Orient Express in Erding

I was there during the week, very quiet atmosphere, great food, what more could you want. My recommendation is the mixed grill plate and don't be put off by the price. Thank you also for the warm welcome.

I'm happy to pay €9 for a Dürüm with veal, provided the quality is right! Unfortunately, this restaurant is becoming increasingly less popular. It used to be really good but now you get strange, tasteless and gristly meat with sauces that I, as a kebab lover, couldn't even identify! It's a shame otherwise I don't know of any kebab in Erding that offers veal 🤷‍♂️

One of the best Turkish restaurants of the greater Munich area. The dönner doesn't taste like the usual you get around a.k.a. full of the same spices. It also has a mangal and izgara. Prices, quality and quantity are very fair indeed. The people very friendly etc. 5/5

A bit like a holiday in Turkey, very fresh and tasty. The ambience is a bit cafeteria-like, but I personally don't mind it.

We were there spontaneously during the week at 9.30 p.m. The restaurant was already quite empty and the staff had already started cleaning up. When asked, they said that there would of course be something to eat. We then got smart and received friendly advice. To be honest, I have to say that at first I didn't think the grill plate for around €23 in a self-service restaurant was cheap. The portion and the taste fully justify the price. The meat is fried just right and very well seasoned. The side dishes are also delicious. The staff is friendly and accommodating. The ambience is a matter of taste, modern and rather not cozy, it doesn't invite you to stay for a long time. Oh yes, the mocha is delicious. We'll be back

I haven't been there for a long time because of the rude employees. But I wanted to check again to see if anything had changed. I've been there twice now and ordered kebabs from different employees. Both were a joke... far too little content and hardly any meat!!! If you say something then you only get disrespectful answers and I actually just want to eat what I ordered without any stress. And the right amount. You can't leave a kebab hungry because it didn't have enough content. Sometimes I think that this store doesn't have proper management. Wasted potential if you look on YouTube at what great kebabs there are in Munich, for example. The fact that the employees smoke in front of the door is also very unpleasant and unprofessional. Hopefully everyone washes their hands with their nicotine flag afterwards. Employees should always smoke behind the house and not blow nicotine smoke into guests' faces in front of the door as a welcome greeting. The employees should concentrate on ensuring that the kebab is made properly and that you get fresh fries and not fries that have been left standing for a long time or that have been fried several times. But the most beautiful kebabs are made by yourself

It's a great venue. The food is delicious and there is plenty of variety.

I came based on a recommendation and was really disappointed. I have never eaten such a bad kebab and such a bad lahmacun. The service also leaves a lot to be desired. There won't be a second time!

I regularly eat at Orient Express or take something home with me. Good quality and good taste. From kebab, dürüm, lahmacun to the grill plate, I never had anything to complain about. You can also have the grill plate put together individually, and special requests were always fulfilled (as far as possible). The pide is homemade… very tasty! and if you're lucky and it comes fresh out of the oven = MEGA! The service, the employees are always friendly even when things are stressful! The tiramisu is very tasty and almost always sold out… I’m not surprised! Yes, the ambience could be a bit more oriental for me... it's functional. Prices have risen everywhere, including here. It would be good if you could easily see the prices for food, drinks and sweets. Otherwise, this is my “Turk” in Erding.

Portions have become small and expensive!

Noch nie so einen schlechten Döner gegessen. Absolut null Geschmack außer verbranntes Fleisch. Geschmacklose Soße, trockenes Brot. Definitiv der emotionsloseste Döner den ich probiert habe.

The gentleman with the name Cem on his back successfully recognized me as a tourist and then made me the thinnest Lamacun I have ever seen. For €8.50 it was just cheeky. When I was in college, my roommate smoked joints that were thicker. It tasted...well. However, the store looked very nice. Unfortunately I had to carry my kebab and Lamacun away without a bag and couldn't enjoy the ambience, but given the price it would have been necessary so that I didn't fall into my rancid hotel bed so sadly.

Gastronomy: • The food is impressive and tastes excellent, definitely 5 stars! Service: • Unfortunately I had to wait over 20 minutes for my food, why is questionable. When I got my food, my companions had already finished eating. Toilets: • I don't know whether any exist, so I can't make any statements on the subject.

Horror. We ordered a kebab box with fries and a drink from the menu for €9.50. The box was so small it looked like a child's dessert. We were also charged an additional €1.30 for the beef, without being told in advance that there would be an extra charge. There were no vegetables in the kebab box, just a handful of meat and a few fries. This is the worst kebab box we have ever tried and the price is huge for the quantity. We will never eat there again. I don't recommend it!

You come here to eat and not to admire the furnishings. It has more of a snack bar character. However, for fans of Turkish food, the Orient Express is the right address. Everyone is very friendly. Don’t forget tea and baklava after your meal!

The meat from the rotisserie wasn't that great; it had some gristle in it. An employee absolutely did not understand what you actually wanted. But the baklava was very tasty as was the mocha.

I can only recommend. There is a large selection, especially from the grill. We didn't have to wait long for our food and it was delicious. I can also recommend the kebab with the homemade bread.

It wasn't bad at one time, unfortunately it's just been a disappointment since today. 😟 Went there for dinner with the family, we ordered 3 kebabs and a dürüm. A kebab should only contain meat, lettuce and tomatoes. We got the kebab as ordered but there was hardly any of it in it. I kindly asked the employee whether there was a mistake, the kebab was almost empty, and he replied (they didn't want the other things in there). 🤔 I wanted to turn the embarrassing situation around with a joke and asked the man if it was a student kebab, but he didn't take it as criticism. In any case, charging €7.50 for such a kebab is a disgrace. 😡What I forgot is that we didn't even get a kebab. Conclusion definitely lost 4 customers.

I have visited countless kebab shops, but this one is unreasonable in terms of the service staff and the kebab. For the kebab: hardly any content - vegetables cut too coarsely and little sauce so completely dry. Moving in the bread was ok. Staff: unfriendly and preference is given to people who entered the restaurant later. Only I had 2 kebabs and the other had 12.

I ate a kebab with veal, I didn't like the kebab that much. I don't find the bread tasty and the meat was too dry for me. It looks like there's a lot of sauce on the photo, but it was only on the front. Doner kebab has become very expensive everywhere, but I paid €11.20 for a kebab with cola, which I personally think is far too expensive.

Unfortunately, the quality of the food and the service have deteriorated negatively in recent months. It is very unfortunate that more attention is paid to the cell phone and regular smoking than to the guest and cleanliness. Underground! service We were there at around 7 p.m. and wanted to eat at the snack bar. We had already ordered at the counter but customers who had ordered for take away were brought forward, the staff completely lost track so we waited 25 minutes!! Eat Dürüm is a joke for the price, almost nothing in it and hardly any sauce. Adana dürüm was basically a rolled up minced meat roll with some vegetables and no sauce. But what makes things even more difficult and, for me, annoys the customer is: On the menu are the meat dishes, at the end under the dishes it says "ALL DISHES ARE SERVED WITH BULGUR SALAD AND 3 DIPS" XXXXX THAT'S NOT THE CASE !!!XXXXXXXX After asking why my Adana Dürüm was not served with the side dishes as stated, the answer was that this is never the case, and nothing is added to dishes that include bread. That's the statement. This is misleading!! Furthermore, it was only after we were explicitly pointed out that the 3 dips were served to us on our Doener plate. At first they tried to sell the dish with just one dip. Apart from the whole misery and the really bland dishes, the price for the Adana Kebab is disproportionate at a whopping 18 euros because it is still a snack bar and not a restaurant.

The food tastes good and is freshly prepared. I also think that the price is too high and the portions are too small. The staff is plentiful, but seems uncoordinated. There wasn't actually much going on, but unfortunately the voting seemed haphazard. But friendly 😊 as soon as someone feels responsible for the customer.

With the best kebab in the area, the quality is also worth the price. If I could optimize something, it would be to make the bread a little crispier and to smear the sauces directly into the bread. Maybe the rating will change something :)

Wie waren das erste mal in orientiert essen. Location ist super aber ich finde das mehr draus gemacht werden könnte das Fleisch vom Holzkohle grill schmeckt super und der Service war sehr nett im allgemeinen war es empfehlens wert und die Portion war perfekt.

Restaurant, das ich in Erding oft besuche. Alles sieht immer sehr sauber und organisiert aus; Nach der Renovierung ist der Raum noch komfortabler geworden. Das Personal ist stets aufmerksam, schnell und spricht Deutsch, Türkisch und Englisch. Die Speisekarte ist sehr abwechslungsreich und die Preise sind für die großzügigen Portionen gut! Das Essen ist köstlich und ich habe bereits verschiedene Gerichte gegessen wie zum Beispiel: Hähnchenfleischstäbchen, Köfte (die nicht sehr gut gekocht waren, aber alles gut serviert wurde – siehe Foto unten), Lachmacun, Kebab, Lammgewürze. Fast jedes Menü auf dem Teller wird mit Bulgur oder Pommes, gegrillten Tomaten und Paprika, Salat und Saucen serviert. Das Brot ist frisch gebacken und schmeckt köstlich, genau wie Pide, ein Gericht, das ich häufig esse (Foto unten). Als nächstes sollten Sie die Suppen und Desserts probieren😎. Der Kaffee ist sehr gut, aber der Tee nicht sooo good Einer der negativen Punkte ist, dass Zahlungen nur in bar erfolgen , können und die Getränke nie sehr kalt sind.

Das war die lächerlichste pide die ich je bekommen habe, sehr klein, krass überteuert (8.-) die eigentlich würzige hackfleischsauce wurde zum maximum mit Tomaten gestreckt, beim Essen lief einem alles entgegen. Eine beleidigung für den Pide was ihr da serviert ! Nie wieder !

Der Döner ist lecker. Bedienung ist freundlich. Nächste mal werde ich mal vor Ort essen. Die Karte sah gut aus.

Neat business. Everything looks clean and organised. I had the köfte plate. The köfte is amazing. It is served with comforting bulgur, flatbread and 3 dips, all delicious. The tomato-parsley salad gives a fresh variation. Two downsides: 1. the menu is quite unclear. I only saw the flyer with the menu items after i ordered. 2. The dining area is a bit too neat and looks kinda flat. In summary it is a place above my expectations.

Früher sind wir gerne hierhin gekommen, heute haben wir 7€ für einen Falafel Dürüm gezahlt der so winzig war dass man nicht satt wurde. Die Falafel haben auch geschmeckt wie zweimal frittiert und waren hart deswegen war das ganze Ding einfach trocken. Wir werden nicht mehr dorthin gehen.

Waren zum ersten Mal dort. Waren sehr zufrieden. Hervorragende Küche, großzügige Portionen und vorallem preiswert. Waren eine Stunde vor Schluß dort, wurden sehr freundlich bedient. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Bestes türkisches Restaurant in dem ich je war. Hammergeiler Adana-Teller vom Holzkohlegrill, frisch im Haus gebackenes Brot, leckere Beilagen, freundliches Personal. Lohnt längere Anfahrt!

Sehr leckeres Essen, freundlicher Service. Wir haben hier auch schon des öfteren Essen zum Mitnehmen geholt. Besonders lecker finde ich den Köfte Teller und die Pide. Aber auch die restlichen Gerichte sind sehr gut.

Das Ambiente des Restaurants versprach eine exotische und einladende Atmosphäre. Leider konnte dies die enttäuschende Erfahrung nicht ausgleichen. Der Service war langsam und unkoordiniert, was zu längeren Wartezeiten führte. Die Speisekarte bot eine begrenzte Auswahl, und die Qualität der Speisen war nur durchschnittlich. Der bestellte Hauptgang war nicht gut zubereitet und mangelte an Geschmack. Die Portionen waren eher klein und nicht dem Preis angemessen. Die Getränkeauswahl war ebenfalls begrenzt und wenig inspirierend. Zusätzlich war das Personal nicht besonders aufmerksam oder freundlich. Es schien, als ob sie mit dem Betrieb überfordert waren und sich wenig Mühe gaben, den Gästen eine angenehme Erfahrung zu bieten. Alles in allem war mein Besuch im Orient Express in Erding enttäuschend. Es gibt Verbesserungspotenzial in Bezug auf Service, Qualität der Speisen und allgemeine Aufmerksamkeit gegenüber den Gästen. Daher kann ich leider nur zwei Sterne vergeben.

Das Essen schmeckt wirklich Lecker, jedoch sind die Preise im Vergleich zu der Portion etwas hoch. Das Personal ist Teilweise nicht wirklich kundenfreundlich, man wird nicht ernst genommen und auch nicht besonders nett bedient. Die paar male als ich dort war, waren viele Gerichte nicht mehr verfügbar, sodass man die nicht Bestellen konnte (ca. 2 Stunden vor Ladenschluss). Von der Optik schaut das Restaurant von innen und außen gut aus.

Ich kann keine einzige der guten Bewertungen nachvollziehen. Das einzig gute ist der frische Salat. Ansonsten ist die scharfe Soße überhaupt nicht scharf, der Lamacun schmeckt extrem nach Kümmel und das Fleisch schmeckt einfach nur alt. Ich habe in meinem ganzen Leben noch nie so schlechten Döner gegessen

Vor einer Woche bestellte ich einen Döner und ein Pide. Doch wollte ich, dass meine Pide frisch zubereitet wird (war früher normal) da es keine Warteschlange gab. Die Mitarbeiter werden verwundert und verunsichert, da in der Theke, bereits Pide war, dass man hätte erhitzen können. Doch trotzdem wurde mir mein Pide frisch gemacht, was sehr lecker war. Sie nahmen meinen Wunsch als ein Kunde an und machten mich zufrieden. Vielen Dank.
