ORA Restaurant & Wine Bar in Berlin

The best thing about this restaurant is the ambiance. We were there once before in the summer of 2024, and back then the food was a real treat, truly excellent. Since then, they've changed their concept and replaced the kitchen staff, as confirmed upon inquiry. The result today, in January 2026, is unfortunately more than just ordinary cuisine—bland, lacking flavor, trying too hard but failing miserably. I wouldn't recommend visiting (anymore). For €160 for two people, you can eat much better in Berlin; the beautiful ambiance of the former pharmacy can't disguise that. What a shame!

The service was very slow. We ordered a set menu and an extra-large dish. The set menu consisted only of simple vegetables and appetizers. The food tasted burnt. The extra-large dish was far too small. The dessert was inedible. The waiter was very friendly. Thank you.

Super fun place. Delicious food, lovely ambiance, beautiful decor. We had the set menu for €60. Highly recommended, because it's a great way to discover what this restaurant has to offer. Definitely recommended.

Now my wonderful Berlin fix! Third time in Berlin, a fantastic city, and third time dining at Ora: as always, we spent two or three pleasant, delicious hours of pure indulgence. In a setting of incomparable beauty, amidst shelves, furnishings, and glass vases from an ancient pharmacy, a warm and convivial atmosphere, we enjoyed various appetizers, including excellent bread and butter, seasonal vegetables like Brussels sprouts and roasted friggitelli peppers, a reinterpretation of Caesar salad so delicious it was finger-licking delicious, and a lentil and duck breast dish that alone was worth the trip from Milan to Berlin! From the fun and refined wine list, we opted for a Cotes de Bordeaux from a Chateau I was unfamiliar with, and I was very impressed. I'm a true fan of Ora and will always recommend it to anyone, without hesitation. I absolutely love everything about it, including the super positive vibes you get when you're sitting at those tables or at the bar serving drinks and mixology. A restaurant with a very modern vision set in a historic setting: it doesn't get more Berlin-esque than this!

Very tasty food, friendly service. They have a slightly cheaper and different lunch menu. Great place to sit, relax and enjoy very good food with an Italian soul.

The food here is extremely delicious. Especially the Leberkas Semmel is outstanding I am saying this as a Bavarian with loads of Leberkas experience! Also the service is very friendly and highly professionel, and the location, a former pharmacy, is beautiful. A visit at Ora is highly recommended!

This place is really something special. When I called saying we’d be running a few minutes late, the manager answered the phone so grateful for our call, as though nobody had done something thoughtful like that before. The space is so vibey and cool. We were seated in the upstairs room and told that we had the table for 2+ hours which usually when you’re told a time limit, it’s around 1.25 hours. Unfortunately we didn’t have as much time as they offered us as we were going to a concert. Every single bite of every single dish we had was exceptional. The kale gnocchi was out of this world. The cabbage was perfectly cooked. I wish I could have eaten slower because truly, every bite was better than the last. Excellent service. I can’t wait to come back!

I simply can’t comprehend the google score! People are such whingers! Honestly Ora / Theke has been a firm favourite of mine for years. The food, wine and service is always on point. The room is perhaps one of my two favourite rooms in Berlin. I’m always excited to see what new twists they have come up with.

The place is very dim so it made us sleepy inside. On top of that, the place has a serious acoustic problem when the waiter comes to take our order, I can’t hear him, but I can hear the entire conversation at the table across from us. The food is okay but the atmosphere really disappointed us.

Hands down one of the most beautiful interiors in Berlin. The conversion from an old pharmacy to a bar is done with such respect for history. It’s nostalgic, and visually stunning. If you appreciate places with a unique identity and genuine vibe and great drinks (amaaazing ones), ORA is a must-visit. Pure aesthetic pleasure

The restaurant once again lives up to its excellent reputation and is now finally open for lunch on Thursday / Friday / Saturday. The lunch menu is well designed, featuring fresh, flavorful dishes with amazing taste. The atmosphere remains welcoming and elegant, and the service is consistently professional, attentive, and friendly. A perfect choice for an enjoyable high quality lunch break, whether for work or simply to relax during the day.

I've been to Ora three times now, and each time it's been fantastic. The ever-changing menu always offers new culinary experiences, the food is high-quality and absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is great too: relaxed and with a good vibe. I'll definitely be back.

last visit - 2017 They don't have tab beer, but other than that, everything was very nice; service, food, design… I would go there again next time in Berlin.

We booked short notice for dinner and directly went from the airport. They had a little space for coats and small luggages, which was really handy! Really good ambiance for dinner and such lovely hosts/hostesses.

Not every restaurant where you pay over €100 per person for the evening is automatically good. The pharmacy idea is nice, otherwise it's overpriced.

We recently held an intimate event at Ora for a women's community and it was absolutely amazing! Giorgio and the whole team made sure we were well taken care of! The atmosphere is so warm, the drinks immaculate and the food exceptional! We will definitely be coming back! 10/10 experience!

A truly special restaurant! The location in the former pharmacy is original and designed with great attention to detail – the ambiance alone is worth a visit. The drinks and food are of exceptionally high quality, and everything seems thoughtfully and creatively prepared. I would especially like to highlight the staff: attentive, warm, and extremely accommodating. A place where you feel completely at home – absolutely recommended!

The BBQ pork with mushrooms was really tasty and perfectly prepared, and the Negroni was delicious.

This was a great way to celebrate a birthday. We took the tasting menu for 60€ - the highlight were the Caesar salad & its yummy dressing (look at that cheese on top 🤤), the gnocchis and the mousse au chocolat. The service was great, they delivered all the dishes at a good pace, enough for us to enjoy each course. The cute and original location (being an old pharmacy) was the cherry on top, making us forget about the loudness of the place. Some dishes felt like they could be a bit more sophisticated but overall really worth the price. Also, we had one apéritif drink each, but were hoping for something a bit more unique considering the ingredients mentioned. That being said, I'd definitely come back to taste other drinks and go through that tasting menu again.

Coming from France for the holidays, I had a great evening at ORA. While in many places in Berlin, the staff is "relaxed", here the staff knows how to work: the welcome and the service are impeccable. Then the 4-course menu is very interesting, it allowed me to discover seasonal products, which are really well accompanied by great wines (recommended by a server). I will come back with pleasure!

I was here for a conference, and after searching online and reading some reviews, we came to this restaurant with colleagues. What can I say... a slightly retro atmosphere that immediately won me over (even more beautiful in person than in the photos), and everything, from the friendly welcome from all the staff to the food, which I found perfect—simple, international cuisine of very high quality—made me feel good all evening. Special mention for the wine list ❤️ Highly recommended!

A hidden gem in the heart of Berlin. The set menu was a triumph of authentic flavors, generous and meticulously prepared. The atmosphere, in what was once an old apotheke, is unique: elegant, welcoming, with a touch of magic. Giorgio and his team made us feel like special guests.

Absolutely fantastic dinner. We were visiting Berlin (with an 11 year old) and this dinner was one of the highlights. Chefs menu was fantastic and the staff were absolutely amazing, they really made it a perfect evening!

The ambiance is unique as the restaurant is a former Pharmacy shop, and they combined the old shelves and interior design. We went for the tasting menu. All the dishes were delicious but our favorite was the BBQ pork. The negroni is really good

A great special occasion place. Food this good comes at a price! So don't come in a stingy mindset. I only wish that our zucchini flower had come with a friend :) Love the interiors. (Though one loud talker can make the glass and paneling can seem like a downside.) Did there not used to be a nice non-alcoholic cocktail program? I might be imagining things.

Came for a friend’s 30th and it delivered hard. Service was smooth, friendly, totally on point the whole night. The wines were unreal. Vibes were the kind you wish you could bottle. ORA nails that balance, classy, warm, and effortlessly cool. Big YES from all of us.

Food was way to expensive for what you get and also nothing spectacular. The place is quite nice to sit but you’ll get better food and vibes at “Klinke” next door

After dinner the other night, I came back because of the cocktail program. I was impressed during my first visit by the sophistication of classic cocktails such as dry martini or a Manhattan. On my second visit, I wanted to doublecheck that I wasn’t hallucinating. I had sensed correctly during my first visit, The cocktail program is superior. Erin, a Mixologist from Melbourne Australia, does a remarkable job, paying attention to details such as temperature of the glass, temperature of the drink, and sourcing superior ingredients. These were probably the best cocktails I had during my stay in Berlin. If you like great cocktails, beautiful surroundings, delicious snacks, and a super competent mixologist, visit ORA. I had a great time. Congratulations to Erin and the team.

I visited ORA last week and, while I really enjoyed the atmosphere and service during my visit, I unfortunately had a negative experience afterward. I was the only one at the table who ordered oysters, and since then, I’ve been experiencing severe stomach pain and discomfort. I couldn’t sleep all night and was still feeling unwell the next morning. When I reached out to the restaurant to share my experience, I was surprised by their response. Although they replied promptly, their tone felt quite distant and lacked empathy. Considering how welcoming the atmosphere at ORA is, I expected a more caring and understanding approach when addressing a potential food safety issue. Instead, their response felt almost dismissive and indifferent. I truly hope that my experience was an isolated incident, but I believe customer care should be handled with the same warmth and attentiveness as their in-house service. It was disappointing to feel that my concerns were not genuinely acknowledged. I still appreciate the ambiance and service at ORA, but I hope the management considers being more attentive and considerate when dealing with customer feedback, especially regarding health concerns.

We went here as the final dinner of an extended weekend in Berlin and I could not have wished for a better experience. We were imediately greeted by the extremely friendly staff and were seated at our table, there is an incredible atmosphere and the theme of the old apothacary realy sets the mood for the evening. The food was simply amazing, the bbq pork in particular. The House cocktails are also very well made and taste great. 10/10 would recommend and visit again

Awesome sauce. We had the tasting menu with sides of sirloin and steak tartare washed down with beautiful German red wine and Green Spot whiskey. The food and staff are epic. The steak tartare was next level. Fine dining at very fair prices. Can’t say enough about how awesome this place is.

The charm of the interior spoiled by arrogant bar staff. I don't recommend going there for a drink at the bar: - small, overpriced cocktails filled with a single massive brick of ice and some drink. - bar staff behaving like they did you a massive favour by letting you in. - snacks were very tasty but also for the amount on the platter - overpriced. The restaurant area seemed to be of much higher quality in terms of service. I would give that a shot possibly in the future.

An old pharmacy perfectly staged. The evening menu (a new one - the homepage is NOT YET current) was absolutely awesome, tasted perfect, and the components were simply great! Nice atmosphere and the servers tried hard, but the food wasn't that great. The starters and dessert were good. For the main course, we had 3 pork necks and 2 broccoli pastas. After a long wait for the main course and being repeatedly told "food will be here in 2-3 minutes," the 3 pork necks were only lukewarm. The plates were nice and hot, though. They must have been sitting in the kitchen for ages. The wild broccoli was not only too bitter for our taste, but also charred. One dish was returned, while another simply pushed the broccoli aside and, due to hunger, the pasta was eaten. With all the other good options in Berlin, we won't give Ora a second chance.

Así que la primera vez que fui, con un amigo, tuvimos una gran cena, muy especial. La segunda vez que fui a mis 40 años con un grupo grande y la cena era realmente un poco deficiente - el plato principal era pescado y frijoles y honestamente no tenía sabor o estilo especial, sabía muy claro. El entrante de carpaccio de ternera también era muy sencillo. El ambiente es precioso, hermosa farmacia anterior, los precios son justos. Pero la calidad parece poco fiable.

Excellent food and cocktails, but very slow service!

Visited for Valentine's Day. The restaurant was serving a set dinner menu. There were two options for each course and we took one of each. Most of the dishes were ok, although nothing stood out as spectacular. The desserts were disappointing. None of the dishes were quite what we were expecting based on the reviews and feedback we'd had about the place from friends, but a surprise can be nice. The restaurant was understandably busy and we were seated in the small upstairs room on a table so close to our neighbours that it felt like we were dining with them! We had to move the table to the side to get in and out. This was slightly uncomfortable and the small room itself was a bit quiet for us. We had a long wait between two of our courses without an explanation or comment from the waiter. Delays happen, but it's good to acknowledge it. A highlight was the bottle of wine we took. The wine list is very interesting and quite different from many similar places in Berlin. I'd like to visit again to try the main room which has a more buzzy environment or just have a drink at the bar. The greeting staff were very friendly and our waiter was professional and able to help us with the wine choice.

Das Gute vorweg: ein sehr schmuckes Ambiente. Das macht was her und ist schon besonders. Das Essen ist auf stabilem Mittelklasse-Niveau, wenngleich sehr ansprechend präsentiert. Allerdings ist das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis absolut aus dem Ruder geraten. Aktuell kostet das 3-Gang-Menue 62 EUR. Selbst die vegetarische Variante. Alternativen waren Schweinenacken/Steinbarsch/Casarecce. Zu einem vernünftigen Preis sicherlich ein schönes Erlebnis. Das Personal war sehr bemüht, wenngleich nicht immer professionell. Keine Empfehlung.

Quite expensive but the food was really good. Strange however these days not to have a selection of non alcoholic wines in a wine bar. Hopefully they will improve that.

Food was great, the experience was lowered by the service or rather sense of haste and pushiness making a nice dinner feel rushed Also the place can feel a bit crowded so take this into account. For a wine bar, one would expect a little information about the wine served to be a given not something to ask for.

The experience was okay, and I would return here with colleagues for example to spend en evening, but not for the flavour exploration. Starters were promising, main course was delicious, but that’s it - good but took simple, desserts were disappointing: sweetness was blocking all the other tastes. Wine selection is wide, the ones we tried were great. Atmosphere is pleasant, no music, a bit too loud, but alright.

Have been wanting to come here for years and finally made it. ORA did not disappoint! Although it’s a small menu everything is done so well and we enjoyed every bite. Our server was very helpful with suggesting a great wine, and everybody was very friendly — from the moment we walked in to leaving.

Small, good menu: 3 course menu and three options per course. You could choose tartar as a starter and it was the best I've eaten so far. 👌

We ate spontaneously yesterday and literally had a palate orgasm with the tartare. The pork medallion in the main course was also a dream of delicacy and the desserts were each very successful, be it the very round pear marzipan or the fruity, fiery sorbet ice cream. Would have had an excellent experience overall :)

Unfortunately we were very disappointed. At €62 for 3 courses, certain expectations arose. These were met neither with the presentation of the dishes nor with their taste quality. The service staff were all very nice - the atmosphere was the reason we came. But that's not enough for a second time.

We were at Ora for New Year's Eve. It totally convinced us, it wasn't the last time we were there. The menu with wine accompaniment was excellent. The service too.

We came without reservations on a very busy night. The service was great and the host went out of is way to accommodate us and find us a seating even though the place was over booked.

The food is very good, so is the wine selection. The waiters were friendly but they are missing the waitering savoir vivre. We made reservation for 11 people for a birthday dinner. One of the chairs we got was a hard stool without any back- we asked for replacement but the waiters told us they don’t have any more left (???). We insisted and so they brought a garden chair. We asked for a normal one and so they brought one but with a huge rip in the sitting. In the end we exchanged it ourselves with a chair from an empty table next to us. But we felt like guests of second category. Secondly when exchanging plates we were asked to hold the cutlery - which is not a problem in an eatery but in a classy restaurant like this was a bit inappropriate. So in short - the service doesn’t match the prices. But the food and the interior (old pharmacy) counterbalance.

En virkelig hyggelig restaurant fyldt med charme og atmosfære. God stemning og virkelig imødekommende personale. Lækker mad - dog lidt i den dyre ende i forhold til, hvad man får.

And then you find, casually wandering around, the little place that changes your holiday. And you come back 3 nights out of 3. What was an old pharmacy is now a nice cocktail bar and restaurant. A back counter that has remained unchanged over time, where glasses, bottles of wine and spirits have taken the place of medicines and various vials. Some remains from the ampoule, and even if empty it still gives a sense of a healing mixture, which is well suited to mixology after all. Large and full of drawers and shelves, tidy and clean, even if in terms of variety, as a bottle rack it leaves a little to be desired. The cocktail menu is therefore small, perfectly executed by a young barlady full of desire and professional gestures. The counter is narrow for us customers, but despite this we can eat peacefully and it is very popular and always full. Plus for those who love having a chat with the person who serves you a drink. The guys in the room are very attentive and thoughtful, and smile, albeit discreetly, at anyone who enters the room, to welcome them promptly and make them feel at home. Special mention for Serena and Giorgio, who despite the crowds of the weekend managed to spend those few extra seconds on me which made the difference. The food is of excellent quality and discreet in style, cooked in a simple way without many frills. The snack section is nice, some of which are displayed on plates in the bar area. You can peek into the kitchen, and there are at least 4 people rotating inside, each in their own game, each precise, clean and confident in their movements. A truly close-knit, competent and fast team, which works with its head down (high!) and doesn't get lost in chatter, for a well-defined final objective: the CUSTOMER. That if he's not an idiot he'll come back and come back. Cheers

Als Gastronom wundert man sich über die Gestaltung der Speisekarte. 55€ für ein Menü, das sich vegetarisch ausrichtet. Möchte man bei 3 Vorschlägen der Vorspeise Tagliatelle ( mit etwas Fleisch) zahlt man 3 € Aufschlag! Die anderen 2 Angebote waren keine Alternative: Suppe/Salat. Dasselbe beim Hauptgericht 7 € Aufschlag! Reeller wäre es 2 Menüvorschläge zu machen. So jedoch probiert man die Preise zu verstecken. Als Starter gibt es einen riesigen Kanten Brot mit Butter, nachträglich hat man das Gefühl, er sollte sättigen, vielleicht tut es das Menü nicht... Preis - Leistung nicht gelungen. Das Ambiente, eine wunderschöne alte Apotheke, doch wie sagt man: nicht der Käfig, der VOGEL zwitschert.

As a restaurateur, you wonder about the design of the menu. 55€ for a vegetarian menu. If you would like to have 3 suggestions for the Tagliatelle starter (with some meat) you pay a 3€ surcharge! The other 2 offers were not an alternative: soup/salad. The same with the main course 7 € surcharge! It would be more realistic to make 2 menu suggestions. However, they try to hide the prices. As a starter there is a huge piece of bread with butter, afterward you have the feeling that it should be filling, maybe the menu isn't...The ambience, a beautiful old pharmacy, but as the saying goes: not the cage, the BIRD is chirping.

We went for my birthday. The price for the food was completely unjustified but the service and location was nice 😊

Set in an old pharmacy, the place has a great ambiance. There's a fixed 3 course menu for dinner,with emphasis on vegetation based dishes (though there was also a meat dish). We really enjoyed the food, it was unique and tasty. The carrot soup was exceptional. We even enjoyed the wierd mushroom based desert which was served for the first time. Service was truly friendly and attentive.

Great restaurant in Berlin, definitely worth a visit and you do need to book. 3 course meal with a few options per course and really good value for money, the food was absolutely delicious. I would go back just for the venison main.

The atmosphere was really nice and the wine wasn't bad, but it was really disappointing that from the moment we entered at 10 o'clock, a person who looked like a manager warned us that the restaurant would be closing soon. Sighing at the guest sitting next to us, taking away their glass, or making a loud noise on purpose is a classic tactic, but I don't think it's necessary to do that every time we get into trouble. In the end, we couldn't resist and left at 11:15.

Highly recommended for wine enthusiasts. A variety of snacks(?) paired with wine. If you enjoy a course equal to the number of people, it will cost over 200,000 won per person. Just do half the course and add a few dishes.

This place is gorgeous. An amazing atmosphere. Extremely attentive service. Good cocktails and wine. Food a nice twist on the normal and well-presented. Easy to while away hours here.

We had the pleasure of dining at the ORA Restaurant & Wine in Berlin. An authentic jewel, an old pharmacy, old shelves, glass bottles that convey a unique charm.  The atmosphere is welcoming and at the same time refined. Perfect for a dinner for two, a cocktail and a glass of excellent wine. The service is impeccable: the staff is very kind and knowledgeable. A special thanks to Serena who recommended an excellent glass of white wine accompanied by oysters. Amazing combination! My mouth is still watering! I highly recommend NOW to anyone who wants to discover a unique environment, full of allure and contemporary. A visit is a must!

Service was top notch, the place was too loud for an Intimate dinner, after an hour spent I felt drunk from lights and other table noises. Food was ok but nothing to go there for. Good wine selection.

I had the pleasure of visiting Ora Restaurant in Berlin and I must say it was an exceptional experience. The restaurant is located in an old pharmacy that has barely been remodeled, giving the place a unique and stylish charm. The atmosphere is just perfect for a restaurant. The food was absolutely fantastic. The presentation of the dishes was impressive and the quality of the food spoke for itself. Every dish was a delight and the menu was clear and well structured. A special highlight was that the sous chef Vincent personally brought out the dishes and explained everything to me again. I thought that was really great and it made the experience even more special. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. They took the time to explain everything to me and made me feel very comfortable throughout my entire visit. The service was first class and made the entire experience even more enjoyable. The price-performance ratio was also absolutely right. For the quality of the food and the excellent service, the prices were more than fair. Overall, my visit to Restaurant Ora was a thoroughly enjoyable experience and I can only warmly recommend it. 1A!
