NEXT Steak BEER Burger in Schwalmstadt

As soon as we ordered (9 people), the food was already there and - as always - delicious. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We'd love to come back!

We actually enjoy being with you, be it as a team, with business partners or even at customer appointments. The team and the food are always excellent. Normally, a contact option is provided when making the reservation so that you can be notified if something doesn't fit or if your wishes cannot be implemented. This in itself is very helpful and has not been a problem so far. Unfortunately this time it spoiled my evening and I couldn't enjoy the food at all. More than half ended up staying on the plate and went back to the kitchen.

The food itself was really good and definitely fills you up, but the concept really takes some getting used to. You order your food and drinks using a chip card at a bar where you have to queue. You take the drinks with you straight away and when the food is ready, a bell rings at the table, signaling that you can pick up the food. The “service” is like a snack bar, but the prices and the ambience are like in a restaurant. It also has to be said that it is extremely loud and there are no classic “soft drinks” either. Only Spezi, Limos or Mio Mio. The food itself was good, but also expensive. Personally, you find it pointless that you basically get ketchup with the fries but have to pay extra for mayo. The price-performance ratio is not worth it at all for me. You pay the same as in a restaurant but you don't get the same service - but for me it's part of the price/experience.

Excellent address, I highly recommend, it's been a long time since I ate such delicious meat 😋.

I have to run for every beer 😂 The food was served relatively quickly and was attractively presented. The quality and quantity were top 👍. The prices may seem high at first, but given the portion sizes, they are justified The weight information for the shrimp should be adjusted. We will definitely come back to try more dishes. Everyone should have eaten here at least once. The broccoli salad is particularly recommended. A vegetarian diet is also possible. Super friendly staff, chic atmosphere and after eating you can relax in the outdoor area (beach). Payment is made via card system. At the beginning you receive a card on which you can book food and drinks. When you leave, you show the card, pay what is recorded and leave. This saves time because you don't have to wait for the waiters. Good concept. PS: order the “NEXT dessert” as dessert. (if you like it sweet)

The people there are really unfriendly, the ice cream is a bad joke, it's just chocolate bars with ice cream and nothing more and you're just being taken for a ride and to top it all off, the shop is way too overpriced

Arrive at 9:15 p.m., she asks if we have a reservation (so she was still waiting for a reservation), we ask if we could do it without a reservation, she then said that we would only get drinks. Nice atmosphere, attentive and friendly service - ordering yourself goes great! But above all: I often say after a visit to a steakhouse that I get the steak better on the grill myself... here the meat is worth every cent, delicious to prepare, well seasoned and well cooked, great side dishes and sauces - reasonable prices round off the experience, delicious cocktails are on top! We'll be back!

Wir besuchen regelmäßig das „Next“, die Bedienungen sind immer sehr nett, das Essen ist immer sehr gut und es gibt keine langen Wartezeiten. Schön ist auch, dass es ein veganes Angebot gibt. Klare Empfehlung.

Enjoy your meal! What takes some getting used to is that it's basically self-service. But from the second visit it works 😉. The staff is very attentive and happy to help with carrying. A few dishes tailored to children would be desirable. That's why four stars instead of 5.

You can eat very well here. It is very tasty. Cocktails are highly recommended. The staff is also super friendly and very organized. The one star minus for the service because the food and drinks have to be fetched yourself and are not brought to the table. (Which I personally don't think is a bad thing, but it's part of good service) Wet wipes on the tables would be great so you can wipe your fingers. But these are really just small things. All in all, it is really highly recommended and very nice there. Great praise!

I had a T-bone steak which wasn't cheap either, it was totally twisted/scarred where even the knives failed. I think quality for the money looks different.

We have been here several times now and have never been disappointed. Burgers, meat...everything was very tasty. Cocktails also taste good, but some could be presented a little nicer. E.g. nicer glasses, more decoration. Some look like a soda in a regular soda glass. Service staff were consistently friendly. I think self-service is fine...but that's no reason not to come here. If you sit at the table in front of the food counter, you can't have a comfortable meal because people are constantly walking around you getting their food. That's very disturbing. But we'd love to come back.

I recently visited NEXT and was very impressed with the entire experience. The ambience is cozy and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or family. The decoration is stylish and the lighting creates a warm atmosphere. The highlight of the evening was definitely the steak. The selection of steaks was impressive, from tender filet mignon to juicy ribeyes. I chose the ribeye, which was fried to perfection - nicely seared on the outside and wonderfully tender and juicy on the inside. The meat quality was excellent which brought out the flavor even more. There was also a selection of tasty sauces and side dishes.

I always enjoyed eating a burger here, but now the prices are so exorbitant that I don't want to pay that anymore. The smash burger cost 12 euros in July 2022, 14.50 euros in July 2023 and now costs 16 euros in July 2024. A 0.5 liter bottle of Radler costs just 5 euros, while a box with 20 bottles of the same brand costs 10.99 euros in a beverage store. What is justifying this? Guys, think about it, who else wants to pay that...? However, I would like to note that it was always delicious and the staff was always friendly. Nevertheless, another visit is out of the question for me. What a pity...

Absolutely fantastic restaurant! The food is absolutely amazing! Everything is freshly prepared, well seasoned and there is no long wait. The homemade sauces and dips are my highlights. Many thanks to the absolutely friendly staff and the attentive boss. Here you can feel completely comfortable. Personally, I think the principle of self-service is really good. The selection of drinks is large and very good. If you're thirsty, you get something. Another dessert? At any time. For guests who are not good on foot, food will of course also be brought. Prices are also reasonable for what is on offer. Also worth mentioning are the ample free parking spaces and the winter garden. Super cozy! Dogs are also welcome. Of course great for us. We'd love to come more often! :-)

Die Platzvergabe war leider etwas chaotisch, final haben wir einen schönen Platz im Wintergarten zugewiesen bekommen. Bestellung am Tresen mit Selbstbedienung, Abgeräumt wird durch die zahlreichen servicekräfte. Das Essen war schnell zubereitet und hat gut geschmeckt. Die Preise sind moderat.

A great steakhouse with really tasty meat. The meat was exactly as ordered and the portions are very large so that you definitely come home full. Eating out is fun and the price is more than fair. Of course it's something new that you get a card to book at the entrance, then you choose the food at the table and then order it at the counter. At the table you will be informed when the food is ready and you will pick it up yourself. We think the idea is great and we're totally committed to it. Wenn man nicht unbedingt nur am Tisch bedient werden möchte, ist dies eine super Empfehlung für jeden Fleischesser. Aber auch jeder Vegetarier findet hier etwas leckeres zu Essen. Overall, really recommended! The staff was really super friendly and motivated. The restaurant itself is very modern and otherwise corresponds to the typical style of a steak and burger restaurant as you would expect. In addition, everything was very clean and well maintained. The large selection of drinks was very positive. Definitely something for everyone and you can also relax and have a few cocktails or various beers there. Friendly ! The burgers were very tasty and really big for the price. I can definitely recommend it. The fried wings were very crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside but unfortunately hardly or not seasoned at all. Either the colleague from the kitchen forgot it or it was intentional. There is definitely more possible, but the dip still worked out quite well. A little tip: If you offer finger food, among other things, you could also serve wet wipes in addition to the normal napkins. I heard they come individually and pre-packaged. The other side dishes were good. Nothing outstanding either but they are just side dishes. Absolutely okay. I found the disposable/plastic bowls where the dips were in a shame. You have such beautiful plates and you put so much effort into setting them up. That doesn't have to be the case. The concept in general… yeah, what can I say. I'm not really into picking it up, but it's implemented quite well. A little tip: If you don't bring food or drinks to the table, then please don't pick up the empty plates and glasses either. That doesn't make any sense at all. If you have staff who can clear away, you can also bring food and drinks to the table. Otherwise, provide something where people can leave their stuff after eating. A or B but mixed, the concept doesn't make sense. Not for you and not for the guest either. Conclusion: All in all, very, very good and we can recommend it. I'll be back ! Whether you like it or not ! Next time the steaks will be tested.

We were there with two people and we ordered the short ribs, which were absolutely excellent, as well as the burger and the cocktail we ordered. An absolute recommendation goes out, we really liked it and we will definitely come back! The service was totally friendly and very attentive from start to finish. Slightly different restaurant concept with ordering at the counter and picking up the food at the counter, but you don't feel like you're at a rest stop because of the attentive service staff. Food is great, tasty and a good selection. Lots of different bottled beers from home and abroad, something like that is rare. All in all, an unusual, good restaurant experience. I went to Next for the first time because of various positive experiences from my environment. The concept was strange at first because I had never encountered anything like it in a restaurant before. But the conclusion is sensational! The selection of drinks is huge and, thanks to self-service, you don't have to wait for service if your glass is empty, but you can replenish it yourself. The food was super tasty. The selection here is also very extensive and the price is absolutely right. The meat is of great quality, cooked on point as ordered and the presentation on the wooden board is not only a feast for the palate but also for the eyes. The service staff was super nice at reception, at the counter and also in the operation at the terminal. The chefs really have their craft down pat and I will definitely come back. However: you have to order food at the counter, food is not brought to the table - you have to get it yourself. Personally, I don't think it's that great and it somehow reminds me of a fast food chain. Otherwise really great!!

Questionable concept The steakhouse makes a good and clean first impression, somewhat inconspicuous from the outside, typically American on the inside. At the entrance you are given a card on which all food and drinks are recorded, the self-service concept is bumpy, you take the drinks yourself from a large cooler, but these have to be booked onto the card by the staff, just like when ordering Food is chosen using a card at the table, then you walk with the “check card” to the counter where the food is served, where you then have to order again from the staff, the beeper at the table informs you that a meal is ready to be picked up. With a larger group, everyone often runs to the serving table, but only the food for one or two people is ready... sometimes you are served by the staff despite the self-service concept, but in general there is always unrest in the restaurant because people order/pick up drinks or food. The food is served in generous portions and tastes really good, but the price is a bit higher than usual for the region. All in all, a nice evening, even if the concept behind it didn't appeal to me

We were there for the second time yesterday and will be back. The food and service are great! I ordered something wrong the first time and it was remade without any ifs and buts and no additional charge was made. I'm sure it wouldn't have been so easy in another restaurant. Above all, I was incredibly embarrassed, but no one really made any secret of it. The food is served quickly and the selection of food and drinks is varied. Only the dessert situation feels to me like it was bought rather than homemade. But maybe that's just a matter of taste. There is a star deduction for the ambience. The self-service concept is kind of cool, but I find it uncomfortable at times when crowds of people keep running through the bar. All in all, a great shop that did a lot of things right. We will be back!

Wir waren Silvester zu dritt essen, drei verschiedene Fleischsorten, alles auf den Punkt gegart.Drei verschiedene Gerichte bestellt, alles gleichzeitig auf dem Tisch, perfekt. Geschmack hervorragend ! Wir hatten reserviert alles perfekt ! Supernettes Personal, tolles Ambiente , einfach eine Super Location ! Immer gerne wieder!

Meine Frau hat hier schon mit Freundinnen gegessen und war begeistert. Nun haben wir zum ersten mal bestellt, zum mitnehmen. Das Essen war innerhalb von wenigen Minuten fertig, die Portionen sind sehr groß und vor allem: es schmeckt super gut! Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Wir werden in den nächsten Tagen mal mit der ganzen Family hier essen gehen, und freuen uns schon drauf. Schön, dass es ein solches Lokal in Ziegenhain gibt!

Stimmige angenehme Atmosphäre, Speisen und Getränke super lecker und sehr freundliches Personal. Selten so gut gegessen, das Fleisch war lecker und saftig, sehr gut zubereitet! Auch die Selbstbedienung ist übersichtlich und ist selbsterklärend. Sofort immer wieder und klare Empfehlung.
