I recently celebrated my birthday at this wonderful location and it was just perfect! The initial advice, the service, the food, the drinks and the ambience were all first class and professional. The innkeeper and his team really went above and beyond to ensure we had an unforgettable celebration. The value for money is unbeatable, the ambience is incredible and inviting, and both the drinks and food were of the highest quality. A culinary delight and the service was very attentive. I can only warmly recommend the Burgschänke. It is definitely a top address in Landshut. Thank you for an unforgettable birthday!

Very nice to sit and a fantastic view, we had fantastically sunny weather. The service is very attentive and friendly and even gave our dog a water bowl. The food was very good and really nicely presented. We will be back definitely.

The Burgschänke has a somewhat gloomy atmosphere, although the terrace should be very nice in dry weather. Our cake was good, but not outstanding. The food at the next table looked more like it was deep-fried than freshly prepared. The staff was friendly, but seemed a bit overwhelmed. It's better to walk up to the castle, there aren't too many parking spaces.

Landshut is always worth a visit. I was at the castle for the first time today. The Burgschänke is a great restaurant. There are seating options both inside and outside in the guest garden. There are also other seating options with sun chairs and the like. but with self-service. The staff were without exception very friendly. Beautiful, cozy guest garden with a great view of Landshut. The menu surprised us so much that we decided to eat something (actually we just wanted to stay for a coffee). The meat patties with mashed potatoes and the cheese dumplings came quickly and were nice to look at. AND WE WERE GREAT!!! I didn't think the prices were bad at all. I would come back at any time!!!

Celebrated our wedding there with ~40 people. The portions were sometimes different sizes (20-30% for fried fish, for example) For my father, who has a gastric tube, they conjured up a special dish that wasn't on the menu - it was simply great. The waitress who was responsible for the mass of people did a top job. Our cake was stored there in a refrigerator and the agreed schedule was well adhered to

Big praise to the kitchen and especially to the very friendly, courteous, attentive service staff. You feel welcome here from the first second. Special requests from little guests are met with a smile. None of this is self-evident, as this restaurant could survive on its unique location alone 😅 The view speaks for itself, a unique atmosphere. Recommendation - it's best to reserve in advance.

Great location and beautiful view over Landshut. Had the crusty roast and the Wiener Schnitzel with potato salad. When the food came, we ordered the Kaiserschmarrn at the same time. According to the menu it takes about 30 minutes. After almost 60 minutes we asked the waiter what was wrong with our Kaiserschmarrn and were then rudely told that it hadn't been an hour and that he was asking in the kitchen. Shortly afterwards our Kaiserschmarrn arrived. Were disappointed, Kaiserschmarrn was still half raw and more scrambled eggs than Kaiserschmarrn. We showed the Kaiserschmarrn to another waiter, he was disappointed and immediately apologized and bought us a coffee on the house. Despite this experience, we would be happy to come back and recommend the Burgschenke...

Location with no feel-good character. When we wanted to go into the restaurant, someone at the bar pointed to the side and said to stop here - it felt like a dog. After 5 minutes when the waiter was finished with the phone call, he let us onto the terrace where someone else assigned us a table. The terrace was 50% empty and very little was reserved. After playing very loud, bass-heavy music on the terrace, we left. This means I can't judge the food. Maybe we were just unlucky, but since it happened in a similar way twice, there won't be any more attempts for us.

Super friendly staff, fast service. Great view over Landshut with wonderful sunshine today and 20 degrees. Aperol Spritz was also great and the fries 🍟 were quite expensive but very tasty 😋.

Exceptionally delicious Schlutzkrapfen and Kaspressknödel. Courteous but unobtrusive service. Unfortunately there is no more room for Kaiserschmarrn 😉

Great food with excellent service and an impressive ambience and view from the old town of Landshut

Very nice. Were visiting Landshut on a sunny Sunday in March and decided to have lunch at the Burgschänke. The service was very friendly and professional. The food was excellent and portioned correctly. I highly recommend the schnitzel with fries. Very tender with a fresh breadcrumb coating and perfectly toasted in butter. Of course, you can also enjoy the beautiful view of Landshut. The beer tastes even better. I can highly recommend this restaurant and would love to come back!

We would have liked to have eaten in the Burgschenke after a wonderful excursion to Trausnitz Castle. Unfortunately, the last two remaining tables on the terrace and the last two remaining tables in the main room were reserved for the same people, and the second table would not have arrived until an hour and a half later. When I asked if we could sit down in the meantime, I was told that wasn't possible. We were offered an unattractive table in the corner of the next room. Then we left again. A pity. The castle is definitely worth a trip, even on Sunday.

Great restaurant in historic walls. Mixed starters shared at the table - all very good. Plus bread very fresh and airy - a dream. My main course was the beef roulade on mashed potatoes with oven-roasted vegetables. Great - almost like at home 😊👌 Dessert was the Kaiserschmarrn - also good, but I've actually had even better. All in all, really HIGHLY recommended. Service was good - we had to ask for wine twice. We will be back ! 😊

The first time at Trausnitz Castle, in the castle tavern, we sat on one of the outdoor terraces and were able to watch the wonderful sunset while eating the very tasty greaves. Nice and friendly service, a rustic indoor ambience, and also the view from the second terrace rounded off the beginning of the evening. We will definitely come back again.

The food was good so far, but in our opinion it wasn't worth the price. The atmosphere was quite nice, but it was very cold because the door was constantly open by the staff. When I asked at the next table whether the door could be closed, the answer was no because the employees also had to go out. As a result, we also froze due to the train that was created. After we had already been treated unfriendly by the service staff (see below), we no longer felt like asking whether the door could be closed The service staff was moderately friendly; when asked about the ingredients of the Vegan Tyrolean Gröstel, the answer was slightly flippant and that "everything was vegan." Note: Perhaps a corresponding note for “Bacon” with “Vegan Bacon Alternative” and a note for “Egg” would be an option? We found it rather inappropriate to respond snippily to a query by saying “that’s often asked.” If this often leads to irritation, it would be an idea to change the menu as mentioned above. Unfortunately, even today you still have to ask carefully whether the dish is really vegan, especially if the menu says it contains “egg” and “bacon”. As a person who values ​​something like this, I don't think it's okay to receive a snippy answer. We have now tried the restaurant and will not be coming back. Based on my experiences, I will not recommend it.

We ate here for the first time today, but definitely not the last time. The food was incredibly good. We are sitting in the dining room with a mix of rustic castle elements and stylish accents. The staff is friendly and the dishes are obviously freshly made, you can see and taste it. Absolute recommendation. In summer, of course, outside on the terrace with a great view over Lanshut. Great. By the way, the beetroot carpacchio, the short rib, cheese dumplings and the Kaiserschmarrn are great.

We ate a Kaiserschmarrn with stewed plums and vanilla ice cream. Extremely tasty and beautifully decorated. We also liked the ambience and the service. We'll come back hungry next time :)

The food is not cheap but definitely recommended! The menu is kept small and there is a seasonal and regional menu, which I think is very good, they really put some thought into it! Unfortunately, the selection of vegetarian dishes is small, and as a vegan you are pretty much completely lost. The plus point in summer is of course the view from the terrace, which is unbeatable and I regularly bring visitors from out of town here and they are always thrilled. The service is mixed, currently good again, but there was a time when it seemed very chaotic and the staff was unfriendly.

We went on a trip and stopped to eat there. Unfortunately, the first dish we received was very hard and tough pork. So we asked the staff to take it back and cut it for us. But the staff changed a new plate for us.

Wir waren hier auf einer Geburtstagsfeier, geschlossene Gesellschaft, super Service, fantastisches Essen, so wunderschön gedeckt, dekoriert! Der Kaiserschmarrn war ein Gedicht, der Lachstartar auf Wasabi mit diesem Sylter Brot, die getrüffelte Kartoffelcremesuppe waren sooo lecker! War ein unglaublich schöner Abend!!!

Der ideale Abschluss einer Burgbesichtigung

Ich habe schon lange keinen so leckeren Kaiserschmarrn mehr gegessen! Die Portion war sehr üppig. Der Kellner war überaus freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt!

Durch Zufall von der Besichtigung der Burg, sind wir auf die Burg Schaenke gestoßen...haben überlegt ob wir Kuchen und Kaffee trinken, oder gleich eine Warme Mahlzeit zu uns nehmen. Haben uns für die Warme Mahlzeit entschieden. Hatten dann gerade so um 15:30Uhr einen Platz für 2 Personen bekommen. Das Essen war hervorragend und kommen gerne wieder. Die Preise sind sehr überschaubar und gut, nicht übertrieben teuer.

Very nice restaurant in the castle. The food was very good, we had Schweinebraten and Schnitzel. The Schweinebraten was delicious, this coming from someone who doesn't like german food. This was the first time when I liked it. The service was fast and the prices fair.

Sehr schön gelegen und alternativlos wenn man die Burg besucht und etwas Essen möchte. Es gibt 2 Terassen mit umwerfendem Ausblick. Leider war bei unserem Besuch letztens die schönere und besser beschattete Terrasse nachmittags wegen „Personalmangels“ geschlossen. Ich habe einfach nicht verstanden warum ich mich in die direkte Sonne setzen musste obwohl an anderer Stelle alles perfekt gewesen wäre. Es waren auch nur drei andere Tische belegt, also war gerade auch garantiert keiner überlastet.

Byliśmy rodzinnie na kawie. Miła ,pomocna i szybka obsługa. Klimatyczne miejsce z gustownym umeblowaniem. Polecam.

Wunderschöne Burg, toller Ausblick auf Landshut. Dazu sehr gutes Essen und ein mega freundlicher, kompetenter Kellner. Er denkt auch immer an frisches Wasser für meinen Hund. Komme gerne wieder.

Waren "nur" zu Kaffe und Kuchen aber werden definitiv auch Mal zum Abendessen kommen. Der Kuchen war super und über die Aussicht braucht man wohl nichts mehr zu Sachen 😍

Beim Besuch der Burg Trausnitz kamen wir zufällig auf der Terrasse des Restaurants an. Begeistert von der Aussicht, machten wir hier eine kleine Pause und bestellten sehr leckeren Kaffee und Kuchen. Die Speisen waren schön angerichtet und wirklich sehr schmackhaft. Der Service war sehr freundlich, aufmerksam und schnell. Wir kommen sicher wieder.

Die Neue Burgschaenke ist unser neues Lieblingsrestaurant! Sehr freundlich und professionell, tolles Essen, sieht sehr gut aus und schmeckt auch hervorragend! Absolutely amazing experience! We were fortunate to have a group dinner here when visiting on business. We had a fabulous time and the food, service, and atmosphere could not have been better. I highly recommend visiting if you are able!!

Ein schöner Blick über Landshut, besonders angenehm im Sommer auf der Terrasse. Beim Zwiebelrostbraten wäre es schön gewesen wenn die Zwiebeln frisch abgeschmolzen gewesen wären statt Industrieröstzwiebeln.

Immer wieder einen Besuch wert bei einem Ausflug zur Burg Trausnitz, schöner Ausblick mit großer Terrasse im Sommer, freundlicher & aufmerksamer Service, z. B. leckere Salate mit Backhendl oder Fisch. Reservierung wird empfohlen.
