Namaste Indisches Restaurant in Münster

I'm really pleased to have a very good Indian restaurant in Münster again. The staff member was very friendly and efficient. Drinks were ordered in advance and arrived promptly while we were still deciding what to eat. The menu isn't particularly extensive; traditionally, the dishes are "only" available in chicken and lamb versions. However, with these, you had to carefully consider which preparation method and which spices you wanted to try. The food also arrived quickly; we ordered a garlic naan and a chicken and lamb dish each. I think it's a shame that the dishes aren't served on a hot plate. The rice gets cold quickly anyway and could be reheated with the sauces from the main course, if they weren't already almost cold after a short time. We also noticed this at an Indian restaurant in Berlin; what a shame! I have to praise Chinese restaurants for that. The room is nicely bright and nicely decorated; you feel comfortable and can have a good conversation because it's not noisy. Totally acceptable value for money. We'd be happy to come back.

An absolutely terrible experience. The waiter with glasses was extremely rude from the start. He constantly interrupted us while we were talking and acted like he was the boss – even though he clearly had no idea how to treat guests. His smile was completely fake, he didn't listen, and he wasn't helpful at all. Instead of doing his job, he flirted with another employee. This was totally unprofessional and made the entire visit unpleasant. I will never go back to this restaurant and cannot recommend it to anyone who values respectful interaction and good service.

Easily one of the best Indian restaurants we have been to in Germany. We had authentic south Indian Ghee Roast served with fresh chutney and Sambar.

The food is delicious, especially the butter chicken and garlic naan. I highly recommend it. We'll be happy to come back!

Even without a reservation, the three of us quickly got a table. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We received excellent advice. It's also great that you can choose between different spice levels. The food, no matter what you choose, is truly delicious. The service is excellent. It's a good price-performance ratio. This was our first time at Namaste and we'd love to come back. Thank you for the pleasant, enjoyable evening.

Excellent Indian restaurant in the heart of Münster, tasty and (very) generous dishes, perfectly spiced: an explosion of tastes and colors!

The quality of the food was truly excellent. I only deduct one point because you didn't have the option to try different dishes in small portions to experience the incredible, aromatic diversity of Indian cuisine. Otherwise, there was nothing to complain about. The quality and value for money were perfect. They've adjusted the spiciness to suit European palates, so if you like it a little spicier, you don't have to be so careful when ordering.

I had actually planned to eat here and read a few reviews beforehand. I noticed that critical reviews seem to be getting deleted. I find that extremely unprofessional. I've decided not to visit. Edit: Nowhere does it claim that I've been reading reviews for months. I saw from some reviews (and their replies) that there should be more reviews. I can't find them anymore.

Reserving a table online was easy and straightforward. We received a reservation confirmation very quickly. The service was prompt and very friendly. For starters, we had the tomato soup and the fish balls. The starters were very tasty, although we weren't so keen on the chutney that came with the balls. There is a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. I had the Palak Paneer (12). It was delicious and freshly prepared. My husband had the Chicken Tikka (31) and was equally impressed. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful restaurant right next to Münster train station! I spontaneously went here with my girlfriend during the week and was thrilled. The food was excellent, the service friendly, attentive, and extremely prompt, and even the ambiance, right next to Bremer Platz, was almost pleasant thanks to its renovation. However, it's worth being careful about the spice level: We ordered "not at all spicy," and the food was just barely spicy (which is perfectly fine in an Indian restaurant, you just have to be aware of it). The prices were quite high, but manageable with City4two. We'd love to come back sometime! 😊

Unfortunately, the restaurant didn't impress us. We specifically ordered a dish without mushrooms. The waiter took note of it but didn't write it down or anything. Unfortunately, the dish came with mushrooms, which were then laboriously picked out because we wanted to eat together. The food was only lukewarm, not hot, so the small tealight didn't help much. In the end, we were served by a young lady. We told her we had ordered the dish without mushrooms. All she offered was an apology and nothing more. What a shame.

Overrated!!!! This was our first and last time here. I chose this restaurant based on the very good reviews. I've eaten Indian food several times in Berlin. No comparison to this place, sorry. It looks like a waiting room/canteen (two napkins spread out with cutlery plates). How anyone can give this place 5 stars for the ambiance is highly questionable. (The large gold-colored wall hanging and the sparse colorful chains on the ceiling, for an Indian restaurant, well, that's okay.) The tables were much too small and so narrow, the gap between the neighboring table and ours was at most 40 cm. It was incredibly loud just from the people, and then the music tried to drown out everything. The large staff was friendly, but disorganized. We waited 40 minutes for the appetizer. Shortly before (5 minutes at most), some caraway bread with two kinds of dip arrived as a greeting from the kitchen. Plates aren't changed between the starter and main course. The food was okay, and 4 of the 6 dishes were lukewarm. The 50, for example, included 2 pieces of lamb with lots of rice, raisins, etc., all very dry. The same dish, but with 2 pieces of chicken, was just as dry, all in all boring and only spicy, even though there are so many more spices. The dish with chicken and spinach tasted like spinach with the bubbles and could only be ordered medium-spicy, even though there was no elephant in it. The dessert, rice pudding, was simply rice pudding cooked with cardamom, boring, and the dough balls in syrup were so sweet, a guaranteed sugar rush. The price/performance ratio isn't right here, far too expensive!!!

The butter chicken and homemade naan were particularly heavenly. The vegetarian dishes are also highly recommended – aromatic, varied, and prepared with love. The service was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and warm – you immediately feel welcome. The atmosphere is cozy, stylish, and inviting. I'll definitely be back – a culinary highlight not to be missed!

I think the main courses were overpriced, and the amount of lamb was very limited. Furthermore, an extra mini bowl of chutney cost 3.50 for a ready-made product! The food tasted good, but the two points above annoyed me, hence the two points deducted! In terms of taste, this Indian restaurant is in the good middle range.

May 2025: I went to Namaste for the first time today. I read the positive reviews and decided to try it. It was the only right decision! I was absolutely thrilled. The waitress was incredibly friendly and accommodating. She also gave me excellent advice about the food. I had three small fish balls for starters. They were delicious and came with two different chutneys. For the main course, I had tandoori lamb. It usually comes with a delicious yogurt dip, but no special sauce. However, the waitress had offered to serve me a small bowl of sauce during the preliminary conversation. That was really great. The food was truly delicious, and the portion was generous. The dish cost €28, but that was completely reasonable. I'm a big eater, but I did have to work hard after the previous starter. Absolutely outstanding value for money. The drink prices are also very fair. All in all, I was more than satisfied. I was there on a weekday at 4:30 p.m. There were only three or four tables occupied, so I got a seat right away. However, you should always make a reservation in the evenings, and especially on weekends, as they're fully booked. Very understandable, given the excellent food! The restaurant is beautifully decorated.

We first visited Namaste shortly after it opened in 2021, and four years later, we booked it as our wedding caterer. Rajesh and the team were very kind and accommodating, and the price was more than fair – we even received food for 50 people even though we had only ordered for 45. Delivery and pickup were included and absolutely hassle-free. We ordered a wide selection of vegan curries, along with rice, pakoras, poppadoms, and chutneys. Rajesh helped us choose and accommodated our guests' food allergies. Rajesh's personal attention to detail, his obvious love for authentic Indian food, and his extremely friendly manner are particularly noteworthy. We highly recommend both the catering service and the restaurant.
