The food there is very tasty, but also expensive. I've eaten there twice so far and wasn't treated very well. Today I ordered before rush hour, but only received half the order. Instead of a brownie and a latte, I was given a salad... Thanks for the heads-up, I guess :) So, for €40, I was quite disappointed. Especially since there was practically no one else in the place. The two women were talking loudly to each other and seemed rather half-hearted.

I am a long time customer of dean and david trier. The portion is becoming less and less each day. The lady worker cannot speak German and is VERY ARROGANT. She keep staring unfriendly at me and no smile whatsoever. Portion is very small now compare to even yesterday or a month ago! Less rice each day. Please take care of your hiring process. I ordered yesterday an hour after they opened. The service was quite unfriendly, and while waiting, I noticed the counter was very dirty, with dust, soiled disposable packaging, and a glass pane that hadn't been cleaned in a long time. At home, I was also disappointed with the food; it was definitely worse than usual. In the evening, I wanted to have the acai bowl, but I found the taste rather strange. Based on what I'd seen earlier that morning, I checked the label: "Best before 04/11" (purchased on 07/11). That's unacceptable!

I ordered through Lieferando and was truly deeply disappointed. I had to wait almost two hours for my order. In that time, I could have gone shopping, cooked rice, fried some chicken, chopped lettuce, and made myself a bowl. My wife ordered extra chicken for her salad—there were only three strips of meat in the entire salad. That costs an extra €2.50, just so you know. My wrap was also ice cold, which was probably because the delivery driver was on a bicycle and then wandered aimlessly around my front door for a while. He claimed he couldn't read the nameplates on the doorbell. This "pleasure" cost me over €50: a long wait, the wrong order, and everything cold. The food is really good in the restaurant itself, I don't want to hold that against them. This wasn't the first disappointing delivery—but so far, I've been able to overlook minor mishaps. But enough is enough. I definitely won't be ordering from here again.

I'm a long-time Dean&David customer and I'm always quite satisfied with the food, which I always pre-order for pickup. Today, some of the lettuce leaves were dried brown, the salmon had an unpleasantly strong odor, and the mixed seeds were missing. Hopefully, it was just a slip-up!

As soon as you open the door, you run into other customers placing their orders at the terminal. An inquiry revealed that the staff is overwhelmed—brief and rude, unable to distinguish between the receipts, let alone assign the correct order—when there are more than two customers at once. They don't want the customer directly at the counter, hence the terminals. That's the standard at McDonald's and the like. And this isn't my first experience. Twice is at least once too many. No more!!!

Never again! I ordered two dishes, one bowl, and a wrap. My son arrived five minutes later and ordered the same wrap. All via the digital panel. I didn't print out the receipt because it said to protect trees by saving paper. But I did take photos of the order numbers. Ordered twice, paid twice. Three dishes. My son got his wrap first, then my daughter's bowl. When I asked for my wrap, I was snapped at, "You already got your wrap!" When I said I'd ordered two wraps, I was asked for the receipt. I couldn't show it, but I could show two photos of two order numbers. They then shoved a different wrap in my face, to which I said I'd ordered something else but would rather cancel it because I was tired of the store. Ten minutes later, with the help of another waitress, I received the €9.95 refund. Meanwhile, a Lieferando driver wanted to pick up his order and received it in an Uber Eats bag. When he complained, he was yelled at. Over a year ago, I had an unbearable experience there. I admired the new accessible restroom in the basement and asked for the elevator. Unfortunately, there wasn't one. Access was only via the stairs. Yesterday, I saw that the wheelchair symbol had been removed and replaced with a storage room. I will never visit this restaurant again and I won't recommend it to anyone!!!

The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Unfortunately, the atmosphere wasn't very inviting: the tables were sticky and were only wiped down upon request, and there was food all over the floor. The staff were very reserved. It's a shame, but it makes you think twice about going there.

I ordered from Too Good to Go – it's totally fine that the food included was from the morning, and also that it wasn't that fresh anymore. But this bag was a real disgrace. The two "breads" were completely dried out, old, and one of them even had very few toppings. Half the wrap and whatever the fourth one was supposed to be were also completely hardened and dried out. This has nothing to do with saving food, but rather with making money off your waste. It was inedible, and the entire bag ended up in the trash. A real shame, and definitely not recommended.

We were at the restaurant on Thursday afternoon. The employee at the grill, where the food was prepared, was so rude and annoyed with the customers, and there were quite a few of them. I was truly speechless. The young employee who took orders was very nice and tried very hard, but unfortunately, communication was very difficult. The takeaway food you ordered was simply slammed down on the counter... I only received a bag after asking several times. Okay... luckily I can pack it myself!!!!! I was very disappointed because the food there isn't exactly cheap. Tables weren't cleared, and overall, the dining area wasn't very inviting. I'd rather take my food home. Conclusion... I'm very disappointed, and I'd rather not even mention the wait.

D&D used to be really good! Healthy food, reasonable portions and good value for money. For some time now there have apparently been new guidelines on how the bowls that are picked up or delivered are to be packaged! The small plastic container that the sauce is poured into is now placed completely inside the bowl. Yes, it saves the extra tape that was previously used to seal the lid and it also saves food because the space the container takes up in the bowl does not have to be filled with food. Of course, considering the quantity, this saves a lot of money! But for a company that stands for fresh and healthy food, this is simply not acceptable!!! This is so disgusting and unhygienic!!! Whoever came up with this idea should be fired. For me, who sometimes shopped at this company several times a week, this is the last time I order or eat there because this practice has nothing to do with healthy eating anymore!

Ordered from Lieferando, sauces for the salads were swapped and the quantity and price-performance ratio were not right at all! With an order of just over €50, you should be able to expect to feed three people, and no, we are not French fries who eat for two people. In addition, we all selected the double-up option in order to get twice the amount of meat, the amount of the salads was okay, but this option was probably not taken into account with the curry, forgotten or the standard proportion of meat in the dish is so low that it is a MUST to order extra meat so that you can still get something between your teeth. My conclusion: The taste is quite good, but the price is outrageous for the quantity!

I had the Asian Curry Beef. The rice was sticky and without any taste. The “grazing beef” was tough, dry and way too little. The portion in general, even though it was double beef, was a child's portion. For 16€ a very funny price. But the curry itself was delicious!

We eat here often. Are always satisfied. Nice staff and good food. Don't understand the criticism. I once noticed how an older lady couldn't cope with the order because she didn't know many of the foods. A young man in service ordered her exactly what she knew and wanted. I've always been a fan of Dean & David, but unfortunately the price-performance ratio is increasingly leaving something to be desired. The quality has noticeably deteriorated, which is simply unacceptable given the high prices. The salad was not only carelessly put together, but also poorly washed - you bite on sand and see unsightly leaves that should actually have been sorted out. The atmosphere was even more unpleasant: During the meal, I constantly had to listen to the young women behind the counter loudly complaining about their colleagues. Instead of complaining about others, it would make more sense to concentrate on the quality of the food and pre-wash and pick the salad properly. I won't be coming back!

I've always enjoyed going to Dean & David for years, but recently things have changed for the worse. The portions have become smaller, so they are no longer filling. The tables are often dirty. The staff is always understaffed, so things get chaotic and mistakes are made (wrong ingredients, a take-away dish is prepared on a plate and then added to the to-go bowl, sauces are forgotten, etc.). Today at lunchtime there were only two employees in charge of the entire store. With such understaffing, it is not possible to collect cash, lovingly prepare dishes and take care of washing up and cleanliness at the same time. Dear management, such conditions are unacceptable for your employees and customers! Please ensure there are enough staff (even the new, incomprehensible ordering counters do not replace people). Or if there is a high level of sickness absence, leave the restaurant closed completely instead of making the few employees sick due to the enormous stress and scaring away customers with poor service and poor quality.

The tiny tortilla with falafel was also cold and not good. I don't know what the Germans have in mind to add cabbage and pomegranate to falafel in one tortilla. The veg was disgusting and inedible. My fiancé had chicken in teryaki and it's clear that they don't understand the concept of teryaki... although he liked his. I do not recommend it, even though the service was very nice and helpful.

Dirty train station flair at high prices. We were here in the late afternoon and were hoping for a fresh bowl. Dirty tables, cutlery not washed properly and rancid glasses (I have no idea what can be so difficult about using a dishwasher correctly). Even the waitress only found dirty glasses with leftover food on the entire shelf. Sorry is nice but doesn't help. After a very long wait and mixing up the dish, the food was okay but the taste was so-so. No recommendation from me!

I was looking for a little something and am always interested in what is IN the products (ingredients, no allergen information!!). Unfortunately, it is no longer common practice these days to be able to tell the guest what is in the finished (baked) product of CONTENT (e.g. wheat or spelled flour, the type of fat or oil, sugar/substitute/fruit sweetener, etc.). I can't give any information about the taste because the lady behind the counter said that she couldn't know what was in everything. Only one allergen card came up. Then I turned away and bought something at the store. I would like to specifically point out that everyone should receive information about the ingredients! And easy to see. This doesn't just affect Dean&David, other restaurants (especially chains) are not exempt either.

I have been a customer there for many years and have always been very satisfied. Recently, however, the portions have become so outrageously small. I've tested this several times and now I won't go again. I am a normal weight person who is happy with normal portions. But what you get there for 10-12 euros is at most an appetizer. You really won't get tired of it. The bowl is no more than half full, although it used to be really full. The staff changes constantly and is sometimes unprofessional. The price-performance ratio is no longer right for me if, after a lunch for twelve euros, I still have to buy rolls from the bakery in order to feel full.

Would give zero stars if it were possible... We're pissed. We have it on February 5th!!!! Want to order something in the evening. It was shortly before the delivery deadline and we were called after placing the order saying that it was no longer possible because the driver had already left. We were not offered an alternative, such as collection. No problem so far. When I asked what happened with the cancellation and the money back, I was told that someone would take care of it the next morning and then the money would come. The next day nothing happened. At first we didn't let it bother us and until Wednesday (we had ordered on Monday), when nothing happened on Wednesday I called, whereupon the employee on the phone said she didn't know anything about it, but she would take care of it took care of it and gave me a number to which I sent screenshots of the order. She said it could take a few days. That was okay at first, but when I waited and waited again, I called again and was told it was in progress and would take a few more days via Lieferando. That was 1.5 weeks ago. To date we haven't gotten our money back (almost €30). It's an absolute disgrace, on the part of the store and the employees. Will not go or order here again!!

Leckeres Essen, hübsch angerichtet und schnell fertig. Lediglich der kalte Luftzug der durch das Restaurant zog, als jemand etwas in den Laden brachte (Tür stand [jetzt im Winter]) mehrere Minuten offen, trübte den guten Eindruck. Getränke sind für mein Empfinden ein Tick zu teuer. 3,75€ für ein Flaschengetränk (0,33l) empfinde ich als unangemessen.

Ich besuchte das Restaurant vor drei Tagen und war enttäuscht. Die Wartezeit von über 45 Minuten für einen Salat war unakzeptabel. Die Servicekraft war unhöflich und hat sogar nach Trinkgeld gefragt – ein absolutes No-Go. Die Preise erscheinen mir zu hoch, und der Salat enthielt zu wenig Fleisch, das zudem komplett ölig war. Die hygienebedingten Bedenken, von anderen erwähnt, konnte ich leider auch feststellen. Die Mitarbeiter wirkten unprofessionell, oft am Handy und ohne Handschuhe tätig. Nach dieser Erfahrung werde ich das Restaurant meiden.

Das Restaurant enttäuschte auf ganzer Linie. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war unangemessen, die Sauberkeit ließ zu wünschen übrig, und das Personal arbeitete ohne Handschuhe und wirkte nachlässig. Die Arbeitsfläche war extrem unhygienisch, während die Mitarbeiter mehr mit ihren Handys beschäftigt schienen. Der einzige Lichtblick waren die sauberen Toiletten. Überhaupt keine Weiterempfehlung.

We bestelden één van de vele salades. Verrassend samengesteld met een lekkere dressing. Bestellen bij de counter en wachten tot de uitgedeelde buzzer afgaat. Tja. Daarna afhalen en zeker genieten. De tafeltjes zijn relatief klein maar bruikbaar. Meerdere plekjes met uitzicht op de drukke straat.

Ich war heute Abend da und ich muss sagen dass die blonde Kellnerin sehr nett war und hat uns vorbildlich bedient. Mir ist leider etwas runter gefallen und die große dunkle Bedienung hat es direkt weg gemacht freundlicher weiße. Das Essen und Ambiente war eine 10/10. echt empfelungswert 👍

Endlich eine Kette die dem "Dreck" von Mc Donalds und co Kante zeigen kann. Macht weiter so und toll das ihr viele vegane Gerichte habt. Es schmeckt jedes Mal gleich lecker und Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist auch gut.

Immer super lecker. Mehrere Gerichte probiert und nie enttäuscht worden. Chicken ceasar Salat und Chicken bowl Curry sehr zu empfehlen. Mitarbeiter immer sehr freundlich und geben Auskunft über Allergene und Inhaltsstoffe. Wartezeit ist nie lange. Essen ist frisch und heiß. Tolles Konzept! Update nach 3 Jahren. Bestellen und liefern lassen ist die reinste Katastrophe. Beim letzten Mal falsches Essen bekommen, dann wurde neu geliefert und es haben Sachen gefehlt.... Jetzt erneut bestellt. Schon über eine halbe Stunde zu spät. Werden von der Lieferung wohl Abstand nehmen.

Das Essen ist wirklich lecker und vor allem Frisch. Für Leute die nicht allzu wählerisch sind ist auf jeden Fall alles dabei. Dennoch ist es eher auf die Jüngere Generation zugeschnitten. Der Service ist freundlich und hilfsbereit, jedoch das Ambiente ist mir persönlich etwas zu leer.

Die Mitarbeitenden heute hatten ganz schon Stress und sind damit aber souverän umgegangen. Der Mitarbeitende an der Salatbar schien etwas unbedarft, weshalb es zu längeren Wartezeiten kam. Vielleicht wurde er aber auch heute eingearbeitet. In jedem Fall hat er sein Bestes gegeben und mich stört es nicht auf leckeres Essen im Urlaub etwas zu warten. Salat war wie immer sehr gut. Einen Studentenrabatt gab es auch noch :)

Tolle Bowls, guter Kaffee, ganz zentral direkt an der Porta. Klasse für die schnelle Mittagspause und kurze Auszeit zwischendurch. Vorbestellung möglich, daher perfekt für ein gutes Zeitmanagement.

Mitarbeiter riechen nach Zigaretten, keine Handschuhe, Glassplitter auf dem Boden und immer fehlt was im Essen. Mitarbeiter sind total unfreundlich. Ich gehe dort nicht mehr essen.

Kann ich absolut NIEMANDEN empfehlen!! Die ganze Mannschaft sitzt hinten in der Küche am Handy. Es wird ohne Handschuhe gearbeitet und sobald man sich an den Platz sitzt hört man nur wie gelästert wird und wie sie einen dumm anschauen. Geht überhaupt nicht!!!

Sparmenü bestellt. Auf der Abbildung war ein Brownie zu sehen. Von dem habe ich mir die Hälfte bekommen. Als ich meinte ob das ein Spaß wäre, meinte man zu mir da steht ja kleiner Brownie. Ganz klar ein Fall für den Verbraucherschutz. Da steht nicht einmal Abbildung ähnlich. In den Gerichten ist seit kurzem auch immer mehr Reis drin. Es wird an allen Ecken gespart. Mich würde Mal interessieren, ob das mit dem halben Brownie tatsächlich so vorgegeben ist, oder ob man einfach die Hälfte für was anderes benutzen möchte...

The food was, despite the relatively small portions, of good quality and tasty. In addition, the restaurant was also nicely decorated. Only when paying, the waiter said that the pin machine did not work. We did not have any cash with us and the gentleman could not tell us where the ATM was. Then he also wanted one of us to stay in the restaurant, while the other had to look for an ATM. When we refused and asked if we could at least try to use our pin, the machine simply worked without any problem! We did not have a good feeling about this and therefore do not recommend the restaurant.

I ordered two smoothies today. First, I waited ages to be served. The two girls were completely disorganized. I waited 20 minutes for two smoothies – sorry, that's unacceptable! Their phones were more important than the customers. I won't be going back.
