Tolles essen, und dazu noch die freundliche und aufmerksame Kellner!

Es ist wirklich ein fantastisches Restaurant. Das Essen ist sehr lecker. Die Angestellten sind außerdem sehr höflich und zuvorkommend. Tolle Atmosphäre! 🙂🙂

Unser Besuch im Naan n Curry war leider etwas enttäuschend. Das Essen an sich war zwar geschmacklich in Ordnung und die Auswahl durchaus ansprechend, jedoch gab es einen ärgerlichen Punkt, der den Gesamteindruck deutlich getrübt hat: Trotz eines gut sichtbaren Schildes, das Kartenzahlung ankündigt, war diese vor Ort nicht möglich. Auch eine Rechnung konnte man uns auf Nachfrage nicht ausstellen. Gerade in der heutigen Zeit ist es sehr unpraktisch, wenn man sich auf solche Angaben verlässt und dann plötzlich bar zahlen muss. Das sorgt für unnötigen Stress und wirkt wenig kundenfreundlich. Hier sollte dringend für Klarheit gesorgt werden, damit Gäste nicht in eine unangenehme Situation geraten. Insgesamt besteht Potenzial, aber in diesem Punkt besteht definitiv Verbesserungsbedarf.

Immer wieder gut und noch immer erfreulich günstig. Dazu ist die Auswahl an Speisen sehr umfangreich.

Am Samstag 18.4.26 zum Abend hier gut gegessen. Es wurde ab 17.30 voll. Entweder bestellt oder spontan so wie wir. Hatten dennoch gute Bedingung ob bei der Bestellung oder bei der essensausgabe. Es hat uns gut geschmeckt. Danke an die Küche. Wir fanden die Preise wunderbar, da wir aus Berlin kommen, da kennt man andere Preise. Alles in einem, es war lecker. Nach der Rechnung kam noch,,, absacker,, Dankeschön dafür.

Sehr lecker - ABER: Die Portionen sind um die Hälfte geschrumpft! Das finde ich extrem schade. Die Preise entsprechen denen vor einem Jahr nur bekommt man fast nichts mehr fürs Geld.

Eigentlich würden wir 3,5 Sterne geben, das geht aber offenbar nicht. 😕 Das Personal war überwiegend freundlich und aufmerksam, nur zum Abschied irgendwie nicht mehr so sehr. Das Essen war für unseren Geschmack etwas zu süß, mit zu wenig Würze, aber auf keinen Fall schlecht. 🙂 Ich kann mir vorstellen, dass der Gaumen in dieser Region es genauso möchte und Geschmäcker sind sowieso verschieden. Die Portionen waren riesig und die Preise angemessen. Es ist toll, dass man als Veganer*in so viel Auswahl auf der Speisekarte findet. 💚 Im Restaurant wurde es leider schnell sehr überfüllt und laut. Die ohnehin mäßig laute Musik machte das Erlebnis insgesamt etwas stressig. Dennoch ist das Naan n Curry einen Besuch wert. Am besten sollte vorher aber reserviert werden.👍

Essen geschmacklich wirklich top und sehr authentisch. Das Naan war lecker, allerdings gab es bei unserer Bestellung zum Mitnehmen eine kleine Verwechslung bei den Zutaten. Auch der Service wirkte an diesem Tag etwas lustlos. Da das Essen aber qualitativ hochwertig ist, vergeben wir noch gute 3 Sterne. Potenzial nach oben ist beim Service vorhanden.

Tolles Ambiente, sehr Authentisch und modern. Service war ok teils sehr Freundlich und Aufmerksam teils etwas mit Unlust und Unaufmerksamkeit. Essen war frisch und im Prinzip lecker... Leider (für uns nicht ganz Authentisch) Souce mit Sahne , Tandoori Grill Teller der warscheinlich nie einen Tandoor Grill gesehen hat nur viel Tandoori Marsala Paste . Naan frisch aber es fehlte an Salz und generell Würze . Alles in allem ein guter Inder mit Verbesserungspotenzial .

Wir würden dieses Restaurant nicht empfehlen. Trotz Vorbestellung wurden wir nicht bedient. Bekamen weder Getränke noch Speisen. Nach einer dreiviertel Stunde verließen wir das Restaurant. Wir bedankten uns beim Personal, dass wir nicht bedient wurden. Diese standen gelangweilt an der Bar. Sie waren sehr überrascht, obwohl sie uns im Keller plaziert hatten. Sehr zufriedene Gäste 😡

Ich war mit meiner Mutti zu ihrem 75. Geburtstag hier essen. Sie kannte das Loch noch aus DDR-Zeiten (Bonzenrestaurant) und war sehr begeistert was mittlerweile für ein gutes Lokal in dieser "alten Höhle" entstanden ist. Wir wurden wirklich sehr freundlich empfangen, das Essen war sehr lecker. Zum Abschluss haben wir uns sogar noch einmal über die Geschichte des Hauses unterhalten. Insgesamt ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt. Wir werden sicherlich noch einmal wieder kommen.

Schade hatte Naan zum mitnehmen und bei einer Portion nur die Hälfte und das mit Rosinen, Mandeln und Kokos war nur mit Kokos

The service in the restaurant is very friendly, and it's also very clean. The food tastes very good, is richly spiced, and there's a wide selection. The lassi drinks are also excellent. There's often soft Indian music playing in the background, which adds to the pleasant atmosphere. A definite recommendation and always worth a visit.

A paradise for lovers of Indian food. It's lovingly decorated, and the delicious, hearty food adds to the experience. The desserts and yogurt drinks are also highly recommended.

Naan n Curry is an Indian restaurant in the heart of Saalfeld. When looking for it, you should be aware that it's the location of the former restaurant "Das Loch" (The Hole), with the entrance directly on the shopping street. I even walked past it several times without knowing this, even with my sat nav in hand, as it led me directly from the "cineplex" cinema. Generally speaking, the restaurant offers a cozy and inviting ambiance. Everything seems a bit dark, which, for me, exudes a certain tranquility and somehow lives up to the name "Das Loch." If that's not a problem, you'll definitely feel at home in this restaurant. The staff seems friendly and competent. It's best to express yourself clearly to avoid any communication problems. I would have liked to see them ask more often about any requests, such as fresh drinks, etc. Perhaps this was because the place was fully booked, even on a Wednesday evening. We also waited quite a while for the bill and paid it right at the counter because we had to attend a follow-up appointment. The house liqueur was a perfect way to round off the meal. The food itself was fantastically delicious. The selection couldn't be bigger. There's something for every taste and every appetite. Until the meal was served, a few slices of thin flatbread and various sauces were served, which I also found very pleasant. The portions weren't too generous, but perfectly adequate for me as a good eater. The prices for the dishes are also completely reasonable, and in my opinion, unexpectedly low for a town like Saalfeld and the restaurant's location. All in all, I definitely recommend it for a successful evening. If you have a little patience, you'll certainly be rewarded with excellent food.

A real asset to Saalfeld as a district town! As a self-proclaimed Indian food fan, I can say the food is incredibly delicious and of high quality. With very friendly, competent, and attentive staff, you're in good hands and can enjoy the venerable walls. Always worth a visit.

The food is delicious. Portions have become noticeably smaller, but the price remains the same – a real shame. Less rice, and no mango liqueur after paying. For around €22 per person, you can still go there. Beer is still reasonable at €4.30 for a half liter.

Amazing restaurant. Wonderful food, out of this world service and a very nice atmosphere. We have some complicated food requirements and the waiter was very patient and helped a lot. He was also very patient with our sometimes questionable German haha. When we had ordered, the waiter came back to tell us one of the dishes we ordered actual contained a sauce made with something we couldn’t eat. We could just simply change. Lot of other waiters wouldn’t have came back. Absolutely delicious food!!😋 Also very clean, big and modern toilets.

The food was very good! Unfortunately, we waited just over an hour for it. The interior is a bit unusual. Pulsating overhead light and a candle on the table, and it's also quite crowded and cramped, making it a bit uncomfortable.

We finally tried the new Indian restaurant in Saalfeld, and it fully met our expectations. The staff was plentiful, very friendly, and accommodating. The ambiance was pleasant, clean, and beautifully decorated in an Indian style. There are many paintings of the gods of India in the vaulted ceiling. The food was delicious. We started with a welcome from the kitchen (thin, crispy flatbread with three dips). There wasn't a long wait. We tried a lot of things, and everything was very tasty and delicious, with a certain basic spice. You can also order less spicy or more spicy. We can 100 percent recommend it! Please make a reservation if possible. It's very popular! Thank you for the lovely evening with the great food. The price/performance ratio is reasonable.

We were at Naan n Curry on a Saturday evening in May. The restaurant and terrace were very busy. Orders were taken quickly, and drinks were served promptly. Starters and the children's meals were brought promptly. Unfortunately, it took almost an hour for the main course to arrive. It took a little longer for the tables to be cleared. The food was very, very tasty, and the portions were generous. The paneer was excellent, and the sauces were flavorful but not too spicy. Dessert is also recommended. The floor is very smooth and slippery in every corridor, in front of the restroom, and at the bottom of the stairs to the basement. Not suitable for people with poor footing. Fortunately, the fall at the bottom of the stairs was no problem. The floor should only be cleaned with the appropriate cleaner.

The food was great. Appetizers and nightcaps on the house. Very good value for money. The light was a bit irritating, but it didn't detract from the mix of historical ambience and Indian decoration, which mesh surprisingly well. Price with three drinks was around €30 per person.

Great ambience here with excellent service. Food quality is okay. They seem to be aware of gluten sensitivities and take necessary precautions.

From the outside it looks more like home-style cooking. The food was very mildly seasoned, but was very tasty. What was more irritating was the radiator that was in the guest room to heat it. Staff was also very nice.

Overall the curries, and yes the naans as well, were tasty and good. However, we ordered a range of 'mild' to 'very hot' and they all lacked any spice at all. They were like the Harkonens and we were the Empire demanding the spice--but ultimately they did not deliver. (Go read Dune if you don't get that reference). Again, it was overall a good experience but the variety in spice levels would make it a truly great place.

We reserved a table for today about 4 weeks ago. Unfortunately we found ourselves in front of a closed door today. On the front door it was written that from today Monday is always a day of rest. Very unfortunate

Fantastic Indian Dining Experience I love chicken tikka masala and mix girl lamb Nilgiri I had an amazing time at this restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was packed with flavor and prepared to perfection. The staff were incredibly friendly and made us feel right at home. The food tastes really good and isn't spicy either. There is a large and balanced selection of dishes, a lot of vegetarian, otherwise chicken and lamb. In the evening we got a free starter of 3 dips and a special bread, really tasty. The service is friendly and talented. The portions are good, not too much and not too little. Every meal comes with rice and naan bread, which makes it easy to dose. There are many Indian specialties, both in drinks and food. For example, Indian wine or tandoor dishes, which are really highly recommended! We'd love to come back.

The food was very tasty and we were also very satisfied with our service. Waiting time for food was completely ok - about 20 minutes. We didn't get the papadam with the three sauces as a free starter, but other guests did, according to reviews. Not so bad. However, I was particularly disappointed by the following: We were simply charged for the naan bread, which according to the menu card was supposed to be served free of charge with the meal. We were also charged for 2 meals as a chicken option, even though we had taken the vegetarian option. Since my mother (older lady) went in alone to pay, I unfortunately only found out about this after we had already left. With two women and a child you can do it...

The food was good. The Channa Masala and the Raijta were very tasty. Unfortunately I didn't like the naan. I've eaten this much better. Unfortunately, the salad was drowned in sauce, which tasted nothing special. The ambience is ok. The constantly changing light in the lower guest room is a bit tiring. The service is attentive. The prices are very good. The selection is huge. The waiting times were short.

We occasionally go to Naan n Curry and the food is always very good. The best are the lassis, the various naan breads and the paneer dishes. 👍🏻

We went to “Naan n Curry” on Friday evening without a reservation and were very satisfied! All the employees were super friendly and accommodating. There was a small appetizer and a schnapps on the house, both very tasty! The dishes we ordered came very quickly and we all really enjoyed them. We felt very comfortable and would love to come back again!

We went to Naan n Curry on a Saturday evening in Spring 24. The restaurant was well attended. The order was taken quickly and drinks and appetizers were served promptly. However, it took almost an hour until the main course. That's why there are only 3 stars for service. What can be said about the food is that it was very tasty and the portions were appropriate. After the long break it was almost too much for me. Paneer was excellent and the sauces were spicy, just as hoped. All in all, a recommendation, even for vegetarians, if you are traveling in Saalfeld.

A special experience, you don't find Indian restaurants too often. The meal was a special treat. The variety of spices was simply great. The service staff were very friendly and attentive. The ambience had a very small flaw, but the restaurateurs can't do anything about that. This traditional restaurant doesn't fit in well with the Indian atmosphere.

If you want to try something different, this is the right place for you. An alternative to schnitzel and steak. If you're not familiar with Indian food, keep in mind that there is no beef or pork here! The dishes we chose tasted good, it's just a matter of taste 😉 There are also a few vegetarian dishes on the menu. It was very crowded and very warm, you should reserve in advance. Service was okay.

This is how gastronomy can be - very good food, fair prices, very courteous service and that too 7 days a week. So it works after all ☺️. Very good “Indian” in Saalfeld/Saale in the pedestrian zone. Get a place outside without registering. Due to the quality and the associated popularity, it certainly doesn't hurt to book in advance if you want to go to this restaurant. We felt that we were very valued as guests and the food was delicious. We will go there more often 👍

We went there for dinner for the first time on New Year's Eve. It's a matter of taste. Everyone as they like it. We want to try it out. Starter was great. Main course went like this. But one thing didn't work at all. Rosé wine was warm and the intermediate...ouzo too. So dear staff. You absolutely have to change that. The service wasn't that nice either.

Der erste Besuch in diesem Restaurant. Es herrscht eine gemütliche Atmosphäre, die Kellner sind sehr aufmerksam. Das Essen war super lecker, trotz alles Skepsis im Vorhinein für den zu erwartenden fremdländischen Geschmack. Alles frisch zubereitet. Ich war auf das angenehmste überrascht und werde gerne wiederkommen.
