When I first ate it, I was like, "Huh?!?!?" "This kind of quality is possible in Germany?..?" I think I would come all the way from Munich just to eat this. It is in no way inferior to the delicious kaisendon you can eat in Korea. I will gladly make the long journey again next time just to eat delicious sashimi! My Sicherheit best quality, gerne wieder!

Tokyoya is a highly recommended spot. 1. Food: The quality of the aged sashimi is top-notch, at a level that’s truly rare to find in Germany. Other dishes, including salads and side dishes, are also of exceptional quality. I was even pleasantly surprised by the final touch of the dessert, which was beautifully crafted and brought me a genuine moment of happiness. 2. Service: I wish I could give more than 5 stars for the service—6 or 7 would be more fitting. What impressed me most was the owner’s passion. Throughout our meal, his energy and genuine happiness were unmistakable. It was truly unforgettable and deeply moving. He visited our table multiple times within an hour, suggesting excellent pairings like white wine and sake. When we liked his suggestions, he was visibly pleased, radiating a warm, dazzling smile. I usually don’t prefer overly energetic or passionate people, as it can sometimes feel overwhelming or even aggressive. However, he was different. He balanced his enthusiasm with an awareness that made his service powerful and energetic, yet never aggressive—always perfectly toned and gently spoken. What surprised me even more was his ability to speak German, English, Korean, Japanese, and Italian! He also has deep knowledge about wine and sake, along with a thoughtfully curated wine list. If you’re looking for perfectly matched pairings with your meal, I highly recommend this place. 3. Atmosphere: The restaurant has a Japanese-inspired design, but also features Italian-style tables and interesting mixed cultural elements—very intriguing! Overall, I strongly recommend visiting Tokyoya. However, to fully enjoy the excellent service, I suggest going during quieter times.

I was so happy to be able to eat this quality sashimi at this price in Germany! They gave me Shizuoka tea as a service and it was so delicious~

After voting, as a student benefit, they provided me with a lot of high-quality sashimi with only the cost of ingredients!!! Luckily, they even let me taste expensive rose wine. Not only was it kind, but the quality of the food and the atmosphere of the store were all perfect. I definitely want to come back next time I want to eat sashimi!

It was the most delicious Japanese food I had in Germany.

We were looking for this restaurant on 1st May at lunch time (13:30) and we had the chance to eat here the two of us alone. This restaurant was the best experience ever for both of us since when we love Japanese cuisine and culture. The service was perfect, and the owner recommended the best dishes for our wishes. My son ate a delicious Chashu Ramen (the broth is cooked for 5 hours!) and I had a Tokujo Chirashi plus the free tasting of other specialities that are normally served for the full Omakase menu. The owner explained everything we asked with his authentic passion and extreme competence in our native language (Italian!). Look for this place because there is no other place in Frankfurt we will go to eat Japanese food after yesterday.

I was traveling alone and had a craving for ramen. When I arrived here, I had to decide immediately at the entrance what I wanted to eat and pay straight away. I had the feeling that I wasn't welcome as a solo traveler and so I didn't stay. Unfortunately, I can't judge whether the food is any good due to the very unfriendly behavior.

Best Japanese food this side of the world, perfect service, amazing atmosphere

Tokyoya is not probably but actually the best sushi and ramen restaurant in all of Frankfurt and perhaps also in all of Germany. (I have deduced this statement from my previous experiences in Japanese restaurants). I recommend everyone who likes and loves Japanese food, or even if you just want to eat something Japanese, to go to this restaurant. It is a very calm and serene restaurant. The employees are very open to any feedback and are also friendly.

I was also a regular at Tokyoya in Bad Homburg. I've been to a lot of ramen restaurants in Frankfurt, but I think this is the only one where I feel so comfortable after eating it and the flavor of the meat rather than the flavor of the seasoning. I asked directly and was able to see the pork and chicken broth boiling in the kitchen. There was really chewy chashu bubbling away. Because it operates next to a high-end restaurant. All services were self-service like McDonald's and although it was a bit expensive, it was worth it considering the ingredients and freshness.

The other day, I ate the ``Semi-Omakase Course'' (95 euros). Although the quality of the ingredients used and the dishes served are high, improvements are needed in the content of the courses, the customer service of the employees, and the cleanliness of the restaurant. It may be a good experience, but please refrain from using it on special occasions. The food itself was honestly good. Personally, I think next time I'll just eat sushi or sashimi instead of the course. Honestly, I would like to improve the following. 1. Store cleanliness: - The dining area is honestly not clean. There was a huge pile of dust next to the table. The table rotation seems to be slow and the number of customers seems to be low, but the cleanliness is terrible. - The bathroom floor is sticky. It can't be helped that the restroom is located in the basement, but the floor is extremely sticky. If there's something nasty on the soles of your shoes, they'll be so sticky that you'll be mistaken. Honestly, I wish they would do something about it because it's more sticky than the floor of a dirty Chinese restaurant in Japan. -The dishes are dirty. The dishes on the table were dirty. I had it changed, but the employee told me it was lime, not dirt. 2. Customer service: - There are almost no explanations of the dishes. I was served by someone who appeared to be the owner of the restaurant, but to be honest, it was annoying because he kept saying things that had nothing to do with the food itself, such as the high prices of the ingredients used and the background of the chef. The appetizers provided were very beautiful and delicious, and I wanted some explanations, but there were no explanations at all. I feel hopeless because the only answer I had to my question was ``I honestly don't know.'' - Honestly, it's unpleasant because I put down the dishes as soon as I finish eating. Even though I just put it in my mouth and am still chewing, I can lower it. There weren't many other customers, and the next dish wasn't served immediately after being served, so I don't really understand. - I think it's better to stop focusing on how amazing things you provide to your customers. I would like them to do this after they are at least able to explain the dishes they serve. Overall, it's really annoying, so maybe you should think about it a little more. 3. Course content - I think it depends on whether you like it or not, so it's not necessarily a bad thing, but it's a mystery to me whether it's necessary to include steak as a course at a sushi restaurant. Personally, I think it would be better to have sashimi or fish dishes instead of steak.

This restaurant is an absolute recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy high-quality, simple dishes that taste breathtaking. The staff puts a lot of heart and soul into the food and most of the ingredients are flown in weekly from Japan. You can taste the quality of the food with every bite.

A delicious restaurant in Frankfurt! I think there is probably no other Japanese restaurant of this standard anywhere in Europe! Each menu item is of a quality that reminds me of a really good Japanese restaurant. The drinks and pairings were great, the atmosphere was great, and it was a restaurant you could feel proud of! The whole dining process was very relaxed and enjoyable. The chef was very humorous and professional and patiently introduced each ingredient to us. The most impressive thing was the tuna belly, which melted in your mouth and was really delicious! After finishing one portion, they gave us an extra portion, which was so kind. Was ein toller Abend! Das Omakase Menü ist ausgewogen und es gibt nichts was nicht extrem lecker schmeckt. Der Service war persönlich und aufmerksam, man konnte alle Fragen stellen. Wir würden am liebsten jede Woche hier essen gehen :)
