The food was good. Unfortunately, you can't pay by card. You're sent to the bank around the corner and told to come back with cash. That can't be right...

It's 8 p.m. on a Saturday night, and I'm supposed to wait 45 minutes for a gyro plate. No thanks! And this isn't the first time I've experienced such long waits.

The salad and tzatziki were simply delicious. I haven't had such a large portion in a long time. The price/performance ratio is simply excellent. The staff are very friendly. What more could you want? We'll be back.

Everything is still freshly prepared in front of the customer, with truly outstanding quality. The gyro is, in my opinion, the best you can find in the entire area. But all the other dishes we've tried so far have been top-notch. Also worth mentioning are the delicious salads and, of course, the perfect tzatziki. The Nievenheimer Grill also places great emphasis on hygiene, and the staff are very friendly; simply a great team. I can only recommend everyone to try it for themselves. The price-performance ratio for the gigantic portions also deserves special mention. Definitely 5 stars +

Ordered and picked up food, the pizza was completely raw on the bottom. That wasn't the first time (the shawarma was overcooked). One employee is always in a bad mood (often writes things down incorrectly and then complains when you say something). Under the previous owner, everything was a real shame. We won't go there anymore.

Incredibly good food at a reasonable price. It's busy, but it all goes quickly. You can sit inside or outside, and many people take their food to go. You can order by phone.

We had a very disappointing experience here. When we ordered, we immediately requested a takeout gyro. We were assured that this wouldn't be a problem and that we should simply let them know. However, the food didn't arrive for an hour, even though we were originally told we would only have to wait 40 minutes. When we were served, we again pointed out that we wanted our gyro prepared for takeout. The answer was that we would get it fresh after we finished eating. When we went inside after our meal to pick up our takeout, we were suddenly told that they were out of meat and that we would have to wait another hour. This is absolutely unacceptable for us; we have rarely experienced such poor organization and communication. Never again!

The food is okay, but there are much better snack bars. The alleged owner, however, was remarkably unfriendly.

Once our favorite shop – now sadly disappointing We were satisfied customers for years, but the last four visits have been nothing but frustrating. Three times we were turned away with the explanation that "they were out of gyros" – even though the skewers were apparently well-stocked. Today we tried a fourth time – to no avail. The staff seems increasingly listless, and the older gentleman with glasses acted very annoyed and unfriendly towards us. We've never experienced anything like this here in the past. For us, the shop was number 1 in the area for a long time – which makes it all the more sad to see how things have turned out. We gave it several chances, but now it's finally over for us. A real shame.

All in all ok, prices are right, the portion of gyro was okay, for me there could have been a bit more meat and tzatziki, unfortunately my fries were probably leftovers from the bag, I had a lot of small ones on my plate.

I had a plate of currywurst and gyro. They would rather fill the whole thing with fries than meat. There were six small pieces of currywurst hidden under the gyro. Unfortunately, the quality of the gyro is great, but the rest is less than satisfactory. On top of that, they forgot to include the tzatziki. When we asked, they didn't believe us at first and then annoyed us and gave us the tzatziki that was on the counter. Of course, there was no apology. Unfortunately, all in all, a complete disappointment.

Delicious but can sometimes take time

Been there for the first time in years, nice staff, food for 4 people was ready quickly even though there was a lot going on in the shop and more guests came after us who were also served promptly. Food was very tasty, the price was completely OK, maybe even a bit too much, I ate for 2 days. We had schnitzel and gyros, everything was very tasty, including the sauces. Will definitely come back again.

We had two "large" fries, one with curry sauce and a Mezzo Mix, a Vita Malt 0.33l each and paid a whopping 15 euros. The fries were rather small, medium at best compared to other chip shops. I didn't get full from the fries!

Rude and unprofessional. We have been regular customers for years. Today was the first time an incident occurred that caused me to stop supporting this nasty shop. We ordered food, something different than what was ordered came. We complained about this immediately, but instead of responding to the complaint, they tried with all their might and in an incredibly cheeky manner and in a tone that I have never heard from the restaurant - to make us know that we ordered it that way, after all, the gentleman wrote it down that way. The idea that he might have written it down incorrectly didn't occur to you or you actually didn't want to hear it! Everyone makes mistakes, that's human - but the way the customer was treated here doesn't work for me at all!!! The employee who tried to save the situation and was very nice and offered to make the food new and offered that it was on the house should be commended. By then I had already lost the need. I give him the star alone. That was definitely our last visit here, even after years of customer loyalty.

Today the Nievenheimer Grill Restaurant is known far beyond Dormagen/Nievenheim. Gyros with fries and mayo. The gyro skewers are made there in-house, which speaks for quality. The menu is clear but offers enough choice. Meat was juicy and crispy. Cut a bit too thin for my opinion. Fries crispy and tasty. Only seasoned with salt instead of the usual seasoning salt. I think it tastes more potato-like. In summary, it is absolutely worth driving a little bit. These are they, the gems in the province.

I've been eating here for a good 10-15 years and I'm just as satisfied with the taste as I was on the first day. However, in recent years there has been a slow change in the form of portioning. The portions/performance ratio no longer matches AT ALL. It's unacceptable that you order a gyro plate for €13.50 and get a ridiculous portion of gyros. Unfortunately, the “old” operators slowly started to reduce the portions but increase the price. So it will definitely be the last time I eat here for quite some time. The taste of the food is a 10/10, but you are completely ripped off here in terms of price/performance.

Unfortunately, the recipe for the shish kebab sauce has changed, which is why I now use gyros more often. The quality is always top, the food is really tasty and you usually don't have to wait too long for your order. Also worth highlighting is the cleanliness on site.

The meat was exceptionally tender and perfectly seasoned, every bite a real taste experience. The herbs and spices were harmoniously balanced and complemented the meat perfectly. Fresh cabbage salt was served, which rounded off the dish perfectly. The portions were generous and the service was friendly and attentive. A visit here is a must for every lover of Greek cuisine. We were just there. I have rarely experienced such terrible service, even when writing down the order, I wrote everything down incorrectly and reacted hectically, stressed and annoyed. When our food came it wasn't right either, but we left it at that. We had ordered something to take away, which was also wrong. We then wanted it the way we ordered it. Then the gentleman who took the orders became abusive and spoke to me in a disrespectful, loud tone in front of other people, so that even his colleagues wanted to calm him down. Extremely unpleasant. Otherwise we enjoyed sitting there. I ask for an answer.
