The owners and the staff are super nice and personal! The food tastes very good and the portions are really big. After the two of us sat at a table for four and we were asked to move around, they treated us to ouzo and dessert. When we are in SPO we always eat here once and every time it is really good! Absolute recommendation!

A little inconspicuous from the outside, the restaurant turned out to be really recommendable. You sit quite small next to the open kitchen (without sitting in the haze), which creates a pleasant, busy atmosphere, comparable to an Italian coffee house. The service was attentive and friendly, the food tasted excellent. The portions were good and didn't overwhelm you. It's just high-quality, handmade food, not disposable. Priced within normal limits, no card payment.

Seit der Eröffnung des Restaurants besuchen wir das Restaurant Olympia immer mal wieder und sind noch nie enttäuscht worden. Aus unserer Sicht gibt es kein besseres Bifteki als im Restaurant Olympia - super zartes Fleisch und auch das Extra mit Gyros klappt immer und schmeckt großartig. Die Pommes sind immer knusperig (wie machen die das nur; klasse gewürzt und einfach lecker!) und passen gut zum Bifteki. Schön, dass der Chef immer selbst vor Ort ist und die Qualität nachhaltig sicherstellt - Preis/Leistung passen hier immer noch! Tolles familiär geführtes Haus; drücken wir die Daumen, dass der Inhaber noch lange seine Gäste verwöhnt!

Früher war es mal gut, kurz nach der Eröffnung waren wir da. Wir haben heute eine Stunde auf unsere Vorspeise gewartet und diese erst auf Nachfrage bekommen. Unser Essen sollte eigentlich nach 30min. kommen. Wir sind dann ohne zu essen wieder gegangen. Nie wieder!

It used to be good. We waited an hour for our starter and only got it when we asked. Our food was supposed to arrive after 30 minutes. come. Never again!

Atmosphere and furnishings: The Olympia restaurant at Georgios offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a typically Greek design. The decor is traditional and creates a pleasant ambience for a relaxing evening. However, it is quite loud inside. Service: The service was friendly, but there is room for improvement in terms of flexibility when taking orders. Food and drink: The food was excellent. We ordered gyros, rice, souvlaki and tzatziki. Every dish was very tasty and impressed with its freshness and authenticity. We were very impressed by the quality of the dishes. Negative aspects: Unfortunately we had to wait 45 minutes for our food, which was quite long for us. What struck us as particularly negative, however, was the rigid regulation regarding ordering options. My friend wanted to order a small portion, which was not possible as small portions are only available as a children's plate. This resulted in her not being able to finish her portion, resulting in unnecessary food waste. Our request for an exception was strictly rejected and the landlady's argument that this had to be the case was incomprehensible to us and not very customer-friendly. We could share a dish or my girlfriend could just have an appetizer. Value for money: Prices were reasonable for the quality of food on offer, but the lack of flexibility in portions significantly diminished the overall experience. Recommendation: Due to the rigid ordering regulations and the long waiting time, we would not recommend the restaurant. It is not contemporary and unsustainable if guests are forced to order larger portions and food has to be thrown away. Olympia at Georgios is therefore less suitable for guests who value flexibility and sustainability. The food is undoubtedly excellent, but the service and customer focus leave something to be desired. If the restaurant reconsiders its rules regarding portion sizes, it could earn a much better rating.

We've eaten there before and it was actually quite good. But things got worse, we waited for over 45 minutes and only then got the starter. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant.

Went to Georgios Essen for the first time at the Olympics today. We had to wait up to 1 1/2 hours for our food. We complained about this. Other guests who arrived far after us received their food before us. So far so good. The absolute impudence was that the boss of this restaurant came out to us and told us in a rude tone that we should go to McDonalds, maybe it would be quicker there. We haven't experienced anything like this since we went on vacation or went out to eat.

The food was very good. We had a very long waiting time of 1 hour with children at peak time. Guests who came after us were served before us. We were not offered any further drinks although we would have liked to order some. Conclusion: The service was completely overwhelmed. We ate there two years ago and the boss himself had everything under control, but unfortunately he is now behind the stove. We won't eat there anymore.

Wir haben hervorragend mit der Familie hier gegessen. Obwohl wir unangekündigt mit 7 Personen erschienen sind, würden schnell 2 Tische zusammen gestellt und wir konnten Platz nehmen. Schneller und sehr freundlicher Service. Das Essen war richtig lecker. Wir hatten verschiedene Vorspeisen und danach unterschiedliche Hauptgänge. Von Chicken und Pommes für die Kinder bis hin zum leckeren Olympia-Teller war alles richtig, richtig gut ! Ein richtig authentischer Grieche in toller Lage von SPO. Gutes PLV ! Wir kommen wieder !

Great Greek cuisine, large portions, very tasty. Gyros 1a. Large menu and very authentic; as we got to know it from many years in Greece. By that I don't mean eating in the hotel or on the beach promenade; but in the hinterland. P.S. Gyros are actually not as popular in GRI as they are in Germany.

It was average... ambience ok, service ok, food good. However, the prices are tough. The price for a children's meal (see picture) is really outrageous.

Ich kann die guten Bewertungen von diesem Restaurant nicht bestätigen, wir haben extrem versalzenes Gyros bekommen und als wir gefragt wurden, ob alles in Ordnung sei und wir ehrlich geantwortet haben, sind wir in dem Lokal von dem Chef vor allen Gästen förmlich angeschrien worden und als unnormal bezeichnet. Der Chef teilte uns lautstark mit, dass sich noch nie jemand über sein Essen beschwert hätte und dass er sich das wirklich nicht anhören muss und uns in dem Restaurant nicht wieder sehen möchte . So etwas habe ich noch nie erlebt.

We had a spontaneous meal at Olympia today, the restaurant was completely full and yet we were served quickly and very nicely. The meal took a little longer, but it was completely normal for this establishment. Everything tasted very tasty! The service staff are super child-friendly and one or two lollies and ice cream were included on the house. We definitely recommend the restaurant and will definitely come back next time we visit SPO! Thank you 😀

Went to this restaurant for the first and last time today. It was full and the boss seemed overwhelmed right from the start. Sometimes I didn't know which table had which table number. It also took a long time to order the food. The Olympic plate was perfect and tasted good. The vegetarian pita, on the other hand, was an absolute joke for the price of 19.90. The pita bread was sticky, soggy and carelessly covered with tomatoes, feta and onions. There was nothing more on the inedible bread. Plus fries and two dips. When we said this to the boss in a calm and friendly manner, he became loud and rude. Nobody had ever complained in his 40 years and what we would come up with to complain about the food. No apologies or anything like that. Then the gentleman shouldn't ask after his 40 years how it tasted if he doesn't want to hear the answer.

The staff is very friendly. The restaurant could use an upgrade in terms of furnishings. Unfortunately, the food was a bit over-seasoned during our current visit. Gyros had too much salt and the fresh onion rings were seasoned with paprika.

Visit to a restaurant 2 weeks ago with 4 adults and 2 children. Friendly welcome from the hosts. Very friendly service from the young waiter. Starter was OK, but main courses were not. Our objections were taken into account but dismissed from above. The restaurateur showed no insight into the defects. Rather, he was talking about us to another guest. There was no request for separate payment of the bill. Unfortunately not recommended. "Proud Greeks"

My husband and I were guests there last night. We felt very comfortable. The food was very tasty. Exactly to our taste. Everyone was very friendly and asked if everything was OK. Then there was delicious ouzu on the house. At the son-in-law's recommendation, we tried another ouzo that tasted even better. We were very pleased to have a personal conversation with the son-in-law. Here is the guest, king. We are only holidaymakers, but when we are here again we will be guests in your small and very fine restaurant again. Because the ouzo was so delicious, we bought a bottle of it last night. Thanks for the tip. All the best to them and keep being kind. Then you won't run out of guests.

Nice little cozy and quaint restaurant. From the salad to the dishes, the food is fresh and homemade and of high quality and good taste. We have been there several times in the last few years and every time it was of the same high standard, so we absolutely recommend it. A must for the SPO holidaymaker, so to speak.

Great food prepared by the boss himself. We've often had great meals, even in large groups, and always to the utmost satisfaction. Even slightly different compositions than stated on the map are not a problem. We always feel well cared for and more than comfortably full.

Food was great and everything was freshly prepared. The dishes would be cleared away after the meal, also fine. But I found it a bit strange that the empty glasses would be cleared away even after you had finished drinking. We felt like we should pay now and leave. That at 8:00 p.m. The restaurant is open until 10 p.m., but we were the last guests, maybe that was why. New review from today, I tried to order a table 2 weeks ago. Unfortunately without success. Reason: We always have space for 2 people. When we arrived there was no room for us, we were told to come back in 30 to 45 minutes. So wait outside in windy weather, no thanks. I also heard in the restaurant that the guests present didn't get a salad - they simply forgot about it. So we will avoid the restaurant in the future. Every guest should expect to get their dinner from Aldi.

The service is extremely polite, friendly and accommodating. The space is small but nice and exactly perfect for the targeted atmosphere - LIKE HOME, because there is nothing else the dear owner Georgio wants to achieve with his small, very big dream of a piece of home in Greece in Sankt-Peter Ording. We are more than comfortable and as in It felt like you had your own dining room, not least because of the private transport service to the holiday home. Der Service ist sehr, sehr höflich, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Platzangebot ist klein , aber fein und genau perfekt für die gezielte Atmosphäre - WIE ZUHAUSE, denn nichts anderes möchte der liebe Georgio mit seinem kleinen, ganz großen Traum, ein Stückchen Heimat von Griechenland in Sankt-Peter Ording - erreichen. Wir haben uns mehr als wohl und wie im eigenen Esszimmer gefühlt, nicht zuletzt wegen dem privaten Fahrservice bis zum Ferienhaus. Wir wünschen euch von Herzen alles, alles Liebe, weiterhin viele nette Gäste und dass ihr eines nie verliert, euer Herz am richtigen Fleck! WIR kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!

The menu offers everything for lovers of Mediterranean cuisine and the chef and his team prepare the culinary delight themselves in front of the guests. Thanks to the open kitchen, every guest has the opportunity to follow the coordinated process of preparing the food and see how professionally their dish is being prepared. So if the little taverna wasn't in SPO, I would feel like I was back in Greece in my beloved, Tessaloniki.
