Here you can still get seasonal dishes: savoy cabbage in autumn, Brussels sprouts in winter and strawberries when they are ripe outside.

Disappointing and Unprofessional We had originally planned to hold our wedding reception at the Landgasthof Naturfreunde. At first, everything seemed promising: The owner was friendly, the ambiance made a solid impression, and we thought it would be a beautiful setting for our special day. Unfortunately, this impression quickly and significantly changed. During the planning process, as with any large celebration, we had to ask a few questions to clarify the menu. My son had already created the menu, and we simply wanted to ensure that the appetizer would be served as discussed. Instead of responding objectively to our legitimate questions, the owner lost control. He became loud, became practically enraged, and finally started yelling at my wife – on the phone, for absolutely no reason. This behavior was so disrespectful and unprofessional that we just stared at each other in disbelief. Objective communication was no longer possible after that. For us, this kind of behavior is an absolute no-go, especially in the restaurant industry, and even more so when it comes to a wedding celebration. Friendliness, patience, and customer service are something you should expect here. Unfortunately, we experienced the exact opposite. We therefore strongly advise everyone to avoid this country inn, especially if it's for special occasions or celebrations. After this experience, we wouldn't eat there again either. Very disappointing and definitely not recommended.

Very, very delicious food. We were a large group, but the food came very quickly and everyone ate at the same time. Everything was freshly prepared, and the rump steak was cooked to perfection. Price/performance+++

The service, the food simply great!!!!

The food was very good, and the "Frankfurter Green Sauce" was worth a try. The horseradish sauce with the Tafelspitz was perfect (just the right amount of spice). The staff was very nice. Keep it up.

Went here today because it's close to the hotel, what can we say? It was simply delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection (medium), the fries were fresh and crispy (definitely no old grease), and the salad, I haven't had one this good in a long time! The chanterelle mushrooms were delicious, the dressing was yum, and the baked feta cheese on top was perfectly breaded... that's definitely a reason to check back into the nearby hotel. Thank you for the really good service and the great food... we'll be back!

The food is very good, but the boss and the staff are the worst. They're so arrogant. I'd rather go to Tomassi's on Starkenburg Street. They're not as arrogant as you.

Unfortunately, my visit here with my family was a huge disappointment. The food turned out to be of poor quality, sat very heavily in the stomach, and led to severe discomfort and diarrhea during the night, presumably due to the old, greasy food. The service was extremely unfriendly, which further tarnished the overall experience. The value for money was disastrous – the food was far too expensive for the quality. The only bright spot was the beer, which was delicious. Overall, this is cheap food sold at far too high a price.

Very nice inn, exceptionally good food, generous portions. Just a minute from the highway. Large and nice playground for the kids.

We were at a wedding with 40 people. The beer garden was very well-filled. I've never experienced such a structured, perfect process, especially with this kind of operation. No one in our party had to wait for their food. Many had steak, which was very good. The starter and main course, as well as the dessert, came quickly. And the tiramisu...a poem. So: great staff, great chefs, you are truly GREAT. We'll be back.

It's an idyllic setting, but the staff were a bit overwhelmed as it was extremely busy that day.

Never again....Schnitzel was only warmed up!!!! Didn't see a pan. Greek salad had an olive....Bald bellboy's behavior was so bad that the rest of the food got stuck in his throat. A change of tenant is recommended. I've known this restaurant for 25 years.

Unfortunately, the restaurant has declined considerably... the service doesn't understand the order because they speak almost no German and only brings half the food. The quality of the food has also declined. I was a regular here, and it was one of my favorite restaurants. Unfortunately, this season's steak was rarely cooked medium, which naturally made the meat seem tough. I still enjoy coming here and hope that with every visit you'll reach the same level as last year.

I discovered a great restaurant today. It's idyllically located in the forest on the outskirts of Mörfelden-Walldorf. Highly recommended, even if I deduct a point for the food. The pepper cream schnitzel with fried potatoes was almost perfect. Unfortunately, the side salad didn't quite measure up. It was prepared too long in temperatures over 30 degrees Celsius and therefore wasn't particularly great. Regardless, it's excellent value for money.

Great place to eat and have a drink

We stopped in spontaneously. It smelled delicious on the way there. We sat outside and received excellent service. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The food was fresh and delicious.

I was in the beer garden and ate a schnitzel. It was edible. Unfortunately, I had to reorder my salad because it wasn't served or had been forgotten. The prices were reasonable, and the service was attentive. The restaurant itself is secluded, located on the edge of the forest.

Great place to eat! It's worth getting off the highway for a delicious meal. The atmosphere and the setting are all great, but the service and the people who make it happen are the real stars.

We come here often; the manager and the waiters are always friendly and attentive. There are parking spaces, but not many; if the place is busy, it can be full. The food is plentiful and delicious. There's currently a special menu featuring chanterelle dishes. I had the steak with chanterelle mushrooms and croquettes. The steak was nicely seared and tender, nice and medium, as requested. The others also enjoyed their dishes :).

We ate there today and the food was really delicious. I ordered a children's schnitzel for my daughter, which costs 7.90 on the menu. As my daughter doesn't eat pork, I asked if they had chicken and they said yes, turkey, which was fine with me. At the end the bill came and they charged me 6 euros extra for a turkey schnitzel for children instead of a pork schnitzel. I think that's really cheeky and I was very shocked. For this reason, I wouldn't go to the restaurant again.

I like eating Zurich-style schnitzel. It's just always a bit small. It also contains a lot of mushrooms. Unfortunately, one serving doesn't fill me up.

We had the food there, which was rather mediocre. The cheese was hard and too old. Prices, however, as everywhere, were quite high, service was rather fast, and there were lots of children. We won't be back... Regards

A perfect stopover when traveling on the A5. We stop here often. When the kids were younger, they had fun in the playground. Dogs are welcome in the large beer garden. The food is homely and regional. Of course, we've also sat in the restaurant with our dogs. Lunch is served until 2:30 p.m. The service is always friendly. We'll continue to stop here. The Hessian classic with green sauce is especially recommended, even for those who aren't from Hesse like us.

For us, it was a spontaneous visit on a rainy day. The beer garden is large, the restaurant is nicely and quaintly decorated, and we were immediately greeted and served. The food was delicious, the portions were generous, and it arrived really quickly. The price/performance ratio is absolutely right here 👍

Courteous staff, always friendly and welcoming, quick and informed about the menu.

The two of us went to the Naturfreundehaus for lunch to discuss a birthday party. The meal started with a fresh, colorful salad with a delicious dressing. For the main course, we had schnitzel and chicken breast in a peppercorn sauce. We loved both, and there was so much food that we were able to pack up another schnitzel and a whole portion of fries. Very positive. The conversation with the owner about the planned celebration was equally positive. He accommodated our vegetarian requests, offered to arrange the flower arrangements for the table, and suggested we bring our own cake for coffee after lunch, which he would then set up on a separate table along with all the dishes. You don't often experience such friendliness, helpfulness, and dedication to the guests' wishes. We were already excited about the planning and expected a beautiful celebration. And that's exactly what we got. The table was set up in a separate room, decorated with flowers, and there was a separate table where we could place the cakes we had brought with us. Everyone enjoyed the food; special requests were also accommodated, and vegetarians were offered dishes not listed on the menu. I think it's especially worth mentioning that we brought our own cakes and only the coffee we ordered with them appeared on the bill. I highly recommend the Naturfreundehaus.

We really enjoy eating here. The selection is great, the portions are very large, and everything is delicious. Main courses come with a small appetizer salad. When the weather's nice, you can sit outside in the beer garden. The value is very good. They offer seasonal dishes, for example, during asparagus season.

This restaurant is the only one within walking distance of the Holiday Inn Express near Frankfurt Airport, but is worth a stop even if you are not staying there. The food is excellent and the staff is very accommodating (English speaking and will help out with the German menu if needed). Both meals I had there were top notch. Lots of outdoor seating, less indoor seating. Only thing to watch out for is timing as this place is popular and gets very busy for dinner (two tour buses there the first evening I visited). Great experience, definitely recommended!

Good home-style food. No star cuisine, not perfect on point but that doesn't have to be the case here. It tastes like home, so to speak. Price/performance is also absolutely fine. We'd love to come by again when we're nearby.

Like to be outside in summer. When there is a lot going on, service staff can sometimes be a bit overwhelmed, but usually everything works and you receive friendly service. The food is good and the price-performance ratio is good. The steaks I ate here were consistently well cooked. The apple strudel is also very good.

Was there a week ago. Very tasty food (potatoes with eggs and green sauce). What was great was that the plate was served with salad (around the outside of the food). The service was very friendly and the food was served quickly. The atmosphere was also very cozy.

When our flight plans were interrupted and we were put up in the hotel across from this restaurant we weren't sure what to think. The food was so delicious!! You feel like you are in someone's home and they are making you authentic homemade food. We didn't plan on being in Frankfurt but this meal made it all worthwhile. 😀

We were there for dinner with a larger group. The salmon steak we ordered was a salmon fillet, the croquettes that accompanied the pork medallions were definitely in the oven too long and were rock hard. The potato pieces that accompanied the other dishes were either still raw or burnt. There was some kind of paper next to the schnitzel, which indicates the preparation of so-called gastro food. Whether anything was freshly prepared here can at least be questioned. Some of the service staff had no German language skills. When the cash came, the overload was at its peak. Paying savings was a problem. At last count, around €100.00 was apparently still outstanding. However, the so-called service staff couldn't even communicate what was still open. Overall the dishes were of poor quality.

Hessian dishes with Frankfurt green sauce...

This German traditional restaurant is just few minutes walk from the Holiday Inn Express near Frankfurt airport. It's set in a lovely place surrounded by trees and nice nature trails. The restaurant is lovely and has nice homely atmosphere and the staff is very friendly and attentive. The food is great, we eat twice there and both times it was excellent, accompanied by very tasty German wine and beer. We highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who stays around airport.

This place is phenomenal! My wife got the schnitzel with spätzle instead of pommes (French fries), and I got a rump steak with potatoes. And let me tell you. This was THE best steak and THE best potatoes I’ve ever had. Period. I don’t know what they put in this stuff but it was mouth-watering and an explosion of perfect flavor. If you are in Germany - especially if you are staying at the Holiday Inn Express nearby - you HAVE to come give this dish a try! My wife’s schnitzel and spätzle were also very good. (I apologize the pictures aren’t very good but the food was incredible!)
