What a great restaurant so VERY much better than the similarly named restaurant we ate in in Lubeck a few days earlier. The staff here were excellent and very attentive to our needs and queries. We shared onion pakora to start which were excellent. We then had a chicken curry with plain nan which we again shared and struggled to finish. We saw couple nearby who’d ordered individual meals but they mostly didn’t finish their meals due to the very generous portion sizes. I’d a large pilsner and my wife had a large red wine both of which were excellent. The price was so very cheap we rounded it up to leave a tip for the excellent service and food. Can but simply strongly recommend. We were early evening but as we left the restaurant was becoming very much busier so it might be worth pre-booking a table.

Warned today for the first time because everything was very tasty and everything was a 10/10. The staff were super friendly and we didn't have to wait long for food. Thank you for everything

It tastes like authentic Indian food. That is because it is authentic. We haven't had such a good indian food since India. And we often try indian restaurants all over europe. South indian food restaurants are not easy to find, and this is the best you can find for sure.

Had great Indian food after a long time

The spiciness of the dishes is measured in “elephants”. I ordered “3 elephants” for my extremely delicious dish. Despite the spiciness, it was very tasty. Just try it out. Highly recommended for lovers of Indian cuisine. The waitresses were very nice and accommodating (and also authentic). I give this restaurant 4 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🤩.

Great food. I had the chicken korma, my wife had the chicken tikka masala. Our kids had mango chicken and butter chicken. Everyone enjoyed their food. The staff was friendly and we had a wonderful dinner.

Great welcome, we didn't have a reservation, we sat outside the door in wonderful weather. The design of the outside area could be nicer, perhaps when the construction site is finished. I have rarely seen a better service person and she has only been in Germany for a good 2 years. Thank you for the lovely evening.

We had reserved a table in advance and that was a good thing as it was very busy. Went there for dinner with 6 girls. Service was quick and friendly. Typical Indian food, lots of meat in the dish, delicious. I had a chicken dish with spinach and when I ordered I was able to say whether I wanted it mild or spicy/spicy, with rice or with naan bread. Price wise okay. The restaurant is decorated with lots of elephants, but somehow it seems a bit sparse. Something could be done there. The toilets could also be renovated.

Everything went great with the online reservation. We got a great table. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The food was super tasty. The price-performance ratio is also completely fine. We will certainly come back.

We had lamb Madras for lunch. A real treat with the super tasty naan! Kudos to the chef! There was a free mango lassi yoghurt drink. The service was excellent and competently helped with choosing the (medium) level of spiciness. The portion was the perfect size - not excessive. We recommend! We'd love to come back.

Nice Indian Restaurant with tasty dishes and attentive service.

Der Besuch lässt sehr ambivalente Eindrücke zurück. Samstag Abend und das Lokal war mehr als gut besucht. Als Vorspeise Samosa und Vegetable Pakora. Nett mit zwei Saucen angerichtet, und einer Menge grünem Salat. Ich bin grundsätzlich der Meinung, dass man die Deko auch essen können sollte, also hätte dem Salat etwas Öl und Essig gut getan oder auch ein Minz-Dip. Die Samosa waren in Ordnung, aber nicht berauschend. Gleiches galt für die Hauptspeisen, Lamm Madras und Chicken Tikka, alles in Ordnung, aber irgendwie lieblos. Der bestellt Masala Chai schmeckte schlichweg nicht. Das Lokal wird ja sehr stark gelobt, aber das konnten wir nicht nachvollziehen, es war eher mittlerer Durchschnitt. Also, kein Reinfall, aber es gibt in Münster bessere Alternativen.

Wir hatten einen Tisch für zwei Personen gebucht und kamen an den berüchtigten Tisch Nr. 6 Alle Tische für zwei Personen sind hier letztlich zu klein, aber dieser hat eine Säule im Rücken und zum nächsten Tisch kaum Abstand. Wir waren keine Stunde im Restaurant, trotzdem sind mir unter dem Tisch die Beine eingeschlafen. Wenn für bessere Luft im Restaurant die Außentür geöffnet wird, befindet sich dieser Tisch genau im Zug und ist damit als Platz ungeeignet. Das Personal ist schnell und freundlich. Leider spricht der überwiegende Teil schlecht deutsch, teilweise wurden wir direkt auf englisch angesprochen. Die Speisekarte verspricht so einiges an Gerichten und Gewürzkombinationen. Nur.... wo waren die denn? Wir bestellten ein Fisch- bzw. Lamm Curry. Dazu gab es als Beilage ein Nan-Brot oder ein (angeschlagenes) Schüsselchen Reis. Weitere Beilagen, um auf unsere Teller zumindest einen Hauch von Orient zu zaubern, hätten wir extra bezahlen müssen. Weder Fisch noch Lamm schmeckten gewürzt, bevor sie in einer Schüssel mit der jeweiligen Currysauce serviert wurden. Die geradezu euphorische Anpreisung der Kochkunst auf der Speisekarte und auch bei einigen Bewertungen, haben wir nicht nachvollziehen können. Wir hatten einen Tisch für 18:00Uhr bestellt. Das Restaurant war halb belegt, aber aufgrund der Akustik im Raum, herrschte ein Geräuschpegel wie in einer Kantine. So verließen wir die "Wunderwelt der indischen Gewürze" nach weniger als einer Stunde. Mein Mann hat sich dann zuhause noch ein Butterbrot zubereitet.

The appearance is more like that of a pub than an Indian restaurant. The food is really delicious and the mango lassie is also extremely good. Price performance is also balanced and the service is friendly and not intrusive.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Namastea and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. The ambiance is warm and inviting, perfectly complementing the rich aromas that greet you upon entering. The menu offers a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, each bursting with flavour. I particularly enjoyed the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Paneer Butter Masala – both were cooked to perfection and seasoned beautifully. The naan bread was fresh and fluffy, and the mango lassi was a delightful treat.The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and incredibly friendly, making sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive. Overall, Namastea is a gem for anyone craving genuine Indian cuisine. I had 40' to change and was very hungry and found at Namaste (maybe 100m outside the train station) an uncomplicated ordering process, extremely friendly service and great food (chicken sabji, good portion, tender chicken, vegetables with a bite, super tasty, fruity tomato curry - Sauce). It's a shame that you don't live in Münster and can come/pick up more regularly 🫶

War bereits zweimal dort. Das Essen schmeckt super, die Bedienung ist freundlich und insgesamt sehr Serviceorientiert. Hähnchen war nicht ganz durch, es wurde ein komplett neues Essen gebracht. Preis Leistung ist einfach Top. Auch für größere Gruppen geeignet. Kartenzahlung auch möglich.

Very friendly welcome in the small, fine Namaste. The staff is extremely attentive and courteous. When it comes to choosing dishes, it is difficult to decide. A look at the neighboring tables reveals that everything looks delicious and smells so delicious. The food was incredibly delicious…a delight for the senses. Butter chicken was absolutely amazing! Naan was super tasty. Unfortunately, service with students is always a little unprofessional, we had to wait a long time until we were discovered despite having a reservation. Atmosphere is tiring because of the volume. Definite recommendation for anyone who loves Indian cuisine.

Very friendly and uncomplicated. Even though it was busy, we were spontaneously offered a nice table. The food was absolutely delicious and all individual requests, such as the spiciness, were taken into account. We all (2 adults, 1 teenager, 1 child) felt very comfortable.

Durch TripAdvisor sind wir auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen und haben zum ersten Mal indisches Essen probiert. Es hat uns hervorragend geschmeckt! Neben dem guten Essen hat der Service auch nicht enttäuscht. Es wurde zu Beginn gefragt, wie scharf man sein Essen gerne hätte und auf Nachfrage auch beraten. Am Ende erkundigte man sich dann noch, ob die Schärfe in Ordnung gewesen sei. Alles in Allem ein sehr positives Ganzes. Wir kommen gerne wieder :)

I was there today with my family, except for the ladies from the cash register, everyone stays in their own world, we want to eat buffet, unfortunately the cook isn't there and yet I had other people's orders take so long, that's why we all canceled our meal and came back home. First of all we want to eat buffe, it went so badly.😥 They are new. We have to organize them every day before the restaurant opens, so that things don't go so wrong.

Namaste impresses across the board with truly excellent food and courteous service. There is plenty of choice for vegetarians and vegans and any sensitivity to spiciness is taken into account. The restaurant is a bit old, but still has a certain charm.

For years I had been recommended to visit Namaste, and today everything was finally right. Of course it's better to make a reservation, but you can still get a table outside of core times, so I took my chance today. I like to eat Indian food, especially in foreign cities, but the preparation here was consistently better. Lots of spices created a complex flavor, the chicken was cooked perfectly, the rice was indeed unusual and very tasty. Unsurprisingly, everything else was perfect: the service was impeccable, the staff attentive and everything was clean and well-maintained. The waiting time for the food is pleasantly short. Anyone expecting the typical Indian interior here is likely to be disappointed. But this restaurant has arrived in the 21st century and has left the English relics behind, visually too. In terms of price, we're on the higher end here, but the food is actually worth every cent.

Always worth a visit - I've never eaten anything here that didn't taste incredibly delicious & I've already tried a few dishes. Very good selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes! The price is a bit higher, but in my opinion it's worth it!

Keine Frage, im Namaste kann man lecker indisch essen. Alles, was wir hatten war wirklich gut abgeschmeckt, von den Gewürzen her gut abgeschmeckt und lecker. Vom Essen her, wären fünf Sterne drin, aber das Drumherum verhindert es. Der Service war engagiert im Sinne von: nett und freundlich. Warum aber mehrere leere Tische abgewischt werden müssen, bevor wartende Gäste auch nur die Karte bekommen, bleibt uns ein Rätsel. Aus wären die Metallschüsseln auf einem Stövchen sicher länger warm geblieben. Wie gesagt, alle sind freundlich, wirken aber eher unorganisiert. Ein wichtiger Tipp für alle, die sich diese Bewertung durchlesen und zu zweit kommen: Lasst Euch auf keinen Fall den Tisch 6 geben. Der ist nicht nur ungünstig platziert, sondern auch an einer Säule, sodass zumindest größere rechtshändige Menschen nicht so bequem essen können. Dass daneben die Treppe zu den Toiletten runtergeht oder links hinter dem Tisch die Eingangstür ist - geschenkt. Wie gesagt, lecker und sicher mit Potenzial.

Very busy restaurant with relatively tight seating. The food came very quickly and in large portions. We ended up taking leftovers with us. The taste was good, but the vegetarian dal was missing something. Overall, classic Indian: sit, eat, walk.

We visited the restaurant during our day trip to Münster. Without a reservation we got a table for two. Our starters (tomato soup and samosa) and main courses with paneer were delicious. You can choose the level of spiciness of the food yourself. This was very pleasant.

Despite the restaurant being full, the service was always attentive and very friendly! The food came very quickly and we were able to eat together because everyone got their food at the same time. Unfortunately I had to subtract a bit for the ambience as the volume level was very high. All in all, worth recommending!
