We stumbled upon this lovely restaurant by chance. We've rarely eaten such good Greek food. The ambiance and service were also excellent.

The food at Mykonos was, as always, delicious. The service was friendly and fast. The only downside...Since the Greek restaurant is very popular and tables are rarely available without a reservation, the noise level is very high.

We went bowling. The food was delicious and the portions were more than adequate. The prices were reasonable. The lane is in working order and was a good place to play. Unfortunately, some of the tiles and balls are a bit damaged. Furthermore, the bowling alley is also used as a storage room. The restaurant itself is very nice and tidy.

The staff was unfriendly and inattentive. They didn't ask us if we wanted anything to drink in two hours. I'm used to Greek cuisine/friendliness, but you get an ouzo => no such thing. The food was mediocre. The air was extremely oppressive, and they only opened the windows late at night, even though we asked. The ambiance deserves positive mention.

We were invited there for dinner today. ..... Now I'm giving it 5 well-deserved stars. Tasteful ambiance from the dining room to the winter garden to the outdoor area. Clean, modern restrooms, but only one cubicle per gender. (Perhaps a bit risky considering the number of seats.) The service was prompt, discreet, and courteous, and the food excellent. Authentic tzatziki and farmer's salad – with very good olive oil. The grilled octopus was perfectly cooked, and swapping the side dishes made no difference in price. All the meat was tender and juicy – ​​that was truly excellent work from the kitchen. Of course, they also served the classic ouzo on the house, although it was a bit too cold for my liking, but that's a matter of taste. I would recommend it to others and I'll go back! Καλή όρεξη!

While searching for a nice restaurant, we stumbled upon Mykonos and didn't regret it. Super friendly people and a great atmosphere – inside and especially outside. The food was also delicious – so everything was done right.

The food was tasty, the ambiance was pleasant, and the servers were friendly. My au gratin mushrooms for the appetizer were unfortunately only lukewarm, but they reheated them later. The fries and gyros for the main course were also only moderately warm for all of us. The mixed salad was crisp but not cold. In my opinion, there's clearly a problem with the minimum temperatures required for serving food.

Good Greek food in a lovely setting with friendly staff. Despite the fact that our food took a while to arrive (the receipt was lost in the kitchen), we were very impressed. A large selection of dishes, including fresh fish, is on the menu. The restaurant was busy, so reservations are definitely recommended. We'd be happy to come back. Regarding parking: There are parking spaces along the main street. You may have to walk a bit, but I don't think that should be a problem.

In our opinion, this is the best Greek restaurant in Gelsenkirchen. Authentic Greek cuisine is served here, and the wine list includes almost exclusively Greek wines.

We've been to this restaurant several times now. We've repeatedly noticed that the atmosphere between the boss and the staff can sometimes seem tense. From our perspective, he behaves rather sternly towards the employees and sometimes uses a tone that we found unfriendly. We found this particularly unpleasant to witness in a crowded restaurant. We naturally understand that a boss wants everything to run smoothly. However, we would prefer it if he supported them personally in such moments, rather than visibly passing the pressure on to the team. We would like to highlight the positive aspects: The food is excellent (we highly recommend the tzatziki with pita!) and we also really like the ambiance. That's precisely why we would like it if the atmosphere were more harmonious – then this restaurant could become our absolute favorite. My review represents my personal opinion and perception, which I gained while visiting the restaurant. Very friendly and quick staff, plenty of seating inside and in the beautifully landscaped beer garden. Reservations are recommended during peak times. Dogs are allowed inside and outside. The food portions are generous and attractively presented. For larger groups, meals were served simultaneously. A glass of ouzo on the house as we left... Highly recommended! A unique Greek restaurant with some original dishes. A beautiful beer garden that you wouldn't expect to find behind the facade. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fine.

Beautiful beer garden, a lovely place to sit in the summer. The food has both good and bad points. The baked feta coated in sesame and served with thyme honey was incredibly delicious. The oven-baked feta, on the other hand, was almost completely flavorless, with two dashes of oregano definitely not adding any flavor. I would have liked to try the taramas, but unfortunately they were out. Tzatziki was okay, but nothing spectacular. Main courses like bifteki, gyros, and liver were all very tasty. The yogurt with honey and walnuts was unfortunately rather bland. There was very little honey, and the walnuts were far too finely ground and not enough. For the price I paid, I'm a bit annoyed.

We were there with four people. The ambiance is OK. The fact that the waiter started clearing our plates while others at the table were still eating was more of a disruption and mishandled service. When we raised our voices about the bill, our corresponding hand signals were busily and skillfully ignored, so it took a while for the waiter to arrive at the table to register our payment request. We were then presented with a bill without any receipt – I've only ever seen that from establishments that don't take their accounting seriously. The food on offer was more like a snack bar, and didn't really impress anyone, even in terms of quantity. The sauce was more like colored water with a sauce-like appearance. The dessert was supposedly puff pastry with ice cream? Disgustingly sweet, the puff pastry was more of a tough dough that couldn't be cut; the shell looked like a cocoon. The fact that you had to spend almost €130 for this (2 steak plates with three mini steaks (turkey, beef, pork), water sauce, some thin-cut fries/rice, a children's plate, an appetizer, desserts, and five Cokes) is outrageous. For the same thing of the same quality, you would have paid well over €50 at a Greek chip shop. Not to mention that you couldn't even verify the accuracy of the bill due to the lack of a receipt. But perhaps the specially ordered designer mayo/ketchup portions justify the extremely high price? In any case, I don't think I'll go there again and advise other guests to reconsider a visit.

Disastrous food. We love Greek food...But that's a disgrace. Our daughter ordered on the phone and then picked it up. At first I was shocked that the meal cost 50 euros. Then I was pissed after we opened the packaging. I wanted a large salad (it wasn't bigger than the side salad), the gyros weren't even remotely crispy and the fries were completely raw. That's cheeky and you should think about how long you have to work to earn 50 euros net. Two gyro plates and a small bowl (that's all it was) with gyros for that price is a mess. For a few euros more we could have gone to our regular Greek friend in Mülheim and would have been happy to pay the money. Never here again!

Das beste griechische Restaurant in Gelsenkirchen! Wir waren anlässlich des Geburtstages meines Mannes im Mykonos. Wir sind herzlich empfangen worden und wurden sofort bedient. Der tolle Service hat uns den ganzen Abend über fantastisch bedient. Das Essen, wir haben beide den Pfefferspieß gewählt, war von erstklassiger Qualität. 4 Sorten Fleisch, die auf dem Punkt zubereitet waren. Die Soße und Beilagen waren ebenso toll. Das ganze wurde dann auch noch mit einem Überraschungsdessert gekrönt. Mehr geht nicht. Preis und Leistung sind hier ebenso absolut korrekt. Wir hatten einen wunderschönen Abend und sind verwöhnt worden. :-) Vielen Dank dafür. Wir können das Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen und kommen garantiert wieder!!

The first impression in the dark was rather mediocre. The restaurant is very poorly lit and rather inconspicuous. But inside it's quite the opposite, very cozy and beautiful.
