O'Atlántico in Hannover

We had tapas, here. The mushrooms, garlic oil shrimp, meatballs, aubergine, garlic spread, and some. Most of them were delicious, I must note that I Found the shrimp only mediocre. Overall a nice experience.

The female waitress (October 15th) was absolutely fantastic. Very attentive.

Pleasantly surprised!! I was there 12 years ago, and the grilled squid tubes (first time I've eaten them) really blew me away, along with the other tapas! I went back today, and the 5 tapas we had between us were not only really delicious, but overall (even with just 1-2 pieces of bread, which was really filling for us!) Drinks were brought promptly after we were served! Service was attentive and friendly! The food was served quickly, despite the place being full (a quick nod was enough!) Delicious bread with a truly delicious, creamy aioli was brought after about 10 minutes, followed by the other tapas about 3 minutes later. We had: 1. Grilled squid tubes with a delicious, harmonious herb sauce (?🤔 I can't name 🤷) and half a lemon (a bit more expensive, but the quantity was surprisingly large!!!) I thought the price was more than reasonable, actually too cheap!!!! 2. The aioli was spicy, creamy, and really good with the delicious bread. 3. I particularly recommend the salad with arugula, tomatoes, walnuts, and a large piece of cheese that perfectly complemented it, combined with some really great balsamic vinegar!!

The four of us had a fantastic evening. The service was excellent, and the size of the tapas was surprising, leaving us more than full. We didn't have a reservation, so we were a bit lucky to get a table. Many thanks to the team!

Good food, albeit lacking in salt. Meat and fish dishes, fried or grilled. Very plentiful and naturally flavorful. Salt is available, however, and helps enormously in bringing out the flavor. Quite loud and unfortunately always full. But it was good for business.

We were there as a group. We had three fish platters with side dishes, as well as a variety of tapas for three people. The unanimous opinion: Absolutely delicious and generously portioned. The fish in all dishes was cooked to perfection, juicy, and not dry. The staff was friendly and attentive. The decor is simple and understated, but perfectly harmonious.

The food is excellent and the service very attentive. The ambiance is typically Spanish, a little loud at times, but that's not a problem and only makes the evening more "Spanish." We were very satisfied; the menu offered great dishes and great value for money. That's not the case with all Spanish restaurants in and around Hanover. So we'll be happy to come back, despite the somewhat longer journey.

We're visiting Hanover and chose this restaurant based on the positive reviews here. The menu is varied, offering everything from fish and meat to vegetarian dishes. The ambiance is great, and the service is very friendly. However, we had to wait a very long time (almost 2 hours) for our food, and it tasted mediocre. The fish was overcooked, and the meat was also very tough. The paella is okay, but I've had better. All in all, it's okay, but I wouldn't recommend it and won't come back.

Very tasty Spanish cuisine. Very good variety, friendly service. I'm not entirely fond of the ambiance. New tables have been ordered, which I don't think fit the cozy Spanish atmosphere. Everything will soon be blue, meaning blue seats that make a restaurant feel cold. However, they're more comfortable to sit on than the uncomfortable wooden chairs.

We recently visited the restaurant again after a long time and found that O'Atlántico still impresses with delicious food. Unfortunately, you can see the increasing stress in the service and the large number of guests to be served. The previous comfort of eating has therefore taken a back seat and you feel driven to finish eating quickly. The ambience is still clean and well-kept, but it is also cramped and loud, so communicating with each other can sometimes be a bit difficult. Nevertheless, the restaurant is still worth a visit and it certainly won't be our last time there.

My first time tapas was a great experience! The next time we are in Hanover we would like to come back. Thank you.

We ordered different tapas and there was plenty to choose from. No matter whether you are a vegetarian, a fish lover or etc. there is something for everyone. The service was super nice and nothing was forgotten.

The food (swordfish and tapas) and the drinks (highly recommended sangria made from cava sparkling wine) were extremely tasty. Although it was Saturday evening and the restaurant was full to capacity, the service was quick and attentive. The friendly Patricia in particular took great care of us, so that it was a very nice and cozy evening. We'll definitely come back.

That will not do! We had reserved a table for 5:30 p.m. today. My husband got there 30 minutes early and waited outside. He didn't want to go to the restaurant yet; it was clear to him that he could go in before 5:30 p.m. My husband knocked on the door because he wanted to ask something, the employee threw the door open and yelled at my husband in a completely arrogant and condescending tone. It doesn't work that way, you can also say things politely, my husband felt very bad.

Edit 2024: the waitresses sometimes don't understand enough German, tapas are sometimes forgotten. Cool atmosphere after renovation. I found it brighter, better, my friends found it cold and impersonal. The restaurant is open until 10:30 p.m. As early as 9:50 p.m. we were told that we would like to pay now, as they would then call it a day. At that point there were still 4-5 tables occupied. Then change the opening times to 10 p.m.!! Very tasty food, service was unfortunately unfriendly and indifferent. The restaurant was well attended, the kitchen still works quickly, reservations are recommended. Ambience so-so.

We had a great evening with our friends yesterday. A really nice restaurant, great ambience and very nice service. We had a table full of tapas, followed by a very tasty main course (again, way too much but worth every cent). I can only recommend this restaurant. But there is also a minus point, It may not happen, but it can happen from time to time. There was something in my food that didn't belong there. I put it on my napkin and called de n boss. Without a comment or apology he disappeared with my napkin, without a comment or apology. Too bad. Nevertheless, this restaurant is highly recommended.

Top address for tapas in Hanover... definitely reserve a table, because it's almost never possible to be spontaneous, especially if you want to sit outside in the evening in summer. Definitely give it a try... definitely worth it!

The food was not very good. The price was on the high end. And the staff ran around sloshing wine into the glasses and you felt you had to hurry. We got a tapas platter with fish as well as a plate with a boring cutlet. The fish dish did not taste of anything. The rose wine we got was quite nice though

Absolute recommendation. I particularly liked the really nice service and the selection of food. With two drinks, a starter salad, soup and a main course it was around €40.

At first my friend smiled when I reserved a table for 7 p.m. on a normal Tuesday evening. When we arrived, it quickly became clear that it was a good idea. The O'Atlantico filled up quickly and just ten minutes after we arrived the first guests were waiting in the entrance area because nothing was available. The service is very nice and warm, and we made a good choice for us with the Mallorcan rosé from the wines on offer. The goat cheese salad was very tasty, unfortunately with far too much ruccola, and the grilled sea bream. My fish platter also tasted good, the salmon was a bit dry, the portions were very generous. Overall, a very nice evening with delicious, if not perfect, food. Still a clear recommendation.
