We arrived at closing time on Friday and were still served. Super friendly and the food was very tasty and attractively prepared. A little hidden or out of the way but it is absolutely worth the detour. We were absolutely thrilled by the ambience.

I was there yesterday and was surprised. The atmosphere is exciting with great attention to detail. The Currywurst Special is great and recommended

I was there for lunch with a colleague and once I picked up something to take home. But halelujah, despite my higher expectations, that was even more than that. The portion was very generous and the taste was to die for. It really felt like this when this was actually cooked with the one secret ingredient (salt... no love of course😂) Unfortunately my photo is gone, but you should take the fries with your burger. There are also 2 dips. One is Uncle Ben’s Dip… Boy, I would even dip it with gummy bears, it's that good!

We had the sausage goulash and turnip stew. The food was super delicious 🤤. If we happen to be in the area again and get hungry, we will definitely come to you.

Great location. I eat here regularly when I'm in the home office! Always friendly, always something new for lunch and just a great atmosphere ❤️

Sexy fries, delicious burgers, a nice Flensburger or a white spritz - wonderful.

There were two of us recently, the food was okay, although the fries were a bit wobbly (we had the Currywurst Special with fries) for the time we had to wait. The atmosphere is really nice, rustic and cozy but the service was really not good. Two employees were on site. The woman was quite nice but the uncle probably didn't think it was necessary to greet and say goodbye to his guests. A friendly “goodbye, have a nice evening” was followed by nothing and they said goodbye with their backs turned to you, which was a real shame. But that's the way it is, maybe once the NDR has visited you will be taken off.

It was very tasty and the ambience and service were great. This snack definitely needs to be repeated 👍👌

Definitely worth a visit. I didn't feel like eating a burger patty from the deep fryer and instead used Currywurst Special. Highly recommended, the price is completely ok. for a snack. I think the rest of the prices are okay too. Rustic/maritime seating ambience. Not for everyone, I find it quite comfortable. The situation could be difficult for Ben, hopefully he holds up. Good luck - I'll be back.

If you order food at the counter, you get a device that vibrates and then you can get your food. You could have currywurst with a roll. It was okay but nothing special!

Living around the corner. We've gotten something there three times now and found it very tasty. We can especially recommend the burger! Service very friendly. We'll definitely come by regularly.

I've only seen the NDR documentary so far and I think the snack is really great. I think shops like this and people like Benjamin are a great asset to society. I'm from Hamburg and unfortunately not very close. I WILL definitely stop by when I'm in the area! Until then, have fun and success and keep it up!

I'm not cooking on this vacation, I'm going to Uncle Ben's. Every star is deserved. Addition: We've been eating there for 6 days now. We really enjoyed all the dishes. I really have to say a bratwurst and a burger patty don't belong in the deep fryer, they're not recommended in terms of taste. The burger was made with no love and the products were all convenience products. Unfortunately the shop owner also has longer hair and doesn't use a hair net which might not be the best idea. I hope in the future we will cook more ourselves and nothing will be made in the deep fryer except schnitzel and fries. I realize it's not a fancy restaurant, but you don't have to throw everything into the deep fryer just to make it quick.

Thanks to NDR, it's no longer so secret, but still an absolute recommendation. Everything is correct, from front to back

Good and cheap buns, frozen meat, frozen fries, a slice of cheese without melting, just put it on the patty. In addition, it was overpriced at €4.50 for a 0.33l beer. And all this from a trained chef? The report in the NDR documentary caused people to shake their heads. EDIT to owner: And why are buns and patties convenience products? These are the most important ingredients and the heart of a burger

So first of all: very nice location Unfortunately, the meal for a snack took a very long time (approx. 30-40 minutes). I had chicken nuggets and they were kind of rubbery, probably classic frozen ones. The fries were sticky. My friend had the rib burger and says he was full, but next time he would try currywurst.

The food is very tasty, there are also daily specials. I work nearby and eat at Ben's every day and I haven't been disappointed yet.

Great snack with an outstanding ambience. A bit out of the way, but worth stopping by on the way to the ferry.

In an intersection in the middle of nowhere, old workshop parking lot in a type of industrial area, thanks to Google Maps we found this charming permanent type food truck. The owner spoke perfectly ok English and had several fast food dishes to choose from. The whole place was an experience, some chickens in an enclosure and very special decor. Very good choice to eat here also in terms of price, before boarding the ferry to Trelleborg. Check opening hours, a recommendation.

The food was very tasty. Four dishes were prepared quickly and we are glad we asked for the toilet key. Everything is so pretty and decorated with heart. Really only recommended. Don't be put off by the parking lot (at a car dealership).

We spontaneously stopped at this snack bar while passing through. The ambience is very daring and experimental, but has a very charming flair and hides some surprises that can only be discovered upon closer inspection. The preparation of the food went quickly and we were informed about its completion via a digital guest radio information system. The food was okay but the taste was nothing special. (The schnitzel had a very neutral taste of nothing and the fries seemed to be fried in old fat). But the homemade dips were very tasty and a welcome change. Sanitary facilities were also available, clean and real cloth towels were provided for each guest.

Great store. Good food for a fair price. A lot of homemade food, no standard chip shop dishes. Keep it up. And the best part...right around the corner from me.

I had read some of the good reviews before my visit. When I had something to do nearby, I took advantage of the opportunity myself. The whole ambience and the food have nothing to do with the classic snack bar that serves greasy bratwurst with fries and ketchup from a plastic bottle. The ambience is special and exudes its own character. However, I see the danger here that someone unfamiliar with the area will not notice that this is a catering establishment when driving past. I would retrofit a very clear sign. The food: The decision is not easy because it all sounds very tasty. I then took a burger (7.90 euros I think). At first you think that this price is pretty steep for a takeaway meal. But in retrospect you have to say: The burger 🍔 was really great. Really good and appropriate for the price. I'll go there again when the opportunity arises.

Der Besuch bei Onkel Bens Imbiss war hervorragend!!! Wir hatten uns Essen vorbestellt und es war pünktlich fertig... Die Zutaten waren frisch und seine selbstgemachten Soßen sind der Hammer!!! 🤤😍 Wir können es zu 100 Prozent weiterempfehlen und waren nicht das letzte Mal da. !

Lecker Essen und schöne Atmosphäre

Ein "Imbiss" auf den wir durch Google stießen und vollends zufrieden waren. Die Location ist für die Gegebenheiten liebevoll gestaltet und die Qualität der Speisen war mega gut. Imbiss trifft das Erlebnis nicht auf den Punkt. Definitiv ein Ort den man nicht verpassen sollte in Rostock.

Coole Location mit leckerem Essen und netten Service - sehr zu empfehlen! Die maritime Ausstattung des phantasievoll gestalteten Biergartens (es ist trotz der Namensgebung kein einfacher Imbiss!) ist selbstgebaut und sehr originell, der Inhaber tritt entsprechend authentisch auf. Leckerer Burger mit Pommes und hauseigener Sauce, yummi... Das Gemüse (Tomaten, Gurken, Jalapenõs usw.) wird vor Ort selbst angebaut - Respekt! Insgesamt ein Volltreffer - hatte ich in Rostock- Gehlsdorf nicht unbedingt erwartet.

Ich war das erstmal da am Montag und muss sagen es war sehr lecker und reichlich. Ich hatte das schnitzel.mit pommes spezial und es war sehr gut gerne nächstes Jahr wieder da ich nur 1x im Jahr in Rostock bin

Abgefahrene Lokalität, Personal passt dazu , eines der besten Pommes 🍟 ( durch diese unterschiedlichen Saucen dazu ) ....was wollte ich in diesem Fall mehr - einfach mal probieren wenn ihr in Rostock am Fährhafen seid und aufs/ von der Fähre müsst 🤗

Haben Onkel Ben's Imbiss durch Zufall am Stadtrand von Rostock entdeckt: Umfangreiches Imbissangebot frisch und lecker zubereitet, kreatives maritimes Ambiente, moderate Preise, ein sehr freundlicher, engagierter Inhaber mit tollen Ideen für den Stadtteil - wir sind total begeistert und kommen garantiert wieder.

Hatte Currywurstspezial mit Pommes, Jalapenos und roten Zwiebeln. Total lecker zu einem absolut fairem Preis. Gemütliche Atmosphäre! Ich komme wieder!

Eine absolute Perle!! Haben es durch Zufall entdeckt. Super leckeres, FRISCHES Essen zu sehr fairen Preisen. Der Besitzer rundet das Erlebnis ab. Tolles Ambiente, man versucht sichtlich eine kleine maritime Perle zu schaffen - mit Erfolg!

Wir waren heute an Herrentag bei Onkel Ben‘s und es war wirklich toll. Nicht nur, dass der schön gestaltete Laden am Feiertag geöffnet hatte, sondern auch der nette Inhaber, machten den Besuch ein vollen Erfolg. Ich kann es jedem empfehlen, der einfach mal einen Happen essen möchte. Die Atmosphäre sowie die Einrichtung und Gestaltung sind wirklich schön. Ich freue mich auf den nächsten Besuch und kann es jedem Empfehlen. Auf jeden Fall mal vorbeikommen. ;)

Hatte bisher nur die Pommes mit der hausgemachten Pommessoße. Sehr lecker. Preise sind gut. Und eine Menge um den Imbiss herum womit man sich beschäftigen kann bis das Essen fertig ist oder nach dem Essen. Wir werden öfter mal da sein.

Auf Empfehlung von Kollegen bin ich heute mal auf dem Heimweg hier vorbei. Ich muss sagen. Die 5 Sterne sind gerechtfertigt. Ich habe die Bulette mit Pommes gegessen. Die Barbecue Sauce dazu muss man einfach probieren. Mega. Die Sauce zu den Pommes auf einer Majo/ Joghurt Basis, ebenfalls sehr sehr lecker. Die Bullette sowie die Saucen scheinen auf jeden Fall selbstgemacht zu sein. Die Location ist schön dekoriert, man kann sehr gut sitzen, oder auch stehen. Sonnenschirme sind ebenfalls vorhanden und laden zum verweilen ein. Die Preise sind für das was man bekommt angemessen. Hier komme ich gerne wieder hin. Vielen Dank

Reichhaltige kulinarische Optionen von Imbissklassikern wie Currywurst (Saucen hausgemacht!), BoWu und Boulette zu Loaded Pommes "Spezial" zu Kartoffelpfanne, raffinierter Pasta und dem DDR Klassiker schlechthin - Jägerschnitzel mit Nudeln u roter Sauce. Üppige und leuchtende Teller und einfach ein spezielles Ambiente. Netter und entspannter Gastgeber. Sind auch mal gespannt wie es so Samstag Abend ist im geil eingerichteten Container einen zu glühen ...

Leckeres Essen, Riesen Auswahl, es ist viel auf den Tellern und der Preis ist mehr als in Ordnung. Die Location ist liebevoll gestaltet und der Betreiber ist mit Herzblut dabei.

Sehr lecker hat es uns geschmeckt. Preise sind absolut fair und man wird freundlich bedient. Hübsch angelegt so wie sich am Wasser gehört!
