We came when very busy without a reservation; the staff were lovely and found us somewhere to sit despite this, and the food was absolutely wonderful!

I LOVE ONG TAO! I always enjoy coming to Frankfurt just to eat there because the dishes are really made with love. Both the sushi and the vegan duck were awesome. It tastes fresh and really flavorful. As soon as I finish my meal, I feel sad because I can't eat any more of it. I can recommend everyone to have eaten there, because not only is the atmosphere and service great, the food also came really quickly and was great!! I would love to eat there every day! Allergens on the menu are incorrect!! AFTER eating the starter, before we could order the main course, we were told that our starters contained gluten and when we were told that this wasn't on the menu, we responded with an outrageous sorry.

Great place to have Vietnamese food. We went here with a few colleagues after work and enjoyed the atmosphere very much. The service was a bit slow even though the place didn’t seem too busy but it could’ve just been that they didn’t have that much staff that day. Food was fine, not special but delicious. I would eat here again, especially with my vegan friends. There are various vegan options.

Menu is vegan only and very tasty! Portions are big and prices are very fair. Numerous homemade lemonades and mocktails are also available. Outside seating is also offered. I will definitely come back and would recommend it to everybody!

Price at checkout didn't quite match what was on the card. Unfortunately we only noticed it outside. But the food was delicious and the service was otherwise great.

Today was our first visit to Ong Tao Restaurant and we were immediately impressed. The atmosphere, the mood and the deco everything is wonderful. The staff is totally friendly. The food is on the table quickly and tastes great. If we are in Frankfurt again soon and don't know where to go for dinner, we will definitely reserve a table here again. The vegan duck is definitely highly recommended and the starters we had were also really fantastic! Our favorite: Bánh xếp!

I was recommended the restaurant myself. The food was prepared very quickly and really tasty. The menu was also clear and there was something for every taste. Only the employee seemed very annoyed but maybe she had had a bad day.

Unfortunately the main was a very watered down version of the food I had in Vietnam. The broth is flat and uninspired. The spring rolls I found to be quite good and would recommend. Overall a decent enough option to try something out, but from my experience quite lacking in flavour.

The food was at our table within 10 minutes. Just like the drinks; Our food was also more than delicious. The prices are cheap for Frankfurt. The food is not tasty. The rice noodles were sticky and overcooked. There was no sauce. Tables and floors are very sticky. There were traces of dried food on some of the cutlery. Also be prepared to wait 1.5 hours for your food, as the waiter is difficult to find and catch. Overrated and overpriced.

Super delicious vegan food! The duck and seitan are particularly tasty and recommended! The waitresses are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Our requests for changes to the sushi plate were accepted without any problems or effort. You didn't feel like you were an unnecessary burden. We went there twice during our 4 day stay because we liked it so much! The furnishings are very suitable and you feel very comfortable both inside and outside!

The restaurant is ok. There is a wide selection. A lot of attention is paid to the presentation of the dishes. The authenticity suffers somewhat.

The food was delicious, I'm still wondering how they made the "duck" skin so crispy and nice. Price correlates to the amount of food, appetizers go for 5 or so euros and you get nice starter portion that is not overwhelming on your stomach. Main dishes are hefty and filling and so flavorful, I couldn't finish mine personally but take away is possible. Dessert is also lovely and not too much to handle, just the right amount to finish of the meal. The hugo had a fair amount of proseco in it but still sweet. Service was really polite and although it was crowded it didn't feel like it. Worth every cent.

I was there for the first time yesterday. My friend ordered a curry and asked that she like it a little milder. Unfortunately, the food was still far too spicy for her. They toned it down a bit with coconut milk, but unfortunately it was still too spicy for them. Since I ate the same thing, I can confirm that it was spicy. Personally, I could tolerate it well. She then left it because she just couldn't eat it :-( I think the level of spiciness should definitely be listed on the menu! For example: 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️ She was still charged for the meal. Not good service. It makes you think about whether you want to eat there again.

Vegan Vietnamese It sounds strange and it is. The concept promises Vietnamese cuisine without meat or other ingredients of animal origin. I was invited to the dinner and since I like to try new culinary things, I accepted the invitation. I already had an idea of ​​how the dishes would be designed and prepared. Well, I was surprised. Here we try to replace the meat with purely vegan products. Personally, I don't understand this, I don't put meat in my salad or try to make a salad leaf from animal protein. Regardless, to each their own. So I ordered a yellow coconut curry with duck breast substitute. Vegetables okay, sauce very fatty, as this is coconut cream, very viscous, almost like a dip. It would have been okay, but in my opinion the duck breast substitute was fried in old oil and tasted like fried cardboard. Really bad. The other dishes looked almost identical (there were 5 of us) we had a different coconut curry and that looked and smelled identical to my "duck curry" even though it was a different dish. One of us is a vegetarian but she didn't like the meat substitute either. The taste of everything reminded me of old, overused oil. The Pho dishes weren't tasty either. As a Berliner, I have tried many Asian fusion style cuisines, but this was by far the worst. The prices are based on the models with meat, I think 16.90 euros for a curry with real duck breast is okay, but much too expensive with a meat substitute. 10 would probably be more appropriate. The pricing of the dishes is based on the carnal models. My conclusion: if I want to enjoy vegetarian or vegan cuisine, I would rather go to a restaurant with Arabic Lebanese cuisine or to a good Indian restaurant. The concept didn't convince me because it didn't taste good and the craftsmanship was average at best. But as we all know, it's a matter of taste

We visited Ong Tao Vegan in Frankfurt today and are happy to give it four stars. The highlight was definitely the charming terrace at the back of the restaurant, which has a unique charm despite its slightly run-down appearance. We were able to sit there very nicely. The dishes were mostly good, with the vegan sushi particularly standing out. The soup and the rolls were okay, but unfortunately the soup was only lukewarm. My companion found the soup and the vegan 'beef' not spicy enough and the taste too close to real meat. However, the dessert was ok and rounded off the meal positively. I would go again, even if it's not a must. A great restaurant for vegans in the city.

If you wanna eat your lunch while listening to charming chipping sounds of birds, this place is for you. I really like the atmosphere here, especially the back side open area where we sit and had our lunch.

Very good vegan, Vietnamese cuisine. Update: No better today than last time. Perfect soup with silken tofu as a starter, perfect curry with vegan duck, perfect soup with vegan duck, tomatoes, onions and lemongrass as a main course. We found ourselves either visiting or ordering from here many times while in Frankfurt. The food excellent and the superb selection of meat alternatives will shut up even your most die-hard carnivore acquaintances.

Unfortunately the sushi was disappointing: not fresh and of poor quality. Not recommended for sushi lovers. My partner's dishes were expandable in comparison.

It's good that there is even a purely vegan Asian restaurant. However, you are not greeted with a smile as usual, but are immediately informed of the time slot of 90 minutes. Otherwise the service is very clear and timely. The restaurant is full of relatively young guests who sometimes wait in line. That justifies the time limit, but it doesn't justify the somewhat unfriendly greeting message.

The staff is nice but that's about it. I had the sushi box 2 and a vegetable/vegan shrimp mix with rice (apparently no longer on the menu, it was number 32). The food was nice to look at but didn't taste good at all. The different ingredients and spices were not coordinated with each other. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the restaurant.

Everything is really right here! From the pricing of the menu to the tastiest meat substitutes I've ever tasted. (Whether it's veggie beef or duck, both are super tasty) And since everything is vegan, my vegetarian friend was able to order anything without worrying and the quality of the food is consistently very good. We will be back!

Was in this vegan restaurant by chance, as a non-vegan or vegetarian. First of all, about the food: I had vegan beef, nice and spicy and well seasoned, was surprised by the appearance and structure, I actually didn't miss any meat. However, I am personally of the opinion that it is better to eat real vegan products there and not meat substitutes, as this is ultimately an absolutely artificial food. The vegetarian dumplings were a delight. There is a very good selection of non-alcoholic mixed drinks and there is also an authentic Saigon beer, in addition to German beer. However, the atmosphere is too loud for a comfortable and quiet conversation. It is also suitable for larger groups as there is an adjoining room. All in all, a good place if you want to try vegan cuisine.

The food was really good and there are a lot of options. We chose this place because it's all vegan. The restaurant could provide a bit more space between the tables to have more privacy. They close for lunch at 14:00 and you must leave by then (music turned off and being told by waitress to leave now)

I really wanted to like this place because I want to encourage vegan restaurants. However, this was not my vibe. I would never wish number 16 (Bún măng vịt chay) upon my enemies. It smelled like a barnyard animal with halitosis. There was a very strange smell in the dish. I mentioned it to a server and they also smelled it and said it wasn’t wrongly prepared. SO, I ate it—but I regretted every moment. I suspected the smoky vegan duck tainting the flavor, but I really don’t know. In contrast the mushroom dumplings and Miến xào chay were good. And the Bánh Bao was exceptional. I don’t know what went so terribly wrong with number 16, either my bowl was rancid and server didn’t notice or I discovered my kryptonite. My friend ended up finishing the duck soup and had an upset stomach the rest of the night. Servers were very busy. Food and order were timely but rushed. The atmosphere is nice, it was a fairly busy night. If it was less crowded or the servers had more time, I would have exchanged for another dish. I’d go back but I would just eat several orders of the delicious steamed buns.

Hatte ein Veganes Essen, mir hat leider komplett die Vietnamesische würze und raffinesse gefehlt. Service war nett und schnell. Das bestellte Essen kam nach ca 3 min, ob das jetzt gut oder schlecht ist überlasse ich jedem selber. 250ml Bier für 3,9€ finde ich ziemlich teuer.

The food was SO DELICIOUS. We had dumpling and Pho. The pho reminded me of how pho used to taste like before I turned vegan. The place is also really cute, love all the decorations. Service was fast and staff were really friendly.
