It's a nice place to sit and eat. The food is good, but the prices aren't normal anymore. I paid €5.80 for a portion of fries (€2.80) with hunter's sauce (€3) to go. Apparently, this was due to the increased VAT. This was already at 19% even before the coronavirus pandemic!

I ordered a gyro plate with salad and was sure that normally it should have tzatziki. At home I noticed that the whole thing was pretty dry, so I went again. There I was told that I had ordered it without tzatziki - which I highly doubt. Well, I thought, then just an extra portion. The price? €5.50 just for tzatziki! Bit cheeky, right? This can also scare away your customers. No recommendation forgets it. Go to Dilli or Apostolos

A busy restaurant with its own delivery service. At around 7:00 p.m. we just managed to get a seat without pre-booking. The service is attentive and very quick. The food is delicious and the portions are great.

Attention rip-off, Peter Giesel should be informed. We ordered something yesterday and my father, who is older, simply paid without thinking. Then I noticed something on the menu that no one had seen. A spoonful of tzatziki costs a whopping €4 extra. What is free at some snack bars is charged an incredible €4 here. We ordered 5 meat dishes 5x 4€ = 20€ for a bit of tzatziki. At Lidl the fun costs €2 for a whole bucket. Paying extra for it isn't the problem, but €4 for a spoonful of tzatziki is just audacious. Will never order there again.

For a portion of fries with sauce and mayo €5.20....a blob of mayo (approx. 1 tablespoon) and a bit of very liquid sauce (probably ketchup diluted with water from the bucket) which, among other things. doesn't even stick to the sausage and the fries immediately get soggy 1.20 each....is it still possible? The waitress apparently didn't like the fact that my granddaughter came to our table without announcement. Just ordered the red and white fries without a drink...not possible. The portion of fries was very small. Maybe adjusted to the size of the child. But the price for “big ones”. Not recommended. You're happy to pay a little more for quality and service. For the money you get something decent in terms of quality and quantity, but you shouldn't expect too much. A bit too tightly packed with the seating arrangements. You still can't pay with a card there! Cash only! And that in 2025! It only costs around 50 euros per month to have a card reader.

I ordered food today. Gyros complete 2x. Since it wasn't clear on the menu whether tzatziki was included, I ordered 2 portions. Costs for gyros €12.50. I paid €35. After calling, I was told that a single portion of tzatziki costs €5. Crazy. Will not order there again. Fries not very tasty, almost cold and the meat? Well, a well-intentioned 4+. The restaurant is small but nice. However, it wasn't so nice to sit right next to the kitchen. We should have sat down at the entrance. If you come from Franconia/Bavaria you are used to more and different things. It was ok.

I ordered gyros in metaxa sauce and pizza rolls with herb butter were great. I didn't like the herb butter, but it's a matter of taste, so I'll order the aioli next time. All in all a great shop. Only recommended. Will definitely order there again. You deserve 5 stars.

It was great. Servis for costumers is absolutely great. The food is 10 out of the 10. If I come to Gelsenkirchen again, I'll visit this place. You can pay only by cash but I think it's not the problem.

So the food is great, only the schnitzel is too flat. The salad is delicious, turkey ragout, gyros with coleslaw and meat sauce. Fries with sauce 3.70.

Nice mix of restaurant and snack bar. Food was delicious, service was unfortunately a bit inattentive, we sat on dry land for a long time while eating, no one asked if everything was OK or if you would like something more to drink. You can sit outside very comfortably on warm summer evenings.

Ordered food on Saturday, after the promised delivery time of one hour, I called after 1.5 hours and was told that they had called back, which wasn't true. I was offered that the food was kept warm and that it could be delivered. But I gave up on that. It's a shame we always liked ordering from there, which of course we don't do anymore

A nice and cozy restaurant, we felt very comfortable. We sat inside and it was actually a bit tight but otherwise we were very happy. The service was great, the young employee was very nice and accommodating. We had a few “special requests” regarding the food and everything was actually taken into account. The food was fresh and tasty but unfortunately a lot of the flavor was lost due to the tomato sauce. There was really too much sauce and in the end you could almost only taste it. We also ordered dessert, which was delicious. Overall we were very satisfied and will definitely come back.

2024-05-17 A lunch where I ordered a Jägerschnitzel (although on the receipt it says Pfifferlingschnitzel) for €14. It tasted good and was a substantial portion, which was appreciated. Somewhat creepy that the waiter asked if we wanted mayonnaise and adds €1.20 for the little click. Overall, the service was very good and smooth, the restaurant was fresh and located in a quiet area. Definitely seems to be one of the better restaurants in the area.

We always like to come here because it's a nice halfway point between a chip shop and a restaurant and the food is definitely restaurant quality. No matter how busy it is, we have never experienced an unfriendly employee and strongly recommend the location.

I've enjoyed being a customer at Dionysos for years because the food has always been okay. Last Saturday, however, I was shocked when I picked up the Dionysus plate I ordered over the phone from the 06/23 price list for 14.00 euros. At the checkout they tell me 15.50 euros 🥴. Well, the order is ordered, bitten the bullet and left the store with the new price list. Fortunately, I immediately looked at the price list and saw a price of 15.00 euros; So go back and have the 50 cents paid out again. Here's the rest of the history: 10/22: 1:00 p.m. euros; 04/22: 11.50 euros; 10/20: 11.10 euros, before that 10.60 euros, 10.20 euros, 9.80 euros. Just a currywurst/fries/mayo costs 7.80 euros there. Fortunately, there is a grill near me that is cheaper and has been of better quality since the change of ownership. Thank you, Dionysos, for the good hospitality over the last few years, but with the current prices I can only wish you "all the best for the future", although without me, because for that money I can almost eat in a real restaurant.

The staff is always friendly and takes every customer seriously and every wish is fulfilled. Unfortunately, I still have to give "only" 3 stars because I discovered (again) that the prices have been increased for the third time in 2 years. They said about a month ago that they wouldn't increase the prices would increase (despite the VAT increase). I no longer see the point of leaving so much money for a meal.
