ORA Restaurant & Wine Bar in Berlin

Awesome sauce. We had the tasting menu with sides of sirloin and steak tartare washed down with beautiful German red wine and Green Spot whiskey. The food and staff are epic. The steak tartare was next level. Fine dining at very fair prices. Can’t say enough about how awesome this place is.

The charm of the interior spoiled by arrogant bar staff. I don't recommend going there for a drink at the bar: - small, overpriced cocktails filled with a single massive brick of ice and some drink. - bar staff behaving like they did you a massive favour by letting you in. - snacks were very tasty but also for the amount on the platter - overpriced. The restaurant area seemed to be of much higher quality in terms of service. I would give that a shot possibly in the future.

An old pharmacy perfectly staged. The evening menu (a new one - the homepage is NOT YET current) was absolutely awesome, tasted perfect, and the components were simply great! The service is attentive, fast and friendly in English/German. Thank you for a great, enjoyable evening and see you next time

Nice atmosphere and the servers tried hard, but the food wasn't that great. The starters and dessert were good. For the main course, we had 3 pork necks and 2 broccoli pastas. After a long wait for the main course and being repeatedly told "food will be here in 2-3 minutes," the 3 pork necks were only lukewarm. The plates were nice and hot, though. They must have been sitting in the kitchen for ages. The wild broccoli was not only too bitter for our taste, but also charred. One dish was returned, while another simply pushed the broccoli aside and, due to hunger, the pasta was eaten. With all the other good options in Berlin, we won't give Ora a second chance.

Delicious menu and good wine options.

Visited for Valentine's Day. The restaurant was serving a set dinner menu. There were two options for each course and we took one of each. Most of the dishes were ok, although nothing stood out as spectacular. The desserts were disappointing. None of the dishes were quite what we were expecting based on the reviews and feedback we'd had about the place from friends, but a surprise can be nice. The restaurant was understandably busy and we were seated in the small upstairs room on a table so close to our neighbours that it felt like we were dining with them! We had to move the table to the side to get in and out. This was slightly uncomfortable and the small room itself was a bit quiet for us. We had a long wait between two of our courses without an explanation or comment from the waiter. Delays happen, but it's good to acknowledge it. A highlight was the bottle of wine we took. The wine list is very interesting and quite different from many similar places in Berlin. I'd like to visit again to try the main room which has a more buzzy environment or just have a drink at the bar. The greeting staff were very friendly and our waiter was professional and able to help us with the wine choice.

Das Gute vorweg: ein sehr schmuckes Ambiente. Das macht was her und ist schon besonders. Das Essen ist auf stabilem Mittelklasse-Niveau, wenngleich sehr ansprechend präsentiert. Allerdings ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut aus dem Ruder geraten. Aktuell kostet das 3-Gang-Menue 62 EUR. Selbst die vegetarische Variante. Alternativen waren Schweinenacken/Steinbarsch/Casarecce. Zu einem vernünftigen Preis sicherlich ein schönes Erlebnis. Das Personal war sehr bemüht, wenngleich nicht immer professionell. Keine Empfehlung.

Quite expensive but the food was really good. Strange however these days not to have a selection of non alcoholic wines in a wine bar. Hopefully they will improve that.

Food was great, the experience was lowered by the service or rather sense of haste and pushiness making a nice dinner feel rushed Also the place can feel a bit crowded so take this into account. For a wine bar, one would expect a little information about the wine served to be a given not something to ask for.

The experience was okay, and I would return here with colleagues for example to spend en evening, but not for the flavour exploration. Starters were promising, main course was delicious, but that’s it - good but took simple, desserts were disappointing: sweetness was blocking all the other tastes. Wine selection is wide, the ones we tried were great. Atmosphere is pleasant, no music, a bit too loud, but alright.

Have been wanting to come here for years and finally made it. ORA did not disappoint! Although it’s a small menu everything is done so well and we enjoyed every bite. Our server was very helpful with suggesting a great wine, and everybody was very friendly — from the moment we walked in to leaving.

Small, good menu: 3 course menu and three options per course. You could choose tartar as a starter and it was the best I've eaten so far. 👌

We ate spontaneously yesterday and literally had a palate orgasm with the tartare. The pork medallion in the main course was also a dream of delicacy and the desserts were each very successful, be it the very round pear marzipan or the fruity, fiery sorbet ice cream. Would have had an excellent experience overall :)

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. At €62 for 3 courses, certain expectations arose. These were met neither with the presentation of the dishes nor with their taste quality. The service staff were all very nice - the atmosphere was the reason we came. But that's not enough for a second time.

We were at Ora for New Year's Eve. It totally convinced us, it wasn't the last time we were there. The menu with wine accompaniment was excellent. The service too.

We came without reservations on a very busy night. The service was great and the host went out of is way to accommodate us and find us a seating even though the place was over booked.

The food is very good, so is the wine selection. The waiters were friendly but they are missing the waitering savoir vivre. We made reservation for 11 people for a birthday dinner. One of the chairs we got was a hard stool without any back- we asked for replacement but the waiters told us they don’t have any more left (???). We insisted and so they brought a garden chair. We asked for a normal one and so they brought one but with a huge rip in the sitting. In the end we exchanged it ourselves with a chair from an empty table next to us. But we felt like guests of second category. Secondly when exchanging plates we were asked to hold the cutlery - which is not a problem in an eatery but in a classy restaurant like this was a bit inappropriate. So in short - the service doesn’t match the prices. But the food and the interior (old pharmacy) counterbalance.

Als Gastronom wundert man sich über die Gestaltung der Speisekarte. 55€ für ein Menü, das sich vegetarisch ausrichtet. Möchte man bei 3 Vorschlägen der Vorspeise Tagliatelle ( mit etwas Fleisch) zahlt man 3 € Aufschlag! Die anderen 2 Angebote waren keine Alternative: Suppe/Salat. Dasselbe beim Hauptgericht 7 € Aufschlag! Reeller wäre es 2 Menüvorschläge zu machen. So jedoch probiert man die Preise zu verstecken. Als Starter gibt es einen riesigen Kanten Brot mit Butter, nachträglich hat man das Gefühl, er sollte sättigen, vielleicht tut es das Menü nicht... Preis - Leistung nicht gelungen. Das Ambiente, eine wunderschöne alte Apotheke, doch wie sagt man: nicht der Käfig, der VOGEL zwitschert.

And then you find, casually wandering around, the little place that changes your holiday. And you come back 3 nights out of 3. What was an old pharmacy is now a nice cocktail bar and restaurant. A back counter that has remained unchanged over time, where glasses, bottles of wine and spirits have taken the place of medicines and various vials. Some remains from the ampoule, and even if empty it still gives a sense of a healing mixture, which is well suited to mixology after all. Large and full of drawers and shelves, tidy and clean, even if in terms of variety, as a bottle rack it leaves a little to be desired. The cocktail menu is therefore small, perfectly executed by a young barlady full of desire and professional gestures. The counter is narrow for us customers, but despite this we can eat peacefully and it is very popular and always full. Plus for those who love having a chat with the person who serves you a drink. The guys in the room are very attentive and thoughtful, and smile, albeit discreetly, at anyone who enters the room, to welcome them promptly and make them feel at home. Special mention for Serena and Giorgio, who despite the crowds of the weekend managed to spend those few extra seconds on me which made the difference. The food is of excellent quality and discreet in style, cooked in a simple way without many frills. The snack section is nice, some of which are displayed on plates in the bar area. You can peek into the kitchen, and there are at least 4 people rotating inside, each in their own game, each precise, clean and confident in their movements. A truly close-knit, competent and fast team, which works with its head down (high!) and doesn't get lost in chatter, for a well-defined final objective: the CUSTOMER. That if he's not an idiot he'll come back and come back. Cheers

As a restaurateur, you wonder about the design of the menu. 55€ for a vegetarian menu. If you would like to have 3 suggestions for the Tagliatelle starter (with some meat) you pay a 3€ surcharge! The other 2 offers were not an alternative: soup/salad. The same with the main course 7 € surcharge! It would be more realistic to make 2 menu suggestions. However, they try to hide the prices. As a starter there is a huge piece of bread with butter, afterward you have the feeling that it should be filling, maybe the menu isn't...The ambience, a beautiful old pharmacy, but as the saying goes: not the cage, the BIRD is chirping.

We went for my birthday. The price for the food was completely unjustified but the service and location was nice 😊

Set in an old pharmacy, the place has a great ambiance. There's a fixed 3 course menu for dinner,with emphasis on vegetation based dishes (though there was also a meat dish). We really enjoyed the food, it was unique and tasty. The carrot soup was exceptional. We even enjoyed the wierd mushroom based desert which was served for the first time. Service was truly friendly and attentive.

Great restaurant in Berlin, definitely worth a visit and you do need to book. 3 course meal with a few options per course and really good value for money, the food was absolutely delicious. I would go back just for the venison main.

The atmosphere was really nice and the wine wasn't bad, but it was really disappointing that from the moment we entered at 10 o'clock, a person who looked like a manager warned us that the restaurant would be closing soon. Sighing at the guest sitting next to us, taking away their glass, or making a loud noise on purpose is a classic tactic, but I don't think it's necessary to do that every time we get into trouble. In the end, we couldn't resist and left at 11:15.

Highly recommended for wine enthusiasts. A variety of snacks(?) paired with wine. If you enjoy a course equal to the number of people, it will cost over 200,000 won per person. Just do half the course and add a few dishes.

This place is gorgeous. An amazing atmosphere. Extremely attentive service. Good cocktails and wine. Food a nice twist on the normal and well-presented. Easy to while away hours here.

We had the pleasure of dining at the ORA Restaurant & Wine in Berlin. An authentic jewel, an old pharmacy, old shelves, glass bottles that convey a unique charm.  The atmosphere is welcoming and at the same time refined. Perfect for a dinner for two, a cocktail and a glass of excellent wine. The service is impeccable: the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. A special thanks to Serena who recommended an excellent glass of white wine accompanied by oysters. Amazing combination! My mouth is still watering! I highly recommend NOW to anyone who wants to discover a unique environment, full of allure and contemporary. A visit is a must!

Service was top notch, the place was too loud for an Intimate dinner, after an hour spent I felt drunk from lights and other table noises. Food was ok but nothing to go there for. Good wine selection.

I had the pleasure of visiting Ora Restaurant in Berlin and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant is located in an old pharmacy that has barely been remodeled, giving the place a unique and stylish charm. The atmosphere is just perfect for a restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic. The presentation of the dishes was impressive and the quality of the food spoke for itself. Every dish was a delight and the menu was clear and well structured. A special highlight was that the sous chef Vincent personally brought out the dishes and explained everything to me again. I thought that was really great and it made the experience even more special. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They took the time to explain everything to me and made me feel very comfortable throughout my entire visit. The service was first class and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The price-performance ratio was also absolutely right. For the quality of the food and the excellent service, the prices were more than fair. Overall, my visit to Restaurant Ora was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I can only warmly recommend it. 1A!

We enjoyed a nice meal at Ora recently. It's a cool setting and pretty good value. The food was great and very tasty but unfortunately we were disappointed to find a piece of plastic in the salmon dish. We politely made our waitress aware of this and this was passed onto her manager. Unfortunately there was no explanation or apology offered to us. We've both worked in hospitality before so understand how these things can happen sometimes. However, we expected something to be taken off the bill or discounted at the end but this didn't happen. Not the best feeling or service here - something to improve!

We had the most wonderful time here, magical taste of vegetables, we never had before. very nice memories, we need to return soon.

Amazing, educated and friendly service, lovely food that tasted great with terrific combinations of ingrediënts, together with a lovely scenery gave me one of the best restaurant experiences that I’ve had.

+ Decent service. Especially, one of the waitresses was excellent! - The food was mediocre! Most of the dishes were tasteless. - One table got the food about half an hour after the other. We were told that the kitchen lacks the capability to serve 13 guests. We would have appreciated getting this information in advance so we could make an informed decision on where to dine.

Super nice restaurant in the former ORANIEN pharmacy in Berlin Kreuzberg. A lot of the old inventory has been preserved, it's worth taking a look! The food and drinks were delicious, the 3-course menu was very tasty (refreshing in summer). And the service excellent! :)

Food is created as a perfect set of well balanced menu - just go for the full option and you won’t regret it! Wonderful German Chardonnay. Lovely service. But the just after the food (which is obviously super good and the most important) just make sure you pay attention to the interior… with booking a spot inside, to feel the vibe :) great place!

The prices were very high, and expectations were placed on the main courses which they did not live up to. The waitress didn't bother to speak German and we were constantly served in English. Berlin is an international city, but waiters can be expected to know by heart the 20 phrases they need in their everyday life. The oysters were delicious, but the rest of the courses were unfortunately just mediocre.

Shaky outdoor chairs on torn pavement. Extremely expensive. Normal drinks, such as a standard Caipirinha or similar, are not known. Service only speaks English. The map is a mix of different languages ​​and made-up words and abbreviations. Waiting time for drinks was very long. Unfortunately nothing fits here. But that's exactly why we had fun here. Because everything was so unreal and bizarre, we couldn't stop laughing.

Although I haven’t eaten here, it was and remains to be one of my favorite cocktail bars around. Always had a great time always went away with the just enough tipsiness!

Stylish bar with a nice ambience. Certainly a good address for wine and cocktails. The food was a complete disappointment... When the little chef reaches for the stars. Well-intentioned, but not well-done. No sophistication, no love, no surprises - but unfortunately the down-to-earth thing was missing. In the end, a composition of individual ingredients that also lacked craftsmanship. We don't even talk about quantity and price. Clear advice: the food is not worth the money

I recently visited this wine bar and was impressed by the beautiful interior, which has a distinct New York vibe. The atmosphere was chic and inviting, making it a great spot for a night out. The staff was attentive and provided excellent service throughout our visit. The cocktails were refined and interesting, with unique flavors that stood out. However, it’s worth noting that the prices are on the higher side. Despite this, the overall experience was enjoyable, and I would recommend it for a special occasion or a treat.

I enjoyed my visit to Ora, but I’m not sure I’d go back a second time. We did the tasting menu. The food was tasty, but the portions were small (considering the price) and we asked for a second portion of bread as we were hungry. The service was warm and friendly, but very slow. It felt like a long time had elapsed between the appetizer and main course in particular.

What a unique culinary experience at Ora! Nestled in a historic apoteke, is charm and ambience are accented by touches from its original purpose. The courses are thoughtful, well made and creative combinations of ingredients unlike any I've ever tasted- if you've never had a spring salad accented with charcoal and buttermilk dressing, you're missing out! Nothing was overly sauced- you could savor the high quality meats, fish and veggies without too much salt or seasoning manipulation. Unique accents elevate each dish, and their knowledgeable Sommeliers suggested wine pairings that took each bite to another level for the palate! What a friendly and welcoming team, we felt pampered and welcome from the moment we walked through their door. Ps, the cheese plate and port pairing was the perfect way to end the meal, with a smooth espresso licqueur to raise one final glass to an exceptional meal. Truly a hidden gem, make a reservation and let their imagination level up your dining experience in Berlin!

We had dinner at Ora as a group of 25 people (team dinner) and this we had a set menu for the evening. The kindness of the service and atmosphere of the restaurant were great, I really liked this old apothecary vibe. Although the food was good and extremely fresh (there was even a living worm 🐛in the green salad…), it took quite long between each dishes so dinner felt quite tiring due to the wait. Overall would recommend for the vibe.

Great find, excellent way to try local cuisine. Portions aren't massive but the quality excellent. The staff are helpful and there is a good selection of quality wines. Best to book a table. Very popular

The atmosphere in the restaurant is unique and the staff is professional. I really enjoyed dining here, but wanted to experience more of the ambience. The menu was beautifully prepared and tasted very good, although the coordination with the wine was a bit unclear.

Langweilig Such a boring and tasteless place that you want to die. I don't like it at all. This is exactly it if you are going to the next world and it also stinks. Upon entering there is a smell of chemicals. And food is only available until 22:00, there is not even a tablecloth on the table. Not a cozy place at all, not a photo spot. If you want to dress nicely in a dress for beautiful photos and impressions, then this is definitely not the place. You sit in the corner in an uncomfortable old chair. Someone recommended this place, someone said it was delicious. As a result, your breath will smell like onions. And this is completely unsuitable for a date. I still can’t breathe. Because the food stinks. May the owners forgive me for such a review. I just wrote my opinion 🙈

Vibrant, great environment. Food superb and all made even better by outstanding staff, with a special mention to our waiter Michael who was outstanding. We will be back.

Pochi piatti nel menù pretenzioso ma non bene eseguito. La cottura dei cibi era approssimativa. Le pietanze scarse a fronte di un prezzo fin troppo alto. Assolutamente non consigliato

It’s been a while since I’ve eaten at Ora and to be fair, it got even better than before! The food was delicious, interesting, familiar taste but in dishes I have never tried before. The wine card also did not let us down. Lots of great natural and classic wine, including some volcanic wines from canary islands. Awesome service. Quick but not too quick. Friendly but also not too intense. Awesome!

Disappointing experience. For 5 people, an exorbitant bill of 110 euros for a plate of cheese and 5 glasses of wine (and 2 bottles of water)

Una volta finito di cenare.... hai già voglia di prenotare la cena successiva! Torneremo sicuramente alla prima occasione. Berlino ci aveva già rapito il cuore, ora abbiamo una ragione in più. Yesterday I visited the Ora with two friends (reserved table). We didn't sit in the main room; The advantage was that we were able to have a good time, the disadvantage was that we weren't really immersed in the beautiful, bustling atmosphere. Our service at the table was reserved (still in a pleasant way) and a great advisor when describing wishes and expectations when choosing drinks. I like to be experimental and had exciting experiences with orange wine and PetNat, among other things. Basically, I also look for this when it comes to food - especially in places like this with high standards! Sometimes it clicked more, sometimes less. The home-made bread is nice (spicy, acidic, crispy crust, juicy inside), but butter is just boring - there's still something that could be done. The deer cannelloni as a starter were great. The only thing missing for me was salt, otherwise different textures, clear edge "mushroominess" and still playful. The roast beef main course had a special twist thanks to the play with tongue and black garlic; the beef was juicy, but not quite as tender as hoped and the savoy cabbage was rather boring to use. I then ended with the Deichkäse, which gave me the desired umami finish. There was also a kind of fruit puree and toasted bread, which was too monotonous for me. I tried my neighbor's chocolate tart - brilliant! intense, creamy-liquid, delicately melting. very opulent! The bergamot ice cream with it was a really cool idea, but wasn't present enough in the execution - for me that could have been emphasized even more in the direction of acidity. All in all, a nice evening with friends and a location where it's definitely fun to go on a culinary journey! Thanks!

Very satisfying plates of food! The bread basket with butter is top notch! Starters were a solid 5 - excellent light and flavourful salad and a venison cannelloni packed with intense flavours offset by a beautiful sauce and kale. For the mains, the winner had to be the beef with beets and a mushroom mousse! Dreamy, rich and so balanced! The sea bass was a good piece of fish but was not feeling the pumpkin base unfortunately. It didn’t satisfy nor wow, sadly. Both the desserts were delectable with the blood orange sorbet a little more of a tart palate cleanser and the chocolate tart being a bit of that satisfyer! Wonderful setting and really good food!

Really classy atmosphere but not too posh. It was an old farmacy, and they kept some of the furniture, which makes all the difference. The food is also soooo good . On the pricey side, but it's worth it.

We were able to visit the Ora restaurant for the first time on Saturday evening. We felt very welcome and were served very attentively. The staff went out of their way to make your stay extremely pleasant. The meal was an experience that we would definitely recommend. All in one a wonderful restaurant, we would love to come back!

Classy place in the center of Berlin. Food was delicious, and cocktails were too. Open till late night. they serve per courses, and it was good and complemented each other. I had the vegetarian option and it was very good. It was prepared nicely and service was also very good.

New Years Eve Dinner. Great atmosphere, overall good food but a bit too randomly mixed menu (set menu). Service was good but not great. Good wine pairing. Paying €200 per person, I would expect a bit better service and thought through menu.

Average food, don’t recommend monkfish main. Good service for Berlin standards. Uncomfortable chairs with holes in cushions. Were requested to pay and leave because our table had another reservation.

Beste service we had in a long time. We celebrated my spouse' birthday, the staff was exceptionally friendly. Interesting food, you can choose from 3 starters, main dishes and desserts in a set. We also took a cheese plate, it's served with some kind of pickled berries jam. The cheese is from a well known local place in Kreuzberg. I had a canneloni with pistachio filling for starter, didn't quite understand it. Moonfish for main dish had a unique combination of tastes and textures.

This will end up in the top of my list of best restaurants, wow. The food was superb and all of the waiters were very friendly.
