Nepal Haus in München

We visited this Nepalese restaurant purely by chance and were very impressed. We particularly appreciated the very friendly service, who helped us choose our food and accommodated our special requests. We had the Bhuteku menu and the momo noodles. The former offered a truly diverse insight into Nepalese cuisine, seemed very authentic to us overall, and was well-seasoned. The latter also applies to the momo noodles, with the dip being a particular highlight. The ambiance feels authentic, perhaps a bit austere, and the prices were a bit too high. But this is certainly a general problem in Munich :)

Very friendly staff and the food was very nice. They served a special mix, so we could try everything! Very nice from them. The momos were delicious and the fried noodles as well. It’s a small restaurant but good for a normal dinner (not super fancy).

I think the momo dumplings taste great. Despite their similarities to East Asian and Indian cuisine, they retain their own unique flair. I highly recommend them and would buy them again and again 👍 The sauce here was also perfect! However, I think €15.90 for 8 dumplings (even though they are relatively large) is a bit pricey. Nevertheless, this restaurant deserves 5 stars for its deliciousness ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Absolutely loved this place! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Food was good as expected But they do not accept card which is a problem these days

Three of us went to dinner at the Nepal House. We were lucky to get a table; it's better to make a reservation. The food was absolutely delicious! We shared the vegetarian momos for starters, followed by two Nepal House specials and a chicken dish. The only downside is that the portions are rather small and the dishes are a bit expensive. Trying the Nepalese beers was also very interesting; we enjoyed them as well. The service was extremely friendly and quick.

An average restaurant close to odeonsplatz. A few veg options only. Especially in main courses - expected more here. Same with the portions, they were not too big for the price. Taste was alright - more European than authentic. Nothing special but also not too bad. It was however annoying that they said it was cash only at the end and not before. Food also came out pretty late. Recommend once to try. But won't be a regular here.

The Nepalhaus is highly recommended, the food is delicious, I can only recommend the dumplings! You can order spicy or not spicy. The service is very nice, when the weather is good you can sit outside, the prices are not overpriced.

We found this gem through google. The staffs were warm and welcoming. All the foods that we tried were top notch. Highly recommend.

It is a great restaurant to visit in Munich. We had a vacation and traveled from USA. We have tried many Momo's, But this Jhol Momo is out of this world. Hats off to the great chef Sandeep Basnet. Do go and try if you are visiting to Munich. एग्दमौ मिठो! Sehr Lecker!

Very, very tasty food! Small but very nice restaurant with very friendly service! (2019) *** 6 years later, I ate here with my husband and children...and everyone loves it. Something very special, a little culinary gem. We recommend the Nepal House Special for anyone who wants to try a bit of everything!

The service was super nice but there was an annoying discussion with the boss because he didn't want to accept the voucher because he supposedly couldn't offset it. Then don't issue vouchers if it doesn't work. Plus they were mini portions so for us once and never again.

The staff was very friendly. The food, on the other hand, was ok. It didn't taste like much, the portion was very small and it cost over twenty euros. Doesn't have to happen again.

Food was ok but very overpriced consider the portion (the most expensive dish on the menu and was only 40% full).We were not given the normal bill. And only can pay in cash. I will not recommend.

Restaurant looks nice and nicely decorated but when it comes to service and food it was below average. We ordered plate and the portion was like a child meal.. we had to ask for more rice and surprisingly they charged for it too. The price doesn’t justify with the food from both quality and quantity perspective. Staff wasn’t very attentive. Be ready to pay by Cash that’s another challenge. Overall not a good experience to be honest.

Probably one of our new favorite restaurants in Munich. The dumplings are amazing! The price is a little higher, but still okay. Service was also very nice and accommodating, we felt very comfortable even as “newbies” to Nepalese cuisine.

A great meal in a nice little restaurant

The appetiser plate had many tasty stuff but the main plate tasted just ok. The staff wasn’t so attentive and forgot to bring our drinks at the end.

Best Nepali food I've ever eaten! A visit to Nepal Haus is worth it because the food tastes so fantastic there.

Well the price was not so cheap and the portion was very small than other Nepalese Restaurants. Momo was ok but yes just 8 pieces instead of 10. We ordered the Chowmin which should be well fried but we got like not typically Chowmin but it was quite watery and not so well cooked. Veggies wasn’t fresh and it was Frozen.

We went there because of the good reviews. Unfortunately a disappointment. Price-performance ratio not consistent. The portions were really small. Taste OK. Unfortunately, the non-alcoholic drinks that we wanted to try that were listed on the menu were not available that day. Unfortunately, the entire drink was spilled over my girlfriend's dress, which was very annoying. The waiter apologized though There was no discount, as is the case in other restaurants. Unfortunately, card payment was also not possible. This should be pointed out before ordering. We were lucky to still have cash with us.

We stayed at the Nepal House a week ago and were very disappointed. The taste of the food was ok. The portions were outrageously small. Very high prices for that. The dumplings, which are the highlight here for many, were not bad but far from a taste highlight. They actually taste like frozen. I would definitely not recommend the restaurant due to the extremely inconsistent price/performance ratio.

I can't express what this place means to me, they have accurately named it as "Nepal Haus" - it is true , it's not a restaurant, it's a home where homemade food is served. After coming to Munich , I tried many Indian restaurants, but what I get here is not present anywhere in Munich - Warm welcome with respect and love , having always a smile on their face Food that is in "real authentic and Indian and Nepalese " Atmosphere - the have they carry their culture in this little place is praise worthy, decorated with emotions . Price - balanced with average price. Quantity of food is enough as per price Quality - believe me - once you have visited them , you will always go there. The touch of our motherland is carried in food with spices. I can write a essay being emotional what this place is. Instead of going to other restaurants to get a taste of India , I would prefer this place always. Healthy food means healthy body and happy mind and mood. What else one want ! Kudos to the PPL carrying this legacy of food and spreading love to their visitors. 🙏🏼

One of the finest and tastiest Momo I have ever eaten. The taste is very authentic and service is great. If you’re in Munich and want to try Nepalese food don’t miss this place.

We sat outside the Nepal House and had the national dish dhal. Lentil soup with rice, vegetables and lamb. I drank Mohi, a salty yogurt with pepper on it and my son drank a Sherpa beer 🍺. The food is very tasty and recommended, the service is very good. We had extra pillows carried out. The beer 🍺 is also very good. My son made me really happy this Mother's Day with this invitation to the Nepal House.

Many dishes are vegan, vegetarian or with meat. Perfect for mixed, small groups. Quite a small restaurant with a maximum of 10 tables. Reservations recommended. Delicious! No fancy Micki!

I had to wait at least 45 mins for a small portion of prison style/quality food, which costs 17 Euros! The waiter was very kind, but managed to mixed up our order. I do not understand the good rating of this restaurant. Expensive and poor quality!

I really liked the Nepalese food. The service was very accommodating. The waiter was great and recommended us to try the traditional food. Saturday evening with flute playing as background music. I would highly recommend this place.

I had high hopes based on the Bw ratings, but... it's not worth it at all in terms of price/performance. Small portion, long wait (for us it was 30 minutes). Main course averages from 15 euros and unfortunately the portions are really rather small. E.g. Vegi Dal Bha 16.90 euros.. I really don't understand the good reviews.

Loved the momos here. The thali had a very homely touch and the dishes were really tasty and fulfilling. But one thing which would maybe be a bit more happily cheered upon would be if they increased the amount of rice for the thali. Compared to the amount and number of side dishes for the thali, the quantity for rice is low.

The waiter serving us was really very friendly . The food were considered as “typical nepali food” . I would recommend to try the “teigtaschen” or “mo:mo” . One of the best place with great service and food . Totaly recommended

We stayed at the Nepal Haus during our stay in Munich and ate “Dal Bhat Nepal Haus Spezial” & “Vegi Momo”. Both were very tasty and the service on site was great and very accommodating. We would love to come back and are happy to have gotten to know something new! It is recommended without exception!

Tasty and budget friendly! The dumplings are a great starter to share with the table, as well as the starters. There is some very nice decor, and a relaxed candlelit atmosphere. There are very clearly labeled vegetarian/vegan options (a star next to the meal)

Nettes kleines Lokal mit sehr netten Service. Die Speißen waren interessant ob Landestypisch kann ich nicht beurteilen da ich noch nicht in Nepal war, fühlte sich aber so an. War meiner Meinung nach zu teuer Menü für 19€ war nicht schlecht aber nicht mein Geschmack.

Sehr kleines Restaurant- eine Reservierung ist zu empfehlen. Der Service ist sehr freundlich. Das Essen scheint auch frisch zubereitet worden zu sein. Die Momos waren sehr lecker. Genauso wie die Hauptspeisen. Das Dhal Bhat (Nationalgericht) war ebenfalls sehr gut. Kann man mal machen

Nothing compares the taste of mo:mo . The recommended food turned out to be very fantastic , Thanks to the the waiter who suggested it and the price were quite reasonable too . I am surely comming back❤️

We loved the food, it was really really really good. Binod uncle was so kind and we spoke in Nepali to him and he spoke to us in Nepali. The food was really really really delicious as per our taste, esp as we had 2 small kids. As close to home food as possible in Nepal.

Super leckeres Essen und der Service ist super. Ein wenig klein innen aber ständig voll. Reservieren ist eine sehr gute Option. Bier aus Nepal ist auch da und schmeckt super wie ein Pils. Die Karte ist zwar klein, aber bietet dennoch für alle was, ob vegetarisch oder mit Lamm/ Hühnchen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder zum Essen vorbei.

Essen und Service waren hervorragend, die nepalesische Küche und auch das nepalesische Bier 🍺 waren sehr schmackhaft.

Super gutes und vor allem authentisches Essen. Gastfreundschaft wird hier groß geschrieben. Würde ich nicht so weit weg wohnen, würde das definitiv ein Stammlokal werden.

Auf Anfrage gibt es ein veganes Dhal Bat, das einfach nur köstlich ist. Die Besitzer sind immer außerdordentlich freundlich. Alles ist scheint sehr authentisch. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Abbiamo cenato in 2 e non abbiamo speso poco, pur prendendo dei piatti tutto sommato semplici. Un bicchiere d'acqua a 2.5€ e la mancanza di possibilità di pagare con il bancomat sono le cose peggiori. Per il resto non abbiamo mangiato male, ma non ci tornerei. Il proprietario è gentile e disponibile.
