We ordered a wide variety of dim sum, and everything was delicious. (With one exception: the steamed cake looked fantastic—traditional and fresh—but unfortunately, it just didn't taste good.) The service was excellent. We also really appreciated being able to order directly via tablet/QR code on our phones, which allowed us to keep track of our order. We ordered several times, and each time the dishes arrived quickly. Empty dishes were cleared regularly. The staff was attentive and very friendly with children. We'll definitely be back!

My friend was going back to China and specifically chose a Chinese restaurant, but was speechless about the service. They were obsequious to foreigners but arrogant towards fellow Chinese, never giving a friendly look the entire time. The food tasted like home, but the attitude was colder than the local chill. This meal even distorted my homesickness.

His clay pot rice is a must-order every time

I have been visiting this place regular over the last 4 years but unfortunately the food quality has now dropped. Possibly the chef changed?? Even the most common dim sum: A Siew Mai tastes and looks different. Personally it feels that the place has lost it’s authentic flavours 27 October update: I do really appreciate the response provided. One unpleasant experience won’t does not override other prior experiences that were very pleasant. Personally I will still give it the benefit of the doubt and visit again the next time :)

This is my third time at this restaurant. The first time I experienced the boss and waiters being very rude, but very nice to foreigners. It was crowded at night and took an hour to wait for a plate of pork with preserved vegetables. 🙂 I asked them what their attitude was, and I was disqualified from eating without even a bite. I won't be back.

One of the waitresses was extremely rude and took our plates away while we were still eating and cleared away the food we had paid for. She was not at all likeable and arrogant, and while we were still eating she blew out the candle under our food and at the same time left her saliva on it. Very unhygienic and unfriendly. The food was not authentic at all and was either far too salty or tasteless. The price was also too expensive for the small portions and the quality of the food. When you consider that they cleared our plates away after 30 minutes because they hadn't planned well enough and now had other customers. We couldn't even relax and eat our food there and have a relaxing evening. I really don't recommend it at all.

2 stars only for Una's disappointing service. My friends and I were in Munich for a trip. And we were really intrigued by this restaurant. Before going, we even called to check availability and reserve seats. But when we arrived, a lady greeted us in a super RUDE and ARROGANT manner. At the entrance, not even the slightest smile, with her bored face, she asked us if we had a reservation. We said yes. In any case, the restaurant was empty at the time. She "led" us around without telling us where to sit. When we saw the table, we approached to sit. Before we could put our bags on the chair, this lady yelled at us, "Let me have a lot!!!" almost shouting, and then turned and left. Then an older lady approached us and we complained about the service. Luckily, from then on, the older lady served us, who even apologized to her colleague for her rudeness. Good food, quiet environment, I just hope that if the staff doesn't know how to do their job

We are very disappointed. We were guided by the reviews. Unfortunately, the food was completely tasteless, and the value for money was not at all appropriate. The staff was uncommunicative. The waitress brought us the wrong bill, which we paid. She later realized the mistake and wanted to refund the difference, but claimed that the difference between 112 and 95 was seven, and refused to explain that it was seventeen. A very disappointing visit.

Unfortunately, our experience with hospitality wasn't good. The restaurant looks very chic, but we can't really give it a positive rating. We had called ahead of time and asked if dogs were allowed. This was confirmed over the phone. When we arrived with our dogs (three adults and a medium-sized puppy), who are absolutely restaurant-savvy and quiet, we were suddenly told they didn't have room for "so many dogs." Our dogs always lie quietly under the table and behave inconspicuously. Unfortunately, we were simply left standing there after that and ignored. There was no response to our questions. It's a real shame – we were really looking forward to the visit and would certainly have been pleasant guests.

As a Cantonese I come here when I have homesick despite its remote location. But unfortunately I get more and more disappointed each time. The last time we (3ppl) asked for the 3rd portion of rice (the 3rd one was barely touched). After paying, I asked for the receipt and found the 3rd portion of rice was charged. It’s ok to charge for rice, if the customers were notified clearly before ordering. But the waitress didn’t say anything and I wouldn’t even know if I didn’t ask for the receipt.

Delicious restaurant with specialties from southern China. The staff is very friendly and quick. The restaurant is the only restaurant in Munich that I know that serves authentic DIm sum. Everything is homemade and not bought directly from the supermarket like many other restaurants. Highly recommended

I've been a fan of oriental cuisine for as long as I can remember. But I've never eaten as fantastically as I did here. Even hours later, I'm deeply impressed and speechless. I'm from the Hanover region and will be here until Sunday. I'll definitely eat here again tomorrow. And I'd be willing to drive another 600 km just for that...

Very authentic Cantonese cuisine; the dim sum, char siu, grilled duck, etc. are excellent. The four of us had 10 dishes, and all were very good. It's hard to find anything better in Hong Kong, but the price is several times higher there. The serving order is typically Chinese: you order what's ready... In addition to the fairly good selection of Cantonese classics on the menu, there's also a weekly specials menu with crab, goose, etc.

The first impression is crucial: very friendly staff. The restaurant owner has over 20 years of experience in Cantonese specialties. The menu features around 40 typical steamed and fried dim sum dishes. I find dim sum very delicious when used according to the original recipe. For the main course, we ordered rice noodles with beef, which is my favorite dish. We treated ourselves to it.

My 5th time here! The food was not that crazily delicious as I remembered but still tastes good. My favourite place for Dimsum 💖

Dimsum was okay, it was better last time. Maybe they changed cooks? Idk. But what really got me disappointed was we pre-ordered the pork belly, and when we got it, we wished that we didn’t instead. It was worth almost 30€. I was expecting a certain flavour as they said it was needed to be prepared 2days prior, but it was just salty and nothing else. Photo and videos below. The atmosphere was so intense when we went. Not sure if he‘s the owner, but one of the staff broke a glass or something, and you could feel the tension from that man. It was so uncomfortable. Instead of finishing our meal, we had it packed instead since we were seated near the entrance. We paid 100€ for these. Not included on the photos are our drinks, water and lemon iced tea.

We went to the Oriental Hong Kong Kitchen in Karlsfeld – unfortunately, it was anything but authentic Chinese cuisine. Perhaps a new chef? The original quality of the food is sadly a thing of the past. We ordered three different dishes, each one prepared with less care than the last. The meat: tough, hard, and simply inedible. Although our complaint was politely received, we still had to pay for all three inedible dishes – the only "compensation" we received was a shot of schnapps. We then satisfied our hunger at the Italian restaurant. Unfortunately, it's not what it used to be.

If you're looking for authentic Hong Kong food, this is the place to go. The dishes are very good, and the wide selection caters to every taste. The service is prompt and very courteous. Reservations are recommended on weekends, as the restaurant is always busy. The value for money is more than acceptable.

Very well-kept restaurant. We had a comfortable seat, and even though the restaurant was full, we felt like we were in peace and quiet. The staff were always available and very friendly. The food was authentic and truly an experience. We'll definitely be coming back more often.

Was there last Friday for an early dinner. The restaurant was sparsely populated - we were shown to a table by the waiter. In the far corner - we then moved ourselves - but the waiter rather rudely pointed out to us that this was not possible. But we were allowed to stay seated. Order taken - drinks wait 10 minutes. Instead of tonic, we got bitter lemon. Food wait - 1 hour!!! The food was okay but not what you would expect for the price. Unfortunately, the very unfriendly service spoiled the still passable ambience. I will not be visiting this restaurant again and will not recommend it to anyone! They also charge for the takeaway boxes - which I personally find absolutely cheeky. A little side note - hospitality is not difficult to learn - it only costs you a smile!

The roast duck is worth a try, the crispy skin with green onions is a nostalgic taste. But the duck skin must be eaten quickly or it will become soft. The fried shrimp dumplings are well controlled and not too greasy. The fish dumplings are also worth mentioning, with rich fillings and a prominent chive aroma. The fried dough is a good choice for those who like the aroma of glutinous rice, but it is very filling, so it is not recommended for small stomachs. The rice noodles are remarkable, the noodles are moderately soft and hard, and the braised beef filling is not too salty or sweet, just right with sweet soy sauce. The biggest failure is the dry fried beef noodles, the rice noodles are hard, and it is completely hard to chew like eating rubber, while the beef is overcooked. This hastily made dish completely ruined the good experience of the previous dim sum.... Very deductible. The price is high, a dim sum is about 10€ but the portion is small. The service is thoughtful and fast, and the ventilation needs to be improved. There is obvious oil smoke on my body after eating.

The good thing is that you can tell it's freshly made, but the quality is so inconsistent! The dim sum is OK, but the seasoning is not done well. The clams are sandy and some bell peppers are sour, and the black bean seasoning is over-seasoned; the milk and sugar in the milk tea and lemon tea are randomly added and not mixed well; in addition, the most unacceptable thing is that the rice is half-cooked... the worst rice I have eaten in Germany. I hope they can pay more attention to the production of the dishes. It feels like the boss wants to make traditional Cantonese cuisine, but he can't support it and feels powerless...

A very good restaurant in Karlsfeld. The dim sum here is fresh, homemade, and there's a wide selection. It's not your run-of-the-mill dim sum. You can take your time to choose. The service is fast and friendly. The dishes could be served a little more simultaneously. The ambiance is okay, with lots of wood.

Yesterday we went to our favorite restaurant again – the food was, as always, delicious. Many thanks to the chefs!

Very good food. Service is very quick. Neat and clean. Dogs are allowed, American Express unfortunately is not and it is wheelchair accessible.

There were 5 of us and we had a round table. The excellent food came to the table very hot and we were able to try all the dishes by rotating the disk. Rice was refilled without asking. The total bill was divided by 5. An absolutely wonderful evening.

One dish wasn't salty, the others were pretty bad. Too bad for the price. And when it says spring rolls, you should expect to get more than one.

Authentic Dim Sum! Great place to eat authentic Hong Kong food. We had Dim Sum which was delicious and a bit of Duck and Pork Belly. Also the fried veggie noodles were tasty with that smoky wok flavour! Service was friendly. Would recommend to reserve a table on the weekend, it can get quite full. Restaurant was recommended by a Hong Kong friend, i think that speaks for itself.

I was at the Hong Kong Kitchen restaurant in Karlsfeld today and I was absolutely thrilled! I felt at home as soon as I entered the restaurant - the atmosphere is pleasant and inviting. The food was simply outstanding! I was particularly impressed by the soup and the spring rolls - fresh, tasty and perfectly prepared. The crispy duck with vegetables was also a real highlight, nice and crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. You can tell that people cook and serve here with passion. I'll definitely be back and can highly recommend the restaurant!

Super delicious food. Very good dumplings. Duck was very tasty and juicy as well as crispy. The vegetarian dish was also really tasty. It's certainly not cheap in terms of price. 4 people with drinks without alcohol and without dessert a good €100. Gladly again because of the taste!

Me and my girlfriend traveled yesterday from Bad Aibling back home and decided to stop and eat here. We ordered noodle soup and beef. After finish eating, i started to feel very bad , had diarehaa and still had to drive 3 hours. We arrived safe home and hell broke : fever, vomit and diarehaa. Conclusion : check your meet before serving. Never going to eat here again.

Real insider tip! The Xiao Long Bao (D7) are handmade and legendaryally delicious. The best I've eaten in Munich so far. The Peking Duck is too addictive! Food original like in Hong Kong! Definitely a risk of repetition!

A Chinese friend showed me this place and I was super happy!! I lived in Shenzhen (opposite of Hong Kong) for years, and I can say the food is original and excellent!! We had “morning tea” this time, but I will definitely try the dinner next time. Highly recommended!!

While they specialize in dim sum, they also offer a variety of regular Chinese dishes. Every dim sum dish we tried was well-executed and delicious. The siu mai were juicy and bursting with flavor, while the chee cheong fan were delicate, with a silky texture and a soy sauce that had just the right hint of sweetness. There were only two slight disappointments: The Xiao Long Bao (Shanghai soup dumplings) arrived burst open, losing the flavorful broth that makes them special. The Peking duck had crispy skin and tender meat, but it contained too many bones, making it difficult to enjoy in the traditional pancakes. That said, the service was friendly and efficient, and the tablet ordering system made the process smooth and hassle-free. Prices are fair, reflecting the quality and craftsmanship behind the dishes. Overall, a great spot for authentic, tasty dim sum. Looking forward to coming back and trying more of their regular Chinese dishes as well!

Spent Chinese New Year here with my family. Unfortunately it was a total mistake. Extremely disappointing new year special dishes, despite fine normal dishes. Plus: unfriendly service, trying to teach you how to act like if you are happy although you are not. I was a regular customer here. But i will never return again

Went there again for dinner with a friend. Neither of us was that hungry and wanted to take half of it with us. Apparently it wasn't understood and the food was obviously thrown away. No suggestion for a solution was made either. Just an unreliable excuse. Next time I'll just burn my money. Comes out the same. Really very disappointing.

Best Chinese with amazing authentic Dim Sum home made and best Peking Duck

It's a really cozy restaurant with friendly service. The selection of dishes is very large and it can take a while to decide, but thanks to the nice waitress there was the perfect solution. Pen and paper so that we can write down what we want and don't forget anything when she comes back, yes there were five of us, something will come together. There was a small minus point for the fact that the starters didn't come at the same time. For example, two arrived immediately after ordering, while the last one probably had to wait another good 15 minutes. And then they came almost at the same time as the main courses. But the food was very good and fresh. Chinese food often has a lot of artificial glutamate, but that's not the case here. Unfortunately no photo of the main courses, they were so good that we didn't think about taking photos.

The only spot around Munich where I can get authentic tasting HK/Cantonese style dim sum whenever I get the craving for a taste of home! Pricey but worth it to satisfy my craving. I would love to try their regular meal dishes too as I see a lot of dishes are what I grew up eating back home and cannot find anywhere else in Munich 🥹. The only downside is that it's located on the outskirts of Munich.

The quality of the food is not as expected. Especially, the fried rice which only has two shrimps…. Not recommended. Except for the barbecued pork buns and shrimp dumplings which are pretty good, the other fish and chicken soups, including glutinous rice chicken, mala cake... are all average, especially... the chicken and shrimp fried rice is all chicken and only has two shrimps... Such a big bowl of rice costs 18 euros. It’s really a dish that sticks to the bottom line...

What a disappointing dining experience. I have lived in Munich for more than ten years and have never encountered such a service attitude. I took my children with me and invited friends to have roast duck and New Year's Eve dinner. Last Sunday we brought our friends for lunch cuz we were there before and thought it was a decent Cantonese restaurant. But it turned out to be an extremely unpleasant experience as one waitress (middle age with black glasses) was extremely rude with us. While we were trying to decide what to get, she came to us several times, telling us that we were taking too long, that we had to hurry up. By the end of our meal, seeing that we have not finished our food yet, she came several times again and complained that we were taking too long. This is not acceptable. I will not recommend this place anymore.

A great Chinese restaurant with plenty of seating and a bustling atmosphere. When we visited, it was very crowded, but luckily, we managed to get a table without a booking. Overall, the food was enjoyable. While the dim sum wasn’t the best I’ve had in Germany, it was still good enough to satisfy. What truly stood out for me was the Beijing roasted duck. As one of my favorite dishes, I’ve often struggled to find a place in Germany that matches my standard. This restaurant nailed it—the duck was perfectly roasted with a crispy skin and flavorful meat, just like the authentic version I enjoyed in China. If you’re a fan of Beijing roasted duck, this is definitely the place to go.

Food was very good, but I don't expect a breaded (crumb) chicken schnitzel cut into strips with the baked chicken in sweet and sour sauce. I usually know it in batter.

The hectic calmed down when we realized that we wanted to enjoy the meal without any time pressure. The authentic food was excellent, even if not all dishes met the (German?) taste (subjectively fish, scallops were rather under-seasoned). We are really looking forward to your next visit! !!! In the entrance area, after a long wait, we were loudly shouted from behind the counter across the restaurant to follow us to the table. The perceived reservation was apparently not confirmed on the booking portal and is classified there as “cancelled”. For this reason, another reservation for a business meal at another restaurant was canceled. The time required for this correction - unnecessary! After the rather rude seating assignment with two menus for four people, the drinks and food orders with six starters and four main courses were taken after about 15 minutes. The restaurant was at best 70% full of guests. The starters came quickly and one after the other as requested were served before the drinks! While the starters were being consumed, the first main courses were served very quickly. When the last main courses were served, the lack of rice was noticed (with a note) and the table was served unusually quickly with a pot of rice. The relatively boring, barely seasoned main courses were at times lukewarm to cold. For some unknown reason, a second container of rice was served in between?! Here we had the opportunity to order the drinks we needed. The new wait time does not need to be carried out any further. A "blackhead" had to be content with a drink + spirits before leaving for 2 hours, 15 minutes! The additional noise pollution caused by numerous fallen dishes and glasses was very reminiscent of a hen party! After these experiences, I will immediately revise the recommendations to friends and acquaintances! With such quality deficiencies or fluctuations in service and food quality, another visit is no longer an option for me. Conclusion: An expensive bad investment in all respects!
