Niki in Laatzen

Absolutely delicious. Excellent service. Update November 2025: Unfortunately, the bifteki has shrunk considerably since then. It was still delicious, though.

The service was very friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is pleasant. Despite our fairly large group (10 people), everyone's food arrived at the same time. The portions were generous, and the food was truly delicious. The gyros, for example, was crispy and not gristly or sinewy at all. Simply delicious. The fries were also crispy and not at all soggy. It would be nice to have some bread and olive oil on the table beforehand. We were given cardboard containers for the doggy bags, which I also think is very progressive. All in all, a restaurant that I would recommend and will definitely visit again!

We ate there several times during the trade fair. It was always delicious, the whole team found something they liked, including vegetarians. We'll definitely be back.

My first Greek restaurant choice in Laatzen for many years. It doesn't quite reach 5 points (the tzatziki doesn't taste good and the Cretan potatoes are deep-fried).

Fresh food! Salads are always crisp, plates arrive steaming hot and, above all, at the same time. Authenticity is maintained in every respect, not least by the always friendly service! Centrally located at the "Laatzen/Eichstraße" tram stop and close to the "Hannover Messe/Laatzen" train station. Worth a visit, in my opinion!

We've been going to Niki for 25 years and have always been satisfied. Good food, always friendly, and fast service. We don't know of a better Greek restaurant. The customer isn't king at other Greek restaurants.

Friday evening, closo time on the website set at 23. Got a taxi on purpose to get there since it was before 21. Been told kitchen is closed but I don't how it was still possible to take take away. Looked like an excuse, terrible service.

Very attentive waiter. Garden area. We went back twice. Gyros with plenty of meat were perfectly prepared.

Although we had made a reservation in advance, the team seemed a bit overwhelmed by the large number of guests that evening. Unfortunately, there were a few misunderstandings regarding orders and queries, which led to duplicate orders. The service could have been a bit more cordial, and the food was rather mediocre in taste. Overall, the visit was okay, but with a little more attentiveness and friendliness, it certainly could have been better.

I've been here several times! Today was my first time eating beef fillet! Never had such a great fillet at a Greek restaurant! Juicy, tender, and simply delicious, the best (so far) from Niki! Plus, the friendly service and cozy atmosphere! Highly recommended!

I am known here as Mrs. Imyglikos - I usually come in a larger group and reserve tables - the food and service are very tasty and my friends feel at home - everyone I know likes coming to Niki!!

The food was good, the service attentive, and the price was reasonable. Why they don't serve tzatziki with gyros is beyond me, though. Gyros without tzatziki is simply boring and dry.

I was here for dinner. The staff was on the ball, friendly, and attentive. The food came relatively quickly and was very, very tasty! The meat was tender and the fries were crispy. I can recommend it without hesitation!

Very tasty food. We usually pick up some. I find the kritharaki casserole with Metaxa sauce and feta particularly delicious, and the amount is easily enough for two days.

There were two adults and two children with a dog. Everything was great. Good value for money for a family. Highly recommended. We were satisfied with everything.

The selection in Hanover is extensive. We don't experiment and go to Niki.

What a wonderful restaurant. The food is so authentic and delicious. The vine leaves are definitely homemade and absolutely amazing! The meat is juicy and tender. The service is incredibly friendly and so on-the-nose. And of course, they all love kids! We will definitely be back. Thank you!

The rooms are even larger at the back than they are visible from the front. The entrance is immediately at the parking lot, and the inside has a typical Greek flair. For dinner we had a starter platter and then pork fillet with Metaxa sauce, baked potato wedges and salad. The octopus was outstanding. Service was quick and courteous.

I'm giving it 4 stars because I've been happy so far. The food was tasty and the wine was great. I hope it stays that way, apart from the negative things from today (05.03.2025), food was good as always, only that my friend unfortunately found a piece of rubber in the baked potatoes today, that can happen but you have to be a little accommodating. I still give it 4 stars because something like this can always happen, even in a 1/2/3 star restaurant. Chef or server had a bad day. No matter go back, just if it happens again then never again and ???? greeting Klaus

There is nothing to complain about at all. Only the toilet is a bit small, but everything else is great. The food is fantastic, the service is unobtrusive but attentive, friendly, polite and accommodating. The prices are moderate All in all, the restaurant is a clear recommendation. The bifteki is excellent, the pans are absolutely great and the gyros are amazing. We like going there. Even at short notice without a reservation you can usually find a table. On public holidays you should definitely make a reservation in advance, but in which restaurant is this different?

Been there regularly for months. * * * Update 05/2018 * * * The meat portions are decent again. There are deductions for the vegetarian vegetable pan, which came without any significant side dishes and so you had to order some more.

Nettes Ambiente!, das war es dann schon! Bedienung patzig, ständig musste man sie auffordern uns zu bedienen. Das Essen war eigentlich bei allen von uns 8 Personen eine 4! Ein Essen ging zurück, weil das Steak durch war. Getränke waren warm, auf Anfrage gab es dann Eis. Mit den Worten: dann muss ich es von unten holen. Portionen überschaubar, außer Pizza, die war so dünn, das sie schlapp runter hing auf dem Tisch. Ekelig 🤢. Das bezahlen, mussten wir im Erdgeschoss erledigen bei der „Chefin die sich dabei lieber mit neuen Gästen beschäftigte, als mit zahlenden!!! Danke nie wieder👎🏻 👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻

Great Greek restaurant that has had good food for decades!!!!

From the outside the house looks a little older, but that is also due to the long time the restaurant has been here. The decor is clocky and cozy. As a starter I had grape leaves which were very tasty and as a main course I had gyros gratinated with cheese. It was good but I also know better ones. I didn't like the fact that there were mushrooms in it. I can But I can't remember if they're on the menu. Since I always eat gyros gratinated when I eat Greek, I may not have read correctly. The metaxa sauce was delicious. Overall, I was full and satisfied at the end. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Thank you for the lovely evening

Cozy and incredibly tasty lamb chops

We spontaneously looked for a table for 6 people and found something at Niki's. The staff was very nice and accommodating, which makes a great first impression. The food was good, the portion size felt quite different overall but fair for the price.

It's been a long time since I've eaten as bad a Greek meal as I did today. The last time was at Metaxa in Laatzen. The moussaka consisted mainly of potatoes, soaked in fat. Some minced meat and finely chopped eggplant. Dry feta caked on top, and the thick tomato paste didn't help either. I know Moussska from Greece, from Hanover and also from Inos in Grasdorf. My husband had a rhodo plate: The lamb cutlet was just fatty, the liver was completely dry, the souflaki was rubbery and the gyros were fried to death. Never eaten so badly. Sad for the animals who had to die for this miserable way of preparing meat. Never again Niki!!!

The food was good. Service good. What bothered us a bit was that the main course had already arrived even though the starter hadn't been eaten yet. On the next visit we will point out that the chef should take his time with the main course. Otherwise everything is good and you feel comfortable. Another visit is definitely on the cards. The hint worked, everything worked fine 😉 Will be back!!!

Reservation on a Saturday for 2 people at 7.30 p.m. The order was placed shortly after 7:30 p.m. and the food was served at 8:40 p.m. Beforehand, at around 8.15 p.m., we were told with a short apology that the note with our order had somehow been "missed". Based on the subsequent service at the other tables, it can only be that our order was entered into the "normal order sequence". Presentation of the invoice without comment at 9:12 p.m

We have been visiting “Niki” regularly since 1998 and it is always a very nice experience.

A very nice restaurant with an appealing atmosphere. The people are friendly and the food is very good. The prices are reasonable. Behind the restaurant there is a very pretty outdoor terrace. There you can dine in peace and have a good time.

A truly tasty travel to Greek dishes! A saganaki version that you rarely see in Greece (in Greece we mostly make it with yellow cheese) and a very tasty turkey gyros! I recommend it to any local, who wants to get an idea of what greek cuisine looks like and to any Greek who wants a taste travel back home! And trust me, I am Greek, so my standards were quite high!

The restaurant is easily accessible, located on the street but well protected. We sat outside and the only thing that bothered us was the wasps. Despite the large number of guests, the service was quick and very friendly. The drinks came quickly, including a free ouzo. The food didn't take long to arrive either. It was tasty and hot. You can pay the bill in cash at the table or with card at the counter. The prices are appropriate for the food and drinks. We'll be back :)

There is very tasty Greek food here. Since the menu has a platter with a variety of specialties that you can share, we were able to try a lot of things. I would like to highlight and praise one thing in particular and that is the very nice staff. Friendly, in a good mood and not intrusive.

We were able to sit and eat in the beer garden. The tables were nicely shaded by very large market umbrellas. The service was quick and attentive. Since it was a little further to the salad buffet, the salad was brought to the table. Great service. The menu offered a wide selection. The dishes were very tasty and were served hot. I found the prices to be very reasonable.

We come here every year for our wedding anniversary and were very happy again yesterday. My personal favorite were the dolmadakia! Gyros with Mataxa sauce and the cassis pan are also always great. The terrace and interior are beautiful. Service very attentive.

Food is delicious if you get a seat. Unfortunately, the outdoor area has a huge infestation of mosquitoes, so it's not really easy to sit there. If the restaurant can't help, you just have to hope for a seat inside.

Opening hours not OK. If they want to close you will be escorted out.

First there were mushrooms in the food contrary to the menu, then the alternative came when everyone else had already eaten and was completely over salted. The table was cleared while I was still eating and then the waiter wanted to take my plate away too.

Even without a reservation, it is always possible for two people to get a place at short notice. The friendly staff always makes it possible. The rustic ambience appears very cozy and invites guests to linger here for some time. The salad beforehand is always a taste experience. Fresh, crunchy and delicious. The drinks you order never take long to arrive and the food arrives within a very short time despite the full house. Unfortunately, the prices have risen significantly in recent years due to inflation, but compared to other Greek restaurants they are still perfectly fine. Price-performance ratio is still right and the portions, which sometimes seem a bit small, are always generous and fill you up very well. For me the best Greek in the Hanover region.

There were four of us eating at Niki (2 adults & 1 child, 1 baby). The restaurant has a nice Greek atmosphere. The service was rather reserved, but friendly. The food was brought quickly. In terms of taste, everything was okay, but compared to other Greek restaurants it was rather average. The lamb on the spit had a very strong taste. I fluctuated between 3-4 stars, but since the competition for Greek food is fierce, I'll stick with three. Unfortunately there was no changing table for our baby, so we had to change him in the parking lot.

Delicious solid Greek. Very friendly and attentive staff, even though we came without a reservation it wasn't a problem at all. One would be happy about a dollop of tzatziki with the dishes.
