I was particularly pleased with the diverse range of vegan sushi. The appetizers and sushi were very tasty. The staff was friendly and you didn't have to wait long. Unfortunately there are only a few seats outside, which are located directly on Alexanderstrasse. Nevertheless, I would recommend the restaurant to everyone (especially in bad weather).

Very nice restaurant from the outside. Inside there is a lack of coziness. Everything is rather practical. What should be emphasized is that we got the most beautiful table. The service was very quick - a little too quick for my liking. A little more flexibility when answering questions about wine would have been desirable. The sushi was good. My table neighbor's noodles weren't visually eye-catching, but they were probably ok. The flambéed bananas tasted very good. A little more ice cream would have been nice - but a little less banana.

Good morning, We went there on a Saturday at 1200 for the buffet. There are plenty of parking spaces available. Directly in front and behind the house. If that's not enough, you can also park across the street. The rooms are very clean and have modern Asian furnishings. We decided on the buffet. As a starter there was a soup that was sweet and then had a slight spiciness at the end. I found this very tasty. Then I dedicated myself to the buffet. There were all the classic dishes I expected. For dessert there was even jelly pudding with vanilla sauce, which I was very happy about. For me, that always rounds off a buffet :) The drinks are always available in large glasses (0.4l). The mineral water is the really good San Pellegrino Acqua Minerale. Ultimately we paid €120 for 6 people. 4 adults and 2 children (9 and 14 years). For me, Ooni Sushi is a clear recommendation.

It was delicious, but the problem is that there is no knife at the table. The waitress was visibly annoyed that we ate in peace. We left at 9:30 p.m. after you couldn't ignore the eye rolls from the wait staff and the scrubbing in the kitchen. It's a shame for us that another visit is out of the question.

We was in buffet, from 11:30-14:30, it was no so large, but sushi were delicious.

We always come to the all you can eat lunch buffet. Everything is always delicious and just great! Small but really nice and unbeatable for 12.90 euros. The service is always very nice! Toilets are extremely clean, which is unfortunately something you rarely find. Thank you! Keep it up!

I've ordered there several times. Prices are on the higher end but not too expensive either. But the quality of the food is more than adequate for the price! Taste great too. Always my pleasure! The delivery alone is a bit long and the times given are very unreliable.

We were here for the lunch buffet. It was a bit disappointing as there wasn't much choice. A soup, rice, fried noodles, duck, beef and chicken, vegetables, mushroom fries, chicken nuggets, small spring rolls and some pretty simple sushi. For dessert there was a baked banana and every now and then there was something like red jelly, but it was quickly gone. For a Japanese sushi restaurant, I wanted more sushi. And more desserts and another appetizer/starter soup. It wasn't replenished so quickly either. So when we arrived, around 1 p.m., the remains of the preliminary round were still lying in the containers for a long time. Unfortunately, compared to other Asian lunch buffets, Oono doesn't do so well.

I visited Oono on a recommendation and was not disappointed! The sushi was super tasty as were the udon noodles! The price-performance ratio is right! Gladly again!!

Addendum dated June 14, 2024 Yesterday and last week I went to OONO again. It was fantastic. Thank you for everything. Addendum from today SA July 29th 23rd Today I had time to eat sushi again in Oldenburg. It was great again. This time there is the fifth star for the sushi. It was just good. Super fresh fish (look at the photos) delicious soup and salads. Mrs. Wei with her young man as waitress and the young ladies as waitress was simply perfect. Thank you for making me feel so at home with you. It was very nice. I would love to come back. I was there alone and wanted to get an impression. Ms. Wei, the waitress, was super great and very, very friendly. Ms. Wei (blue sky) was very attentive and helped me choose. I felt very comfortable with her. The food was also very good, there was nothing to complain about at all. The price-performance ratio is right. I will definitely come back again and am looking forward to it. And thank you again Ms. Wei for replying to my emails.

Hello. We had the buffet at lunchtime. The selection was sufficient for the price. The food all tasted very good. The only thing that bothered me were the spring rolls. Actually these were just made of dough. I would perhaps have liked a vanilla sauce for dessert. My girlfriend had sushi and was happy with it. For a lunch buffet for such a price, you can't complain... I'd be happy to come back... Another positive thing was that it was very quiet in the restaurant and I also found the ambience very appealing...

The music in the background didn't fit the ambience, Therefore, UNFORTUNATELY a star deduction in this area. Everything else was TOP = thank you very much and I would be happy to do it again!

Online reservation worked for us. We also got a reasonable table. Instead of cards there were tablets, we didn't really know whether we should order using them, unfortunately no one explained that. After we had put our selected dishes in the “shopping cart”, a waitress came and took the order. Unfortunately a sushi roll was forgotten. But since this wasn't on the invoice, that's ok. For the high price you can definitely eat better sushi in Oldenburg. (Two people, just full, one drink each ≈ 63€) OONO is sure to be well received by people who particularly enjoy eating with their eyes. The rice was rather dry on the outside of the rolls (maybe it was pre-made?) There was some kind of insect trap on the windowsill behind us, which I personally find a bit disgusting. Service was short, but nice. Card payment is possible.

Overall, an ambivalent impression. Tasty sushi, but not great. Visually attractively presented. But very expensive. Service unfriendly. Interior design and ambience acceptable. High volume without music. Vegetarian selection manageable. Vegan selection minimal, but probably customizable if desired.

However, you should note that although you get a 10% discount if you order via their website, the order will take much longer to be delivered than if you order via Lieferando. The delivery driver was very friendly and we got wakame as a gift because of the long waiting time, which is very friendly. I'll definitely order here more often. Addendum: I would still order again at any time, but you really don't need to try the all you can eat option, which would only be 1 star from my point of view. Nothing was refilled even though everyone was still sitting. Even if guests asked for something, it was hardly refilled and was immediately empty. The selection was also rather poor. I was in Oono now in February and yesterday. Both times I was pretty cold in the restaurant. The miso soup was very good and, above all, hot. It got a little warmer then. The ambience doesn't invite you to linger for any length of time. The sushi was only mediocre in taste. The classics were very good, but the roles were less so; what was in the middle didn't taste good at all and unfortunately couldn't be defined. There is still room for improvement! Maybe things will be better the next time you visit Oldenburg. I hope so. Otherwise I'll probably just order the classics. However, the service was very good.

Very nice restaurant. We were here for Valentine's Day. Not crowded and you felt very well looked after. The waitresses we had were absolutely sweet mice. The food was fantastic! I have been to many sushi restaurants and have to say that this one is by far the best. My husband has been through more sushi restaurants and agrees with this one too. In our opinion, the prices are very reasonable and the amount you get is filling. We had the Ninja Roll, Beef Udon Bowl, Shrimp Gyoza and House Special Rolls (with eel). All highly recommended. The atmosphere in the restaurant was very cozy and has traditional Japanese elements, which gives the whole thing a great charm. Our new favorite restaurant! ☺️

One of the best sushi shops in Oldenburg! The Nut Chicken Rolls are unique in Oldenburg and so delicious for those who don't necessarily like fish! 🫶🏼 We really enjoy ordering here! Ich habe Sushi bestellt und war enttäuscht von der Qualität des gegarten Lachses. Bei der Lieferung war der Lachs bereits hart und dunkel, die Konsistenz war nicht appetitlich. Die übrigen Sushis waren zwar lecker, aber diejenigen mit Lachs mussten leider entsorgt werden. Zusätzlich war die Lieferzeit von zwei Stunden unangemessen lang.

Das Mittagsbuffet ist leider eine Enttäuschung auf ganzer Linie. Wenig Auswahl, dafür der übliche billige Chinesenkram, wenig vegetarisches Sushi. Die Angestellte steht mit Argusaugen hinter dem Buffet, so dass man sich kaum traut, was (Sushi) zu nehmen. Das Konzept stimmt hier überhaupt nicht. Wir hatten was anderes erwartet. Toll wäre gewesen, wenn es eine grössere Auswahl an Sushi, auch gerne komplett vegetarisch, gegeben hätte, dazu verschiedene Ramen und japanische Reis und Udon Nudelgerichte, Tempura mit japanischer Chilimayo, etc...dann würde meiner Meinung nach die Bude brennen. Abends dann All-you-can eat mit Bestellung über Tablet... Aber so? Das ist alles nix und ich würde mich nicht wundern, wenn Oono bald wieder schließen muss, so leer wie der Laden immer ist.

Wir sind zum zweiten Mal hier und wieder sehr begeistert. Egal, was wir hier probieren - die Speisen sind von sehr guter Qualität und Frische und perfekt ausbalanciert von den Aromen und Gewürzen her. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Hab hier schon oft bestellt und auch im Restaurant gegessen. Sehr gutes Sushi!

Wir haben uns Essen liefern lassen und hatten unter anderem die Teriyaki Chicken Rice Bowl bestellt, doch leider war das sehr enttäuschend und das Fleisch nicht wirklich essbar. Schade, vor allem bei dem Preis!

Wir waren gestern mit unseren Freunden, das erste Mal im Oono. Wir waren begeistert. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam, schnell, freundlich und trotzdem nicht zu aufdringlich. Das Essen kam super schnell und alles war echt lecker. Einzige Kritikpunkt: In der Speisekarte sind keine Bilder vom Sushi, dafür bekommt man parallel ein Tablett gereicht um das Sushi angucken zu können. Das würden wir uns anders wünschen, aber das ist meckern auf hohem Niveau, daher fließt das auch nicht mit in die Bewertung ein. Wir werden auf jeden Fall nochmal wieder kommen, bisher das Beste Sushi was wir gegessen haben und wir haben schon viel Sushi probiert. Auch die Preis-Leistung stimmt. Sehr empathisches Personal. Aufmerksam und freundlich. Extrawünsche und Umbestellungen waren überhaupt kein Problem. Auch gab es keine Probleme, als wir uns einige Sachen zum Probieren bestellt haben. Es wurde angeboten, alles auf einem Teller zu servieren, so daß wir frei wählen konnten Sehr guter Service Immer gerne wieder 🤩

wir waren nach langer Zeit das erst Mal wieder bei einem Japaner. Der Service war ausgesprochen gut. Alle sehr bemüht. Das Ambiente für ein jap. Restaurant sehr angenehmen. die Qualität der Speisen war OK, es war nicht so überzeugend. wir die guten Bewertungen es vermuten ließen. Es hätte gern etwas mehr Würze haben können. Da das Restaurant aber gut besucht war. wissen die Gäste es wohl zu schätzen. Alles in Allem gute 4 Sterne, da das PLV stimmt.

Unserer Meinung nach das beste Sushi Oldenburgs. Hervorragende Qualität und vor allem nicht immer Standart Sushi. Sushi für uns definitiv nur noch hier 👍

Ambiente modern und in der Wirkung etwas japanisch kühl, was aber keineswegs negativ zu bewerten, sondern uns eher stimmig erscheint. Was diesen modernen Einrichtungen aber generell fehlt, ist das etwas heimelig, gemütliche, das zum längeren Aufenthalt und gemütlichem beieinander einlädt. Man mag in solch modernen Restaurants grundsätzlich nur maximal zum Essen verweilen. Für den stundenlangen Aufenthalt bei gemütlichen Snacks fehlt es eben doch am nötigen Ambiente. Beim Service hätten wir uns als eher unerfahrene Gäste, etwas mehr Unterstützung durch die Bedienung gewünscht. Es war nun auch nicht gerade Hochbetrieb und bei der Masse an Personal wäre das sicherlich möglich gewesen. Da würden ein paar nette, einfache Fragen ja bereits ausreichen. Zum Beispiel bei einer Bestellung von Edamame-Bohnen die Frage, ob der Gast vertraut ist mit dem Gericht und weiß, wie diese gegessen werden. Oder ein paar Erklärungen wo die Unterschiede zwischen den Sushi-Sorten liegen, wie man diese isst, was so die typischen japanischen Traditionen sind. Natürlich muss man dies nicht jedem Gast aufzwingen, aber wenigstens danach fragen könnte man. Auch wenn Sushi sich inzwischen auch bei uns einer recht großen Beliebtheit erfreut, sollte man als Restaurant immer noch davon ausgehen, dass neue Gäste diese Art des Essens für sich entdecken wollen. Schade auch, dass, wenn gezielt nach diesem Service gefragt wird, man leider keine wirklichen Angebote diesbezüglich erhält. Sehr unübersichtlich und auch hier ziemlich alleingelassen fühlten wir uns mit der Präsentation von Speisekarte und Tablett. Auf dem Tablett ist die Speisekarte anders als gesagt eben nicht deckungsgleich der Speisekarte im Restaurant. Allein schon, weil nur die Speisekarte die komplette Getränkeauswahl enthält, die man im Webshop (denn nichts anderes findet man auf dem Tablett, als die Seite des Webshops für den Lieferservice) natürlich nicht findet. Auch die Aussage, "hier haben sie alles mit Bildern" bei der Übergabe der Tabletts stimmt eben bedauerlicherweise nicht. Gefühlt sind nur etwa die Hälfte der Gerichte bebildert. Detailangaben zu den Gerichten (vegan, vegetarisch, Zutaten) findet man ebenfalls in der gedruckten Speisekarte meist schneller oder sogar ausführlicher. Hier werden die Möglichkeiten der Tablett-Lösung bei weitem nicht ausgeschöpft. Völlig unklar war einigen Beteiligten unseres Tisches auch, ob denn nun eine Bedienung an den Tisch kommt, um eine Bestellung aufzunehmen, oder ob man sogar über die Webseite auf den Tabletts seine Bestellung für seinen Tisch aufgeben müsse. Auch hier fühlten sich einige Gäste unseres Tisches ziemlich alleingelassen. Vor allem die älteren Gäste mit über 70 waren hier sichtlich überfordert. Von einem guten Service hätte ich hier etwas mehr Feingefühl und Gespür für den Gast erwartet. Auch hier fehlte das Angebot, den Gast zu unterstützen und zu begleiten. Die Bedienung war keineswegs unfreundlich, aber von einer Spitzenbewertung ist so etwas eben nun mal auch ein deutliches Stück entfernt. Daher können wir in dieser Kategorie auch nur 3 Punkte vergeben. Zum eigentlichen Essen. Die Gerichte waren üppig dimensioniert und absolut lecker. Für sein Geld bekommt man ordentlich was auf den Teller. Alles schmeckte frisch und war appetitlich angerichtet. Wir hatten von Bowls über Sushi, Suppen, Gyosa bis hin zu in Tempura Teig gebackenen Gerichten alles quer durch die Speisekarte und alle Gerichte haben überzeugt. Wem also die zuvor genannten Punkte in Bezug auf Ambiente und Service nicht so wichtig sind und wem es vor allem darum geht für sein Geld ein wirklich gutes Essen zu bekommen, der ist hier sicherlich genau richtig.

Ob nach Hause geliefert oder im Restaurant, es ist immer sehr lecker.

Wir bestellen regelmäßig bei Oono, letztes Mal waren die Portionen schon äußerst klein, wir hatten uns gewundert, dachten dies sei vielleicht einmalig. Heute wieder dieselbe Bestellung (für 46 Euro), wir sind zu zweit nicht satt geworden. Die Inside Out sind nicht mal mehr halb so groß wie früher, zudem war es geschmacklich leider ebenfalls nicht mehr gut. Sehr schade, es war sonst das beste Sushi in OL, nun anscheinend nicht mehr.
