Good value and polite staff. Massive portions, you get a great bang for the buck. Was it the best? Nah, was it good for how much you got, completely! Had a bit of a smoke smell, but not too bad. Had the tiramisu for dessert, was still a bit frozen, but was still delicious and had a nice presentation. Typical laid-back spot. Went in on a Thursday night at 7, didn't need reservations. Overall just a good all around spot.

A must if you are in Stuttgart. Great offers on Sunday. The schnitzel is tasty and big! Quality is also good. To try!

It didn't blow me away- I ordered Coke Zero and Pepsi arrived. I think you could say that. The schnitzels weren't bad but not particularly good either, the meat was hardly seasoned. I basically expected more. The mushroom sauce on the Jägerschnitzel was salty and I don't like thick fries. I asked beforehand whether the fries were thick or thin, but the friendly waitress didn't know.

Nice atmosphere and service but the food is mid its not great ots not bad its just a decent meal for a good price. Would recommend if you want to overload on meat

The restaurant is highly recommended. The price-performance ratio is right. The salad bar is simply great with a lot of selection and looks very attractive. The service is top.

The two of us were spontaneously looking for a delicious schnitzel. Our expectations were exceeded. The schnitzel was very tasty, crispy and went well with the cream sauce. We had the XL version and couldn't quite manage both of them. Unfortunately we forgot the packed leftovers at the table, otherwise we could have enjoyed schnitzel the next day. Will definitely come back 😊

A great restaurant with authentic German cuisine and a rustic, cozy atmosphere! The schnitzels are a highlight – super tasty and available in many variations with a wide variety of side dishes. The quality of the food is outstanding and the value for money is unbeatable. An absolutely recommended place for anyone who wants to enjoy traditional German cuisine in a cozy atmosphere.

Small place with about 30 seats. Specializing in schnitzel. Cooked in different variations.

Where we were there, the toilets in the lower area were so unhygienic/totally filthy, so we decided to get up and leave... If the toilet looks like that, you don't want to know. what the kitchen looks like or what the hygiene is like. Uncle Otto used to be a real authority on things Schnitzel, but that doesn't work at all. Sorry, but maybe this negative review has to be a sign that things are changing for the better.

Small, nice environment, family atmosphere!

There were 9 of us here and we all ate a schnitzel. everyone raved. Food was perfect, thank you very much. Prices are relatively high, but what do you expect in the middle of Stuttgart. Portions are also correspondingly large. Personally, the ambience isn't that important to me here. Quality of the food is right!

Local bistro, full, no seats, good luck someone canceled. It's a schnitzel day. The whole pork chop is 16.9. It's a huge pork chop that can't be eaten by two people. It tastes so good. In today's Germany, where fried pork chops are often 30, there are dishes with this price. And in Stuttgart, check out Oktoberfest Munich. A roast chicken costs 60 euros. It’s so conscientious here. Highly recommended

Typical cutlet, tasty and filling, typical local combinations, worth trying

Went there for lunch on the weekend in the summer - the place was full, we just managed to get a place on the terrace. Food of the usual Uncle Otto quality, but the service was outstanding (José took care of us). Mega friendly, fast and humorous - always a pleasure!

An unrestrained selection of big or gigantic schnitzels - so the variation comes from the sides and the size of the patty. Nice atmosphere too, ysärimusa playlist and proper service.

The food was OK, but nothing special. The service was very hectic. When I wanted to pay the bill for 2 people of €48.60, I experienced for the first time how the waiter asked me for a tip, whether 10% or 15%. That had already shocked me, but when I told him up to €50, he simply typed €53 into the card reader, thinking I wouldn't see it. After I asked him about it, he tried to cover it up with “You’ll get a few bon bons for that.” Absolute madness. I will never eat there again and I advise everyone not to.

Food was okay but too expensive for the quality. Schnitzel was good, but the spaetzle was dry. Service very unprofessional. Here you are also very intrusively asked for tips, which I also find very unprofessional. I wouldn't go there again...

When you made a reservation request, you hung up on the phone straight away. I won't have to go here in the future if you talk to the guests like that. Impossible behavior.

Schnitzel was good, spaetzle was dry and tasteless. Unfortunately when I paid I was told that I had to pay at least 5 euros more because of a “new card payment fee”. Unfortunately they thought that I was a foreigner even though I have been living in Germany for 10 years!!! Please foreigners people be careful!!!

After we went to the other Uncle Otto (Wangener Höhe) without eating, service was bad, cold and dark and now this Uncle Otto has also accused us of defamation, I won't go there anymore!! That's why we tried this restaurant in Stuttgart South! The atmosphere was very rustic and not exactly inviting! The service scored points, very friendly and accommodating, the food was also delicious and huge! The portions are really amazing and we took half with us and didn't have any food the next day😉 We'd love to come back

Easy access from the U14. Huge portions - make sure you're hungry when you go. Pretty good value too. Tried the maultaschen because I knew I wasn't hungry enough for the schnitzel and even that was very filling. Got a liter of the Keller Pils but, in keeping with massive portions, 3L was an option. Nice cozy atmosphere. Got there at 18:00 on a Wed and was seated right away.

Schnitzel in tre formati: normale, XL e XXL. La versione XL è grande come un normale piatto da pizza. Ristorante che offre anche piatti tipici svevi ma sicuramente chi ci và, lo fa per la bistecca. Spettacolare: cotta benissimo ed in formato gigante. Alla domenica ci sono anche promozioni interessanti sulle schnitzel. Prezzi economici. Ambiente da birreria tedesca ma servizio veloce.

The 5 stars are given for the harmonious price/performance ratio, not because you can find Michelin cuisine/service/ambience here.

I go to Uncle Otto when I want pork schnitzel. Large, well breaded, with fries, ketchup, mayo. Not for every day, but when body and mind call for schnitzel together, then Uncle Otto. It's not the same everywhere else.

Was there twice within 2 weeks. The first time I had a sausage salad. He was terrible! The sausage had a very soft consistency and the whole salad was full of pickled peppers, although the liquid from the jar was probably also the basis for the vinaigrette. After asking, I was given half-dried bread from the plastic packaging you buy in the supermarket. The second time I had bolognese schnitzel. The spaghetti was undrained and totally wet. This meant that the cold sauce didn't stick to it. The schnitzel was huge, but the meat was full of tendons and partly raw. I used to love going here, but the food was worlds better! The service was very friendly, there's nothing to complain about. Even though the schnitzel flat rate has been abolished, the food is still far too cheap! Maybe they should just raise the prices or make the portions smaller. Because what good is cheap and plentiful food if it doesn't taste good? Too bad!

This is a must visit if you are in Stuttgart. This place is extremely good. Really nice staff, which both speak German and English. The serve a really nice steak (300 gram)

It is the kingdom of the Schnitzel (so to speak, a cutlet). So good and so huge I only ate it here. Excellent meat quality and perfect execution for frying and breading. The different combinations of side dishes are fabulous and at times courageous, such as the possibility of getting a second Schnitzel at a reduced price. It is a German Gasthaus with this classic and functional furniture. The limited parking facilities are a bit annoying. The service is very fast and the price is very convenient. If you are here in Stuttgart it is a MUST!!

Honest schnitzel, but we recommend getting the XL and not the XXL schnitzel if you don't want to risk a heart attack.

The food is amazing. The service was pretty good even when we arrived like 20 minutes before the kitchen closed. The sauces are good and it adds a variety to Schnitzel. They have a good variety of beverages and also have soups and salads 🥗 You can pay with card from 10€. I recommend the Schnitzel Ungarisch✨

Ci mettono poco a servirvi, infatti siamo rimasti impressionanti dalla velocità e da come sia veramente ottimo il cibo, si capisce che è il loro mestiere. Non ho riscontrato nessun problema, lo consiglio a chiunque. Se pensate che la XXL Schnitzel sia piccola vi sbagliate, quindi per evitare sprechi su un cibo di qualità consiglio di non fare i fenomeni ed ordinare tantissima roba, perché è un vero peccato, comunque se non doveste riuscire a finire il pasto, potete chiedere di farlo impacchettare e portarvelo a casa. Veramente ottimo!!!

The schnitzels were 1a. The salad from the counter was fresh and okay. I didn't like the spaetzle at all. Pretty overcooked. Ambiance was so-so. The price on Sunday was decisive.

As always, a great experience! The meat is tender, very tasty and very reasonably priced and not overpriced. The service is very friendly and funny. Since it has been the same for years, that certainly speaks for a great climate. The ambience is very rustic and the music from the 70s-90s adds an additional charm :) We come to you often and very much. Keep it up !

Very large Schnitzels and various menus that you can choose from, for example Schnitzel with chips, croquettes, mushrooms or more. Also included in the menu is a buffet starter and for 5 euros more you can get another Schnitzel dish of your choice. I have eaten at this restaurant many times, but this time the Schnitzels were excellent but a little heavier than usual. For the rest everything is ok

Hello, wanted to go out for a schnitzel on a Friday in mid-April. Just drove past the restaurant - it was just before 10 p.m. The boss was standing at the entrance smoking a cigarette, but he immediately put it out and let us in. It was cozy in the guest room, there was a nice audience and there were still seats available. We were served promptly. Drinks came very quickly (unfortunately you have to pay €5 per 0.5L of beer in Stuttgart...). The food was also at the table relatively quickly. I have to say, the Schwaben-Schnitzel tasted very tasty. I found the meat to be of high quality - the breading was great. The sauce and the spaetzle also tasted delicious. The price was great for the quality and quantity!!! The service and the boss were very nice and attentive. The furnishings ranged from bourgeois to (somewhat) rustic. It wasn't the last time I/we were at Onkel Otto at Marienplatz 😃👍 Please keep it up.

The service was friendly but with several flaws (errors in the drinks and the bill). we ordered the traditional schnitzel. the doses are huge. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary. My husband wanted to try German sausages, but they didn't have any.

Very kind and friendly staff. We booked for 9pm, but we arrived at 8pm... they did everything they could to accommodate us and seat us. Huge cutlets, even the XL which would be the small one... it's huge. Soft, tasty and cooked to perfection. The one with salad has a free refill... top!!!

In December I had the Schnitzligkeit for the first time and was completely surprised by the sauce. First we enjoyed ourselves and then we ate. Afterwards I ate something at Kebab Ali but returned. Afterwards I ate a currywurst with fries across the street and returned. When I felt the crunch, I was overwhelmed by diarrhea. That was so liberating that I would love to come back again and again 👍

Wow, the portions are just huge and taste great. Even the children's schnitzel is actually a normal portion. The side dishes are more than sufficient. The staff is super accommodating and in a good mood. The atmosphere is rustic and cozy. We would love to come back to you from Bavaria!

Even when the atmosphere is not so welcoming the food is good for a single visit during all your stay - do not abuse . An all you can eat schnitzel place for a little more than a dozen euros And u forgettable experience - Recommended
