New Orleans in Herford

The ambience and decor were cozy and inviting and the music was subtle and not too loud. A relaxed conversation was therefore possible without any problems. The food itself was actually quite tasty, but unfortunately too expensive! It wasn't that good either. We had to wait a long time for the drinks and the dessert also seemed to be extremely time-consuming. Even though the restaurant was very empty on a Wednesday afternoon. The fruit that was then served with the ice cream tasted like onions and kohlrabi and the grapes had also seen better days. All in all: you can do it, but you don't have to. You can definitely find better and cheaper restaurants.

UPDATE AFTER MOVE The New Orleans 2.0 is located at the former Saturn, and unfortunately not many Herford residents wander into this corner of the pedestrian zone anymore... And from the outside it doesn't look like a stylish pseudo-chic bar, which automatically attracts a certain clientele. So here's a review so you know whether it might be worth it for you to stop by there. The owner is still very warm and personable and the new chef is really good. Everyone is nice, natural and friendly without any pretense. That's why you feel like you see all the regular customers from the "old" New Orleans there again and again. The relaxed atmosphere has remained, no showmanship, no hassle, no riffraff, just normal people of all ages who want to spend a relaxed evening with good food. By the way, the prices are also completely reasonable. The menu has changed slightly but the burgers are still great. But everything else tastes great, is fresh and sufficiently portioned. I recently tried Penne Gorgonzola (just to finally NOT have a burger) and it was really tasty. Overall, I never ate anything that wasn't good in either 1.0 or 2.0. There's definitely a lot here for down-to-earth eaters and I'm sure special requests will also be catered for. If you stop there in the future: Leave me a burger left 😂

It's nice to stand in front of closed doors if you like it. Isn't the store supposed to have been open for 6 weeks?

The food looked extremely rancid and tasted accordingly. We couldn't eat the food despite being hungry. It has absolutely nothing to do with American style. The hot wings were just ordinary wings with a bland sweet and sour sauce. I've never written a review because of bad food, but people should be warned about this food. Unfortunately everything ended up in the trash and we had to order again somewhere else. We're avoiding the store from today...

I ordered my food from Lieferando around 6:30 p.m. This order was confirmed for 7:50 p.m. Unfortunately, the food didn't arrive until now (8:30 p.m.). There is also no response to phone calls. I will not order again and would recommend this to others.

We had food delivered. Unfortunately totally failed... limp fries and barely seasoned, the fried food is not properly fried. Meat like chewing gum and sometimes just dry. Delivery time was extremely long. It's a shame because we really enjoyed the food in the restaurant. However, the ambience leaves a lot to be desired.

After waiting for almost 2 hours, which can happen, the driver tells you that you should order somewhere else because it wouldn't be worth it, the distance would be too far and half of that would just be fuel costs?? Then you should change your settings at Lieferando and not make me wait for 2 hours because I was probably waiting for someone who ordered from near me? It would be a 10 minute drive from you to me. Next time I should order for 30 euros, I was told it's worth more. Was that why the baguette pieces from yesterday were as dry as these were? The wrong drink was brought, no apology or anything, I was told on several points not to order from you anymore, which I'm happy to do given the quality. And entering the house without asking and pushing the customer away from the door is also outrageous.

Good food and friendly service. The cocktails are also very good. Great value for money. A visit here is highly recommended!

First class! The store has a great atmosphere and the service is extremely friendly and attentive. The food was mashallah and fresh. I particularly noticed a young man who, as far as I know, is called Cavin and who worked as well as he could. Absolute recommendation!

Das Essen war sehr lecker und die Cocktails waren ebenfalls sehr gut. Super Preise! Ein Stern Abzug gibt es, weil es trotz geringer Auslastung (3-4 Tische) jedes mal sehr lange gedauert hat, bis wir bedient wurden. Als die Getränke leer waren wurde auch nicht mehr nach neuen gefragt. Das war schade.

Auch nicht mehr das was es mal war das essen und die cocktails schmecken trotzdem aber das Ambiente an sich ist nicht gemütlich Service hat sehr lange gedauert

Optisch ist es ok, obere Etage sieht aber sehr unordentlich aus. Essen und Getränke in einem guten Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Bedienung war alleine, aber es war leer, also hat es geklappt. Hygiene hat noch Luft nach oben, daher nur 4 Sterne. Für einen netten Abend aber vollkommen ausreichend.

Coole location mit gutem Essen und freundlicher Bedienung. 2 Etagen offen gestaltet. Ab und zu tolle rockige Livemusik. Immer empfehlenswert.

Ein wirklich sehr guter Laden. Nur zu empfehlen. Bin regelmäßig mit meinen Kollegen hier. Das Essen kann man sich auf jeden Fall gönnen. Die Bedienung ist hervorragend, nett und zuverlässig. Aber die Cocktails, die sind wirklich nasty. Die kann man sich so wegzischen!

Ansich super leckere Cocktails und essen aber es dauert immer ewig bis einer mal zum Tisch kommt und dann die cocktails fertig sind und das bei 3 besetzten Tischen.

Hallo, hier kann man am Wochenende mal gut mit ein paar Freunden hin.

Essen und Getränke super. Aber manche Bestellungen brauchen etwas bis sie den Weg zum Tisch antreten, das sollte man mit einplanen.

Haben über 1std.auf 2 lächerliche Burger gewartet... Traurig Dann wird mir gesagt, dass nur 1 Koch da ist, es dauert noch etwas... Also wenn man doch weiß, dass am WE mehr Leute kommen, dann sollte man auch etwas mehr Personal organisieren

Toll geeignet um sich mit Freuden zu treffen den ein oder anderen Cocktail zu trinken und eine Kleinigkeit zu Essen.
