Ommerborn Klause in Bergisch Gladbach

Hello Maria, hello Thomas and team. I'm writing here under my nickname Blacky because that's what I've been called since my apprenticeship (1971) at the district administration. In Sand, as most locals know, I've been called by my stage name Josi since the early 1960s.

★★★★★ Simply fantastic all around! The food was fresh, delicious, and prepared with love. The beef steak was so good. The pub has a cozy, inviting atmosphere that makes you feel at home immediately. The waitress, Susy, was warm, attentive, and always there with a smile – just the way you want it. There weren't any empty glasses :) Maria and her family were so welcoming. We'll definitely be back and can only recommend it! Greetings from Bavaria.

We love to eat there and enjoy a cozy drink of Kölsch and Palatinate wine. On the terrace in summer, indoors in winter. A true family business with heart and soul. If you want to discover the traditional Bergisches Land coziness and rustic cuisine, this is the place for you.

Cozy old pub with flair. Great food and service! The menu is straightforward but has everything you need and is delicious.

If you didn't get enough love as a child, then go to the Ommerborn-Klause; the landlady's warmth will make up for it. We went there twice, once in the evening for a few beers and the next day for coffee after a funeral. The service is more attentive than in any Michelin-starred restaurant. The manager is always present and fulfills every wish incredibly quickly. Some wishes are granted faster than you can express them. Glass empty, and a new one arrives, as should be the case in every Kölsch pub. Outside on the street, it's nice and cozy. At coffee the next day, everything was arranged to our complete satisfaction. Some reviews here say the ambiance is showing its age. Oh my goodness, it's an inn, not a furniture store. I found the ambiance very nice and didn't notice anything "showing its age." Thank you so much for everything!

Oh my, that's quaint! We had a lovely evening at the Ommerborn Klause. A cozy atmosphere, delicious food, and super friendly service. There's also a lovely beer garden out back. Stop in and enjoy yourself!

Unfortunately, it's a bit dated. The food relied heavily on frozen or ready-made products. It certainly tasted good. The service was super friendly and attentive. Our children were well looked after, but the food definitely needs some improvement.

Always nice and friendly, we had a remorse meal here after a death, which was very pleasant and nice.

I was at the Ommerbornklause yesterday to celebrate my 70th birthday and I have to say it was absolutely great. The food was as if my mom had cooked in the 70s or 80s. Absolutely great. Beef broth, vegetable platters, meat platters, potatoes, fries, croquettes and salad. For dessert, ice cream with hot cherries. It was our first, but certainly not the last, time to eat there!!!

Delicious food and when the weather is nice you can sit on the quiet terrace behind the house.

Cozy restaurant with the old flair. Seating outside. Staff friendly, prices reasonable. We'd love to come back.

Urige Kneipe, etwas flauer Service. Essen ist definitiv gut und bürgerlich. Parken wiederum ist sehr schwierig. Preislich auch bei den Getränken gut. Insgesamt nett, gibt aber auch bessere Alternativen.

Alt eingesessene Kneipe innen in Eiche rustikal. Bodenständiges Essen auch für den kleinen Geldbeutel von Churrywurst bis Steak. Wirklich gut! Der Geheimtipp ist die kleine nach hinten und schön sonnig gelegene Terrasse.

Leckeres Essen bei einer gut sortierten Auswahl und sehr zuvorkommender Service.

Wir waren gestern Abend zum Reibekuchenessen - immer freitags - dort. Sehr knusprig und lecker. Die Bedienung war äußerst freundlich. Man fühlt sich hier willkommen wie ein Stammgast. Die Atmosphäre: sehr gemütlich, der Gastraum erinnert an alte Zeiten. Ich hoffe, dass die Räume noch lange so erhalten bleiben. Die Preise sind ausgesprochen fair. Achja: Wenn man freitags Reibekuchen essen möchte, sollte man unbedingt einen Platz reservieren.

Die Speisekarte bietet eine gute Auswahl, Preise sind absolut in Ordnung und die Qualität des Essens ist gut. Freundliche Bedienung, Toiletten sind ok, Kegelbahn vorhanden. In letzter Zeit mehrfach das Lokal getestet und es wird stetig besser. Eher gutbürgerlich, lecker und genug um satt zu werden.
