Beautifully decorated, relaxing music, and very friendly service. The food was incredibly delicious—but it somehow sat heavy in my stomach for a long time… maybe because of all the fat?

It was a lovely evening. The man (I think the owner) who served us was very friendly and always had a smile on his face. He gave us excellent advice and was available to answer any questions. The food was delicious, and there was a wide selection. There was something for every taste. We'll be back again and again, and we're happy to do so. This restaurant deserves more attention. 😋

It was a wonderful evening for my wife and me. We received a warm welcome, and the service was very attentive without being intrusive. Since it was our first time there, each dish was personally presented to us by the chef, and we even had a few tastings. Everything was freshly prepared, and you can taste it. We will be back several times; there's still so much to try.

The restaurant is very authentic, the service is great and the food is very delicious! There was a small misunderstanding in my order but the owner insisted to give me an extra meal with my correct order although the false order was super delicious and I was totally fine with it! Yes, this restaurant is recommended. Authentic, delicious food, lovingly and freshly prepared and served. We spent a wonderful evening at the Oliven restaurant with four adults and two children. There was a welcome from the kitchen, homemade flatbread with fresh salad, herbs, and cream cheese, mixed cold and warm appetizers (all delicious; my favorite was Kashke Bademjan, eggplant cream), a main course with a grilled lamb, chicken with delicious basmati saffron rice, and grilled vegetables, and Persian ice cream and faludeh for dessert. The service was exemplary, competent, and in a family atmosphere. The host took great pleasure in advising us and our grandchildren, who were thrilled with his recommendation (grilled chicken with basmati butter saffron rice instead of the "children's plate") and ate everything! Our family is familiar with Arabic cuisine and receives high praise for the dishes with their varied seasonings. We absolutely loved the house dough (a yogurt drink with mint). We made a reservation by phone the same day, and everything went smoothly. Only finding parking in the backyard was a bit tricky, but we arrived early enough and found good spots.

Never again No meat in the kubide, just soy. The lamb kebab was also too hard and inedible. DO NOT RECOMMEND. I was there on July 9th.

Two of us (and our dog) ate there today. The food was ready quickly, tasted very authentic, and was relatively inexpensive. Overall, it was excellent. We especially recommend the desserts, which offer something truly new for the German palate. We'd love to come back!

It had been on our to-do list for a while. We finally made it. Making a reservation by phone was a breeze. A good selection of dishes, and the preparation time was also reasonable. The only drawback was the heaters, which couldn't be turned down.

This is what hospitality looks like! I have gotten pick-up and delivery several times. Yesterday, the restaurant mixed up my delivery order. The next day, I called to inform them and they immediately delivered the correct item, free of charge - thank you so much. Possibly the best customer service I've experienced in Germany. Great to have new flavours enter the culinary map of Rostock, too. Food is delicious, although the vegetarian selection could be bigger.

We had dinner there last Saturday and it was great. The food is authentic (I know Persian cuisine very well) and the service is very attentive and friendly. There is nothing to complain about, we will definitely come back on our next visit.

Wow. We were here on February 14th for Valentine's Day. Despite the fact that the restaurant was very full, we were greeted very friendly and seated straight away. Cards were brought to us immediately and someone came quickly to take our order. We didn't have to wait long for drinks and food and everything tasted wonderful. Definitely recommended!!!! Overall, a clear recommendation, especially because it is somewhat hidden and inconspicuous in an inner courtyard and offers a good and welcome change compared to the other restaurants in the area! 👍

Short trip to Rostock on May 13th, 2024 with a spontaneous decision to have dinner at the Oliven Restaurant. A bit hidden but easy to find with Google. If, like us, you try “Persian cuisine” for the first time, you may have to prepare yourself for surprises. Basically you have to say everything tasted good. But whether, for example, Court 35/GHORMEH SABZI should be like this? Tenderly cooked lamb in a Persian herb sauce; was more sauce than meat. Simple, not exaggerated presentation. I generally like that.😃 The service is very friendly. All in all, satisfied. And, maybe we'll come back again. 🤓 Until then, all the best.

The food was delicious and for the price I would have gotten much less from other Catarians. The quality corresponds to what we were able to experience in advance in the restaurant.
