Very cozy inn. You feel welcome and are warmly greeted when you enter. The food is really tasty. In my opinion, the best ribs are here 😍. Generally very nice selection on the menu. The portions are really big.

We were there for dinner with a larger group. The salmon steak we ordered was a salmon fillet, the croquettes that accompanied the pork medallions were definitely in the oven too long and were rock hard. The potato pieces that accompanied the other dishes were either still raw or burnt. There was some kind of paper next to the schnitzel, which indicates the preparation of so-called gastro food. Whether anything was freshly prepared here can at least be questioned. Some of the service staff had no German language skills. When the cash came, the overload was at its peak. Paying savings was a problem. At last count there was supposedly around €100.00 still outstanding. However, the so-called service staff couldn't even communicate what was still open. Overall the dishes were of poor quality.

Hessian dishes with Frankfurt green sauce...

This German traditional restaurant is just few minutes walk from the Holiday Inn Express near Frankfurt airport. It's set in a lovely place surrounded by trees and nice nature trails. The restaurant is lovely and has nice homely atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is great, we eat twice there and both times it was excellent, accompanied by very tasty German wine and beer. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who stays around airport.

The country inn is absolutely recommended! From the moment we arrived we were warmly welcomed. The service was extremely nice and courteous, which immediately created a pleasant atmosphere. Particularly noteworthy is the quick cuisine - we didn't have to wait long for our food, which made us very happy. The food itself was excellent. There is a wide range of home cooked traditional dishes which were simply delicious. The menu also offers seasonal specialties, which ensures variety and offers something to suit every taste. The portions were generous and everything was freshly prepared. We particularly liked the cozy atmosphere, which fits perfectly with the rustic charm of the inn. It is the ideal place to enjoy delicious home cooking in a relaxed environment. The ability to reserve in advance ensures that you are sure to get a spot even on busy days. Another plus is the good parking options on site, which is particularly practical if you arrive by car. All in all, a fantastic experience that we can definitely recommend. We'll definitely be back!

The two of us were at the Naturfreundehaus for lunch and to discuss a birthday party. The meal started with a fresh, colorful salad with a delicious dressing. For the main course we had schnitzel or chicken breast in pepper cream sauce. We really enjoyed both and it was so plentiful that we were able to pack one of the two schnitzels and a whole portion of fries. Very positive. The conversation with the owner about the planned celebration was just as positive. He responded to our wishes for the vegetarians, offered to decorate the flowers on the table and suggested that we bring the cake ourselves for coffee after lunch, which he would then set up on a separate table along with the dishes. You don't often experience so much friendliness, accommodatingness and commitment to the guests' wishes. We are already excited about the planning and are expecting a great celebration.

This place is phenomenal! My wife got the schnitzel with spätzle instead of pommes (French fries), and I got a rump steak with potatoes. And let me tell you. This was THE best steak and THE best potatoes I’ve ever had. Period. I don’t know what they put in this stuff but it was mouth-watering and an explosion of perfect flavor. If you are in Germany - especially if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby - you HAVE to come give this dish a try! My wife’s schnitzel and spätzle were also very good. (I apologize the pictures aren’t very good but the food was incredible!)

We actually like eating here. Unfortunately, the last few visits have been somewhat unfortunate. The service was inattentive (except for the regular waiter). The waiting time for food was sometimes over 1.5 hours. Dogs run around the beer garden without a leash, which is not possible in a restaurant. The boss's tone towards his employees isn't that great either. A guy who is there regularly (a gardener according to the T-shirt) chats up everyone and plays loud music on his cell phone. Only the food was good. It's a shame about the great location. We are giving the country inn another chance and hope for improvement. Last year everything was fine.

I was there today. Unfortunately, I was greeted unfriendly and told I would have to wait a long time and was practically sent away. Waiting wouldn't have been a problem for me, I had time. But you could have told me a little more kindly that you were stressed and would rather not have any more guests today. I then went to the Goldener Apfel and, despite there being a lot of guests, I was greeted warmly, served quickly and after about 10 minutes I had my schnitzel and fries on the table. I understand stress, but a little kindness would still be in order.

The country inn has a great beer garden surrounded by greenery and forest. The food is inexpensive and very good. In addition to the extensive menu, there is also a lunch menu from Monday to Friday. I was last there on a Friday afternoon for a late lunch. We were there after 2 p.m. and were still able to order from the lunch table. 2 meals with a large bottle of water and 2 coffees for 36€ is really not too expensive! The staff are friendly and attentive.

I haven't seen such an unfriendly waiter in a long time, tables waiting for drinks and food, far too few staff for the size of the beer garden. Be prepared for stressed, unfriendly service and long waiting times :(

No hey, staff totally overwhelmed. You know that reservations have been made for 15 people for a week. We can't manage to provide enough staff and tables, let alone chairs. Went served for a long time and nothing vegetarian apart from fries and a single starter. Especially nothing vegan, what a shame. I wouldn't recommend!

I was there a few weeks ago. And because I liked it so much, I was there again yesterday with my friend. But yesterday it was the complete opposite. It was clear to us that we had to wait for a seat, but then we were ignored for a long time. Every waiter ran past us. We then said we would like to order something, they always said “immediately, immediately”. At some point we were asked if we wanted to order something. Then it took a while until someone finally brought us the cards. At some point someone even came and wrote down our order. The food and drinks came later, but it took forever before we could pay. The two women sitting next to us just wanted to pay, they often waved the waiter over, but they also waited a long time. I know, staff is hard to find and some people said last night that when the boss is there, nothing like this happens. But a boss also has the right to vacation or a day off.

Good food, you sit beautifully under the trees BUT the service leaves a lot to be desired. The food is brought quickly but then you wait for the bill. No wonder, today only one waitress cashed in. I felt sorry for the lady.

Drinks came quite quickly, but the food, after several requests, came much too late (guests who came after us had already eaten theirs) and even the schnitzel was burnt and burnt out. We were guests at the Holiday Inn and wanted to have dinner at the country inn. We arrived at around 5:15 p.m. and were asked to sit at a large table by a waiter. Unfortunately, after 15 minutes we weren't asked what we wanted to drink, but were rudely insulted by a waiter saying that this table was reserved and we weren't allowed to sit there. He turned around and left. He neither offered an alternative nor apologized for his misconduct. I pointed out to him that that's not how you talk to someone and that we certainly won't be eating there again. Communication is everything because finally we were brought to the table by his colleague. The food from the other guests looked delicious, as there was a lot going on, it will definitely taste good too. But that was the worst way to deal with people

Great food in a pleasant atmosphere. Price/performance ratio is right! What is very disturbing is the waiter with no hair. He always shouts very loudly throughout the beer garden about which table is still missing bread and where something still needs to be carried. He may be the head waiter, but he is really very unprofessional. I would put it away from the guests and rather put it in the scullery. But like I said, everything else was perfect!

We stopped here on our drive from Spain to Northern Germany and stayed at the Holiday Inn Express. The country inn was recommended to us there and we tested it straight away in the evening. Since the weather wasn't good in April, only the inside of the restaurant was open. It was a little too loud for us as it was very busy and we decided to take the food with us. The order was ready within 20 minutes and the portions were more than enough for 2 people and super tasty. Great value for money, we will definitely come back again.

Ordered by phone and deliberately arranged a pickup for 5:30 p.m. as I still have appointments afterwards. When I arrived they said I had ordered for 6pm, which was bullshit. I pointed out that 5:30 p.m. was agreed upon, whereupon I was assured that they would "hurry up." I was then allowed to sit at a table for 40 minutes and wait for my order, which was ultimately ready at 6:15 p.m. I was able to cancel the appointment afterwards and was given a bottle of Coke as compensation. Once and never again.

The service and the range of food and drinks are certainly above what one would expect without bias. Above all, an uncomplicated, warm, authentic and very hard-working staff rounds off a visit to the Naturfreundehaus perfectly. The food comes extremely quickly, the temperature is right and great attention is paid to an appealing ambience. The portions are large. So you get REALLY full and you can take some of your food home with you if necessary. The dishes are attractively prepared and always of the same very good quality. From the starters you are welcome to try the "Gambas" with an always very delicious baguette, as well as schnitzel, fried potatoes, pork medallions, minced steak, salads, beer, wine, grappa, and various other spirits. Once we get to the menu below, let's start again at the top.

Reserved by telephone for Sundays with 11 people at 12.30 p.m. Very friendly and uncomplicated. In the end there were only 9 of us. When it became apparent during our little hike that we would be half an hour late, all it took was a phone call and our places were still reserved. Many thanks. Very friendly service, always up for a joke and not so stiff and really quick. Ordering was quick and the food came for everyone at relatively the same time. Everyone enjoyed it and the portions were big enough. Even extra requests were implemented very competently. I wanted vegetables instead of fried potatoes with the grilled steak. No problem - grilled Mediterranean vegetables (peppers, eggplant, zucchini and mushrooms) - very tasty. The empty dishes were carefully removed immediately and further requests were asked and whether everything fit. Tables are set with clean white tablecloths, paper napkins and small floral decorations. Toilets clean. Unfortunately there are no paper towels to dry your hands, only this hot air gun. Dogs are also welcome. We were all very satisfied and will remember this location from now on, also because it is easy to walk/hike nearby. There are enough parking spaces.
