Best mega schnitzel place in town! They do a mean XL schnitzel which can quite easily fill up two people. The food tastes amazing and the atmosphere is cosy and warm like your classic german fare. They are quite popular, so make sure to make a reservation in advance before you go.

We went for schnitzel today, I ordered a cordon bleu, the meat was still completely raw in the middle and not cooked through. When I asked the waiter about it, he took the portion back and charged me for the whole cordon bleu despite this mistake. We've eaten there many times, but the cuisine has seriously deteriorated.

The food is ok but expensive. The service is rude. I will never eat there again.

My first schnitzel ever – and what a schnitzel! I fell in love with Uncle Otto in Germany at first bite. Since then I've tried schnitzel in many places, but none come close to Uncle Otto's. Everything is just right here: the crispy, golden brown breading, the tender meat and the incomparable taste, which immediately transports me to the cozy atmosphere of a real German inn. But it's not just the food that's outstanding - the service is just as fantastic. The staff is attentive, friendly and ensures that you feel completely comfortable. The cozy furnishings and authentic ambience make the experience perfect. One thing is certain: As soon as I'm back in Germany, Uncle Otto will be my first point of contact. An absolute must for anyone looking for a real schnitzel experience!

I got the XXL cream schnitzel with spaetzle and half a light barrel. The schnitzel was 600g and very tasty Spaetzle and sauce were also delicious, there were actually too many of them so I just took it home. Beer was really tasty. It was forgotten at first but I got it afterwards. Nice restaurant and comfortable seats. At some point I might try the monster schnitzel with 1200g on my own.

It's a must when you're in Stuttgart... Ambience very cool......service great....price performance shockingly great....we'll be here on Monday until Sunday and will enjoy the menu...thanks to Uncle Otto's team

An unserem Anreisetag hatten wir großen Hunger. Da "Onkel Otto" in der Nähe unseres Hotels lag und wir Schnitzel sehr gerne essen, schauten wir dort vorbei. Obwohl wir nicht reserviert hatten, bekamen wir gleich einen Tisch. Kurz nach unseren Getränken, kamen auch schon unsere Schnitzel, einen Salat vom Buffet zu holen, blieb gar keine Zeit mehr. Was im Nachhinein auch besser war, da es eine wirklich große Portion war. Die Schnitzel und die Soße waren nichts besonderes, eher langweilig und fade. Soße hätte etwas mehr sein können. Aus Platzmangel auf dem Teller, konnte man diese erstmal nicht über das Schnitzel geben. Da es Sonntag war, kostete jedes XL Schnitzel mit kleinem Salat 16,90€. Was wir überlesen hatten, wenn die Beilage anders gewählt wurde, als zu diesem Schnitzel gehörig, kostete dies 1€ extra. Dies fanden wir ein "No Go". Ich möchte zu einem Schnitzel keine Nudeln, sondern lieber Pommes. Die Bedienungen waren nett. Die Ausstattung sehr rustikal. Auf dem Boden lagen einige Pommes und Krümel auf der Bank.

On the day we arrived we were very hungry. Since "Uncle Otto" was close to our hotel and we really like eating schnitzel, we stopped by there. Even though we didn't make a reservation, we got a table straight away. Shortly after our drinks, our schnitzels arrived and there was no time left to get a salad from the buffet. Which in hindsight was better since it was a really big portion. The schnitzel and the sauce were nothing special, rather boring and bland. Sauce could have been a little more. Due to lack of space on the plate, you couldn't put it over the schnitzel at first. Since it was Sunday, each XL schnitzel with a small salad cost €16.90. What we had missed was that if the side dish was chosen other than that which goes with this schnitzel, it would cost an extra €1. We found this a “no go”. I don't want pasta with a schnitzel, I'd rather have fries. The waitresses were nice. The furnishings are very rustic. There were some chips on the floor and crumbs on the bench.

Real juice shop. You call 3 days before your visit and apparently reservations are not possible. Reservations are suddenly possible at the door and then people are allowed in without a reservation because they have one more person to spend on sales even though we waited 45 minutes in front of the door. Anti-social behavior at its best. It doesn't work at all.

We were here for the first time today. Got a table straight away. The staff is very nice. We ordered Schnitzel xxl and Kässpätzle. The order came quickly and was really big. My Jägerschnitzel is one of the best I have eaten, as is the Kässpätzle. We'd love to come back

Large portions that are completely fair for the price. The food tastes good and there is nothing wrong with it. In terms of size, it offers the wow effect, but unfortunately not in terms of taste. The service staff is friendly. The ambience is also worth 4 stars, apart from the sanitary facilities.

They can definitely make schnitzel! It was really tasty and the portion of croquettes was more than enough. In my opinion, the Sunday offer is very worthwhile. Service and length of stay can still be improved. We were only there for about an hour and personally had the feeling that they were trying to bring in as many guests as possible in one evening. But in and of itself I can't blame you :)

Small shop, hardly noticed, we then entered and we were immediately assigned a table for two people. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Then the food: an XXL schnitzel with spaetzle. And I have to say: this is by far the best schnitzel I've ever had. Super tasty and really a huge portion. This is THE schnitzel restaurant and we will 100% come back here👏

Local with a specialty of snitel. You have snits of all kinds and of large sizes. After what I consume, I would not be able to eat the whole portion. They also have some local beers, but for beer, the prices seem a bit steep for what they offer.

That was the best schnitzel I've ever eaten. And I've really eaten a lot of schnitzel in my life. Huge portions, super tasty and ultrasound too. Although it was relatively full. I will definitely come back and can only highly recommend it. Anyone who orders an xxl schnitzel here should really be hungry. Incredibly good prices, nice service too.

Excellent abundant meat and delicious croquettes!!!

Well we went here to eat a really good schnitzel. According to the reviews here, this is supposed to be great. After entering the pub, which has an old charm, we find a seat at a table. 4 adults and three children. The young waitress quickly took the order. Drinks came quickly, but the waitress didn't know which drink belonged to which person. No problem. The schnitzels all came to our table five minutes later. Just by looking at them you could tell that the schnitzel and side dishes were not what you were hoping for for the money. The meat contained leftovers, layers of fat and tendons, the noodles were so overcooked that they were already falling apart. The sauce is a finished product. The salad with a few Bürger Maultaschen had a dressing on it that had already been tossed. I've had many schnitzels but this was the worst I've ever had. In addition, everyone had stomach pain afterwards.

Cordonbleu was really tasty and great! Can only recommend it.

We love the place! Rustic atmosphere, but super welcoming. The attendants are super kind and attentive. The food is wonderful, a giant steak and lots of fries! The beer is always cold and in large mugs! I highly recommend it! But take cash as the card machine may not be working.

Luckily we had reserved, others unfortunately had to leave. It's very cozy there, the staff are friendly, drinks came quickly. The food came promptly and the restaurant was full. Everything was very good, be it fries, spaetzle, pathos, meat and sauce - nothing was overcooked or 'soggy', as you could read in other places. Käsespätzle were also very good with plenty of cheese. A second schnitzel dish costs €5 - so even the best eater won't leave the table hungry for little money. FACT: definitely recommended!!

As an Austrian, I have high expectations of a schnitzel and I was not disappointed. On the contrary - this was one of the most tender and best schnitzels I have eaten in a long time - definitely recommended!

Overall just a good all around spot.

Wenn wir nach Stuttgart fahren wird dieser Ausflug immer mit einem Abendessen geplant. Es ist immer noch Super lecker dort. Auch die Bedienungen und der Chef sind so nett und Kinderfreundlich. Kann nichts natives sagen. Trotz der gestiegen Preise finden wir das die Schnitzel immer noch super Lecker sind und gerade wenn sie auch dünn sind schmecken sie um so besser. Wer essen geht, sollte nicht auf's Geld kucken, sonst kann man auch zu Hause bleiben!

It didn't blow me away- I ordered Coke Zero and Pepsi arrived. I think you could say that. The schnitzels weren't bad but not particularly good either, the meat was hardly seasoned. I basically expected more. The mushroom sauce on the Jägerschnitzel was salty and I don't like thick fries. I asked beforehand whether the fries were thick or thin, but the friendly waitress didn't know.

Nice atmosphere and service but the food is mid its not great ots not bad its just a decent meal for a good price. Would recommend if you want to overload on meat

The two of us were spontaneously looking for a delicious schnitzel. Our expectations were exceeded. The schnitzel was very tasty, crispy and went well with the cream sauce. We had the XL version and couldn't quite manage both of them. Unfortunately we forgot the packed leftovers at the table, otherwise we could have enjoyed schnitzel the next day. Will definitely come back 😊

Small place with about 30 seats. Specializing in schnitzel. Cooked in different variations.

Where we were there, the toilets in the lower area were so unhygienic/totally filthy, so we decided to get up and leave... If the toilet looks like that, you don't want to know. what the kitchen looks like or what the hygiene is like. Uncle Otto used to be a real authority on things Schnitzel, but that doesn't work at all. Sorry, but maybe this negative review has to be a sign that things are changing for the better.

There were 9 of us here and we all ate a schnitzel. everyone raved. Food was perfect, thank you very much. Prices are relatively high, but what do you expect in the middle of Stuttgart. Portions are also correspondingly large. Personally, the ambience isn't that important to me here. Quality of the food is right!

Local bistro, full, no seats, good luck someone canceled. It's a schnitzel day. The whole pork chop is 16.9. It's a huge pork chop that can't be eaten by two people. It tastes so good. In today's Germany, where fried pork chops are often 30, there are dishes with this price. And in Stuttgart, check out Oktoberfest Munich. A roast chicken costs 60 euros. It’s so conscientious here. Highly recommended

Typical cutlet, tasty and filling, typical local combinations, worth trying

Went there for lunch on the weekend in the summer - the place was full, we just managed to get a place on the terrace. Food of the usual Uncle Otto quality, but the service was outstanding (José took care of us). Mega friendly, fast and humorous - always a pleasure!

An unrestrained selection of big or gigantic schnitzels - so the variation comes from the sides and the size of the patty. Nice atmosphere too, ysärimusa playlist and proper service.

The food was OK, but nothing special. The service was very hectic. When I wanted to pay the bill for 2 people of €48.60, I experienced for the first time how the waiter asked me for a tip, whether 10% or 15%. That had already shocked me, but when I told him up to €50, he simply typed €53 into the card reader, thinking I wouldn't see it. After I asked him about it, he tried to cover it up with “You’ll get a few bon bons for that.” Absolute madness. I will never eat there again and I advise everyone not to.

Schnitzel was good, spaetzle was dry and tasteless. Unfortunately when I paid I was told that I had to pay at least 5 euros more because of a “new card payment fee”. Unfortunately they thought that I was a foreigner even though I have been living in Germany for 10 years!!! Please foreigners people be careful!!!

After we went to the other Uncle Otto (Wangener Höhe) without eating, service was bad, cold and dark and now this Uncle Otto has also accused us of defamation, I won't go there anymore!! That's why we tried this restaurant in Stuttgart South! The atmosphere was very rustic and not exactly inviting! The service scored points, very friendly and accommodating, the food was also delicious and huge! The portions are really amazing and we took half with us and didn't have any food the next day😉 We'd love to come back

Easy access from the U14. Huge portions - make sure you're hungry when you go. Pretty good value too. Tried the maultaschen because I knew I wasn't hungry enough for the schnitzel and even that was very filling. Got a liter of the Keller Pils but, in keeping with massive portions, 3L was an option. Nice cozy atmosphere. Got there at 18:00 on a Wed and was seated right away.

Schnitzel in tre formati: normale, XL e XXL. La versione XL è grande come un normale piatto da pizza. Ristorante che offre anche piatti tipici svevi ma sicuramente chi ci và, lo fa per la bistecca. Spettacolare: cotta benissimo ed in formato gigante. Alla domenica ci sono anche promozioni interessanti sulle schnitzel. Prezzi economici. Ambiente da birreria tedesca ma servizio veloce.

The 5 stars are given for the harmonious price/performance ratio, not because you can find Michelin cuisine/service/ambience here.

I go to Uncle Otto when I want pork schnitzel. Large, well breaded, with fries, ketchup, mayo. Not for every day, but when body and mind call for schnitzel together, then Uncle Otto. It's not the same everywhere else.

Was there twice within 2 weeks. The first time I had a sausage salad. He was terrible! The sausage had a very soft consistency and the whole salad was full of pickled peppers, although the liquid from the jar was probably also the basis for the vinaigrette. After asking, I was given half-dried bread from the plastic packaging you buy in the supermarket. The second time I had bolognese schnitzel. The spaghetti was undrained and totally wet. This meant that the cold sauce didn't stick to it. The schnitzel was huge, but the meat was full of tendons and partly raw. I used to love going here, but the food was worlds better! The service was very friendly, there's nothing to complain about. Even though the schnitzel flat rate has been abolished, the food is still far too cheap! Maybe they should just raise the prices or make the portions smaller. Because what good is cheap and plentiful food if it doesn't taste good? Too bad!

This is a must visit if you are in Stuttgart. This place is extremely good. Really nice staff, which both speak German and English. The serve a really nice steak (300 gram)
