This place is completely vegan and every meal i have tried here so far has been delicious. They also have tasty home made lemonades and the interior of the restaurant is inviting and pretty. Good service as well!

I can't really share the hype, unfortunately: On the plus side: Nice atmosphere, very friendly service, even though we were practically forgotten after the first round of ordering and couldn't order anything else. The food, however, was not to my liking at all. I'm definitely open to vegan food, but this was awful. The konjac shrimp were more like tasteless playdough, and the Asian burger was a complete disaster with a tasteless "bun" and a patty that fell apart. To be fair, my friends enjoyed their meals. Maybe I was just unlucky.

Great place for Sushi! Loved every bit of the sushi. Wasn't a big fan of their burger. Maybe a bit more sauce could have turned out better. Have to mention, the staff working there are super kind and helpful.

I've been coming to Ong Tao Vegan for years because of the cozy and authentic Vietnamese atmosphere in winter and the lovely outdoor seating area in summer. The food has even improved over the years! The service is always attentive and friendly, and the food is prepared quickly, always hot, and most importantly, incredibly delicious. A recommendation for anyone missing Vietnam, and my number 1 vegan restaurant in Frankfurt.

Very delicious vegan food 💞, attractively presented.

The ambiance is lovely and the noise level is very low. We arrived at 6 pm, so it wasn't very loud or crowded. The food is absolutely delicious, and I was personally surprised that I've never eaten vegetarian food in a restaurant before, even though I'm not vegan or vegetarian myself. Highly recommended!

A very cozy restaurant. For vegan cuisine, the menu was too full of meat substitutes that looked like meat but didn't taste like it. The service was very friendly, but they were clearly cutting staff, so the server rarely came to our table.

I'm very, very surprised. It was SOOO DELICIOUS. Vegan food isn't something I usually like or eat at all, so I decided to try it. I ordered numbers 2 and 23. Wow! Both were so good. I'll definitely be back. I still need to try the sushi... If you want a quieter atmosphere, come for lunch.

We ate here on a Monday evening as a couple – the staff is very attentive and friendly, and the completely vegan menu is highly recommended. Our favorite was appetizer number 6, the dumplings with vegetables – they were truly delicious! For our main courses, we had the mango-coconut curry and the Vietnamese curry with "fake duck," which was also very good. The main courses are generous portions, and you'll definitely leave satisfied.

I went here with my girlfriend on the recommendation of my best friend and were not disappointed. The food and service are outstanding, and the price is definitely fair, considering the dishes. I can highly recommend it to anyone who is already vegetarian/vegan or who would like a change from animal-based meals. It was also positive that we had a reservation for 7 p.m., but when we realized we were hungry earlier and spontaneously called to see if we could come earlier, it was made possible. So, 5 stars in every area from me and thank you all for a wonderful end to our evening.

There are plenty of staff here. The service is friendly and mostly courteous. The good food (typically Asian) arrives quickly and hot. We enjoyed the food; we (four people) had a variety of dishes and had no reason for complaint. The menu is very straightforward yet varied and imaginative. It's nice to have a vegan restaurant in Frankfurt that can also satisfy a meat-eater with well-prepared alternatives. The restaurant is recommended – we will definitely come back. I strongly recommend making a table reservation, as the restaurant was busy (even though it was a Wednesday and the time, 6:30 p.m., was not exactly a typical dining time).

Probably the best restaurant in all of Germany!!! Very friendly, and you feel very comfortable in the restaurant, as it's beautifully decorated (great paintings, lovely decor in general!). But it's mainly the food that we dream about every day. If Ong Tao were next door to my house, I'd be penniless. Even just for a quick appetizer, Ong Tao is worth going to – we loved the spring rolls, summer rolls, and soup! There are also two parks next door, one with a chess court (the Garden of Heavenly Peace). All in all, a fantastic experience!!

The service was extremely unfriendly from the moment we walked in. When dessert was brought half an hour before closing time, the music was turned off, most of the lights were turned off, and we were urged to leave. Feeling welcome and enjoying a relaxing evening doesn't look like much better. There are much better alternatives in Frankfurt.

The service is brusque and unfriendly. Upon entering at 8:30 p.m., you are immediately informed that the restaurant closes at 10:00 p.m. Dessert was therefore ordered at 9:20 p.m. and brought to the table around 9:30 p.m. Ordering a coffee was no longer possible at 9:20 p.m. because the coffee machine had already been cleaned, even though the restaurant was still busy at that time. Immediately after dessert was served, the music was turned off and the chairs were moved upstairs. You feel very unwelcome.

Phenomenal food — everything we’ve had on the menu has been super flavorful, cooked to perfection, and well portioned. More than just your average Vietnamese restaurant. they are serving so many unique Vietnamese dishes that you don’t normally find in the west. Great restaurant, authentic Vietnamese cuisine, even for me as a non-vegan/vegetarian, it's a nice change of pace. If you simply want to consume less meat, Ong Tao is the perfect restaurant because the dishes are anything but bland, as is often the case with many vegetarian/vegan dishes.

It's simply wonderful to be able to mindlessly browse a menu full of fantastic dishes – because everything is vegan. The vegan duck and the vegan chicken in mango curry were both fantastic. The starter was also incredibly delicious. We'll definitely be back!

I was there for the first time today and found it pretty average; considering the price of my meal, it really doesn't deserve more than 3 stars. The atmosphere is pleasant enough, especially the chairs and tables outside, which are more like a snack bar. I had udon noodles with a vegan deep-fried tempura shrimp imitation. The portion was a reasonable size; I could have handled more. According to the menu, the noodles were supposed to be fried, but I didn't notice much of it. I didn't really like the oily taste of the tempura coating, so for €17.50, it really wasn't outstanding. I also found the drink prices quite high; you can pay almost €8 for a bottle of water, but you don't have to, and I wouldn't consider the restaurant again. There are definitely better alternatives in Frankfurt.

I had a really delicious dish, but it varied for my friends. I think preferences will differ across the items on the menu. Overall they do a great job. The restaurant is pretty large and I felt it was quite loud and humid.

A very good vegan Vietnamese restaurant. The food is highly recommended and almost identical to the non-vegan version. The service was excellent; we got a table without a reservation and our food arrived very quickly after ordering. The homemade lemonades are also highly recommended.

Amazing food! Each dish is unique in its own way and perfectly seasoned - the taste is rich and bright. I was especially pleased with the crispy and aromatic tofu, cooked with love. Everything in this branch is really tastier than in the usual "traditional" cuisine - you can feel the attention to detail and the desire to surprise. Great vegan restaurant in Frankfurt. All dishes are vegan and offers vegetarians and vegans an alternative to all chicken and duck dishes. I had the mango curry with vegan duck, which I think is very close to the taste of real duck (as far as I remember after all these years). You can sit inside and outside. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is extremely friendly, helpful and quick. I can only recommend this restaurant!

The restaurant has a very nice Vietnamese atmosphere and the dishes are simply delicious and there is a lot to choose from, sometimes I really had difficulty deciding haha. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. Who If you want to eat good Asian and vegan food, you're definitely in good hands here. The dishes are very varied, from vegan shrimp to vegan duck, and sushi is also offered. I always enjoy coming here👌

We ordered dumplings, soup and summer rolls. The dumplings and the sauce were very tasty, even if they were rather lukewarm, the soup was passable, but the summer rolls were just wrong, poorly rolled and basically only tasted like iceberg lettuce. For this reason, I would definitely not recommend them

I have always loved coming and having delicious and authentic Vietnamese food here. However, for the past few times, my online orders have always been messed up. I got a pho with bun noodles instead of bun bo hue. And since I am Asian having lived in Vietnam, I know the difference between a pho soup and Bun Bo Hue. Hence the reduction in stars. I personally have always enjoyed dining in here and I hope they manage to get their delivery orders sorted out.

The ambience is very nice. Can definitely be recommended as a date location. The store was very busy at around 7pm on weekdays. It is therefore advisable to make reservations on weekends 😉

Delicious and authentic Vietnamese food, especially for vegans. Cocktails and wine are rather mediocre. Too few service staff for the many tables, therefore longer waiting times. It ends promptly at 10 p.m. - you can't stay any longer.
