News Cafe in Bad Hersfeld

The food came quickly and tasted delicious. The volume level was very loud so you could hardly hear the music. The service was fine except that we could only pay by card and we were informed that unfortunately you could only give a tip in cash. But since we only had a card with us, that didn't work. Afterwards the waitress was very unfriendly and grimaced and there was no more goodbye. Very unfortunate.

Lots of delicious vegetarian dishes on the menu. In summer you can sit outside wonderfully. In the autumn and winter months it is also very attractive and cozy inside. Great location.

Always worth a visit. Always friendly service staff. The food is always tasty and hot and arrives quickly. Only mini criticism. It would be nice if the drinks came at the same time. The wine usually comes a few minutes later and the beer comes a few minutes later. Decent price-performance ratio. We'd love to come back :-)

An hour wait for four cocktails. How does something like that work? 9:15 p.m. arrival 9:30 p.m. Service brings cards 9:45 p.m. takes order. Got cocktails at 10:15 p.m. After 9 p.m. there aren't even nachos or anything. So every time I'm disappointed there. I think the store is really overrated. The location is good. That's it.

I only ate one soup, which was very tasty, my friend had the chili con carne, it was too much meat for him, that's the only criticism. But if you like that, you'll get your money's worth here.

Delicious fresh salads before visiting the festival, very busy and friendly service. Officially only open until 11 p.m. during the week, but after visiting the festival we were able to end the evening until midnight. A thank you to the team (visit on 8/13/24). We'd love to come back

The most important thing: The service was TOP, in the humid heat of 36 degrees the girls were very, very friendly and quick🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽 Also a thank you to the kitchen: we really enjoyed our food 😋😎 and filled us up 🙏 🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

We went for dinner with around 30 people on the occasion of a birthday. There was a small menu with a selection for meat lovers and vegetarians. Perfect: almost everyone got their food at the same time and it was good and hot. Not so good: the coffee later could have been put on the table in pots. Nevertheless, highly recommended.

Went there for cocktails with a friend. My Caipirinha was OK but both of them didn't taste like alcohol and one was a Long Island Ice Tea which has a lot of alcohol. When we pointed this out to the waitress, she said that they were made exactly according to the recipe and that couldn't be right. I think this is really bad customer treatment. And it was the last time I was in the news. Although I always enjoyed being there. And that where I paid €30. I think it's really cheeky, but unfortunately that's to be expected with unskilled workers. L

We had 2 schnitzel dishes here. Fried potatoes were still raw and not seasoned. Schnitzel had no taste, extremely greasy and prepared in the deep fryer. Service friendly Won't be coming back.

We were there when it was raining heavily. The service staff were very brave because they had to serve without rain protection. As the owner, you should really think about whether you should dress the service staff in rain protection.

Unfortunately we didn't eat there, so we wouldn't have been so disappointed. Nevertheless, we went there three times a day and even late in the evening after the night performance we received friendly and good service. We will definitely eat there the next time we visit the festival. If you like my comment then please give me a 👍 (thumbs up) like!!

Seit vielen Jahren ein guter Platz mit guter Atmosphäre zum Verweilen, für nice Speisen und Drinks... Kaffee, Tee und Süßes passen auch.

The waitress only became aware of us after a very long time. After ordering, a very long time passed before the waiter came back and took our order again. After about 30 minutes of waiting we got our stale beer.

The News Cafe is right on the market square and in a large parking lot. The menu selection is very good and so is the food. The service is arranged, friendly and always tries to ensure that the guest doesn't miss anything. You can look out from anywhere in the guest rooms. Therefore there is a lot of light for the dark dining room. Men and women feel very comfortable in the News Cafe

The food was good and plentiful, and the price was great! The service was very friendly. I would go there again at any time. I don't care about the ambience, the plate and the price count, the toilets are very clean. You don't need anything more.

I've been there for several years now, and all in all rather disappointed. I had a salad with fried strips of bacon and croutons, which tasted and looked okay... my companion had a cream schnitzel that we didn't think was a schnitzel very thin, but 2 pieces, tasted like a finished product, as did the cream sauce, which tasted more like a poorly mixed gravy, everything was quite salty, and carelessly slapped onto a plate, no decoration, or anything easy on the eyes... unfortunately The overall picture seemed very incompetently put together. The service staff were numerous, but somehow listless and somewhat friendly...the level of attention also left a lot to be desired.

Really great facility but I have to say, the orange juice has seen better days. I don't know what was definitely not tasty! The crepe was too expensive and too dense. Fries good but not enough for the price. All in all great facility nothing behind it!

We've eaten there many times. Always delicious. We've never come home disappointed. Big compliments to the whole team.

The stay there is comfortable, the café is very nicely decorated, the service is very friendly, the food is very good, they have a good selection of drinks and dishes.

The service was attentive, but the chairs were put up at 8:50 p.m. even though we were still sitting at the table with drinks, ordering something and having a good time. Considering that the restaurant is still full and open until 11 p.m., I find this an absolute disgrace! Such a thing is not appropriate under any circumstances! It's almost like being thrown out. Went there as a couple and thought it would be a good place to stop off. Food and drinks were ok, can't object to that.

Nice restaurant with a decent selection of food and drinks. On New Year's Eve it was still possible to spontaneously get a place for three people without a reservation. The service was no longer on our radar for about 20 minutes, but given how busy it was at that time, that could be forgiven.

Today I spent my mother's 80th birthday with 9 guests for lunch/coffee at News. Super nice, fast service. Everyone enjoyed the food. Thank you for the successful afternoon.

Lekker eten, niet duur. Heel gezellige sfeer en goed personeel. Het restaurant zat helemaal vol en toch was het personeel heel vriendelijk en namen ze de tijd voor ons.

Nach der Renovierung alles passend. Sehr freundliches, fixes Personal, leckere Mahlzeiten zu angemessenen Preisen.

Ambiente schön Weihnachtlich, essen richtig gut, schmeckt und ist perfekt abgestimmt. Danke schon mal dafür. Mitarbeiter/innen sind nett und freundlich. Echt Top. Weiter so, allerdings empfehle ich kein heiße Schokolade.

Sehr schönes Café in dem es auch richtiges Essen gibt. Bedienung ist super und die Preise sind ok.

Auch für Kurzentschlossene gibt's doch noch ein Plätzchen, freundliche Bedienung, lecker Essen, für die Soße gibt es einen kleinen Abzug. Große Portionen vielleicht sollte man Seniorenportionen anbieten.

Das 1.Mal da gewesen und nicht zum letzten Mal. Kann man wirklich empfehlen.

Flammkuchen war ne 7/10, jedoch ist das mit den Uhrzeiten in denen man essen kann während den Öffnungszeiten super schwachsinnig gemacht. Schickes Restaurant jedoch sehr dunkel und die Lampen voller Spinnweben. Essen kam relativ schnell, dafür haben die Getränke lang gedauert. Bedienung ist Mega genervt gewesen, hat aber auf nett gemacht.

Jedesmal ein Muss wenn wir in Bad Hersfeld sind. Wir fühlen uns in dem außergewöhnlichen Lokal sehr wohl. Eine große Auswahl an Speisen und Getränken. Das Essen ist gut. Das Personal sehr gut.

Essen ist lecker. Leider muss man lange auf das Essen warten, auch wenn nicht viel Betrieb ist. Der Service ist ok. Könnte manchmal etwas aufmerksamer sein. Drei gute Sterne!

Als Badener kenne und schätze ich guten Flammkuchen.Hier habe ich den besten meines (bisherigen) Lebens gegessen.Extrem gut, grosses Lob an die Küche ! Ambiente war sehr schön, siw Bedienung sehr freundlich - ein rundum sehr gutes Erlebnis

Das Essen ist sonst immer top und sehr zu empfehlen, nur diesmal hab ich wohl das falsche bestellt. Die grüne Soße war arg flüssig und etwas säuerlich. 1 halbes Ei gab es dazu und 5 wässrige halbe Kartoffeln. Sehr schade....immerhin wars nicht teuer für 7.90€ Demnächst ess ich dann lieber wieder schnitzel die sind so super dort. Extrem zu empfehlen. Bedienungen waren nett und flott!

Hatte Schnitzel gehabt. Hatte mir gut geschmeckt. Leider hatte man die Bestellkarte verändert. Und es gibt auch kein Tagesangebot mehr, welches ich in Vergangenheit gern bestellt hatte.

Habe bisher noch nicht dort gegessen. Aber es gefällt mir sehr gut dort. Personal ist sehr freundlich. Ich komme gerne wieder.

So ein gemütlicher irischer Pub! Ein tolles vegetarisches Menü und eine gemütliche Atmosphäre. Da fühle ich mich wohl.

Das News Cafe ist eine sehr gute Anlaufstelle in Bad Hersfeld. Das Publikum geht von Jung bis zum Senior. Die Karte ist der abwechslungsreich und biete für jeden was. Ich war begeistert von den Kartoffelpuffer mit Gemüse. Auch das Sellerie Schnitzel war sehr lecker. Hingegen war der Burger etwas langweilig, sehr durchgebraten. Das Personal war immer sehr nett und zuvorkommend.

Ich mag das News eigentlich, ich finde das Essen sehr gut, Preis-Leistung stimmt auch noch. Aber was garnicht geht sind arrogante, unfreundliche und absolut unflexible Bedienungen. Ja es ist immer viel los, es sei euch gegönnt, ja es ist schwierig gescheites Personal zu finden, ich habe für alles Verständnis. Aber nicht für die scheinbar aktuell vorherrschende Einstellung „ach wenn die paar Leute jetzt eben abhauen“ weil-> wir uns u.a. gerade null Mühe geben wollen mit Kunden respektvoll und vernünftig zu reden auch wenn nur eine Frage nach einem reserviertem Tisch gestellt werden möchte und alle Bediensteten mit hoher Nase vor einem abhauen, bzw. Probleme auftauchen die man im „vernünftigen Ton“ klären könnte aber von vornherein komplett unprofessionell und absolut frech mit dem Kunden kommuniziert wird… Sorry, sehr sehr schwach von euch. Man hoffe mal, dass es so weiter läuft und ihr genug Kohle scheffeln könnt, bei so einem unmöglichen Umgang mit eigentlich gerne zahlenden Kunden sollte man jedoch irgendwann etwas vorsichtiger werden. Wir für unseren Teil waren heute das letzte Mal dort. Und ich werde auch jedem anderen davon abraten dieses Lokal zu besuchen. Denn eins steht auch fest, das war nicht das erste Mal, dass das Personal unmöglich aufgetreten ist.

Achtung: Angeblich wegen Corona gibt es keine Kinderstühle! Das wurde uns bei der Reservierung, wo wir diesen ausdrücklich bestellt hatten nicht mitgeteilt. Interessanterweise gibt es diese in anderen Restaurants in der unmittelbaren Umgebung. Das Essen war ok. Preis/Leistung bei einem Schnitzel für knappe 10,-€ wie erwartet. (Schnitzeltag)
