Very tasty food, with friendly and courteous service from the staff. However, in my opinion, requiring card payments from 30 is not very modern or customer-oriented.

We went to the restaurant as a family. Since none of us eat meat, we were happy to have found a vegetarian restaurant, which was rather difficult as a tourist in Cologne... However, the restaurant did win us over. What was aggravating was that the waiter couldn't explain the dishes. A waiter should know what they're bringing to the table...

You can also sit outside, which is definitely better, as it gets very noisy inside when the place is full. The service is very pleasant and friendly. Reservations are recommended.

We wanted Vietnamese, so our feet carried us to "Ngon Ngon." The welcome was very warm. The food was excellent, and the service was friendly and helpful in choosing the dishes. The value for money is excellent, the ambiance inside is very authentic (just like in Vietnam), and you can also sit and eat outside. Conclusion: We felt very comfortable, and if you like authentic cuisine, this is the place for you. Best wishes, we'll be back!

Two spring rolls for almost €6 is crazy. They're delicious, but I also ordered noodles for pickup and didn't get any cutlery or napkins with them...

Didn't want to serve us unless payment with cash. No visa no MasterCard. Empty restaurant. No wonder why...

We were about to seat when they asked how we wanted to pay, I said card and they said only banks from Germany. I tried with Sparkass and Trade Republic cards (both located in Germany) and it didn't work so we had to leave. So much trouble for seating for dinner, no wonder why it was completely empty. Never seen a place complaining so much and being so picky about the payment method.

Great place for Vietnamese food, with lots of choices and an allergen menu. Unfortunately, I developed intolerance issues due to possible cross-contamination. The staff was super friendly and the service was fast. The price was great!

Service staff attitude, too bad

The food was average, but nothing special. There's a large sign outside the restaurant stating that card payments for amounts over €20 are accepted. When paying, however, the waiter insisted on cash, as the card machine wasn't working. The nearest ATM was a 15-minute walk away... This definitely should have been clearly communicated upfront!

Good Vietnamese cuisine with fast service! Simple and unfussy. The outdoor area on the street is also quite nice.

The beef soup was delicious, but the meat tasted too dry, floury in places, and clearly overcooked. What a shame.

The service is sometimes more or less friendly. I actually enjoy eating here; I especially find the tamarind sauce delicious. Unfortunately, they're skimping on the rice more and more. I always find it too little. When I once asked for a little more rice, I had to order an extra portion.

It took a little longer to receive our pho, but it was also busy. The portion was adequate. The noodle soup was tasty, but the broth was too sweet for my taste.

Stuffy, humid air. Sticky tables. Uncomfortable, narrow benches. Somewhat difficult linguistic communication with the waitresses. The food is served in very small bowls that are difficult to stir. Extremely greasy food, had to fight to get it all down. Strange arrangement of dish number 65, the duck breast was mixed with the vegetables, I had never seen it like that before. However, the speed of preparation and service is very fast. The taste is less than run-of-the-mill Asian snacks that you can find in any pedestrian zone, and the price is not exactly cheap. I have no idea why the store is so busy.

Unfortunately, the beginning was quite disappointing. We had a reservation for 7 p.m. and were on time. When we entered the restaurant, 8 other people were already standing and waiting to be seated (everyone had a reservation). The restaurant was massively overbooked. We were put off with the words that we should be patient for another 5 minutes. During this time the service was running around trying to encourage some guests who had already finished their food to leave... After 15 minutes of standing in a crowded restaurant, our patience was slowly running out. After further inquiries and another attempt by the waiter to get other guests to leave, we got a table after 20 minutes of waiting. We were lucky and got a bench on the edge with a backrest. There are tables that only have stools. The food came - the wrong dish was put on the table twice. Most of the service staff hardly speak any German, so it's difficult to ask questions. The food was good, but according to our taste there is definitely better Vietnamese food in the Bonn-Cologne area. The relatively close location to the Cinedom is practical, otherwise not necessarily something you would have to go to from another corner of Cologne in our opinion.

In my opinion, the 3 restaurants that now belong to NGong are the best in Cologne that offer traditional Vietnamese cuisine. Great delicious food, friendly staff and nice ambience! We always like to come here, whether on Maybachstr. Hohenstaufenring or Sudermanplatz you always feel like you are on a short vacation

The restaurant is popular with the locals and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. The food was nicely presented but the flavours were ok. We had the duck curry and the beef noodle salad for the main course and mango sticky rice for dessert. The duck curry was good, but the beef noodle salad had too much sauce at the bottom, making it too salty for me. It would have been better if the sauce was separate, so I can decide how much I wanted to add. As for the mango sticky rice, if you ever had it in Asia, you'll be disappointed with this one!

Visited spontaneously and was very happy with my choice. Super friendly service, the menu is small but there is something for everyone. My food came very quickly and was beautifully prepared. But it doesn't just have to look beautiful, it also has to taste good and it definitely has that. Would definitely come back.

We ate there with the team (6 people). The ambience is simple but quite inviting. The food was incredibly tasty and arrived at the table very quickly. Price-performance ratio for the main prices is more than fair, but for about 4 teaspoons of sticky rice with mango at just under €6 and a very long waiting time for it, there is unfortunately one star deducted. In addition, card payments are only possible from €30 onwards, which made some of us sweat a little because we had to borrow money from our colleagues. I'll still come back. I was there for food and it was great.

Delicious food, fair prices, simple ambience

Four of us were there during the week evening with a reservation, inside, on site. Unfortunately the place was very loud, but after one or two groups left it was bearable. Unfortunately the wooden benches are very narrow. If you have careless neighbors, you can get an elbow. Not very comfortable and not cozy. Unfortunately, the service was very hectic, the menu almost flew over the table when she was collecting it because she was so frantically reaching for the cards. As soon as you were finished with something, it was immediately collected, which I unfortunately found to be uncomfortable. We were told that the meat dishes (chicken curry and duck) were delicious, but the starter of beef skewers in lotus leaves was inedible and unseasoned. We had vegan bowls 55 and 57 with tofu. This was neither marinated nor well fried. Totally fluffy and super soft. The menu had herb mushrooms on it, you could clearly see and taste normal shitake and champions in it. Zucchini wasn't on the menu at all, with the 55 the carrots were totally soft, most of the vegetables were leeks and onions, hardly any dressing or sauce. The 57th sauce is just sweet, also fake mushrooms and raw carrots (saw the pan for about 1 minute). I also found the serving impractical, a bowl full to the brim with rice (far too little) and a bowl full to the brim with vegetables and sauce. Either eat it plain or eat it long enough for the rice to fit into the sauce bowl forkful at a time. Then there was dessert. We asked if the coconut balls were vegan, but at first they said no. Another colleague came and we asked what wasn't vegan about the dessert: the cream that wasn't listed. Then it was suggested to us that we get this dessert without cream. These were delicious, just very expensive for 3 mini balls. Baked banana with ice cream also OK according to the accompaniment. At the end we said that we didn't like the tofu and were very disappointed. Then they only advertised for the other store around the corner, "gnon gnon veggie" had better tofu quality, so it would taste better for vegetarians and vegans. Unfortunately I didn't find it recommendable in all respects. We rarely go out to eat and were really looking forward to the evening because we had only read good things so far. The price-performance ratio is simply not there. Especially when you advertise king oyster mushrooms on the menu and then find wobbly little champions in there. Or order a three-bite dessert for €6. We probably won't test gnon gnon veggie again after this evening.

My absolute favorite Vietnamese. The food is always good, the tempura shrimp is my favorite dish. It's all fresh and delicious. The prices are completely reasonable and are more in the middle to higher segment. Which is appropriate given this good quality. The service from my regular waitress Quynh is always excellent and to the point. All the ladies in service are always nice, friendly and very attentive. Big praise for the service, as well as the kitchen. I always like coming here, especially in summer it's nice to sit outside. Only the chairs, although perhaps in a more exotic style, could be a little more comfortable. Keep it up 👍🏽

I have no idea, but the food was a real scam for the price. It was really small and didn't even taste good. I don't know who came up with the idea of ​​wrapping the sticky mango rice in banana leaves, but it tasted like fish and it was only 3 spoonfuls. Not worth it for the price :(

Well that was a disappointing order. I had the Avocado salad with vegan tuna and spring rolls with chicken for a total of 18€. The salad was okay-ish as well as the vegan tuna, but the portion size definitely didn't meet the 12€ for it. Also 2 spring rolls, that were anything but tasty for 6€ was also overpriced in my opinion.

The service is very friendly and accommodating. The seating area is comfortable both inside and outside. My main course was a little underwhelming (not bad, just nothing special). The Mango Sticky Rice is small but the best I have ever tasted. The many vegan options are very positive. The vegan chicken was hardly distinguishable from real meat, the vegan duck was very close.

A really great shop with lots of delicious dishes, all of which are on the table in no time. There is a lot here for both vegetarians and vegans. The vegetarian(s), duck, shrimp, etc. have been impressively "vegetable translated" and look remarkably real. Worth a visit just for this culinary craft!

Vietnamese restaurant with many outdoor tables (we recommend booking anyway) frequented by local youth. Large selection of food, but unfortunately the menu is only in German and the staff tend to communicate in German. Another small problem is that they only accept cash payments (for us foreigners).
