Short trip to Rostock on May 13th, 2024 with a spontaneous decision to have dinner at the Oliven Restaurant. A bit hidden but easy to find with Google. If, like us, you try “Persian cuisine” for the first time, you may have to prepare yourself for surprises. Basically you have to say everything tasted good. But whether, for example, Court 35/GHORMEH SABZI should be like this? Tenderly cooked lamb in a Persian herb sauce; was more sauce than meat. Simple, not exaggerated presentation. I generally like that.😃 The service is very friendly. All in all, satisfied. And, maybe we'll come back again. 🤓 Until then, all the best.

The restaurant is okay. The service was very nice. The dirty sheet that is supposed to cover the entrance to the kitchen from the outside certainly has a purpose. I would have expected a little more from the dishes but it was still good.

We had food delivered to us for an event from Oliven Restaurant. In short: fantastic! The delivery and collection was punctual and uncomplicated. The food was delicious and for the price I would have gotten much less from other Catarians. The quality corresponds to what we were able to experience in advance in the restaurant. Beautiful Persian restaurant with incredibly tasty authentic dishes, very good service and friendly and courteous staff. There were five of us and we spent a very nice evening there. The grilled dishes and kebabs are particularly recommended. The meat is mildly seasoned, tender and just right. The basmati rice is fragrant, typically seasoned with saffron and the side dishes are very tasty. The prices are more than just reasonable, almost too cheap for the service offered. The restaurant is located in a courtyard. There is parking, but the yard entrance could be very narrow for large SUVs. We will definitely dine there again when we are in Rostock again.

Today, April 6th, 2024, around 3:00 p.m., we were in the “Olive” restaurant with 3 people. The friendly waitress gave us a window seat. Because the sun was shining so beautifully outside, we also got this seat inside still get some of it. We didn't have to wait long for the food and everything tasted perfect. We are frequent guests in this restaurant, I can only recommend it.

We visited the Persian Olive Restaurant in Rostock on the occasion of the Norouz festival and were extremely happy with our experience. The ambience was inviting and the atmosphere festive, which perfectly suited the celebration. The food was exceptionally tasty and authentically prepared in Persian style. Each dish was prepared with fresh ingredients and demonstrated high quality and care. We were particularly impressed by the variety of the menu and the attentiveness of the staff, who were always friendly and courteous. Overall, our visit to the Persian Olive Restaurant was a real treat and we recommend it to anyone looking for authentic Persian cuisine in Rostock.

We had a very tasty meal there. Other guests were there for an Arabic family celebration, so it was a little louder, with serenades etc. But that was okay. It was interesting, later there was dancing too. You should check the opening times beforehand, the restaurant only opens at 5 p.m., ie. There is no lunch :-) .

The food was delicious and we immediately felt very comfortable. The service was super nice and hospitable. Only the color of the ceiling lighting (the chandelier) was a little uncomfortable. We'd love to come back! Overall we were absolutely thrilled :)

The food was so delicious that we ate there two days in a row. It's hard to find the restaurant, it's in a backyard. The search is worth it. The service staff were very friendly. An absolute must if you like oriental cuisine. Be sure to order in advance, it was always very well attended.

I was here for the second time today and it was again incredibly tasty. The service is very courteous and friendly. The food fresh and delicious. An absolute recommendation are the starter plates, cold and warm... both very good. As a main course I had lamb shank, which was so tender.. 🥰 Thank you for this great restaurant.

All I'm saying is: go ahead and have the courage. This is tasty and well prepared. There is a lot of love in the family business. The staff are polite and accommodating. Language can become a slight problem when it becomes more complex, but that quickly goes away. Because the ambience is special. There is even historical significance to the fireplace in the middle of the room. Horse hooves were once forged here to care for Rostock's horses. Exciting and worthwhile.

Ich liebe dieses Restaurant. Wir gehen dort regelmäßig essen und genießen es jedes mal sehr. Das Essen ist wirklich super und das sage ich selten, weil ich selber sehr viel koche und wirklich anspruchsvoll bin. Aber dort habe ich nichts zu meckern. Ebenerdiger Zugang und somit für Rollstuhl oder auch GehehilfenbenutzerIn geeignet (trotz dessen Sicherheitshalber im Vorfeld einen Tisch im ebenerdigen Bereich reservieren). Ein bisschen versteckt liegt diese Perle in einem Innenhof in der Rostocker Kröpeliner Vorstadt. Tolles Ambiente und nette Gastgeber. Die Beratung war prima. Ich habe noch nie in meinem Leben so köstliche Oliven in Walnuss-Granatapfel-Creme gegessen. Die Hauptspeisen mit 7 Kräutern und roten Bohnen bzw Hühnchen auf Teller 2 waren ebenfalls große Klasse. Die Weinbegleitung stimmte: Wir sind im Anschluss an den Besuch satt und glücklich in unserem Hotel angekommen. Ich hoffe, bald wieder kommen zu dürfen.

Sehr freundliches Personal schon bei der Reservierung am Telefon. Bedienung sehr freundlich /deutschsprachig geht auf Kundenwünschen und Fragen ein . Speisen sehr lecker und mehr als ausreichend. Getränkepreise wie überall etwas hoch, dafür das Speisenangebot im Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Es hat uns als Gäster sehr gut gefallen und empfehlen es weiter.

Было очень вкусно, большие порции. Очень приятная атмосфера,музыка ,отличное меню и цены хорошие.Особенно хочется отметить вкучнейшие кебабы, отлично приготовленный рис и размер порций, голодным точно остаться не получится. Хочется возвращаться к вам снова-и-снова.. Желаю вам успехов и процветания!!!

I have tried many Persian restaurant in Europe and specially Germany. Oliven Restaurant in Rostock in one of top 3! Fresh and delicious persian food, hospitality and free parking in 3 meters!! You won't regret.
