unfortunately we had to wait 2h for our food. then the chicken arrived dry. the staff seems to be super overwhelmed by the amount of orders coming in. maybe dont take wolt orders while people are waiting at the restaurant. everyone is really nice though and i feel sorry having to write such a bad review 🖤

A beautifully simply furnished restaurant with modern and beautifully created regional dishes. A discreet and very attentive service. The starters (tartar and mussels) were to die for, the main course (venison and turbot) were wonderful and the dessert (crumble) was incredibly delicious. The portions were sized just right. Prices are completely reasonable in relation to the quality! The only drawback is the open kitchen, so that the smell of the fried food is relatively strong in the room and the clothes have to be put on the balcony for a night afterwards, hence only 4/5 stars.

Highly recommended! The food was excellent and the service outstanding. A little pricey, but justified by the quality and complexity of the dishes. This is the perfect restaurant for a special evening out.

Good was good but service rude for the procedure pay

The food was delicious and the chefs are very creative. I was able to totally unwind in this beautifully designed, intimate and quiet restaurant. Felt like I was back in NYC.

Kleine aber feine Speisekarte mit kurzen Wartezeiten. Kellner über die Maßen aufmerksam und freundlich. Preislich alles aber sehr hoch angesetzt und dafür sind die Portionen sehr klein. Das Ambiente ist auch recht kühl. Es steht immer die Tür auf. Für die Preise und die Unterkühlung gibt es leider zwei Sterne Abzug.

noto is one of our absolute favorite restaurants in all of Berlin. Jost is a wonderful host, and the food is inventive and amazing. Berlin has an inconsistent gastronomy scene, but you will never find that at noto. It is an incredible dining experience every single time.

"Noto's favourite" has been one of my favourite spare ribs so far. The place has very good service and all the menu and desserts are freshly made and tasted unique and delicious. Highly recommended!

Die Kellner sind jedes Mal zutiefst reizend und sehr zuvorkommend. Das macht mir bei jedem Besuch durch und durch viel Wohlgefallen.Ich wollte den Nachtisch meist gar nicht mehr mit meinem Gefolge teilen. Wir alle haben nun daraus gelernt und werden nächstes Mal jeder eine Nachtisch bestellen.Die Tische wurden einwandfrei gereinigt und die Stühle waren überaus bequem.Wir sind völlig positiv überrascht. Wir beide werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Los camareros no se preocupan por los invitados después de que se sirve el plato principal. Esperamos más de 20 minutos para pedir otra bebida.

Nach längerer Pause haben wir wieder mal einen gelungenen Abend im Noto erlebt und genossen. Aus der verhältnismäßig kleinen Menükarte haben wir die perfekte Wahl für Vorspeise und Hauptgericht getroffen, die Spezialität des Hauses *Kalbs-Spareribs* durften nicht fehlen. Dazu einen edlen Cune Rioja Reserva zu einem wirklich fairen Preis. Ein kleineres Restaurant mit toller Atmosphäre und der Chef kümmert sich persönlich um einen aufmerksamen Service.

Very impressed! At first sight, the cozy and laid back venue together with what seemed like an understaffed kitchen/room made me think dinner here would be just another classic Berlin restaurants where the hype is only matched by the slow service and attitude of the waiters. Nothing further than what we found here at Noto. Service managed to be there at all times for us, and the food and wine were memorable. Best ribs I've eaten outside Texas :) Totally recommend Noto and big kudos to the staff for the smashing experience.

Enjoyed the food despite dessert was not to my taste.

Wir leben zwar schon seit rund 10 Jahren in Berlin Mitte, direkt um die Ecke vom Noto, aber hatten diese Lokalität bisher noch nicht aufgesucht. Anfang der Woche also Premiere: Minimalistisch aber nicht kühl, sehr präsente aber nicht aufdringliche Bedienung. Wir hatten mehrheitlich das Maronen- Austernpilz- Wellington mit Spinat, Kürbis- Zimt- Püree und waren allesamt geflasht. Sehr sehr feines Essen und passende Weinempfehlung. Werden in Zukunft häufiger kommen - das Niveau der Torstraße bleibt sehr hoch - auch wenn viele Wechsel stattfinden, einige Restaurants sind sehr lange da. Qualität setzt sich durch. Wir kommen wieder!

Waren gestern zu dritt zu Gast im noto. Sehr schönes Ambiente. Ein wunderbarer "gemütlich-minimalistisch-schicker" Laden. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Weinkarte vom Feinsten. Kleine Karte immer gut. Lammschulter war fantastisch, Muscheln ebenfalls. Dazu super freundlicher und aufmerksamer Service. Wird nun bei jedem Berlin-Trip besucht.

Excellent, 11/10 would go again.

Es gibt eine kurze aber toll festgelegte Karte alternativ ein Menü bei dem die Vorspeise und der Hauptgang aus zwei Alternativen gewählt werden kann. Alles wird frisch in der offenen Küche zubereitet. Service einwandfrei. Ich komme wieder!

Als mijn tong het voor het zeggen had, en Google de mogelijkheid bood, had noto 6 sterren gekregen. Man, man, man wat lekker! Eerst een apart soepje (gecarameliseerde Jeruzalem artisjok met peer en walnoten), daarna een uitstekend bereide makreel, mals en zonder graten. Zelfs de capuccino was helemaal af. Ga eens langs, als je in Berlijn verblijft. Zelfs de prijs valt niet tegen.

Einfach gut! Wäre nur schön wenn es besser besucht wäre.

Al leer otras críticas nos habíamos hecho otra idea y esperábamos más cocina típica alemana. Realmente el sitio está genial, muy agradable y todo muy rico y pasado el shock inicial de encontrar algo distinto a lo esperado, nos gustó mucho. Basado más en cocina alemana modernista.

We waited our food for a long time. The food was overpriced and not tasty. For instance take a look at this burned meat that we ordered.

Ich bin auf meinem Weg entlang der Torstraße zufällig am noto vorbei gekommen und habe mich nach kurzem Check im Internet entschlossen, den Laden mal zu testen. Dass es als offene Weine nur die deutschen gibt, ist nicht schlimm: der Grauburgunder ist großartig. Zum als Gruß aus der Küche gereichten Dip mit Basilikum und Limette(?) gab es zweierlei frisches Brot, ein dunkel gebackenes Soda Bread-ähnliches und ein völlig geschmacksneutrales weißes. Das Tartar war spektakulär angerichtet und geschmacklich durchaus gut. Doch als ich ein weißblondes Haar darin fand, das mich sehr an die Bedienung erinnerte, war mein Hunger spontan gestillt. Dass die selbe Bedienung dann ein wenig später am Nachbartisch (oder genauer: darunter) einen Hund ausgiebig liebkoste, ließ mich dann auch von der Beschwerde wegen der Haare absehen. Der Standard in Sachen Hygiene scheint hier einfach "anders" zu sein. Viel Erfolg. Ich werde zumindest nicht mehr hierher kommen.

We found the restaurant while wandering the area and liked the vibe of it. The menu is short but the flavour combinations amazing! The waitress was super friendly and whilst this isn’t a cheap restaurant we felt the food warranted the price tag.

I had dinner with my wife on Friday night because we were looking for something close to our hotel. Its a small place next to a busy street but food and wine selection were outstanding. Everything was top notch and we couldnt have asked for a better last day Berlin dinner experience. Maybe a bit expensive but the amazingly friendly service makes up for it! Mein zweiter Besuch im Noto. Und es hat sich auch diesmal wieder gelohnt. An einem warmen Juni-Abend nimmt man sogar den Verkehrslärm der Torstraße in Kauf, um „an der frischen Luft“ zu sitzen. Natürlich wäre ein lauschiger Innenhof noch schöner... Aber die Küche hat uns dafür verwöhnt. Schon der Einstieg mit dem geteilten Brotsalat und dann mit den Startern Tartar und Jakobsmuscheln waren echte Volltreffer. Und so gings auch mit den Hauptgängen Entrecote und Seeteufel zu einem schönen Finale aus Käseauswahl und leckerem Crumble-Brownie. Nicht wirklich günstig aber doch der angenehm aufmerksame Service versöhnt auch in diesem Punkt. Definitiv ein sehr gutes Lokal in Mitte!

We visited the place as it was one of the best rated restaurants in the Mitte district where we were residing. We were not disappointed. The guy running the place greeted us warmly. After an excellent pre-dinner drink we sat down on an outside table. Menu choice is not vast (maybe 4-5 options for both starters and mains) but all the food was excellent and well presented. Highly recommended.

Just had an excellent meal at Noto. Staying in Hackeschermarkt area and walked up a few blocks and stumbled into this restaurant. Small, intimate place full of locals with great food and wonderful service. Highly recommend!

Nous avons suivi les conseils d’un ami. Nous n’avons pas été déçu en prenant le tartare de saumon et le ribs. Mais le rapport qualité/prix est un peu cher nous semble t-il.

Our group of four picked Noto based on the excellent Tripadvisor reviews - we were not disappointed. Food and service were excellent. I had Saltimbocca Cod, and others had the steak with white asparagus. I had duck breast salad as an appetizer. Every dish was excellent, with great flavors and sauces. Service was extremely friendly and attentive. This restaurant is a great dinner choice, but it is relatively small, so good idea to make reservations. Price is moderately high - about 50 Euro per person for dinner, but well worth the cost.

Small but very cozy Italian restaurant at Torstraße. The atmosphere is chill and charming, loved the interior style. Service is always welcoming, friendly and patient even when you take picture no 100 of the beautiful kitchen sink. The menu isn’t bug but offers something for any taste. We tried the fish saltim bocca, the duck and soup of the day. All very good and products of good quality. Definitely a recommendation in Mitte.

Ich hätte gern 5 gegeben weil es lecker war, aber die Preise der Speisen sollten aber auch den Portionen gerechtfertigt sein. Das Lachs Tartar war für über 11€ mir gefühlten 15g Lachs etwas overpriced. Da muss man einfach mal die Kirche im Dorf lassen. Service war super aufmerksam und nett.

Auch nach Jahren bietet das Noto eine sehr gute Qualität zu fairen Preisen. Unbedingt vorher reservieren.

I have visited NOTO in multiple occasions as I live nearby. Their Kalbs-Spareribs is a delicacy, they are so-claimed favourite for a reason: tender & perfectly slow cooked. The cornbread seemed to me an odd addition but perfect for the glacy ribs. 1) They got a good seasonal change on their menu. 2) Not a wide wine selection, but sommelier is serious about the offers Visited regularly so changed my four stars to five based on their service and passion .

Wir haben fabelhaft gegessen, die weiße Gazpacho aus Mandeln war ein besonderes Erlebnis. Das Entrecote war perfekt gebraten und die Beilagen gut abgestimmt. Weinempfehlung ebenfalls super. Jederzeit wieder!

It wasn’t a pleasant experience. The waiter there misunderstood spareribs into spargel. After that he taught us an English lesson, and blamed us before we did complaints. His attitude made us feel even guilty. So we accepted this asparagus dish, because we are almost pushed to do this. The service quality is superficially good, but the core is actually an arrogant way.

Food is just fine, low cost performance. Besides, the service quality still needs to be improved.

Lovely, cozy restaurant with excellent food and service. The cod on saffron risotto and the accompanying mussels were tender and paired with a light dill cream sauce. The beet gnocchi was rich and paired with robust parmesan. Nice wine list. Great area of town!
