O'Mythos in Bad Arolsen

Went there for dinner on October 2nd for my birthday, it was really tasty and would go there again.

We were very... and left the restaurant early. I was there for dinner with my wife, I had gyros with Metaxa sauce, fries with mayo and a mixed salad. The salad was served first. A small bowl with some iceberg lettuce and a few grated carrots with diluted, unflavored yogurt. Next came the fries. Large plate with perhaps an estimated 30 fries and a small 20 g portion bag of mayonnaise that didn't taste good. So the fries were less than a small children's portion. Then the gyros comes with Metaxa sauce and cheese gratinated. Fill a flat oval baking dish about 2cm high. There were about 2 tablespoons of gyro meat floating in the supposed Metaxa sauce, the rest was a tasteless tomato sauce thickened with a little cream. No trace of Metaxa sauce. I just ate it because I was really hungry. My wife had a grill plate with liver and gyros with zatziki and fries as well as a mixed salad. The salad and fries were no different than mine. On the grill plate were 2 small pieces of liver, about 5 cm and a handful of gyro meat with a whopping tablespoon full of zatziki. Here too the plates were very clear. The liver was still bloody, but the spice was okay. The gyro was tasteless and dry, probably reheated several times. To eat it you would have needed a bowl of tzatziki to make it slide. The taste of the zatziki was either a cheap one bought or a very bad one that was homemade. In terms of taste, it didn't have much to do with tzatziki. The service wasn't very friendly, everything on the plates was careless. Nothing beautifully presented to the eye. Well, we don't want to talk about cleanliness. Unfortunately, we were probably not knowingly asked whether the food was tasty. I think our faces have made this question unnecessary. We left the restaurant hungry, and what happened next was another application from a pizzeria from Arolsen Absolutely not recommended. We will not enter this "restaurant" again. All you can really say is "O' O' O' Myth," Unfortunately I didn't take any pictures.

Unfriendly as soon as you enter the restaurant. When asked for a place for 2 people, "No" and nothing more was said and in a tone that was not hospitable. It was clear that guests wanted to pay. No attention was paid to the question of whether and when something would become available. Thank God you can choose who you give your money to. It couldn't have been more unfriendly, unfortunately you can't reproduce the tone of voice, but it was such that you just had to leave. No, I'll take a look...

Food was good, people were nice.

Restaurant located right on the street. Since we wanted to sit outside, this was fine with us. We were greeted warmly and were able to choose between two tables. Our table was quickly cleaned, the cards were brought and after a short time the order was taken, two vegetarian casseroles and a portion of gyros meat with tzatziki and onions. The food came very quickly, was warm, but the portions were very small, the casserole consisted of 90% zucchini, two ends of carrot and half a potato. Remember, we are currently in peak zucchini season, so the purchase price is very low. In addition, the gratinated cheese was commercially available industrial cheese. The casserole lacked flavor. Not to mention the mini portion of gyros. The crowning glory was the price of €14.50 just for this mini portion of gyro meat. Also the price for the casserole…just outrageous. Conclusion: There is no price-performance ratio here and there was no ouzo like you get at the end of a good Greek drink.

Worst service I have ever received in a restaurant. Unfriendly staff across the board. Eternal waiting times, despite fewer visitors. Even the obligatory Quzo on the house was charged. In terms of taste it was also a disappointment. The dishes weren't seasoned at all and the tzatziki (sour sour sauce with way too much pepper) doesn't deserve the name!

Poor service, misleading menu advertising, sarcasm and lack of commercial behavior (from staff and managers) I do not recommend and will never come back. I ordered a spaguett with prawns and salmon. Shameful, a restaurant of this size says I mistranslated the menu which would be: small prawns. When actually 3 micro carnelians came.... I know the word: big, small and small (tiny) and since salmon and shrimp are so cheap in this country, it's unfortunate that they force me to come with this package and mine Dissatisfaction with the product and service to travel. I can't say anything about the food. What I saw and smelled was very appealing. I drank my beer in a cozy atmosphere. Addendum: food is also delicious 😋

A very nice atmosphere but the taste is only average. The bifteki I ordered from the lunch menu was OK, but the sauce that came with it was not. There wasn't even the obligatory ouzo. It doesn't have to be, but it's always a nice gesture.

Went there for the first time today and was immediately impressed. Service was absolutely friendly, the food was simply great and the service ran smoothly. 10/10 my conclusion. Only recommended

Sitting by the fireplace, it was so close to the table that I struggled with it the whole next day with back pain! The food was nothing special, there are better ones.

The restaurant was our last resort at lunchtime. We had dishes from the lunch menu. My husband was happy with the salmon and vegetables, they even left out the peppers. However, my vegetable dish was bland and there were 3 pieces of feta on top. We found the toasted slices of bread very strange Tomato puree on top. We were thinking more of a kind of bruschetta, but ideas vary so much. I should actually give it one more star, but somehow I didn't feel comfortable

People used to enjoy eating there, but today the prices are so high that you start to suspect it's a rip-off! The salads and dishes on the plate have become significantly smaller, but the prices have risen massively.

Unfortunately I was here on Thursday evening with my mother, she had empty shrimp The head was served her dip felt like it was seasoned with kg of salt, my gyros plate with tomato rice, the meat was cold and not seasoned and the rice was super spicy and also cold and the farmer's salad from someone we knew wasn't edible either and for that 60.70 we won't be coming back again

Unfortunately the food was only similar to fast food. Not a good Greek unfortunately.

Little Greek, got a table at the entrance despite a reservation. Service wasn't exactly friendly, we didn't really feel comfortable. Small portion, taste is ok. Wanted fries instead of rice, got both and had to order an extra charge. Aubergine/zucchini starter for 8.90 euros includes 3 slices of aubergine and small slices of zucchini, a bit cheeky. Like once and never again. Service performance 0 stars, only clearance

Unfortunately a pure disappointment on vacation. Female service staff very cheeky and rather busy. We didn't feel comfortable there at all on our anniversary. Despite reservations, we were offered 2 “leftover tables”. The prices are an absolute disgrace for the mini portions. Starter with eggplant and zucchini came to €8.90. Just three small slices of zucchini and three small slices of eggplant. Not a highlight in terms of taste. Grill plate also kept rather small! Fries (exactly 9 pieces in miniature) were added as an additional charge of 1.50 euros each. In terms of taste, there was also no highlight and little meat. We felt very taken care of by the staff. Drink prices also overpriced.

A very excellent Greek in northern Hesse. Highly recommended. Upscale gastronomy at reasonable prices. A visit to the Arolsen in the Rgeel also includes a visit to the O'Mythos. The kitchen is excellent and the service is very friendly. A pleasant atmosphere inside and out.

Unfortunately the meat (to take away) was too hard. Just small chunks, felt warmed up several times. Unfortunately not worth the price. A pity.

Ended up in myth by chance. The service was excellent from the moment you were assigned to the table! The team is incredibly nice and attentive. But absolutely not intrusive. The food was very tasty and, above all, fresh, but we really didn't have to wait long for it. The portions are not overly large and despite being very hungry, we were still well full. All in all, it's worth a visit if you want to eat delicious food in a harmonious atmosphere!

Prices high, portion sizes down. Unfortunately the quality didn't match the price. This can be done better. Unfortunately we won't be coming back.

I was in the mood for Greek and ended up here. Service was nice, food was tasty and plentiful, prices were in the normal range. Only the salad was rather boring for a Greek restaurant, but everyone has to decide that for themselves. Apparently the standard here for drinks is 0.2l (2.80 euros). So if you want something bigger, you have to point this out separately. On the first visit we sat outside and it was nice and interesting. The seats are on the sidewalk and you have a view of the street and the people walking and driving there. On the second visit we sat inside, which is also very nice as the ambience is dark but still pleasant. All in all worth a visit. It would just be nice to have an indication of the drink size on the menu and perhaps a little more imagination with the salad. We will be back

My personal favorite restaurant with fast, friendly service and great Greek cuisine! I'm a native of Göttingen and only eat Greek there, but O Mythos easily keeps up, even without a delivery service!

I had the 61st gyros with tzatziki and fries. The portion was so small that I had to get another kebab next door. The side salad didn't taste like anything. The cola in the 0.2 bottle that you could pour yourself was also a joke. Pepperoni as a starter along with olives was also served cold. I only know it baked from the Greeks. The price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. I was here for the first and last time.

We always enjoy coming back. This time we spontaneously got a table on Valentine's Day in the evening, the conditions were always super friendly, the food was always good, but this time we didn't like the salad, it was very watery, but the gyros were super tasty

The amount on the plate is very manageable. Just enough to fill you up. Tastes good but poorly calculated. At first glance it looks like a lot, but it isn't. The bone makes it more effective.

Very nice service, nice space but unfortunately the food was poorly seasoned. (Gyros very salty, tzatziki too spicy)

Unfortunately, the portion was terribly small and for €18 you can expect more. The portion size of the fries was so small that you could count the fries at a glance. The noodles were undercooked and the vegetables were dry and not tasty. All in all not recommended.

Erstklassiges Essen beste Bedienung und kurze Wartezeit. Auch beim Essen zum Mitnehmen gute Portionen. Salate mit tollem Dressing. Steaks genau auf dem Punkt.

Die Portion schrumpfen leider im Vergleich zum Preis. Wir hätten auch gerne noch ein Glas Rotwein getrunken, doch leider war von einer Bedienung lange nichts zu sehen. Zum Bezahlen musste ich aufstehen und die Servicekraft am Tresen aufsuchen.

Wir waren schon oft in diesem Lokal und wurden noch nie enttäuscht. Gleichbleibend gutes Essen und schneller Service!

Kommen jedes Jahr und es wird immer schlechter, kleinere Portionen, Zsasiki mega unlecker, fast Joghurt pur, nicht verrührt, überall viel Pfeffer dran, Gyros ohne Zwiebeln, hätten wir extra bestellen und bezahlen müssen. Das nächste Mal wird es wohl ein andere Grieche werden müssen

Das Restaurant war gemütlich und das Personal sehr freundlich. Mit dem Essen waren wir auch zufrieden. Am Wochenende besser reservieren.

Wir waren bereits im letzten Jahr dort und es hat sich einiges geändert. Leider sind die Preise ziemlich angestiegen und wir hatten (erneut) trotz Reservierung die beiden hinteren Tische vor der Toilette zur Auswahl. Das Essen an sich war gut zubereitet. Es war nichts zerkocht oder nicht gar. Die Würzung des vegetarischen Reisgerichtes war eher sparsam und alle Portionen eher klein. Satt wurde ich leider nicht, unser Sohn leider auch nicht. Wenn man sich ein wenig mit Marge in der Gastronomie auskennt, dann muss ich leider von unverschämten Preisen sprechen. Der Service war super, vor allem sehr freundlich und lustig. Der Rest aber leider nicht erfreulich, daher heute nur 3 Punkte.

Der Service ist freundlich und das Restaurant ist gemütlich eingerichtet. Das Essen hat auch geschmeckt, war aber nicht überdurchschnittlich gut für ein griechisches Restaurant. Ich habe z.B. schon viel besseres Bifteki gehabt. Der Tomatenreis hat gut geschmeckt, war aber für meinen Geschmack zu zerkocht. Und es war das erste Mal, dass wir beim Griechen keinen Ouzo angeboten bekommen haben! Daher sind das für mich in Summe dann 3 Sterne.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant, leckeres Essen. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Waren heute zum Mittagstisch da, und haben den Laden immer noch hungrig verlassen, sehr kleine Portionen und das Gyros undefinierbar - geschmacklich und vom Aussehen gegrilltem Bauch ähnlich, dazu teure Getränke....für uns nicht mehr, wie gehen dahin, wo wir für unser Geld auch satt werden...

Ich persönlich kann keine schlechte Bewertung nachvollziehen. Die Kellner/-innen sind super nett und aufmerksam gewesen. Das Essen war sensationell lecker. Und auch sehr schnell da obwohl volle Bude. Bester Grieche in Bad Arolsen und Umgebung. Jederzeit wieder.

Wir hätten auf den Rat unserer Freunde hören sollen. Wir waren jetzt zum 2. Mal hier. Fastfood zum Restaurantpreis. Schade. Ein versauter Abend. Nie wieder.

Beim Grilteller musste ich leider das Gyros suchen. Dann war das meiste davon was unten lag leider auch noch verbrannt. Das Lamm war wirklich gut, das Bifteki ok. Die Tomatensauce passte leider nicht dazu. Auch Metaxa Sauce hieß leider nur so. Der Salat war verhältnismäßig klein und übersäuert. Draußen in der Sonne sitzen war leider auch untersagt. Auf die Frage warum kam leider nur salopp die Antwort: weil alle drin sitzen. PS: für 13 gegrillte Peperoni 6,90,-€ muss bei dem Service und Ambiente auch nicht unbedingt sein. Habe das Restaurant das erste und letzte mal besucht. Üblicher Ouzo gab es das erste mal zum Griechisch Essen auch nicht.

Schlimm. Nie wieder. Der Gyros war teilweise verbrannt und ungewöhnlich fettig. Der Service war zumindest unfreundlich. Ein ruinierter Abend.

Zufalllstreffer!kurzbesuch in aroldsen. Waren gerade vom Urlaub vor drei Wochen vom griech. Festland zurück und trafen auf das Restaurant. Es duftete schon von weitem, das gesamte personal/Eigentümer waren wie in griechenland super nett und herzlich...und kamen auch aus der Region, wo wir waren!!!das essen war sehr gut und schnell am Tisch- aber vorher gab's auch noch Beratung in Bezug auf tagesessen und Wein.wie schön, dass es noch dort ein griech. Restaurant mit wirklich griech. Familie und essen gibt!!!!es war ein sehr schoener abend...und danke an die familie

Optisch versprach das Lokal mehr, als es hielt. Service und Ambiente waren gut, aber das Essen hatte leider nur die Qualität eines Schnellimbisses und war sehr lieblos angerichtet.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Wir waren zum Mittagstisch dort und es war zudem noch günstig. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich und die Bedienung war sehr zuvorkommend.

Das Essen war ziemlich geschmacklos und Fade, die Bedienung war nicht gut und hat sehr lange auf sich warten lassen. Der Teller war ohne liebe angerichtet. Die Atmosphäre war schlecht Plus die Preise sind viel zu hoch für die kleinen Portionen Karte sehr unübersichtlich

Wir sind hier durch Zufall eingekehrt, und haben zu Mittag gegessen. Einen Stern Abzug gibt es aber für das Gyros ich hatte etwas zu viel Fett und Bissfestes Fleisch. Hab es auch so beim Bezahlen weitergegeben sonst war alles super. Conny und Klaus

Das Essen war leider sehr geschmacklos. Der Salat mit Joghurtdressing komplett ohne Würze. Das Fleisch war okay, das Gyros fettig. Der Tomatenreis fade und zu wässrig. Teller liebelos angerichtet! Meine Bekannte hat es leider genauso empfunden

Alles in einem war es in Ordnung. Es wird seine Gründe haben, dass die Portionen kleiner geworden sind und die Bedienung irgendwie traurig war. Es ist ein solider Laden, leider war der Ouzo bei der Vorspeisenplatte sehr, sehr wässrig, durch die Eiswürfel. Der Ouzo zum Abschied war dagegen perfekt.

Immer freundlich Essen sehr gut.

Leider sind Hunde nicht willkommen ob wohl sie erzogen sind. Scheinbar braucht man das Geld dieser Gäste nicht. Schade wir würden beim Holländer herzlich empfangen und haben dort gut gegessen.

Das Essen ist sehr lecker und die Bedienung ausgesprochen freundlich.

Das Essen war nicht schlecht, allerdings war die in der Karte aufgeführte Barbecue Sauce nur Ketchup. Was zu meiner 1 Sterne Rezension führt ist die absolut unfreundliche Bedienung. Als unsere Karte 2 mal abgelehnt wurde, hat er schnippische gesagt „er hätte nicht ewig Zeit und das wäre ja Papierverschwendung“, weil ja zwei kleine Fehlerbons gedruckt wurden. Ich habe dann mit meinem Handy bezahlt und dann hat er den Zettel einfach auf den Tisch geworfen und hat sich ohne tschüss zu sagen umgedreht.

Meiner Meinung nach, einer der besten Griechen. In der Speisekarte ist für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei und der Service geht gern auf Fragen oder spontane Änderungen ein.

Gerade der Mittagstisch lockt hier. Gutes Essen, normale Portionen

Mit Freunden zum Abendessen, mäßige Freundlichkeit, Getränke gut, Vorspeisen und Gerichte wie Schnellimbiss, rote Soße verdünnte jedes 2.Gericht und Vorspeisen, Salate. Da gehen wir nicht mehr hin!

Leckeres Gyros, gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis, gemütlich und dennoch erfreulich modern. Auch das Tzatziki ist wie es sein soll und nicht zu wenig. Weiter so, gerne wieder :-)

Solides Essen zu allgemeinen üblichen Preisen. Ambiente etwas veraltet. Bedienung könnte netter sein.

Alles in allem ist es ein nettes Lokal. Das Essen schmeckt und die Preise sind auch normal. Das Personal machte einen leicht genervten Eindruck, war aber immer freundlich. Wir würden wieder hingehen, wenn wir in der Nähe sind.

Portionen waren sehr überschaubar bei übertriebenen Preisen. Eisbergsalat mit Möhren waren geschmacklos. Als wir die Location verlassen haben,hatten wir hunger. Haben lange vor leeren Gläser gesessen. Schnelle Gästeabfertigung. Als Dank gab es einen Ouzo.
