Namaste Shiva, indisches Speiserestaurant in Trier

We were there on Friday at 1 p.m. Both the opening hours on the website and those posted on the door said it had to be open. After knocking loudly, we were told the restaurant was closed. Communication in English.

food quality and taste was amazing, not like any typical Indian restaurants in Europ. it was different,they made you miss india, and wanted to come frequently there for the food despite of the proce, but ever since they started the dilevery service with Lieferando, there quality and taste just went down, last day I ordered 3 dishes of chicken they all were the same. color, tast, everything just the price varied. i even went there with hubby thought may it would be different to have it in the restaurant but was highly disappointed, they can fool germans in the name of indian food. but in this process they are only spoiling indian name cuisine and culture. I will never recommend anyone this place.. Very beginning when I had food here I had words with the owner , and I told him to stay this way don't change it for anything, I can see now how his ratings are going down. better it shuts down.

Okaish food is all I could say . They tried their best , but as per Indian standards food was just edible but not tasty .

Ate very well and sat in the beautiful beer garden. The service was super friendly and the food was really delicious and very authentically Indian! We really enjoyed it!

We've been there several times. Unfortunately we were disappointed this time. Otherwise there was always a lentil bread beforehand which apparently no longer exists. Naan bread is only available for a fee, which is something we are not used to at other Indian restaurants. The waiter seemed rather listless and unfriendly. The food was quite good. It's a shame, we'll prefer the alternative restaurant in the future.

I've only been there twice, but it's already one of my absolute favorite restaurants in Trier. The quality of the food as well as the wine selection and advice are excellent. Also worth highlighting is the friendly and always attentive service. I'm already looking forward to the next visit. Unfortunately, I had to change the rating because the service (possibly the boss) repeatedly behaved in a very unfriendly and annoyed manner towards the customers. I don't want to go into it any further at this point, but that doesn't make up for the still wonderful food.

Food was okay, but nothing special. I ordered medium hot, but it was so hot that you didn't taste anything other than spiciness. The boss, who also serves, seems listless and unfriendly, you don't feel welcome, more like a troublemaker. The second waiter is friendly, but doesn't speak a word of German. 🤷🏼‍♂️ In general there is also a lack of cleanliness. The toilets and the stairs down to the toilet are incredibly dirty. The guest room appears unkempt and shabby. Definitely not a recommendation!

The waiter wasn't friendly. Small portions, expensive but the food was tasty. Unfortunately no Amuse Guel like in most Indian restaurants. When paying, the waiter forced everyone (including other tables) to give a tip. If they didn't want it, he would apologize that he didn't have change, and according to him, paying with the bank card didn't work either. Not so great for me...

The restaurant doesn't deserve a star because the shop owner is not friendly and the kitchen is very sloppy

For us the best Indian restaurant in Trier and the surrounding area. We come here to eat regularly and are always completely satisfied. Absolutely recommended!

I was disappointed to discover that your restaurant, which presents itself with Indian-themed decor, is actually a Pakistani establishment. This misrepresentation perpetuates harmful stereotypes and is offensive. Additionally, the food quality was subpar, and the service lacked professionalism.Please consider rebranding to reflect honesty and inclusivity, and also address the issues with food quality and service professionalism.

The worst restaurant and unprofessional services. Rude owner and staff. Suggestion: Don't go with family or kids.

I would never recommend Namaste Shiva restaurant , we had horrible experinece at this reaturant on our visit to Trier. The owner of the restaurant was disrespectful and started shouting on us (family with kids and elderly person) on a simple request of extra bowl. He almost pushed us and used inappropriate language and upon requesting him to calm down , he just raised his voice and used foul words . Our kids started crying witnessing the whole incident. Such a horrible incident we had upon our vacation to Trier. Please save yourself and never ever vist this filthy place .

I wrestled with myself for a long time whether I should give two or three stars, but later decided on two. It was very cool in the restaurant, if I put it nicely, my father had to get a sweater out of the car because it was too cold for him, other guests were sitting in the restaurant wearing winter jackets. The service was very friendly and competent, a plus point. The prices were okay, but the taste, as is often the case, wasn't outstanding. I had chicken soup as a starter and I found it to be over-seasoned, it just felt spicy. My parents' lentil soup was pureed instead of whole lentils. When we asked why that was the case, we were told that several customers had already complained, which makes me wonder if you're already advertising Indian food, why would you give in? and doesn't write that on the card, well whatever. My main course of duck with peppers was okay, but not a highlight, I somehow missed the spice. I found the portion size to be very small. I also had flatbread filled with lamb and I have to say that it wasn't to my taste and it was a bit of a struggle to get it down. No recommendation! All in all, the visit was okay, but I wouldn't come back again.

I was here for the first time. I ordered the exotic mango salad. Unfortunately, it wasn't nearly as it was on the map. Instead of rocket salad I got cheap iceberg lettuce, and there was no mint on the plate either. The peppers were replaced with cucumbers and there were also tomatoes. The mango was barely recognizable as such. It was still almost white and rock hard. Unfortunately I was very disappointed.

We went to Namaste Siva Restaurant with a friend. The waiter seemed unprofessional and the lady there was very rude. The amount of food we got doesn't really justify the price we paid. The staff should be better trained. The taste of the food is good but the quantity leaves something to be desired.

Very, very good, absolute recommendation. Prices are a bit high, but you get something for your money.

The ambience was reasonable, we weren't really picked up by the Indian atmosphere. When we got the tickets, we chose an aperitif, which was also quite good and reasonably priced. We then chose a starter and a main course according to the menu. The starter was great, but the main courses were basically the same in terms of seasoning, except that there were differences such as chicken, lamb and chicken. In addition, the chicken was not cooked through and the consistency was sometimes fibrous. The rice was also nothing special, as you would find in other Indian places in the area. Last but not least, the bill, where we noticed that all the dishes were between €1.50 and two euros more expensive than stated on the menu. I think it's a shame that this wasn't pointed out beforehand, even if there was an adjustment to the VAT. So far you've had enough time to adapt the maps or at least make a note on the map. Our conclusion: this restaurant is no longer an option for us and we cannot recommend it. There's better in the area.

9 of us ate there. The people are very nice, but unfortunately the staff is rather untrained. But the food was delicious. The atmosphere could be a bit nicer. Price performance was good.

Wir waren zum Abendessen im Restaurant. Reservierung klappte problemlos, allerdings sollte man der englischen Sprache mächtig sein, denn deutsch wird nur bedingt gesprochen. Bestellt haben wir eine Vorspeise, die gut geschmeckt hat. Doch bei der Hauptspeise zeigte das Restaurant sich von seiner schlechten Seite. Bestellt haben wir zwei Hauptspeisen, die leider völlig versalzen waren und von uns reklamiert wurden. Ersatz kam, doch diese haben leider ebenfalls nicht geschmeckt, da das Fleisch zäh und trocken war. Hinzu begann uns der Wirt anzupöblen und zu versuchen uns Schuldgefühle einzureden. "Sie müssen beim nächsten Mal Bescheid sagen, dass sie 0 Salz wollen". Ich glaube der hat entweder nicht verstanden was unser Problem war oder verkraftet keine Kritik. Wir haben das Restaurant kurz darauf verlassen und werden auch nicht wiederkommen. Denn, Zitat: " Wenn Sie nicht wiederkommen ist das kein Problem!". Hat nur noch gefehlt, dass er uns mit einem Schuh bewirft. Schade...da die Lage gut und der junge Kellner und die junge Kellnerin sehr nett waren. Rausgeschmissenes Geld, Einheitsbrei und ein verdammt unfreundlicher und ungastlicher Wirt.

This is a good curry house in Trier. It is my first visit and I had the lamb bhuna. Decent level of heat and spice, very tasty. Happy to return and try their Madras and Vindaloo. Good naan bread too. The outdoor area is good for sunny days

Wir waren da vor 2 Tagen. Nach einer halben Stunde kam der Chef die Bestellung aufschreiben. Getränke kamen. Ganze 50 Minuten später reklamierten wir wo das Essen bleibt. 5 Minuten später war das Essen da. Vorspeise wurde aber total vergessen. Später stand sie aber auf der Rechnung Ich empfand die Kellner wie ein herumirrender Hühnerhaufen ohne Deutschkenntnisse. In der Küche war auch Chaos. Ersatzreis war kalt. Nie wieder

Auf unserem Städtetrip haben wir uns für dieses Indische Restaurant entschieden und waren sehr zufrieden damit. Ein wirklich tolles Ambiente - wir haben aufgrund des lauwarmen Abends draußen gesessen - und das Essen war sehr lecker. Aufgrund des großen unangemeldeten Zulaufs hatte die Bedienung viel zu tun, kam aber wohl schon recht gut hinterher. Das Chili-Brot war sehr lecker 😋 Und wenn auch Inder hier essen, muss es gut sein 😉

Ein besonderer Abend in diesem wirklich schönen indischen Restaurant mit Biergarten. Die Speisen haben wir sehr genossen, die Beschreibungen entsprachen der Zubereitung. Wir empfehlen es guten Gewissens weiter.

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal da. Den Biergarten kennen wir noch von früher. Noch immer sehr schön mit den tollen alten Bäumen. Sowas findet man noch selten. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich, das Essen kam von Vorspeise bis Hauptgang sehr schnell. Man musste nicht lange hungern, wie es manchmal sonstwo der Fall ist. Die Karte bietet viele Gerichte zu sehr guten und fairen Preisen, es wird jeder fündig. Extrawünsche sind kein Problem. Das Essen war sensationell gut!!! Drei verschiedene Gerichte und jeder war gleichermaßen begeistert. Zum Schluss würden wir genauso freundlich verabschiedet, wie wir begrüßt wurden. 5 Sterne in allen Punkten, wir kommen definitv wieder

Endlich in meiner Nähe eine gute Kombi aus einem sehr schönen Biergarten, einer Speisekarte, die auch für Vegetarier ein Interessantes Angebot bietet und ein vernünftiges Preis-Leistungsverhältniss. Bei unserem Besuch waren nur wenig Gäste da. Scheint also noch nicht so bekannt zu sein.

Das Personal ist sehr nett und aufmerksam, das Essen ist unfassbar gut, lange nicht mehr so lecker gegessen! Auch das Ambiente im Biergarten ist ganz süß😊werde hier jetzt definitiv häufiger Essen gehen! Ganz klare Empfehlung von mir!😍👍🏼

Wir waren schon in mindestens 30 verschiedenen indischen Restaurants, dieses hier gehört geschmacklich zu den Top 5. 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻

Ein schönes Restaurant mit Tischen im Hinterhof, idyllisch unter Baumkronen. Die Bedienung was freundlich und flott, das Essen war lecker. Dazu lief dezent Hiphop auf Hindi, hört man nicht so oft.

Etwas versteckt, aber der Weg hat sich gelohnt. Jeder war begeistert, obwohl ein "Mitesser" zum ersten Mal die indische Küche genießen durfte. Er wurde hier zum Fan.

Wir waren heute mit einer größeren Gruppe dort essen. Wir fanden das Essen qualitativ sehr gut, schön und appetitlich serviert. Der Service war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir würden dieses Restaurant sofort nochmal besuchen. Genügend Parkplätze sind vor der Tür vorhanden. Toll dass in Trier ein solches Restaurant eröffnet hat!

Wir waren heute zum ersten Mal in dem vor kurzem neu eröffneten indischen Lokal Namaste Shiva - und wir waren mit Sicherheit nicht das letzte Mal hier! Eine ganz tolle Speisekarte mit den verschiedensten Gerichten, so dass zunächst einmal schon die Auswahl schwer fiel. Als Gruß aus der Küche wurden gleich knusprige Papadams mit drei verschiedenen Dips serviert- einfach köstlich! Unsere Gerichte waren äußerst lecker, (und reichlich)! Der Service war nett und zuvorkommend. Wir sind froh, dass hier in Trier ein solch tolles indisches Lokal eröffnet hat! Dass wir nicht die einzigen Gäste sind, denen es gefällt und schmeckt, zeigt die Tatsache, dass wir bereits eine Woche im Voraus buchen mussten, um einen Tisch am Samstagabend zu bekommen.....und dass das Restaurant mehr als gut besucht war. Wir kommen wieder!
