlagen. Der Espresso Martini ist besonders zu empfehlen

Das Osterberger braucht den Vergleich mit anderen gehobenen Küchen nicht zu scheuen: Regionale hochwertige Produkte liebevoll verarbeitet. Einfach lecker. Das Osterberger-Team ist freundlich und super aufmerksam.

Das Essen war wieder sehr lecker, der Service umsichtig und liebevoll. Bei jedem Berlinbesuch ein fester Bestandteil des Programms.

Had a wonderful family dinner here in July. Started with the steak tartare and enjoyed mains of lamb and the sous vide roast beef and sides. Everything was prepared perfectly and good value for the cost. Very good wine menu and wonderful service. Really recommend this restaurant.

Positive Punkte: Viele lokale Zutaten und gute Weinauswahl. Sonst leider sehr enttäuschend, angespanntes Personal, Düsseldorf Ambiente (gewollt schick/teuer, aber ohne sicheren Stil), Karte geht in alle Richtungen - auch da keine klare Linie - zu hohe Preise für kleine Portionen. Schade, denn die Lage des Lokals ist cool.

Absolute Spitze! Sehr guter Spargel mit Nussbutter, Rinderfilet a point. Steak Tartare sehr lecker. Nudeln mit Tomatensauce für Kinder ein Traum. Toller Hauswein. Extrem netter Service! Vielen Dank

Really nice food and wine. Great place in the heart of Berlin. You have to try mussels with French fries - absolute great dish. And the wine was also super lovely. Try it.

Qualität hat seinen Preis. Sehr leckeres Essen mit einer guten Flasche Wein. Etwas noisy aufgrund eines Geburtstags. Der Apfel Crump war mega lecker und das Entrecôte mit Pommes nice gewürzt. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung wert.

Preis / Leistung nicht stimmig. Von 3 Gängen war nur der Hauptgang erfreulich. Die Vorspeise war winzig und das Dessert mit 14 Euro überteuert ( hat auch niemanden interessiert, dass ich die Hälfte davon nicht gegessen habe) .
