Namaste Indisches Restaurant in Münster

May 2025: I went to Namaste for the first time today. I read the positive reviews and decided to try it. It was the only right decision! I was absolutely thrilled. The waitress was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She also gave me excellent advice about the food. I had three small fish balls for starters. They were delicious and came with two different chutneys. For the main course, I had tandoori lamb. It usually comes with a delicious yogurt dip, but no special sauce. However, the waitress had offered to serve me a small bowl of sauce during the preliminary conversation. That was really great. The food was truly delicious, and the portion was generous. The dish cost €28, but that was completely reasonable. I'm a big eater, but I did have to work hard after the previous starter. Absolutely outstanding value for money. The drink prices are also very fair. All in all, I was more than satisfied. I was there on a weekday at 4:30 p.m. There were only three or four tables occupied, so I got a seat right away. However, you should always make a reservation in the evenings, and especially on weekends, as they're fully booked. Very understandable, given the excellent food! The restaurant is beautifully decorated.

Had a great meal tonight. Very friendly and helpful service. Very large portions, too much for us personally. Due to transit, take-away was unfortunately not practical for us.

We first visited Namaste shortly after it opened in 2021, and four years later, we booked it as our wedding caterer. Rajesh and the team were very kind and accommodating, and the price was more than fair – we even received food for 50 people even though we had only ordered for 45. Delivery and pickup were included and absolutely hassle-free. We ordered a wide selection of vegan curries, along with rice, pakoras, poppadoms, and chutneys. Rajesh helped us choose and accommodated our guests' food allergies. Rajesh's personal attention to detail, his obvious love for authentic Indian food, and his extremely friendly manner are particularly noteworthy. We highly recommend both the catering service and the restaurant.

An unforgettable culinary experience at Namaste in Münster In my 18 years in Germany, I have never eaten such authentic and tasty Indian dishes as at Namaste in Münster. Every bite transported me back to my homeland, and I was amazed at how perfectly the dishes captured the true essence of Indian cuisine. The tandoori chicken was absolutely delicious – tender, juicy and with just the right mix of Indian spices. An absolute must! The butter chicken was equally spectacular, rich and flavorful with an unmistakably authentic taste. The Kerala chicken curry was another highlight – beautifully spiced and cooked to perfection. We also tried the butter naan and the garlic naan - both were excellent, but the garlic naan really stood out. It was perfectly crispy yet soft and went wonderfully with the curries. What really sets Namaste apart is that each dish is prepared individually and has a distinctive flavor - unlike many Indian restaurants in Germany (including in Münster!!) which rely on a generic, pre-made curry base. And on top of that, the portions are generous, which makes the dining experience even more satisfying. The ambience was warm and cozy, and the service was excellent. We felt warmly welcomed and well looked after. Given the quality and popularity of the food, it's no surprise that the place is quite busy - so reservations are highly recommended. If you are in Münster and want to experience the most authentic Indian food in Germany, Namaste is for you. I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Highly recommended!

Leider war unser Besuch im Restaurant enttäuschend. Das Essen war stark gewürzt und hatte wenig mit authentischer indischer Küche zu tun. Die Portionen waren klein, aber dafür überteuert. Auch der Service ließ zu wünschen übrig – wir mussten lange warten und fühlten uns nicht wirklich willkommen. Das Ambiente war lieblos und ungemütlich. Für uns definitiv kein zweiter Besuch wert.

We came across “Namaste” completely by chance – it’s right next to our hotel. Luckily we had made a reservation the day before because the restaurant is rather small and busy. The food was a real treat: authentic, fresh and full of flavors. The service was not only quick, but also extremely friendly and attentive. We felt completely comfortable and were thrilled by the atmosphere. If our path takes us back to Münster, a visit to “Namaste” is definitely planned!

Rarely have Indian food been so good! Large vegetarian and vegan selection. Very friendly and courteous service. And the mango lassi is to die for!

I was in this restaurant yesterday with my boyfriend and was really hoping that we could have a nice time there - after all, we are both Indian and were looking forward to a bit of hospitality. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case at all. First of all, my friend comes from Paris and couldn't speak German, so we only spoke to the waiters in this restaurant in English, so they thought that I couldn't speak German either. Although there were a lot of free tables inside, we were told that there were only some free ones outside. So we sat outside as the only guests. Shortly afterwards, many other guests arrived and were all allowed to eat inside. That was kind of weird and we wondered why we had to sit outside. When two guests wanted to leave, the waiter ran after them and called them back. The guests then said: “Oh, we didn’t know there were still places available.” Then it became clear to us that there was probably enough space inside. When we asked why we had to sit outside, the waitress started stuttering and said something about "many reservations not being honored" - which didn't sound honest to us. We really didn't feel welcome, which was a shame because we actually expected to be in good hands. Unfortunately, that was a pretty disappointing experience. Difficult concept you have there... — Please mark or describe your reservations!

It's best to make a reservation on the weekend as it gets busy. The food is simply delicious. Service is friendly and helpful. Don't be surprised if it gets crowded and loud. People who prefer to eat comfortably and quietly are out of place here.

Reservation recommended. Restaurant filled to capacity. After dinner we knew why. Super tasty. Papadam on the house and a pint of mango lassie. Food can also be taken away. Friendly staff! Short waiting time for the food - despite the many guests. We will go again.

Table reservation was easy and worked out immediately. The staff was very friendly. A cozy little restaurant. Drinks requests were brought quickly, menu was plentiful and there was something for everyone of all tastes. Food came hot and was very tasty. There are different levels of sharpness that you can choose from. Dishes are very large, so you get full and can even take something with you. I think the price-performance ratio is perfectly fine. All in all it was very top. We'll definitely be back. highly recommended, five stars, definitely!

We ordered. The quality was good, the delivery was quick, the portion size was good. However, I have 2 points of criticism: When ordering you can choose between not spicy, slightly spicy and spicy. We didn't specify sharply. However, it was delivered so spicy that we could hardly eat it. The food was delivered in plastic containers. Nowadays it is also more environmentally friendly.

We had lunch at Namaste today and were extremely satisfied: 5 stars on everything! A very nice restaurant, very courteous service and excellent vegetarian food. The starter was rich and very tasteful (No. 7 Pakoras). The No. 11 Biryani is my absolute recommendation: very cleverly seasoned, a variety of fresh ingredients and, as “medium hot”, very spicy, but not too hot: 5 points!

Excellent food, traditional like in India. I had fish curry with butter naan, very tasty. The service is extremely friendly, fast and attentive. The restaurant was fully booked, even on a Wednesday evening, with new guests constantly, but the service had everything under control. Better reserve a table!

Menu with typical Indian-style dishes with a selectable level of spiciness. The food is delicious and plentiful, the staff attentive and friendly. One star deduction anyway for the drinks prices being a bit too high.
